We have been coming to NFGC for 7 years. We started when our son was super young and needed to get some energy out while focusing on his body. The coaches are absolutely amazing, patient, and know exactly how to work with little littles all the way up to high schoolers. We have been doing gymnastics at NF for 3 years now but this summer was the first time we did their camp. It was amazing. My daughter had a great time and each afternoon at pick up greeted me with, “Can I go back tomorrow?” Brooke, the director, was such a wealth of knowledge and answered all of my questions. Her staff is professional and friendly. I felt like my daughter was in a safe, clean and well run environment. We look forward to using NF for their day camps throughout the year and their summer camp in 2026!

This is our third year participating in NFG's summer camp and I still can't say enough great things. They run the camp like a well-oiled machine - from the minute you drop off to when they check your ID at pick up (every. day!). Every field trip is meticulously planned and thought out, the lunch options are kid-friendly, the crafts, the snacks - simply the best. They keep the kids busy with minimal to zero screen time each week - and that is HARD to find these days. You definitely won't regret putting your kiddos in this camp!

I want to sincerely thank North Florida Gymnastics and especially staff member Brooks for handling a difficult situation with care and professionalism. My daughter was unfortunately being bullied by another child, but Brooks stepped in immediately and took the situation seriously. This is the best gym in town. I’ve been to two others and North Florida Gymnastics is clean, well-kept, and they seem to care about what they do. I’m sure it’s not easy finding quality coaches so the times I’ve had issues with some of the coaching, the problems were immediately addressed in a professional way. My daughter started at North Florida Gymnastics when she was about 18 months old. She is now 9 and competes on the team. My daughter begs to attend the parties, summer camps, and any event the gym hosts. The team coaches are amazing! Coach Melissa, Olivia, GC, and Erin have made great strides this year alone. Being a customer of 8 years, I usually see the coaches receive all of the praise. However, Sarah at the front desk deserves the highest honor. She's the unseen hero. She's efficient. She can multi-task and undoubtedly handles more than is asked of her. She has 99% of the answers, but when she doesn't, she always finds the answer quickly and never forgets to call me or find me to give me the information. The gym is lucky to have her! We love NFGC!

We love this gym we have been here for 6 years. Favorite coaches come and go but that is just the nature of the beast when a lot of them are gymnast and college students who no longer compete. Coach Melissa has been there for a long time and we love her. She teaches in a fun engaging way but also is about improving skills and advancing not just an hour of playtime.

I and my siblings have been tumbling here for almost 3 years, as long as I've been cheering, I have to say it really has helped me improve flexibility, tumbling and athleticism. Coach Melissa is my personal favorite bc she offers good advice/feedback as well as spotting etc. I started in the cheer program but switched bc they taught us cheers and basic tumbling but the stunting was what I was there for (which they didn't do much of at all). But I do recommend tumbling program.

We are fairly new to North Florida Jax. My daughter is competitive so we came from team at another gym. We ended up here by a happy accident lol. During the summer we tried quite a few gyms trying to find the best fit for her. Well when I called her I thought it was a gym much closer to our house. Well I found out it was not… but we came and did the week trial with the team girls. My daughter fell in love!!! She had become very discouraged because of her previous gym. As a parent it was hard to watch the light kind of go out in your kids eyes from something that once brought them so much joy. It was heart breaking. Since we have been here she has that light back in her eyes and her drive has gotten 100 times stronger. She feels that she can now meet her goals of getting into college to do gymnastics. She has picked up skills so much faster than I ever thought she would. I have to give a huge shout out to Coach GC and Coach Melissa!!! They are the ones who have been there to help her get better and teach her new skills! It’s so good to see how the coaches work with the team girls. It’s nice to have a coach like Coach GC… he gets my daughter and understands her. He is able to connect to her and teach her in a way that she understands. When she got here she fit right in and the girls all welcomed her with open arms! Me and my husband feel that the move to North Florida Jax has been one of the best things we have done for her. I spend a lot of time at the gym because she is here 20 hours a week and we live far enough away that it makes no sense for me to go home and come back for her. But because I am here for all of that time I see a lot of how everything runs and I have to say that North Florida has it going on. They are very organized and things run very smoothly. All in all I can not say how much we love North Florida Jax and would give them more than 5 stars if I could!!!!

Switched my daughter over from a different gym because we both felt like she wasn’t challenged enough, and we are so glad we did. The staff is not friendly, exceptional of Coach Kelbie and the front desk receptionist on Monday nights. Also, the tokens have an expiration date, and if you don't use them you lose them. (Dont ask if there is anyway to use an expired token, you will get a very rude response). Very quick turnover, some coaches finish class 5 to 7 minutes early. Sanitation, and scheduling are okay. We just started here not sure how long we will stay.

Where to start? We have been at NFG for 4 years between both our daughters. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Every time we walk in the door, my daughter is greeted by name by the front desk (Sarah and Kelbie). Most recently, our youngest daughter has been wanting to advance and the staff in the tot class was willing to help achieve this goal with her. NFG just feels like family! We’ve been coming here for 4+ years now in tots classes. The coaches are always so enthusiastic and wonderful with children. NFGC is the most organized gym we have ever been a part of. The women at the front desk are always available and helpful and there are so many quality recreational coaches that they keep class sizes smaller and are better able to focus on each gymnast. Our 2 girls love coming here. Staff are great, coaches are very helpful and know how to guide them to making progress and making it fun. Would have given t stars but one problem is seating. Seats are getting old and even some have arm rests that have come off and the metal below is sharp. Also growing trend is in the little kid class there aren't enough seats at all. Not to mention some kids have 4-5 adults show up and then other parents who might just be alone don't have places to sit. I would recommend having two FULL lines of seats. Hope it gets looked at as an option....

It is an average gymnastics place- nothing fancy about it. The management and front desk need to work on their communication skills- you hear one thing when you talk to them face to face and totally different thing when you call them.
Everything goes well , when they charge your credit card and you don’t miss any classes. The problems start when you want to put your account on hold for summer break- they will ask you to use your prepaid month that you pay for when you register even though you’re just taking a break during summer. Then when you want to sign up again, they charge a registration fee again.
After going there for over a year we decided to stop just because I was tired of dealing with the management. Their policies are just to benefit them. So when we decided to cancel, I had that extra month (4 classes) that I paid for. However, one of the classes was supposed to be on December 26th- they were closed that whole week till January 2nd. I called on January 4th to schedule a make up class and found out that my make up token already expired. Very disappointed with that place. There are other options in the area.

This gym is okay. There is no communication between coaches and during my daughters 1 year and 4 months there at level one she cycled through probably 6 different coaches. She never advanced past level one because she continually got new coaches. When I talked to each new coach they would all say she’s so close and just about to move up. This went on for a year. At some point it kills the kids motivation to continue when they are doing the same thing for 1.5 years. It gets boring so she stops giving it 100%. It’s also difficult to determine what needs work in order to advance. The coaches don’t communicate anything to you. And each coach singled out a different thing to work on. You have to ask the coaches for progress updates which is difficult during the 2 minute transition between classes. They do testing every 8 weeks and you get an email with some star rating for each move. There’s no description on what the moves mean or what percentage of perfect score is needed to advance. There’s really no guidelines for advancement. It’s just “when the coach feels they are ready.” My daughter is not the best but there was no communication when it comes to how she could improve. WARNING Also be aware of the cancellation policy. You have to pay for the last month when signing up and they require 30 days notice to cancel. I cancelled today September 2 so one would assume this could be applied to the next 29 days of September and 1 prorated day in October. This is not the case. They billed me for September already so the last month I prepaid was applied to October. That’s essentially 60 days past cancellation, not 30. Also I paid for the full last month but somehow my end date is October 17. So despite a full months payment my daughter only attends 3 of the 5 classes in October. Even if I cancelled August 30 or 31 it would not have been enough time to stop the auto billing on the first of each month. Therefore you really have to give a 45 days notice to prevent two months billing after your cancellation. And even then you will only get 2-3 classes your last month when you paid for the whole month. I can see why they do this policy. Because it screws people out of two months of payments. That’s a nice chunk of free money with each cancellation.

Coaches do not seem to care about the kids, we were having problems with one of the coaches and instead of having a conversation about our concerns, the coach said he would gladly fill out our paper work to leave the gym. The manger was present for this behavior and did not intervene. Speaking of the manager we were at this gym for 3 to 4 years and she has never once acknowledged my kids or my wife and I. This gym is all about the money and are not afraid to hold back its athletes for maximum profit. My child has an obvious naturally athletic gift, she has been praised by many of the coaches at the gym. It was very disheartening to have to leave this gym only because my children adored a few of the coaches. We stayed with this gym through covid, kept paying our dues so that they could keep their doors open. Now come to find out the gym is full of toxic individuals we should have left years ago.

My nephew has been going to NFGC for several years and he love’s it! They have up to date equipment and the gym is nice and clean. Staff is always friendly and helpful with the kids. I recommend this gym highly!

Great environment, friendly and knowledgeable management and staff. My daughter has had such a wonderful experience since we joined last year. Ms. Brook and Ms.Green have been so helpful this summer. I'm so grateful for their hard work and dedication. They continue to go above and beyond each time their assistance is needed. It is sad that I have to write this review, but I feel it is best to be honest. I’m disappointed in my experience with management and their communication. I respect they are running a business, I just wish it felt less like a business and more like a place where my child could have an enjoyable team building experience. Management only approaching me when money is due or when a situation occurred, which creates a poor experience, and I’m sure the same experience for other parents as well. Kids are always first, but my message to management would be, please do not forget the parents are also having an experience as we watch our kids learn, interact with coaches and learn new things. When management comes to talk to the parents and when they make a decision on how to handle a situation that involves my child, please remember the parents walk away with the feeling and we get to decided on if we should bring our back. I’m sad to say I will not take my child back to North Florida gymnastics and I recommend any parents to try another place first.

My FOUR year old daughter came to what she thought was her last gymnastics class…to find out that I had messed up. Her last class was actually the week before unbeknownst to me. After rushing from the downtown area-after getting off work, picking her up from school against traffic and then driving her to gymnastics in which we strategically planned with her Aunt to meet us there as well.. I was told our last class was actually the week before (no farewell signaling or verbal mentioning that week; hence partially why I missed that being our last class). Her coach never said bye or anything. I am disappointed in how this honest mistake was addressed at the detriment of my 4 year olds spirit. She was devastated after being pulled out of her class in which she had already started with her friends. I offered to pay for the day and the answer given to me was “you signed the paper stating the end date.” No sympathy. There was no reasoning with my four year old. She had tears all the way home. I do not recommend North Florida Gymnastics and we will not be back.

Font desk staff has never been anything but short and near rude, in person and on the phone. Policies seem to change depending on who you talk to and manager is never available. My son loved it, but the staff makes it hard to want to be there. In this day and age, one would think a little customer service would be nice.

We left a few years ago for a team program that fit our family better. We were not entirely unhappy at this gym. The gym itself is in top notch condition with top quality equipment, and their rotation schedule for team and recreational classes are run so neither classes run into others. Just because it wasn’t a fit for our family, doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t fit yours. For us, I cannot give it more than two stars. As with any program, do your due diligence in trials and ask a lot of probing questions to find out if their vision and coaching style meets that of your gymnast.

Almost everyone is very friendly.
A little unorganized but definitely has it together much better than the other gyms in the area and will absolutely get your child further than other places in the area as well.
One star off because of the not so friendly faces when you walk in the door and the slightly off organization. Other than that this place is great.

This place is just like very other place we've been too. Pretends to care to get you in there with your money and then acts like your child is just another member and could care less about the personal one on one per coach ect.
My daughter doesn't ever know where to go because she doesn't know which coach to find.
The coaches all teach differently.
Their trophy programs are a complete WASTE.
We will be looking for another place AGAIN.

Also everyone in this place is SO rude.
No smiling faces. No kindness.

One search saw a child bleeding on the equipment and just stared at her and didn't even ask her if she was okay, or let her know she was bleeding, a parent pointed it out.. The coach didn't even clean the blood off the equipment but hey, at least she had a mask a suppose....

Absolutely love this gym! The coaches are firm but kind to their kids and keep them on the right path. My child started over three years ago and is already at level 5 for an 11 year old and wants to go all the way to the Olympics! I do wish they had some kind of scholarship program because for a child that wants to do this for the long haul it gets very expensive as the years go on and it's difficult to maintain but they are a wonderful, supportive, and hard working group and I'm glad that she's going there and we intend to stay for as long as possible.

North Florida Gymnastics is a top quality program and the owner Mary is a wonderful person. I am the mother of two competitive gymnasts and had to come to the local area temporarily due to a family emergency. Mary welcomed my girls with open arms and allowed them to practice with her team. Mary's warm welcome and kindness towards our family removed such a burden in an a stressful time. It was a huge blessing for my girls to be able to be around other kids, continue their training, and have some normalcy in an otherwise overwhelming situation! We are truly grateful for her kindness and compassion.

I can also attest to the quality of training and coaches at North Florida. I am also a gymnastics coach, having coached in several high quality gymnastics facilities in Florida (such as LaFleur's) and in Texas. The coaches at North Florida were top notch. They have an excellent focus on technique and form and hold the girls to a high standard while still having fun. They ran practice efficiently and safely. I could see improvement in my gymnasts in the time we spent there. As a military family, we have been to many facilities and I've realized it is not easy to come by a gym that has both high quality training and coaches that use positive reinforcement while upholding high standards. I would recommend North Florida for any gymnast in the area looking for a great team.

We love this gym and I would recommend it to anyone. My 6 year old son is in the boys program. We initially did a trial class from 6-7 pm and I was really impressed by some of the older kids that were there and what they were doing - boys and girls. The gym is clean and smells nice with great visibility of the entire space. The coaches all seem very professional and you can just tell that they love what they do.

I am so glad I enrolled my daughter here. As a matter of fact, I just talked one of my friends into enrolling her daughter here as well. The staff is friendly, the coaches are caring, and the program is relatively seamless. Don't expect overly strict behavioral standards as these are mostly college-aged coaches. I've seen parents get furious because their kids aren't chastised for the smallest infractions. It's not that kind of program

My kids (ages 3.5 & 6.5) have been taking recreational gym classes at North Florida Gymnastics for two years. The gym is clean, has age-appropriate equipment and a great viewing area for parents who want to watch their kids. The staff is extremely friendly and the coaches are great working with the kids. My only complaint is the size of the classes. The ratio is supposed to be 6:1, which is ok. However, lately I've noticed some classes having as many as 7 or 8 students in them. (I suspect the additional students may be from the staff squeezing in makeups or a new student doing a free trial.) When this happens, the coaches are not able to give individual time/attention to each child at each rotation (this is unfair to the coaches and the students). It becomes frustrating to watch my kid perform an exercise wrong over and over because the instructor is not able to get to each student because the class is too big. I can't help but feel like quantity is being prioritized over quality, which is a shame because the quality of this gym is what originally impressed and sold me.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We have only been coming here for a few months but I plan on keeping my daughter here for as long as she wants to do gymnastics. Her coach Katie really takes coaching the kids seriously and is very nice. In fact, all the coaches seem to really take their jobs seriously. They all take their time and patiently wait for each student to learn a new move before they move on.
We also held my daughter's 6th birthday here. Katie hosted that party and she exceeded my expectations of holding a party at a place like this. We had kids from two to nine year olds and every single one had a great time. She had them doing all kinds activities that they all enjoyed. My favorite was the parachute where the kids switched positions and she knew each and every single one of the kids' names and made sure every one got their turn.

This is the best place to learn gymnastics. Erin the Program Director and Head Coach is wonderful. The owners have done a great job keeping the facility clean and well equipped. The location is perfect with shopping right next door. They have been open since 1992 and have 4 other locations, there must be a reason! They offer free trial classes so try it yourself. Your child will love it.

My 12 year old daughter loves going to gymnastics class everyday after school. Since starting the program her grades have drastically improved (AB honor roll now). She loves the trainers and learning new gymnastic tricks. The staff is warm and welcoming! (especially Jessica) Plus, they assist her with getting her homework assignments done. This program is affordable and I would recommend it to any parents looking to build their kids confidence and get them moving!

This place requires a month deposit even though you have credit card on file. Although the class itself is all right, they are having so many classes at the same time slot (that is, in the same room) making the place feels like a zoo and not it starts to smell. Over all, this place feels too penny pitching.
