I take chair yoga with Mara at Pinecrest Community Center and I love her classes. She challenges us and utilizes different modalities of yoga so itβs never boring. She teaches at numerous different locations so check out her classes. You will be glad you did

I have been taking Chair Yoga with Mara Fowler since early March 2023.
I had Polio in my right leg as a baby .
In 2020 I broke my right femur and in December 2022 my right humerus .
I am a retired educator (77 years old) still very active with my grandkids and always young in spirit. I do have some physical challenges that I work with in this class to conquer them π I enrolled in this class to keep moving, stretching, reflecting and meditating. And, to effectively conquer my physical challenges. I want to become more flexible and to move accordingly. It all is beginning to happen. What a blessing!!!! Mara is the kind of instructor that lives and believes what she teaches. She is AMAZING! She has MS and that blew my mind!! No one could tell by observing the flexibility of her movements!! Her body is like her sanctuary. She became my hero on day one; In relating to het students she connects with an incredible ability to motivate and engage each of us. Since March I move a little better every day , every week. I feel the power of mind over body. I feel an immense gratitude to her and for her. She believes we can
do it, slowly, one day at a time, Her instructions, her sensitive heart , her lived knowledge of Yoga , her ability to communicate her wisdom through the healing and healthy movements of Yoga work marvels in my body and mind , I strongly recommend Mara Fowler and her Chair Yogs class!!
March 2025: I continue my Chair Yoga with Mara. I continue to love her classes and her passion. She excels. The quality of the sessions is excellent. She is a committed, knowledgeable and hardworking instructor who believes in the transformative power of yoga. I highly recommend Mara Fowler as a Yoga instructor. Mara is an extremely sweet and compassionate person, she creates an environment of peace and relaxation during her class. I started taking Chair Yoga with Mara around three months ago and I am always looking forward to the next class.
I used to underestimate Chair Yoga and its results until I decided to observe one of her classes. I immediately registered and now I understand its benefits and learned how much Chair Yoga is helping me on my daily life. For example, the other day I was alone at my house and I fell down; I was able to get up from the floor following the steps learned with Mara at Chair Yoga. Mara taught my group this morning yoga and it was wonderful. I personally hired her for a private group class for 1 hour. She does private classes or you can attend her classes at either the Pinecrest Library which is free or at the Kendall Breeze Clubhouse Association for $10. She's amazing y'all πππππππππ

Mara at MS Yogamovement studio has Changed my LIFE!!! My lower back was constantly in pain and I had sciatica pain that ran down my entire right leg to my foot. I was always intimidated to do yoga, my fear that I couldnβt, but Mara was patient, kind and her energy was contagious. I now no longer live in pain and found that yoga is so much more than βstretchingβ or βexerciseββ¦ itβs a way to live and find peace within yourself. Thank you #MSYogamovements !

Mara is such a great instructor! She does restorative and chair yoga for older adults. But even if you can do more, her class puts you THE ZONE of relaxation!
