About the Club

MYOBLAST STRENGTH is a private, no nonsense, evidence based, strength training facility. There are two locations one in downtown St. Petersburg and the other in Seminole. A workout at MYOBLAST STRENGTH will provide you with a personally designed training protocol that will meet your goals in the most safe and efficient way possible. An initial consultation will allow us to solidify what your goals are, address any past injuries or health related issues, and then set up a realistic timeline to attain your goals. I can't say enough about Myoblast Strength. In just 6 weeks, TP, Ashley and Tim have dramatically improved my strength and fitness in just 2 sessions a week and there is tons of room to run.

From my very first session, I was blown away with the workout. TP has come up with the formula to combine the best and most efficient elements of several staple workouts like metabolic conditioning and strength training into one power packed and efficient 30 minute session that leaves you gassed and pumped all at the same time. Unsurprisingly, I have made gains in strength and endurance in literally every session I have done in 6 weeks.

One of the best but maybe most underrated aspects of the format is the one I was so skeptical about - the use of machines for most of the exercises. The machines allow the trainers to prescribe you heavier weight in a very controlled environment thus greatly reducing the risk of injury. This has been a huge comfort for me as the thought of aggravating old injuries was big concern for me.

Lastly I have to note the trainers. TP, Tim and Ashley are there with you 100% of the time, guiding you through the variety of workouts, selecting and adjusting your weights, moving you from station to station, tracking your progress and giving you the extra motivation you need to knock out those last 2 reps. You get yourself through the door, but they sure help get you though your workout. Without the one-on-one coaching, this is just another gym, but thanks to TP and the crew, this is the best strength and fitness program you are going to find anywhere out there.

At this stage in my life, I’m very busy and time is an incredibly precious resource. Finding time to workout AND not wasting my time trying to figure out the right exercises to do was very difficult. I go to the coffee shop next to Myoblast in DTSP. I was curious so I called and talked to Thomas and set up a few sessions. This place is INCREDIBLE. Thats the best way I can describe it. Thomas will make sure you are pushing yourself, but in the correct way. I have been training with him for a few months now and have steadily increased my strength. The part I feel is most important is that he WILL make sure you are doing these workouts correctly so you do not hurt yourself. Where to begin... I consider myself to be somewhat in shape. I typically workout with my son 4-5 days a week, one body part a day for about an hour. We don't talk much, we workout to fatigue, get great workouts and we like our progress. While TP never says you're doing it wrong he does say I can get your strength, I can get your conditioning, I get get your size, the cut you desire. I can show you how to do it more efficiently than your current routine, saving you time, allowing you to gain time, time for other things, more energy, less recovery. He says we can do both strength and conditioning; they can be done at the same time in 20-26 min. I am here to tell you if you are like me you grew up with an idea that everything was compartmentalized...strength training was done separately from cardio. I had certain skepticism from what he was telling me. At 16 min into TP's regiment for me, I had a firm understanding of strength and conditioning and how the two can be accomplished simultaneously. The fatigue, the heart rate achieved in that short amount of time was unlike anything I have experienced. TP brings an education, a methodology while you are working out, making sure your technique is good to avoid injuries, a motivation and enthusiasm that is unmatched. He gets your mindset straight and gets more out of you. More than you ever thought possible. Recovery...well lets just say... you need a couple of days. Something else I have never seen a trainer do is follow up with genuine concern with how you are feeling. He continues his training and coaches you during your recovery. If you want to truly get in shape or test what kind of shape you THINK you are in I would HIGHLY recommend giving TP a shot. TP you are truly next level. Thank you.

After several doctor visits for a bad shoulder and being told that surgery was the best fix I succumbed to the pressure to get back in the gym. I always trained 5 times a week at our local gym and each time I spent probably around 2 hours per workout. At the time I thought that was good enough, then I met up with Tom about 2 years ago. This training is nothing like what I have done in the past and the results have really shown over these past two years. If you are looking to push past your current strength and conditioning level, Tom will help you achieve that goal.

The machines he has you will not find in an average gym, they are designed with far more thought on the development of the user. The workouts range from 25-30 minutes and I only visit twice a week, but I have seen more gains in the last two years than I have in the 5 years prior to visiting Myoblast. I definitely recommend that you give Tom a call and go try it out for yourself.

I am working with Tom because I trust him and his expertise. I am over 65 and have experienced many serious health issues in my past. Because of this, out of fear, I have stayed away from the gym and trainers with "week end" certifications. Tom pays close attention to my movements so that I am not hurt and we are making progress. I highly recommend TP as a personal trainer. With my busy schedule, my time is limited for a long workout. With TP’s regimen, you workout for 30 minutes and it feels like you’ve been there an hour. The results were almost immediate, including some unexpected weight loss.

I started working out with TP when i was in the 8th grade and stuck with it till my senior year. I wrestled in high school and my main goal was to make the state tournament. I made it to state my junior and senior year and i have to give a lot of the credit to Coach Knapp because without his intense workouts i probably wouldnt of made it as far as i did. Coach Knapps workouts are only 30 minuets and twice or three times a week and to me its so much better than lifting weights at a gym 5 times a week. Coach Knapp is very knowledgeable and i would recommend him to anyone who is willing to work hard and see great results

Coach Knapp is the GREATEST coach around. He is highly knowledgeable and very motivational. He is very dedicated to his clients and helps them to achieve any and all personal goals. I started training with him since I was 16 and five years later, I still feel eager to train with him everytime I walk through the door! Training here was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Through playing high school athletics I was not getting the proper strength training I needed from the programs my teams provided. I started training with TP near the end of my sophomore year and remained for the rest of my high school career. Training at Myoblast I was able to isolate muscles and rehabilitate injuries I sustained in sports. The intensity of the workouts provided proper strength training and cardio that I wasn’t getting elsewhere. I didn’t believe that a 20-30 minute workout could provide the benefits I needed, but after one week of training I was convinced this was what I needed. Working out here enabled me to excel in high school football and wrestling, and paved the way for me to becoming a collegiate athlete. I have found TP and Myoblast strength is second to none and recommend it to everyone.

I’ve been training with Tom since the beginning of the year, so just a few months shy of a year. Boy has my body, mind, and spirit changed! Working out and staying fit has always been a major priority of mine. I struggled to keep a solid 4-5x a week training routine trying to manage school, work, and my social life, as expected my progress was at a lull. So, you could imagine how ecstatic I was when I discovered Myoblast. I visit Tom 2x a week and my workouts are only 25-30 minutes long. He is very flexible and always able to accommodate my busy schedule that changes week to week.

Since starting my training I have seen incredible results. I noticed a significant difference in my strength right off the bat, my physique is filling out and I have been able to gather the confidence to push myself further than ever before! His 30 min routines knock any other training ive done in the past outta the park. With a workout so short you would expect it to be high intensity. These workouts are hard and somedays even harder, but highly effective and will not disappoint.

Tom has a very unique training style and always has a new monkey wrench to throw into the mix keeping it as effective at possible. To top it off he has extensive knowledge and experience to back up all of his work. He is also very willing to address any concerns or answer any questions you may have. I’ve reccomend him to all my workout junkies!

I have been training with Tom, the owner, two times a week for over four years. Why? I wanted to be strong and flexible. Now I am. Low back pain dogged me for decades and at one time I considered surgery. With Tom’s regime and equipment that pain is nonexistent. It’s gone. I have been training with Tom for a couple of years now and I have seen nothing but improvements with my physique,strength and conditioning. Not only have I gained physical improvements, but I have improved my mental fortitude 10 fold as well, something I wasn't expecting to gain.

I had been training for years and years in the gym, focusing only on strength and I thought I was a pretty strong guy, haha boy was I wrong. He takes strength and conditioning to a level I never would have been able to do on my own and I never knew I was capable of moving the weight that I am now moving in a completely controlled manner.

His equipment is top end and even a little intimidating at first, but these machines blow everything out of the water compared to what you'll find at your local gym and I promise you that you'll notice the difference if you are familiar with the typical equipment you find at the gym.

Whether it's weight loss, muscle gain or maybe you just want to stay healthy and active, Tom is bar none the man to train you and help you achieve your goals. Tom has an extensive education and you will realize this very quickly once the fun begins.
