Really am enjoying this studio as a beginning rower. I lost 50 lbs. doing consistent classes. I live on another state so I am always virtual. It is so convenient to be able to join my familiar group when they live in other cities and across the world as far as Peru. The teachers are engaging and I’m very happy here. Five stars!

We’ve had one on one coaching with Justin from Live2Row, as well as taken a summer course. My kids have learned a lot of great information, and have improved from the insights & training they’ve received. Justin is knowledgeable, professional! All touch points from finding information on website, booking sessions & getting questions answered has been seamless, really well run program!

We met Justin at a Sarasota event and were comfortable with him right away - he wasn't trying to sell us a product, he was just answering our questions and speaking emperically about the process they have at Live2Row - you can tell when someone has a high degree of conviction in what they're doing, that's what sells. For my daughter, she is with a smaller club where there isn't enough coaching bandwidth for a lot of individual strength or ERG advice - she's a hard worker and committed to getting her 2k time down - we needed help finding the "low hanging fruit" and guidance for how to maximize this window she has between now and when she applies to schools. Justin has been amazing, she's getting stronger and faster and feels confident in her game plan. 1000% value for money - can't recommend enough.

I just started rowing and I already feel like I found my thing. Working out was something that I never really liked, but this does not even feel like a work out. There's a variety of classes, they are very welcoming and the studio has a great vibe! Having a broken spine, I can say that rowing IS for everyone.

Trainers are knowledgeable, give clear instructions, and have great patience. Live feedback is provided on form and output that's measured in real time. As good as remote training gets! L2R is rowing obsessed; they think big picture, supporting the greater rowing community, welcoming anyone who might be curious enough to pick up a handle or an oar.

I don't push myself very hard on my own and even in a group in-person session I take it more easily than I should. But having my monitor synced up with Live2Row and knowing how many watts I should be pulling really makes me work! So helpful!

I've been doing a virtual rowing camp with Live2row and it's awesome! I've never had any coaching on an erg and after just a couple sessions I'm already improving. They have a great system set up to be able to coach people anywhere in the world! That coaches are knowledgeable and motivating. I love it.

I used to think that Live2Row was just for serious rowers… and it certainly is… but it’s also for the non-water rower that just wants great full body and cardio exercise all in one. That’s me.
I was invited to Live2Row by a friend and truthfully I only went to be polite… and then it happened - I loved it! I was always bored on our erg at home but going into the studio to erg with my new erg friends gets me there and the truly expert coaching to improve and get the most out of my strokes keeps me coming back! I look forward to my studio time and I always leave with a smile! Thank you L2R!

I can't say enough good things about Live2Row Studios!! Their virtual and in-person coaching is the best coaching I have ever received. You'll start off with a one on one session to go over technique and basic erging skills...and then they will continue personalized coaching in classes. Coaching that helps you make actual gains!! They even helped me start an on the water rowing program from the ground up. Their knowledge base and experience absolutely speaks for itself...everything from how to make strength/distance improvements on the erg to learning how to use force not speed to make a boat go faster. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've been taking Live2Row virtual rowing classes for about three years now. It's motivating to row with a live class and get feedback from the instructor. They offer four kinds of classes: recovery, strength and core, weight loss, and cardio, each with dozens of variations. Their zone system helps you recognize the progress I'm making and ensures that the workouts are more strenuous than they would be if I were doing them on my own.

Competitive rowers will find that the coaching staff will improve their form and therefore their time. As a recreational rower, I love it when the class includes some of the elite athletes Live2Row trains.

If you're bored with follow-along recorded classes, or scenic rows to nowhere, try Live2Row's live classes. You can row with them from anywhere in the world!

Holy moly what a competitive advantage LIve2Row has provided me! Not only am I fitter as a result of all the camps and classes but I am also stronger and more technically proficient on the water. The coaching I received in live classes is some of the best coaching I've ever gotten. These classes are tailor made for on-the-water rowers and they WILL make you better! The way the classes are coxed/coached is so unique and the language and metrics used resonates so strongly with me and has helped me improve both as a rower and as a coxswain. I cannot say enough about how amazing these classes are. I just came away from Masters Nationals with 4 medals so the proof is in the pudding!

I attended the Endurance Training Camp at Live2Row Studios and can only say great things about the level of instruction and professionalism during the camp. They even recognized the impact on the Concept2 machine due to my high elevation in Denver, Colorado. The camp instructors, Justin, Stephen and Matt, really care about seeing their students improve. They provided very helpful tips and instruction to every level of rower, whether they were new or experienced. It was a tailored approach, but even as a beginner, it was great to hear the tips offered to all levels of people in the class. The team at Live2Row truly are coaches in every definition of the word and I will be taking additional virtual classes, camps, and coaching from them, and you should too.

I started rowing with Live2Row in March of 2022 after winning a silver medal in the 500 for HW women 50-54 at the World Rowing Indoor Championships. In one year they’ve helped me drop 13 seconds off my 2k and 3 seconds off my 500. I train virtually 3x a week through zoom and ErgZone. Justin and Stephen have created an incredible online community. I’ve made great friends around the country and we all chat daily and encourage and cheer each other on. It’s a lot of fun. If you want to learn to row, already love to row, and/or you want to see major improvement in your rowing, check these guys out. They know what they’re doing.

I have been rowing with Live2Row for almost 3 years now. When I started I had no rowing experience and had a previous back injury which caused me to not work out for more than 3 months at a time before having to take a break. The coaches taught me the proper form and were always checking to make sure that I was not in pain from my workout. The strength that I have gained in my core has allowed me to workout 3 days a week consistently since I started rowing. I would highly recommend Live2Row no matter your skill or fitness level.

Justin, Stephen and the Live2Row team are the absolute best! I live in Winnsboro, Louisiana, a small town in the rural south, and was looking for an alternative to marathon running. I started rowing with Live2Row through their online classes during the pandemic, and it has been one of the best decisions for both my physical and mental health I have ever made! I’ve gotten world class coaching and been able to connect with an amazing community of other rowers from all over the world. I can almost always find a live class to fit into my schedule, and, in the unusual event a live class isn't available, I'm always happy to be able to take advantage of pre-recorded classes. At 61, I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to Live2Row. I'm looking forward to many more years of great workouts from the comfort of my own home. I can't recommend Live2Row enough!

Live2row offers opportunity to excel at your pace and level of need, whether its get more fit, losing weight, recovering from injury or pursuing big fitness goals rowing on the erg or water. Justin, Stephen, Matt & Kristin teach and train from novice level to world champions alike!

I've been working out at live2row since 2017 and the only thing I regret are the days I don't show up.

A review won't do justice to my experience with Live2Row, but I'll give it a shot. I started seriously pursuing indoor rowing in early 2022. I sought out L2R because I knew they coached other successful indoor rowers... And I wanted that success, too! I very quickly found that Justin and Stephen are the best at what they do. Simple as that. They combine time-tested, data-driven performance analysis and programming with expert live coaching to create a truly unmatched training/coaching experience for their clients. And they do it virtually. (I am in Northern Virginia, they are in Florida). In less than one year, they coached me to a very competitive 2K score, as well as prepared me to try out for an on water team (where I subsequently went on to compete [and win] at the Head of the Charles regatta in my novice year, very much thanks to their coaching). They coach indoor rowing for serious on water rowers (because they know and have coached on water rowing) as well as serious indoor rowers.... And everyone else! They are able to meet every single client at their level and provide programming, live coaching, camps, classes, and 1-on-1 sessions to help each person meet individual goals, no matter what level those goals might be. I cannot recommend L2R enough...whether you are high school, masters, elite, or brand new to indoor rowing, L2R will absolutely change the game for you!

My son was a U15 competitive rower last year and we opted to do Live2Row’s virtual high performance camp during the heat of summer. I row with Lake County Rowing Association's adult competitive team and I wanted to work on technique to get ready for race season. I signed up with L2R for classes and a coaching program at the end of Dec 2021. After a few weeks of attending classes and working the coaching program, I signed up for a 1-on-1 with Justin and Matt. The feedback they provided on form has been invaluable and I have been able to transfer the erg skills to sweep and sculling on the water. The best part - I can do everything at home virtually or when I want to be around people, I can go to the studio. L2R uses the ErgZone app and Zoom so you get numerical feedback and live feedback from the coaches during class regardless of whether you are taking the virtual or in-studio class. I highly recommend the company if you are looking to improve fitness on or off the water!

Although I live 900 miles away in Inwood West Virginia, I enjoy a wonderful relationship with Stephen and Justin through Zoom. These are two highly qualified coaches and have been able to take a 60 year old average rower on to the next level. They are friendly, professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. Their experience translates well and although again I have never met them in person (yet - I am planning a trip to head south soon) they are very responsive and the distance poses no challenges. The only challenge is for me to get my butt on the rower every day and follow their individually designed training plan based on my level. I’ve been taking Live2Row’s virtual Zoom classes for a month now, and I’m hooked. Even though there’s a bit of a time-zone difference (I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, California), Live2Row offers classes at 6 AM and 3:45 PM Pacific.

At first, I was nervous about getting up early for a 6 AM class, but Live2Row is worth it. I've been doing Live2Row's Zoom classes for about 6 months and can't say enough about how good they are. The instructors are excellent--they give clear feedback on your form and have a passion for the sport. The community is friendly, even over a computer screen. I have no prior rowing experience (aside from jumping on the erg at the gym for a 10-minute warmup now and then) and while the classes are hard, they're also individualized, so you can get started no matter where you're at in terms of fitness. As you get better, they adjust your recommended outputs so that you're always challenging yourself. You'll find no gimmicks here--no shiny graphics or top 40 playlists. You *will* find experienced, knowledgeable coaches who will give you the tools to push yourself as far as you want to go, whether you want to set age records (as some of my classmates have done) or you're more like me and are just looking for a solid full-body workout a few times a week to undo some of the damage that desk job life is causing. I highly, highly recommend this place!

The classes are varied, and designed to benefit both expert rowers who race, or who log several million meters in a year, and others such as me who want an efficient form of good exercise year-round and preferably not completely solitary. Having rowed on water and acquired a Concept2 machine in my 60s, I returned to rowing last year, at 78, when our gym closed and my yoga classes were canceled.
The remote classes with the coaches at Learn2Row turn out to be an efficient, productive and satisfying form of exercise. The coaches--Justin, Stephen and sometimes Matt--are not only expert rowers but good teachers. They are attentive to individual in-studio and remote rowers, energetic and upbeat even if teaching the third consecutive class, and exacting but judicious in offering corrections.
Their focus is on good technique, which they remind us will result in faster and easier rowing! I am gradually growing more skilled and slightly stronger, and I can enjoy well-taught and well-planned classes at home any day of the week. So glad my daughter-n-law recommended that I check out Live2Row!

Live2Row offers several terrific rowing options. I’m currently a virtual student enjoying their customized training plan. In three short months being on a training plan with Justin I have experienced:
~Improved rowing techniques
~Having a plan for a more successful row
~Increased endurance
~Increased knee ROM and strength
~Three PRs 100m, 1K and 5K
~Trimmed down 9lbs
~I now enjoy rowing rather than endure it
~I’m sure there are more improvements I’ve forgotten or am not even aware of

I am very appreciative of having a training plan designed specifically for me. A plan that pushes me but does not defeat me. Justin provides the perfect combination of support and challenge. I cannot say enough great things about the Live2Row Studios coaches and community.

This is a very fresh, technical approach to rowing that I find perfect for developing my stroke, yet keeping my cardio fit. They use watts instead of 500 meter split times and keep the rate low to ensure excellent technique on EVERY stroke. Its a genius way to teach rowing, rather than repeating mistakes consistently for an entire piece. It takes some getting used to, but its very high quality thoughtful approach. I recommend it.

Strongly recommend! These online classes have been amazing and exactly what I was looking for. I live in Troy, Michigan and bought a Concept 2 Rower last year after hearing Hugh Jackman sing its praises, but was unable to get a consistent workout with it off the ground. I signed up for virtual classes starting in January and Justin and Stephen have taught (and continue to teach) me proper technique that has helped me continue to improve my rowing skills and power. After a few months I'm already close to my goal of a 7 minute 2,000m, and I have no doubt I can reach this year. I love the supportive and instructive nature of the classes and the video of the room and others at home makes me feel like I'm part of a class and I will likely be a studio member for life.

I am new to rowing and I have goals of competing in multiple, indoor events every year. Even though I have only been participating in the individual program for just over 2 weeks, Live2Row has taken 17 seconds off of my 2K PR! The instruction is fantastic and specific to you. I am also very big on data. Live2Row creates personalized programs that are sensitive to your progress from week to week, making it very individualized to ensure you continue to progress.

I just completed a two week trial of Live2Row virtual classes and I am hooked! My initial orientation/coaching session was with Stephen and most of my classes were with Justin (one class with Matt). All of the instructors were great! I am 60 years old and have been a fitness “junkie” most of my adult life. The instructors at Live2Row are some of the best that I have encountered and I feel amazing after the workouts. I am relatively new to rowing and during my first couple of classes, I did not fell like I was getting a good workout,. This did not last for long. By the third or fourth class, I was getting a great workout and I was hooked! Even though I live in Greenville, SC and their studios are in Florida, I felt like the Live2Row Instructors were right next to me. Highly recommend!

I started rowing at a local CrossFit gym near Pittsburgh, PA and fell in love with it! When the gym closed down due to Covid, I purchased my own rower. I bounced around at several virtual rowing services and landed at Live2Row and never looked back. The coaches have challenging and motivating daily workouts and there are a variety of classes to pick from during each day. What I like best about Live2Row coaching is they focus on form and they make suggestions in every class to you personally. It is just like I am back at the gym.

I purchased an indoor rowing over a year ago with the intent to incorporate into my workout routine. I tried a number of forums to implement rowing but without the coaching or training I felt i was underutilizing my concept2....until I found the Live2Row studios. The live virtual training is phenomenal. The coaches take the time (even as they are rowing) during the workout sessions to advise on proper technique and most importantly keep you motivatated - pushing you through the workouts. There are a number of classes providing flexibility for all schedules and the virtual set- up is perfect giving the 'in-studio' feel / visual as well as the class interactions. Highly recommend checking it out!

I live in Brooklyn New York. I have had memberships and worked out at both CityRow and RowHouse for extended periods of time. I find that rowing with Live2Row is much more structured and personalized to what I’m capable of doing in my workout. The coaches are amazingly professional, helpful, and give you that drive to push forward. I didn’t think I would like streaming classes or doing anything virtually, but I seriously look forward to attending and participating because it never drags. I’m so happy I found Live2Row and I hope to be rowing with them for as long as I can.

I highly recommend Live2Row, particularly for their virtual rowing classes. I am 62 years young, live in Alaska, and wanted to step up my energy output (aka exercise). I also was looking for a live class that was delivered virtually so I could attend from home...hoping a class would keep me going especially when I didn’t feel like pushing myself. While searching the Internet I came across Live2Row!!! I saw they offered a free consultation with a free 2 week trial period. I thought that sounded great and heck, what was there to lose?In the consultation with Justin I learned the basic parts and flow of the stroke. The virtual classes are well delivered. The coaches make sure to call your name and provide positive as well as constructive feedback.
I enjoy the guided workout, the challenge of completing the workout, and especially the live feedback during classes. This live feedback is hard to find in your own home or online and at such a reasonable cost!

Can easily echo the majority of reviews here. If you have an ERG and have tried the various apps with virtual classes or youtube then this studio is for you. Sure, the apps can give you a great workout "if" you know how to row. The coaching and personalized attention you get at Live2Row cannot be duplicated by anything I've seen on the market so far. I've been to an in person studio class and the virtual experience is identical. Great coaching, tons of class options, welcoming on-line community, excellent investment in your health and well being.

It's an amazing full body workout, and I like that tracking my stats on the monitor enables me to work on continuous improvement. The studio is clean and there is plenty of room for everyone. I have been a satisfied customer of Live2Row for three years. With my hectic lifestyle, I am pleased that the studio has so many daily classes to choose from. The coaches Stephen and Justin are accredited coaches of different levels of rowing, from high school, to college, and established adult teams. The classes are meticulously planned for various levels of intensity. By the end of an hour, you would feel satisfied with those calories burned or muscles toned, whatever your goal is.
The past few months have brought chaos for everyone. The studio has adopted to individual need to continue exercising by introducing virtual classes, where one can join online at home to the studio classes and receiving live feedback from the coaches. It allows even more flexibility as far as time is concerned and it is also attracting many out of State rowers. What an experience to be sharing a class and make friends with someone from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Colorado, and a distant part of Florida, just to name a few examples.

During COVID-19 in Vermont, the gyms were shut down. After during some research, I decided to purchase a concept rower and find remote/virtual fitness classes. Specify, rowing fitness classes that could be done at home on the rower.
After reviewing, the options ranging from On-Demand to Youtube etc…I found the best and only real option – Live2Row Studios. Live2Row Studio offers both Virtual, Live, and On-Demand Classes. Live /Virtual classes are offers daily ranging from 6:00Am to nightly/weekend classes. In addition, this studio provides a free trial and personal coaching to begin rowing.
Over the last few months, I have attended classes at least 3 times per week. The coaches provide real-time feedback and encouragement in class, the class is well design, and it is a great work-out. In addition, the classes are just like being in the studio with the other class members. Indeed, I found the best and the only options for real-time virtual /live rowing fitness class in the United States. Along with that, I am losing weight and getting in the best shape of my life. I would encourage anyone looking to get fit – get a rower and join Live2Row Studios

Thought I would share a shout out for Live2Row Studios... TL;DR Version... they are awesome. It's fun. it's a killer full body workout for people at all fitness levels and rowing experience... you can do it in person, or remote... and all at a great price point.

Full version: I joined from 1,600 miles away, early in COVID when they pivoted to offering Virtual. Since then, even after reopening physically, they have really dialed in the coaching and tech to make it easy and effective, even for those of us hundreds or thousands of miles away. (Also helps that their rates are extremely cost-effective)

They are owned by experienced rowing coaches who actively coach on the water as well. What I really like about their workouts is the fact that I’m getting really solid technical feedback since the coach can see me and provide correction real time all while doing really solid workouts that are based on optimal power at specific stroke rates. (And there are different workouts throughout the day/week... weight loss, cardio, basics, recovery, strength and core)

WIth a couple years of rowing under my belt and having researched a lot of options, I can say that this approach and this coaching are really 2nd to none, whether in person, or virtual like me!

OH... They have a free 1:1 technique session, which is absolutely worth your time all by itself. It's what made me see the value in this even as someone who thought I really knew what I was doing at the time :-).

I’ve had an awesome experience learning to row and getting a great workout through Live2Row—and this is live virtually through my home in California! The owners Justin and Stephen have been great to work with. They’re professional and have the rowing background creds for me to know that I’m doing the workout properly without getting injured and to be able to improve over time. It’s been easy to setup for the virtual session: I setup my laptop so that they can see me on my erg (the rowing machine) sideways, and I mirror/cast my laptop screen onto my iPad that I have mounted in front of me as I’m rowing. I have my headphones on, and it’s all worked out well without a glitch! Justin and Stephen can see me during the workout and offer me corrections and encouragement. I’ve been loving it! It’s easy to book classes, and the price point for monthly virtual sessions doesn’t hurt either :)

I bought a rower at the beginning of quarantine in March and have been looking for a site that would motivate me to use it regularly. I tried Hydrow, Row House, City Row, PushDon'tPull, various YouTube subscriptions, but the on-demand workshouts with pretty scenery and even music didn't motivate me to really exert myself.

Finally, I discovered Live2Row. I tried it out for two weeks and became a virtual member. I've been taking three classes a week for the past month or so.

Here's what I like about Live2Row virtual classes.
1) You have to make a appointment. I make my workout schedule on Sunday, and then don't have to spend any more energy on deciding whether or not to exercise.
2) They offer classes that fit with my 10-hr a day workweek!! I hope that they will someday be able to offer more weekend classes, but their Monday - Friday schedule can accommodate most timezones in the US.
3) I enjoy seeing people from other parts of the country, and in the live studio working out.
4) The two instructors I've worked with, Justin and Stephen, design interesting classes that are both intense and varied.
5) Their cuing is very clear.
6) They pay attention to the form of both the people rowing in the studio and the people working out via Zoom. No slacking off!
7) They've designed a zone card system that helps me understand how improvements in my form and strength yield improved results. That is, the better my form and the stronger my stroke, the more virtual distance I can cover.

For those who are motivated by an element of competition and have a Concept 2 rower at home, it's also possible to keep track of the number of miles rowed.

I get the sense that Justin and Stephen really care about their members and want them to improve their fitness. Their communication has been great, and their financial arrangements are straightforward.

If you're looking for a way to get yourself onto that new rower you bought for COVID-19 workouts, I recommend Live2Row highly.

We did their Learn to Row / BAck to Basics class and Megan was very accommodating to both of our skill levels. The class offered a good assortment of tutorial as well as intensity so that it was both informative and fulfilling. The studio is clean and offers an assortment of other ammenities (cubbies, foam rollers, water cooler, etc) to help enjoy the experience better. They offer a very generous "First 2 Weeks Free" program so that you can get used to the sport before committing to any workout plans. Last year, a friend of mine was posting on facebook about how much she enjoyed rowing (yes, I did say enjoy). She had no prior rowing experience and I thought to myself why not try a class. It was a free class, too. I had no rowing experience - zero. I had not exercised in years and I thought that I would not be able to learn how to row; I am not coordinated.
My first class was on Labor Day 2015. Little did I know that first step would be the beginning of a year of changes. I have lost weight, gained muscle, increased energy, and better posture. Losing 4 sizes and gaining new self-confidence is priceless. Before I began rowing, I would come home from work and want to sleep. Now, after a 30 minute class, I go home energized.
If you had told me a year ago I would be 50 lbs. lighter, I would row 1,000,000 meters in 9 months, and be a part of a team at Live2Row that set a 24 hr rowing record, I would have laughed and said you were nuts. But, that is exactly what happened. No magic pills, no pre-packaged foods, no injections; just hard work. By rowing 3 days a week, my body, both physically and mentally, has changed and I owe it all to rowing.
Live2Row Studios is a wonderful place to exercise. Justin and Stephen KNOW how to row. They make sure you learn how to row properly. I have not had one injury during this year. Rowing is the best overall exercise that you can do for your body. You will work hard, you will sweat, and you will challenge your body to push harder in each class.
If you are thinking of rowing, take the free class. You will not be disappointed.

Justin and Steven create a great atmosphere while teaching the ins and outs of rowing. They are former rowers and current high school coaches so I atleast know I'm getting trained by professionals that know what they are doing. They have multiple styles of classes so it never gets boring, and they are always there to motivate you to hit your goals. No complaints here.

I'm currently looking for a new place to workout that fits into my busy schedule and after searching on google I found live 2 row and 9round in the same plaza and both have early morning classes. When I pulled into the parking lot I parked in a spot for live2row as I exited my car, a man whom I will assume to be the owner by his choice of words, said "you want to get out of my parking spot it's reserved for my customers." I was totally taken aback and couldn't even find the words to explain that I was a potential customer, I just apologized and moved my car. As a business owner myself, I would never aggressively approach a stranger in that manner. A better approach would have been "Hey, are you here for a class at live2row?" This was a HORRIFIC experience!
