Mt Dora has always been known as "quaint, beautiful and historic." And history stays relevant when discussing The Lakeside Inn, The Mt Dora Yacht club and the nationally respected Mt Dora Lawn Bowling Club
Meet new friends and help move history forward following the long tradition of the Mt Dora Lawn Bowling Club. You will not be disappointed. Dr James Young

I would like to clarify… a lot of the photos posted for this business are actually not of the Lawn Bowling Club at all. The Christmas lights are from the marina which is a five minute walk down the street from the Lawn Bowling Club. It should also be noted that the Christmas lights are not up year round, but only from the end of November to the beginning of February. The Mount Dora Lawn Bowling Club is the pad of cement located near Sunset Park.
Aside from the aforementioned, The Lawn Bowling Club has major historic significance for our city and is an excellent place to take up the sport of lawn bowling. It’s fun to watch from the sidewalk as well if you’re not participating.

I went to Mt Dora not the Lawn and Bowling Club. Mt Dora does not have a lot to do. There is shopping and a few restaurants. Other then that not much boat tours but it's not somewhere I would be running back to.

Established in 1928, the Mount Dora Lawn Bowls club is one of the oldest, friendliest and most important clubs for newcomers to Mount Dora. We have made lifelong friends at the club which has between 200 and 300 members.

Greatest open social club in the Mount Dora area. Lawn bowling accounts for perhaps two-thirds of club activities, but there are many spin-off activities—bunco, bridge, and even 10-pin outings. This club carries on a 90-year tradition that epitomizes our quaint little town. Organized bowling takes place morning and evening, 6 days a week. A joy-filled group of friends compete in non-aerobic fun. You have to give it a try by just walking through the gate and asking anyone to explain the game. Free introductory training is offered, so you don’t have to make a membership commitment until you know this is “your thing.”

Stopped by during an open house and what a gorgeous place this is. I was treated to pizza and given a quick lesson on Lawn Bowling. Seems like a good age range of members and perfect date night activity. Lotsa Fun. I'd like to take up the sport! In Mount Dora you'll find this place near the lake downtown.
