I went to meant 2 move for my free examination and I couldn’t believe the knowledge Spencer has about the human body. He explained my posture problems and showed me how we are going to fix them. I’ve had lower back pain for years and I don’t feel a thing since beginning sessions here. I never thought about my posture because I’m only 26 but it has been getting worse every year. Glad we caught it early!!

I am a 74 year old male who has had some significant balance and strength issues due to a sedentary lifestyle after some foot surgeries.

Life changing! My body feels sooo much better… less pain, more flexibility, stronger, better posture, more endurance. What a difference it makes to enjoying life! I cannot say enough good things about Spencer & his staff. They have worked with me for several months to help resolve pain from a pinched nerve.

Spencer was an absolute godsend! I will admit, when my doctor recommended me to Spencer and I found out I wasn’t going to physical therapy, but a personal trainer. I was skeptical to say the least. However, I stuck with it, and I’m so glad I did. I was struggling with a previous shoulder injury that kept spiking back up. I had no clue that my own movements and working out incorrectly were causing the issue to manifest over and over again. Not only did he help get my shoulder to stop hurting, and clicking, he also helped to explain why, and how to prevent it in the future. He didn’t just get me better in the short term, he helped pave the way for long term mobility and wellness. I’m so thankful I was referred to Spencer, his knowledge of the human body and how it’s supposed to actually function and move is astounding!

Recently my adult daughter and I have had the extreme pleasure of training with Spencer for 10 sessions while on vacation in Naples. He is knowledgeable and thorough, especially during the assessment phase which is very important to understand how one's body is actually functioning and where any imbalances or weaknesses are. He doesn't just get you going on weights and exercises for the sake of exercise, he takes the time to evaluate and release any muscle tensions that may prohibit your body from benefitting from exercise. Not only does he start with releasing muscle tightness but also understands the importance of targeted muscle stretching. His workouts are specific to your unique needs. Spencer shares his knowledge about how and why your body works and how it most likely developed the imbalances that have occurred over time as well as the importance of clearing those imbalances!
Spencer follows through on what he is teaching by providing access to individualized exercises on line.
The gym is clean and comfortable with state of the art equipment and a padded floor.
You can tell that Spencer is passionate about his work and that he loves getting to know each person individually in order to take the appropriate approach for your health and fitness. He is a nutritionist as well and provides dietary counseling tailored to your needs, what works best for you!
Whenever I am in Naples I will reach out to Spencer. By the way, he will also stay in contact with me in Wisconsin if I have any questions!

Training with Nicki at Meant2Move is amazing! She has created the most customized personal training routine I have ever received after working with many trainers and many gyms over the course of my fitness journey. They have an InBody machine that was able to give me all sorts of interesting stats on my physical fitness which we are using as benchmarks to establish future goals. The facility is modern and very clean. The MINDBODY App makes it super easy to book appointments. The experience couldn’t be better!

I’m trying to play better golf and not very interested in “body building” at 72 years old. Working on flexibility and functional muscle training. I can feel positive difference in just two months and making progress on ball-striking consistency and endurance.
The sessions are not exhausting and generally feel pretty good afterwards. Spencer explains the goal of each exercise and emphasizes the proper mechanics to get the most out out each stretch, push and pull. I look forward to going three times per week, usually for an hour each time.

I'm a 29 year old leukemia survivor. After years of treatment, a lot of sitting at the computer, and a hip replacement, my body is in rough shape. I have recently started going to Meant2Move. After a consultation, Spencer and Nicki were able to pin point muscles and stimulate them with a Theragun. After my first treatment, my body has been loosened up a lot! I’ve been to 9 sessions with Spencer and I’m learning many stretching techniques, fatial restriction removal techniques and exercises to help my lower back pain and and to help my shoulder locks. I feel welcome relief; I’m learning much more effective abdominal, arm and leg exercises; and I’m hopeful and looking forward to being stronger with a more balanced fitness program. I had never heard of functional training before, and now I’m convinced of its effectiveness.

I love working out at Meant2Move! As a longtime runner, I've always struggled to find a resistance training program that I could stick to without getting bored. I began training at Meant2Move in November 2019 and Samantha has been my trainer since January. She is fantastic! She provides you with a wide variety of exercises for both your upper and lower body while also keeping your heart rate elevated. I've gained far more muscle and burned more fat than I ever could have on my own. She also offers great nutritional advice to keep you on track when you aren't in the studio. Resistance training is no longer boring to me and I look forward to my weekly workouts! I truly feel better than ever and have learned so much! The gym is spotless with a variety of equipment in excellent condition, mirrors throughout. Spencer and Chaz are top-notch trainers. I initially went to rehab a shoulder. Chaz got it working well again and without pain in a few weeks. Now I’m working on other fitness goals with him. He’s especially paying attention to my shoulder mechanics of course as I don't want to regress there. The trainers are well-prepared and on time for appointments, and they have a plethora of movements to draw upon when seeing what a client's needs and goals are. So glad I found this studio, highly recommended!!!

I have worked with the trainers at Meant2Move for almost two months now and have had phenomenal results! I initially started training to avoid injuries while playing tennis. Now, I’m starting to see and feel the results in my tennis game! I can now activate my abs, glutes and hamstrings to assist in my performance. I no longer have an achey back during a long match. I have never worked with a personal trainer but am fortunate that I am working with Spencer. He is totally knowledgeable about what causes inflammation and pain in our body and has given me the inspiration and desire to work hard toward easing and hopefully eliminating my back pain through stretching and other exercises. He is patient and works at a pace that I feel comfortable with as we move forward to getting me to the point of moving pain free. I really like that my appointments are one-on-one rather than a group exercise class. I recommend Meant2Move for anyone at any age.

I have worked with trainers over the years and while I felt some improvements, with Spencer at Meant2Move Fitness I have actually healed many injuries I accepted as pains with aging that just wouldn’t go away. Spencer not only explains the benefits of the exercises he has me doing, but he also explains how the muscle I’m working effects other things. It is refreshing to have a “wellness” trainer who understands the entire body and can help you heal aches and pains while getting into shape. Let me preface my review by saying that I NEVER workout with men. I don't have male doctors, massage therapists, etc. I just feel more comfortable with women. So, when I spoke with Spencer about coming in for a free consultation, I was hesitant. I can honestly say, though, that he has been completely professional. More than that, he is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain how our bodies were meant to move and why we experience pain in everyday life or when we try other fitness routines. But my ultimate reason for continuing with Meant 2 Move is that I feel so much better! I had no quality of life prior to going there. I had been completely inactive with major aches, pains, and autoimmune issues for three years! However, Spencer ends every session with stretching. Between the functional fitness and the stretching, I have been given a new lease on life. My husband actually encouraged me to add sessions to my routine because of the difference it has made for my family, now that I am active and well again! The sessions have been a small price to pay in comparison to the release of pain and newfound mobility I've experienced!

I like to think of myself aging gracefully but then I have to consider balance flexibility and stamina
I started with Spencer at Meant2Move approximately one month ago and I am already feeling the difference
I’ve visited my doctor this morning and she was amazed how I looked from my last visit in March

Highly recommend! Tamica and Spencer are fantastic, realistic and very experienced. My son and I started working out with them 4 weeks ago. We both feel and see the difference. Learning about proper form and movement has recently helped me complete an obstacle course and achieve a new personal record. I am not a person that enjoys working out and throughout the years, I would start and then stop., however, I felt I had to regain some strength. I met Tamika and decided it was time. I have now been working out with her for about 3 1/2 weeks and feel better already.....much stronger and healthier. It is enjoyable and the best fitness experience I have had. As I graduated college, I realized I needed a lifestyle change. I was unhappy, unhealthy, and was never satisfied with myself overall. This is when I started to familiarize myself with the fitness world and it honestly has changed my life forever. In the beginning, I started out on my own, trying to learn new things between the right and wrong things to eat and different kind of exercises to lose body fat the fastest. It wasn't until I met Spencer, that I was able to fully understand the mechanics of everything your body needs to be fit and healthy. I didn't need to change everything the fastest, I needed to change it as a whole for my life in general. Spencer was able to give me tips on diet, nutrition, proper form for working out, how to go from fat to thin to now muscular, with the mindset to always better myself. He motivated me and gave me a helping hand when needed. Yes, sometimes I hated him and yelled at him at the top of my lungs for making me do another rep, but in the long run, he has changed my life for the better. Although he is not my personal trainer anymore, he is still a friend and cares about his clients and is still there for you, if you still need helpful tips after your training program has ended. Spencer has taught me a lot of helpful information in the one year I had personal training, that I cannot necessarily learn just from watching YouTube videos or reading articles online. He is definitely someone you want to get to know, so he can help you change your life as well.
