North Star Fitness and CrossFit Riverstyx offers traditional CrossFit classes, Weightlifting, Yoga and personal training. We are built on the belief that health comes from focusing on whole-person wellness. We strive to be a community that welcomes all athletes at every stage of training.

I signed up for the Monday WOD. The first thing I noticed was the detail Lindsey's put in her plan. She had everything written out on a marker board informing us of everything we would do in the class.
I liked how she started the class was an ice breaker - favorite Thanksgiving food lol - it was a fun way to start the workout.
She did a great job walking us through each part of the workout, explaining things and demonstrated each movement. She was very attentive to her clients, watching their movements and giving constructive guidance on how to correct and how to improve.
As someone who has never done CrossFit, she made the workout very accessible. She's a very good, informative, and skilled instructor. Highly recommend people sing up for her courses.

North Star Fitness is such a welcoming community, no matter your fitness level. They have a variety of classes , some for the more fit and seasoned cross fit athlete and my class which is a beginner's longevity class. We move slower, focusing on good form and accomodating everyone's needs. It is still a great workout and we have a lot of fun. The coaches are all wonderful and everyone in the gym has been so welcoming and encouraging. So whether you are super fit, or an older beginner like me, North Star is a great gym.

This is a great place with talented and supportive coaches who help you improve your lean muscle mass, fitness and balance. The Longevity classes are for the more “seasoned” fitness seekers and provides an incredible, affirming community. Lindsey, Jen and Heather are exceptional - come and check them out!

My daughter goes to North Star for the Strength and Conditioning for Teen Girls program. She LOVES it! She’s not only physically stronger from the class, but she's mentally and emotionally stronger. This is so important for teen girls - mindset! Heather, Lindsey and Jenny are making an impact and a difference and helping these girls set a foundation for exercise and strength that will last a lifetime - thank you! I highly recommend! I can't say enough great things about North Star Fitness! After five years away from CrossFit, I was nervous about getting back into it, but from the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. The coaches—Lindsey, Jenny, Heather, and Russ—are absolutely incredible. They’re not just knowledgeable and experienced, but they truly care about each member’s progress and well-being.
The atmosphere here is encouraging and motivating with a family like vibe. The coaches and fellow members help motivate and push you to be your best, while also making sure you're having fun and staying safe. Whether you're new to CrossFit or getting back into it like I was, this is the perfect place to grow stronger, both physically and mentally.

It’s easy to feel intimidated when you hear Crossfit 😳 especially at a certain age! but this place has an awesome culture of encouragement and camaraderie! Everything is modifiable based on your status and health goals! Give it a try!

I had never tried CrossFit before, but the amazing trainers brought me right up to speed with the other members. I had such a good time and I was so welcomed. I would highly recommend this gym to everyone. The community at this gym is so inclusive and supportive!

I love North Star Fitness! The instructors are so knowledgeable and lead us in the best workouts! I have gotten so strong while working out here and everyday is a new workout! Since my first day at North Star Fitness I’ve felt welcomed to this community. This gym is for all levels of fitness and ages.
The coaches and members are very encouraging.
I always felt that I was working out with a group not by myself.

I was new to CrossFit when I joined in March and looking to do something that would challenge me as compared to the regular gym. Everyone encourages and supports each other during workouts. The coaches are knowledgeable and they help me work with my physical limitations due to my previous back injury. This is more than a gym, it’s a community!

Can’t say enough good things about North Star Fitness and their team! Whatever your fitness level is, they can work with you and tailor the workouts to your abilities. I’ve been going for about a year and it’s really made a big difference for me. They have lots of convenient class times available and it’s a real friendly and inclusive atmosphere!

North Star Fitness is my favorite gym! I have belonged to many CrossFit gyms since I first began, over a decade ago; and this one has completely embraced the CrossFit mentality. The community is like no other, the amount of support I have received, not only the coaches, but also from other members is outstanding. I was welcomed with open arms when I joined. My goal was to get back into a regular exercise routine, as I had not been active in quite some time. This gym is for all people; those who are trying to get back into an exercise routine, those new to CrossFit style exercise, and experienced CrossFit athletes. Although, I have been able to focus on my physical health through attending classes, I have also been able to create wonderful friendships. No matter what the workout is, I look forward to going to the gym. Even if the exercises are not my favorite, I know I will see friendly faces and be met with encouragement.

My wife and I joined in the first week of August. We absolutely love it! We initially joined the longevity class. Which is a introduction class for less active, those who are coming back to exercise after a long break or older adults. The experience has been literally life changing. I remember our first day of classes and how difficult the warm up was. Now we just shrug at the warm up. The longevity class is small but has consistent group that meets 3 times a week. It’s very social and is a great way to exercise. The instructors are always happy to see you and always asking about you and how you feel.
I have graduated to the regular classes. I use the term graduated loosely. You don’t need to start with one class then move up. As 50+ I admit I was intimidated by the other classes but everyone is so welcoming my fear soon disappeared. The instructors are very helpful and well versed in how to help you make modifications to the routines as well as the actual exercises. The instructors as well as your fellow classmates help push you as far as you want to go. If you think you want to be the next great CrossFit athlete they’ll push you to that goal, if you are happy that you’re just here and everything else is just “gravy” they will support that. I didn’t start out looking for new friends or family, but I would say I have found a CrossFit family. You can join other gyms, however you won’t find a nicer, funnier, or friendlier group of people!! Can’t say enough good things.

Fantastic facility - a welcome departure from the typical warehouse gym/CrossFit box.
The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and encouraging while pushing clients to do their best. Love the Saturday partner WODs as a way to bring members who attend at different times during the week together for a good workout.
