My three children have loved every moment at LGA Gymnastics! Over the time they’ve been enrolled, I’ve seen an incredible amount of growth in their strength, coordination, and confidence. The skills they’ve developed here have even helped them excel in the other sports they play — from better body control to improved balance and focus.

The coaches are amazing — patient, encouraging, and truly invested in each child’s progress. My kids adore them and look forward to every class. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable for families.

My daughter has been at Leyva for 2 years. She already participated in the competition team for the first time. Leyva is not only an Academy, they are part of your family. The older gymnast are very supportive with the younger ones. Everyone is supportive with each other and there is no space for rivality.

Excellent, organized gym with top of the line equipment. The coaches have years of experience and tons of knowledge about gymnastics which they pass on to their gymnast. It’s a family oriented staff/gym that encourages and maintains a safe and fun environment. Our daughter trained with her Coach Jeanne (owner) for 12 years, since she was 5 years old. With her vast experience Coach Jeanne along with Coach Maria (owner) and Coach Billy helped develop our daughter Alyssa from the beginners program to Jr Elite to a Level 10 National Champion gymnast. This has culminated in Alyssa now being part of the #2 ranked Florida Gators Gymnastics team!!! They not only helped her with gymnastics but have provided her with valuable life lessons that have made her a responsible, stronger and resilient person. For all this we are extremely grateful. If you’re looking for a great place for your child to learn and develop and grow as a gymnast/person we HIGHLY recommend Leyva Gymnastics Academy where dreams turn into reality!!!

We couldn’t be happier with this gym. Our daughter has advance so much since she started. She started in recreational moving up to the competition team and now she just finished her first competition season with amazing results. Coaches are patient, knowledgeable and always available. My daughter loved the classes, so that says something. However, as her mom, I had to pull her out. The classes aren’t very structured, and the instructors seem to be very laissez faire about how the classes go and how much playing and talking go on during the classes. My daughter was in the beginner class, and there wasn’t much instruction on how to do the moves or at least monitoring to see if the moves were done correctly. I have video of my daughter falling from the high beam and trying to get back up 4 times before the coach even noticed. There is also 10 girls per coach, which is a lot when the girls are young and need more attention. The front desk told me that I am a protective mother and it probably wasn’t the best fit, and she was right. Lots of people are happy there, so my suggestion is to do the trial class and pay very close attention to the kids and coaches and see if it’s the right fit for your family.

Nosotros como familia estamos muy contentos con nuestra experiencia en Leyva. Tenemos algo más de 2 años en el gimnasio. Hemos visto como nuestra hija progresa, cómo ha aumentado su confianza y nivel de disciplina. Siempre va clases. Ha tenido varios entrenadores y cada uno de ell@s, la ha ayudado a desarrollar sus habilidades. Ella tiene sentido de pertenencia hacia su gimnasio, amigas/team, cosa que nos agrada muchísimo. Aún en pandemia, mantuvieron las actividades para l@s niñ@s. Cuando a nosotros nos ha tocado preguntar y/o conversar siempre hemos recibido respuesta y tiempo. A veces puede que estén un poco full pero siempre han sido atentos y respetuosos con nosotros y muy especialmente con nuestra hija. Así que hasta el momento y desde hace un buen rato, nuestro balance es super positivo sin duda alguna (coach, gimnasio y ambiente).!!

Mi hija tiene más de un año entrenando en Leyva!! Hoy le pregunté y si tendríamos q cambiar de gimnasio ? Me dijo mamá estás loca noooo Amo mi gimnasio somos un muy buen equipo amo mi Coach Maria!!! My daughter started last year, and within one year she has progressed so much. When she started her goal was to do a cart wheel! Not only did she accomplish her goal, she crushed it. She was invited to teams, and she is thriving. Her coach is coach Maria. She's amazing. Often stays longer than her scheduled time, until your child understands whatever she's explaing. She literally puts in her heart and soul. You can't ask for anything more, not only do they teach gymnastics. They teach fitness, disciple, they teach our kids to be determined, focus. I highly recommend them for anyone and everyone. My friends see my daughters improvement both physically and mentally and four of my friends have joined and they thank me everyday.

My daughter absolutely loves her coaches at LGA. She started on competition team last year and has grown so much. The equipment is in great shape, the kids and staff are extremely supportive. Unprofessional academy and deplorable customer service.
For recreational gymnastics training they have teenage inexpert staff with classes that make your child demotivated with the sport.
Also, this academy is not customer centered. They charge their fee 2-3 weeks in advance, they do not allow any make up classes but close for “coach planning days” and host their social events during your programmed class which shows their disregard for their families.
Jeanne Barrera, who is your point of contact and founder, is not a costumer oriented manager. Our queries were ignored, and there’s nobody to escalate any issues good or bad.
We expected LGA to be a professional and friendly environment but is not, so don’t waste your time, money and child’s effort here.

Where do I begin? Besides the fact that they have classes of “10” with just one instructor. The instructors are teenage girls whom have no background in gymnastics! They claim they make them do “programs”. As expected these young “instructors” talk with eachother during class time waisitng soooo much time lingering around the gym. That and between them taking attendance is a good 20 minutes out of the class ! These girls have NO experience or professionalism to teach these kids ! They do not try to help your kid to get the back flip or whatever it is they are trying to do get it right ! A month into the class my child did ONE attempt of back flip without the “instructor” next to her to help guide her SINCE SHE IS A BEGINNER! Listen long story short this place is a DAYCARE. Iam not one to leave bad reviews but the anger and disrespect I felt watching my child at these classes was BIG. It is the cheapest gym around the area and let me tell you IT SHOWS ! THe gym is in poor conditions exposed concrete floors and hold mats! Wow wow wow what a bad experience!! I hope some other moms stand up and the owner makes some very quick decisions because it is truly a shame ! This gym is more for girls who are intermediate or expert levels to be able to practice. But definitely not for beginners who need coaching And guidance to learn !!

After training gymnastics for 7 years my daughter took 7 months off. We looked for other sports but she wanted gymnastics . We looked for a new gym that was closer to home and had more flexible training time than her last gyms. We found Leyva and the transition has been very smooth. The coaches are so welcoming and she comes home telling me she found her “happy place”.
