Retired USAF here, my wife is stationed at Eglin. Tried this gym (fire destroyed main gym?). Minding my business, waiting on the curl machine. I moved a cell phone ( was there for atleast 10 minutes) and a very angry, muscular young (Armenian?) hard to tell. He made a massive deal of it....tried to have a SrA address me and asked me to "mind myself better." First and last time going there. Had to get a separate access card for it too. Oh well.

They are never their to renew my access. Have tried for 2 weeks now between 11am to 1 pm and they are never there. At least update your hours if you decide being open 5 hours is to long to work since your current hours say 8am to 1 pm

I visited this gym with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal. The CAC system often malfunctioned, which caused some inconvenience, it was also very confusing on how to obtain a 24 hour pass. Additionally, the early closing times limited my workout opportunities, and I found the staff's presence to be inconsistent with the posted hours. It seems there's a need for improved standardization to enhance the gym experience. I hate writing poor reviews, but we're on a military instalation. Standards need to be upheld.

They now operate 6am to 2pm. A gym that is for a 24 hour squadron. Ridiculous.

Locker rooms and bathrooms were clean. The whole facility was clean. All the machines and weights were all in good working order. The staff were excellent and friendly. If you go to the gym at Eglin Air Force Base, go to this one. Don't go to the main one.

The 24/7 its clutch and they have machines and racks. Good A/C. I would preferred more kettlebells but thanks for all!

Pretty good facility. Cable crossover machine has certainly seen better days. I normally tricep rope pull 70lbs, and this one was saying I was rope pulling 90lbs with relatively moderate effort. I dunno about that.
Their squat rack area is awesome. Plenty of olympic bumper plates! Good gym for those interested in cardio. Two flat bench presses and a couple adjustable benches that you can bring over for incline or decline BP.
Overall, a great hidden gem on the 33 FW side of base!
