I work out here because it’s close to my office but tbh for this being an LA Fitness & being in such a nice neighborhood this place is DISGUSTING. All the machines are rusty and outdated. Sauna always has trash everywhere, bathroom always smells like pee, and old sweat. You can clearly tell they don’t upkeep this place or actually upgrade anything or clean often. If they do, they need to step their game up. It’s filthy.

Wonderful gym! Great staff, they are always willing to help and provide support with people. The equipment is also in great condition. Worst LA Fitness location I’ve ever been. There are no signs on were to park and I took more then 20 minutes to park (15 minutes walking from the gym). Also no cafeteria inside and old machines. I travel a lot with my boyfriend and I always go to different locations, I usually don’t write any review but this is the worst location ever.

Gym closes too early on weekends. After 5-6 pm its a sardine box full of tweens with tri-pods hogging up areas to do 1 set every 10 minutes. Tri-pods need to be BANNED! The parking sucks(not really the gyms fault) and some of equipment need an update. This used to be my favorite spot but its falling off. Too many wannabe-'influencers'. Apart from that, hit some PR's and made some solid gains there. Like I said, it was my favorite location at one point.

I went down here in July of this year, and it was pretty bad. Barbells were rusted, equipment wasn’t cleaned, machines broken, just a mess. It was still a gym of course, but honestly If you want to make progress legitimately, train at somewhere more serious. Atmosphere is like a funeral home. Instead, I recommended Rock fitness, which was an ideal gym coming from someone who lifts in the east coast.

This location has not been renovated since it opened in 2012, the equipment is old and the overall interior is dated for the prices they charge.

They should spend more money on maintaining the gym instead of suing their landlord. If there was any other comparable gym within a mile I would cancel my membership.

Positive - Facility has excellent real estate, exceptional space and lighting along with a decent equipment selection. I appreciated how spacious the gym is compared to most.

Negative - Cleanliness and Customer Care are significantly lacking.

Using a barbell, dumbbell or just about any piece of equipment will leave rust and/or dirt on your hands.

People do not clean equipment after themselves and there were no visible housekeeping staff for up to two hours during my visits to make up for this. For example, a puddle from someone’s spilled water bottle remained untouched next to the barbell benches for the duration of my visit. Wiping equipment before use is an absolute must.

Customer Service felt like the blind leading the blind. I signed up for a guest pass to try the facility; and while some questions were asked to gauge interest in a membership I was quickly dismissed despite it still being a reasonable option for me.

Once the pass was set up, I was given no instruction on checking in/out, validating parking or any general use guidance; only being told the general location of the locker rooms and free weights then left to my own devices. I also discovered that you must bring your own lock for the locker room or you can’t secure your valuables which led to me carrying my bag around the gym with me. Subsequent visits reinforced the above.

In closing, with rumors of Equinox likely coming to the Palm Beach Market, LA leadership should feel hard-pressed to invest in a stronger guest/member experience. The edge this gym has in comparison is limited to the bar that they have set for themselves and will risk significant losses of those members with higher standards and/or disposable income.

I’ll return to this location as-needed but will immediately go elsewhere when something better comes along.

Jackie and Dazz just saved me from an embarrassing experience. I had one of the most indestructible lock in the market and managed to lock my belongings in the locker without the key for it in hands. I was told they close at 10PM over the phone. Rode my bicycle two miles. I got there at 8:55PM. Was told I couldn’t close my account without a manager present. Not only do they close at 9PM but the manager left early. I found out I’ll be charged an additional two months. After ending membership. Worst experience ever.
