My experience~ with my just turn 3 year old granddaughter excited for her Mimi to watch her ballet was a heart breaking event! She was put in time out not "sitting crisscross apple sauce" I had to watch her reach out to classmates to hold her theirs hands so she would be included in the big circle. Instructor called this "touching other children" disrupting the class" Really! She was excluded for the most valuable fun lesson she was still time out and for the only real ballet lesson arms up and turning across the floor like a ballet dancer. She learned what to do from the show the WIggles and not here! Time out rule 1 minute per age was unknown here. Glorified stretch excise class for this age group and way to many kids to teach at a time in 55 minutes. Not enough heart for littles and proper direction. I would check around first before choosing this dance class at this age. Oh, you have to sign a contract and submit a signed form if you leave paying the next months fee within 15 days (so 160.00 for 3 classes) She was there 14 days before this event (instructor said its in the contract again only 14 days) everything must be about the $'s. They can have it they must need more. Never will be back for that treatment. Let me not forget to mention in the end they let your child pick a lollypop as they go around in a circle and skipped my little, upon questioning instructor she stated she had to go in time out so no lollypop! That little baby girl who just wanted to dance and maybe make a new friend left with her chin up trying to hold back the tears! Shame on you! Some continuing ed on how to properly treat and encourage little ones would led to a favorable, memorable event for all. I will make sure to share this experience in hopes of faculties stand operating procedures improve with proper behavioral best practices for children under 5! Also maybe an app so watchers are not having to stand outside with their phones for pictures in 100 degree weather to watch. Every little girl is a Princess!!!! I'd ballet right on skipping this one.

Don’t send your children here. The owner is inexperienced and unprofessional and is more interested in her personal life and political views than her business or your child. Spare your child and take them elsewhere. Wouldn’t take my children here if it was free.

I wanted to give more stars, but unfortunately, this dance studio is very unorganized and the teacher is just not a person who knows how to handle little kids. I believe it’s just one person doing everything and after the one recital with them, we decided it was not the right fit. My daughter has been to dance schools that are like a community and that was not the feel for this place.Just very chaotic and unorganized and not sure if the teacher that they have has children or has experience with them, but not a people person. I would recommend if you want to enroll your little one to look around because there are dance studios that are run smoothly and professionally, and just overall a better atmosphere for the children.you kid wants a teacher to make class fun or atleast something to look forward to.miss Christina doesn’t create that type of environment. The recital itself was poorly managed, and it was obvious, unfortunately through the way, the girls looked on stage and the performances. You can tell they weren’t as excited as I’ve seen in other dance studios before. don’t be blinded by the five star reviews most likely it’s close family leaving those reviews because I thought the same thing seeing the five stars.

I wanted to like this studio as it’s a convenient location for us and has been around a long time, but we were incredibly disappointed with it. Sadly, I don’t believe the younger owner has the patience for teaching small children. Maybe with the older crowd she does well, but within four classes I witnessed her frustrated and obviously annoyed several times with 4 and 5 year olds. I don’t want my child scared of going to dance (which is supposed to be for fun) for fear of getting yelled at for not nailing dance moves right away. We have since found another studio my daughter loves, where you can tell the owner loves teaching children, and one that is not all about money. Mary-Ann’s is also the most expensive in the area, and if you try to leave they will charge you for the rest of the unfinished month as well as an entirely new month. Beware.

Mary Ann school of dance has been more like a family than a dance studio. They work with you in all situations. Their priority is truly for the children to have a once in a lifetime opportunity. Friendly, supportive, and loving staff would recommend to anyone.

I love taking classes as MSD. Miss Christina & Little Mrs. Mary-Ann are both wonderful, and are both so experienced. The staff and students are all very welcoming and supportive when new students join the studio. They are fantastic at building confidence and skill in every dancer, regardless of experience, age (I'm a middle aged adult), physical restrictions, or body type. The studio is clean, well equipped, and welcoming. Their love for dance and passion for sharing that love with their students is apparent in everything they do. My nephews and niece also take class here, and the kids love their classes and their instructors. I'd highly recommend Mary-Ann's School of Dance to any new or experienced dancer looking for a place to develop their skill. Thanks to Miss Christina and Little Miss Mary-Ann for sharing your family's legacy of dance with my family. You enrich our lives on a regular basis.

My dghtr started dancing here a year ago. We moved from anouther state after my husband retired from the army. She had trouble fitting in at other studios but when she tried mary-anns she felt right at home. Christina and her mom made her feel confident in herself and her tech and dance skills excelled. Christina is professional she is great at choreo, teaching all ages, and supports community events. At this studio its about every dancer in every class growing, learning and having fun!!

Maryann’s school of Dance has been an amazing place to send my daughter. She has had the privilege of having Miss Christina(the owner) as her dance teacher for all of her dance classes so far. She begs to come early and stay later just to learn everything she can. This studio has been a family owned and operated studio for over 40 years with Miss Christina being the granddaughter of the original owner. You can feel the passion they have for dance and teaching when you speak to them. I can see us being apart if Maryann’s for years to come!!

Maryann’s school of dance is one of the best studios I’ve ever had the experience with! My daughter's are going on their 11th year of dancing here and I could not imagine going anywhere else! Miss Christina and little miss Maryann are great teachers and make everyone feel like they are part of the MSD family. The choreography is exceptional and I look forward to seeing the progress everyone has made at their amazing recitals! I strongly recommend this dance studio and we are so proud to be part of this amazing studio!

This is my daughter’s first year dancing and I have had the best experience with MSD! The staff is so helpful and let Kenzie warm up to them. As a first time dance mom I am happy we are with them.

Great school! I love that is not so competitive for the littles! I enjoyed watching my daughter dance and smile! They get to be creative and learn to love dance. They are not forced to be the best, they are required to give their best! I love that!!!

We are so happy and feel so blessed to have found Mary Ann’s. We tried another dance school first and it was very “cliquey”. When we started at Mary Ann’s a year ago we instantly felt welcomed. It’s like one big happy family. My daughter used to drag her feet on dance day… now she can hardly wait until her next dance class. So happy we’re part of the Mary Ann’s family and we are going to be for a long time. 💗

What an amazing place!!! We came across Maryann’s School of Dance a little less than a year ago and couldn’t be happier. My daughter takes Acro, Jazz, and Tap and loves going to her classes.

The staff and teachers are friendly and fun, yet also instill the importance of teamwork, pride and a good work ethic when pursuing your passion for dance. We love the sense of community and family, and always look forward to recital time.

They are developing wonderful friendships and learning valuable life lessons that will serve them well in the future.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a Dance Home!

My 3 year old LOVES this dance class!! The teacher is really good with the kids, and pretty patient. Sometimes maybe a little too patient. Lol

I saw the review regarding the teacher handling the little girl unprofessionally. I’m almost certain that I know which girl it’s regarding. I remember a little girl starting about the time that review was written. I was taken aback at how the girl did not listen nearly the entire class. What really shocked me was that the mother barely intervened. She just continued to let her continuously disrupt the class. There are kids that get distracted, that don’t listen immediately, so the teacher does her best to get them to listen. Most of the kids will listen or the parents will usually step in. This little girl clearly isn’t ready to take direction from a teacher, and there’s nothing wrong with that. The parents will just have to wait until she is ready.

Mary Ann handle my neice in the most unprofessional way. She is 3 in April and it was her very first class. My baby neice just wanted to dance and being in a new setting was all new to her. Instead of properly handing a child who is very excited and distracted or distracting.. she carried her out of the dance room and brought her to her parents and was told to come back in a year. My neice was apologizing and crying because she simply could not understand what she had done wrong. Mary Ann be lucky I was not there personally because it wouldn't have ended well. Many tears by many family members have been shed over this situation. Pathetic you are

My 3 year old was able to try a class for free. She was extremely shy and nervous. However, the teacher and her helper were extremely patient and encouraging. By the end of the class she opened up and was participating willingly. I can't wait for the 1st recital!
