At Old Bull Athletics, we blend the worlds of physical therapy and strength and performance training, offering the complete picture of health and wellness.
Our Doctors of Physical Therapy, Personal Trainers and Exercise Physiologists promote education and compassion, and use strength and movement as ways to prevent the risk of injury and provide next-level, game-changing results. Our priorities are to tune in to our clients’ personal goals, identify strategies to help them achieve success, and guide them to positive physical, mental, and behavioral changes, through one-on-one coaching.

I initially found Old Bull because my daughter is a competitive gymnast who has a congenital birth defect that makes some skills challenging for her. Hannah has worked with my daughter to help her gain new, difficult skills through PT and strength training. Now my older daughter is also seeing a physical therapist to work on balance coordination and overall body awareness....And I see a trainer there so I an be a fit mom! OBA has positively impacted the health and confidence of my whole family. We love all of them!!

Go for the training, stay for the therapy. This hidden gem of a gym/physical therapy center boasts specialized rehab equipment as well as highly skilled and experienced DPT's and strength coaches. Hannah is, in addition to both, also well versed in gymnastics, very observant and helpful, and a darn nice human being to boot. Thank you Old Bull for the changes in me.

I saw Hannah for the first time in 2021. I had been told I would eventually need a knee replacement and suggested to start PT. It’s 2025 and I am still with her. No knee replacement as of yet. My legs are super strong. Then came a rotator cuff surgery. The rehab is long, but my mobility in that arm is at 100% once again owed to her. She also help me train properly in order to continue hiking with my husband. Oh, did he notice the improvement immediately and was extremely appreciative of it. She has helped me with my balance, physical strength, posture, etc. Hannah has completely changed my life for the better. I have not enough words of gratitude and appreciation for her and the entire staff of Old Bull Athletics

Esau is the man! Since working with him, I’ve improved my running form, straightened my upper back so I’m no longer slouching, and gained better mobility in my hips and knees. He has a way of motivating me when I’m not feeling it—always encouraging, and somehow adjusting my workouts to feel easier, even though I end up doing more than I usually would (without even realizing it!).
Esau knows how to connect with people and truly makes sure you’re making the most of your time. I actually look forward to our sessions—which says a lot, because I used to dread the gym. I genuinely appreciate all of his guidance and support. He makes my Old Bull experience!

If you are considering hiring a personal trainer, do not waste your time looking anywhere else. I've been working with various trainers for over 20 years, and nobody even comes close to the level of care, attention, and most importantly, RESULTS, that you'll get here. This place is not cheap. But your health is your most important asset and it's worth every dollar you’ll pay and more. I've been working with Coach Joe for 4 months now, and the only thing I'm dissatisfied with is that I didn't hire him years ago. I've dealt with bicep tendonitis, a tear in my brachialis, and a shoulder impingement for years. I have tried rehab and multiple rounds of PRP injections. Nothing worked. The team at Old Bull put together a specialized rehab/training program that has completely healed everything in 4 months. Zero pain. Zero mobility issues. And the process was not only painless, it was enjoyable. I didn't come here for rehab, I came for strength training. But Old Bull's philosophy is that rehab and training are one and the same. Every exercise they select for you is designed to prevent injuries, heal old ones, and make you stronger. They ask for constant feedback and tweak each session on-the-fly to address anything that might even remotely feel uncomfortable. They keep detailed client notes on every single movement. They even record videos and review with you to give personalized feedback and improve your form. Every session is a surprise with new and interesting movements that I guarantee you have never tried before and won't even know about unless you sign up with them (and they have some cool high tech equipment you won't see anywhere else). I'm incredibly grateful that I found this gym and that I was assigned to work with Coach Joe. This experience has greatly improved my life and has set a new bar for what I expect the fitness industry to deliver for those willing to invest in quality personal training. Oh and btw - they are opening a new location in Merrick Park which looks incredible. Check them out.

My experience with IK (Ikedichi Ofer) has been excellent. I had suffered from hip and lower back issues and had seen an orthopedic surgeon who told me that surgery was likely my best option. A hip specialist told me there was little he could do. So I tried PT and until I was fortunate enough to connect with IK, I was not getting any better. IK took a different approach fron others and concentrated on strengthening the set of muscles supporting my upper leg and hip. It worked and I'm much better. IK really knows his stuff and the science and medicine supporting his practice. He's a very good listener, has a great personality and makes the experience of trying to get better fun. My wife (in her 70’s) has had abdominal pains which finally were diagnosed as inflammation of the hip flexor muscles. Medical experts recommended exercises to strengthen the muscles over a few months period. We were very fortunate to find Katie Dabrowski of Old Bull Athletics in Coral Gables, Florida. Katie is a fantastic personal trainer. She evaluated my wife´s situation and showed many exercises specifically to strengthen the hip flexor. She explained in detail the purpose of each exercise and the benefit. She also created a specific workout program that we were able to take with us to use at home. In the 3 months that my wife has been diligently doing the exercises, she has noted a great improvement, with less pain and greater mobility in her leg. The exercise program is also helping to strengthen other muscles (legs, lower back, abdomen) which will be so important for quality of life in the future. Katie is a great motivator, knows deeply her business and is a very pleasant person to work with. She comes highly recommended by us.

Had an amazing experience first working with Katie at the Coral Gables location who truly changed my life when she helped me get to the bottom of the chronic pain I had been suffering with and was the first to mention the genetic disorder I’ve since been diagnosed with. I had a great experience with Dr Kate Dabrowski at Old Bull in Coral Gables, and so did all of my personal training clients I have referred to them for treatment. Not only did I get over the shoulder issues I had struggled with for a long time even after seeing several other physical therapists, she also gave me the tools how to remain pain-free ever since. Besides that, I really enjoyed all the new training and movement techniques she shared with me, her interest in listening to me and genuine care in addressing my needs. We absolutely adore, Hannah! Our daughter is 6 years old and broke her tibia. It was awful! We went from a wheelchair to two different boots and the process just seemed so unknown and long. Hannah gave us reassurance that the doctors lacked (due to time spent) and guided us better in our experience. She helped give Penelope her confidence back and get stronger daily! We are so grateful for Hannah. Penelope is no longer in a cast and we still continue with therapy with Hannah to set Penelope up for all the activities she will come across in life.

My time at Old Bull has been one of the best healthcare experiences I’ve had in my adult life! I’ve been practicing CrossFit for the past nine years and was referred to Katie Dabrowski for a shoulder injury. I went in not really knowing what to expect but understanding that if I was told I couldn’t CrossFit I was going to walk away. Not only did Katie not tell me I couldn’t Crossfit. She encouraged me to continue with my desired modality of exercise. She was clear and concise. She built a plan for treatment that made sense to me and she was clear about the steps we would take to get me where I wanted to be and doing the thing I wanted to do most, CrossFit. A short 10 weeks later I’m back at it and feeling the best that I’ve felt in a long time and my strength has also improved significantly. I have been working with Katie Dabrowski and the rest of the team at Old Bull for almost a year now. I started with the goal of fixing some old injuries and imbalances from sports and jiu jitsu. I had knee and shoulder issues. Those are now completely gone and we have been focused on strength and mobility. It has made a world of difference in everyday life and on the mats. The best part is that Katie is a Doctor of Physical Therapy so whenever I do have a new injury or issue, it is addressed right away and I know I am receiving professional help and advice. I was hesitant to get a personal trainer because I wasn’t sure if it was necessary to get the results I wanted but I am so glad I did! Working with Katie changed my relationship with my body and with working out in general. I used to think that “not being able to move (insert muscle group here)” was a sign of a good workout but all the workouts she planned for me were challenging while still being manageable and focused on quality rather than quantity. I’ve seen a shift in what I’ve been able to do from week to week and I know it’s because Katie has been scaffolding me. Now I can do real push ups! Can’t say enough good things, she’s professional, the facilities are clean and have everything you would need for a great workout and everyone’s very nice. Would recommend 10/10

Let me do you a huge favor by telling you about this gym. Old Bull Athletics is the best training facility I have ever been too! After the coronavirus struck and gyms were finally able to reopen, I was hesitant to start working out after visiting a few gyms like LA fitness and Youfit. Those gyms were flooded with people and the equipment was not regularly taken care of and I truly felt that my health was in danger. After discussing about my situation to certain friends, they referred me to Old Bull Athletics. Upon stepping foot in the gym, I was greeting with a very nice training facility, and the gym was not packed like other places! Upon seeing the equipment, I knew this place was providing the high quality workouts and equipment that many other gyms were simply failing to offer. The equipment was regularly sanitized and the gym had a good amount of people in it. I began working out there with trainers and started to discover just how much this gym had to offer. Above the clean equipment and the incredible training sessions, I soon realized this gym had a rehab recovery lab inside the gym! These people really thought of everything! Come to Old Bull Athletics!

Thanks to Frankie Telfort and Old Bull Athletics I have been able to reduce my knee pain when I am weight training. He not only gave me some key stretches to do daily, but also helped fix my form on my compound movements such as the squats. He was able to explain why I was experiencing pain which allowed me to better understand what I needed to fix. This has been helpful because now when I record myself I can see what I did well and what I need to work on. The gym itself is very boutique like which gives the feel of luxury and personal experience, which Miami is all about lol. The workout was amazing! As a LMT I could tell that the team is made up of people who KNOW what they’re talking about and what they are doing. They have amazing knowledge of the body and it‘s functions so trusting them with your body and it’s progress is natural. The workout recovery treatment is LEGIT! From the essential oil infused cool down towels to the “toys” (tools used by professionals to help body recovery). I’ve been coming here for five years. I pretty much couldn’t walk before I started working with Frankie— now I walk about five miles a day and love to lift heavy weight! I am overweight with arthritis and a host of other issues, but I have always felt at home here— they make everyone welcome and are phenomenal at fixing what ails you. Exceptional PT gym. If you're looking for expert level personal training, you came to the right place. I started with lower back pain from a disc injury years ago. And a goal to build muscle, Frankie worked with me on rehabilitating my lower back and improving my overall strength. The training is intense, and my favorite part is the big breakfast I eat post-workout because boy do I need it. I'm happy to say that after months of training my lower back pain has completely disappeared. What I love most about training with Reese is his ability to find balance between having patience with you and giving you the extra push needed to grow. Since training with him I have gained a tremendous amount of strength (both mentally and physically), have no pain in areas that used to constantly nag me (like my neck and shoulders) and have developed baby abs. I'm on my way to full blown abs soon. :) His programing is thoughtful, strategic and intense but his playful demeanor will guarantee a good time. Been a super active person and exercising all the time is my personality and suddenly my body start telling me something I did not understand, until I find myself in a unbearable pain, I was in pain even when I was asleep, obviously I was scared and I did not know what to do or where to go; until I realized that I was following this guy I saw once doing the most weirdest thing (suction cup) I guess that is what they called it, it got my attention and the feedback of his client says this place is amazing, it took me a couple of hours to decide but I move my painful body to Old Bull Athletics and I have to say just opening the door makes you feel good and relaxed.
I made my first appointment with Reese the face that I recognize from the Instagram, after that date I knew that I was in good hands; the beginning was painful but now I have to say that “THIS PLACE IS AMAZING”
They teach you how to move and how to do your exercise correctly, how to be strong so you don’t hurt yourself and if you are hurt to heal you; They look like soldiers with big smile in their faces, hands that can heal and always with a strong voice telling you ,

Before going to Old Bull Athletics I just focused on doing machines at other gyms and now I am noticing a lot more endurance during the workouts that Frankie sets for me. Old Bull has changed my life within these past few weeks. I fractured my spine 7 months ago in a terrible car accident. I am only 25yrs old and the drastic difference I felt in my back was scary, after the accident - thought it would never be the same again.
I have been going to Old Bull for over a month and have felt a TREMENDOUS improvement in my back! I am healing weekly and the attention & care (Reese Whitely, my trainer) provides is exceptional. Deep Tissue massages have reduced the scar tissue, and tightness on my back. With this, it is very likely I will not need surgery to remove the metal rods on my spine which have been causing pain.
Flexibility & range of motion are coming back. Energy in the gym is uplifting!

Growing up dancing, I was very familiar with lower back pain and diagnosed with spondylolysis and low grade vertebral slippage as a teen. Rest from dancing , anti inflammatories and PT were the only options I was given, which ultimately led to me dancing less as an adult. Once I reincorporated frequent ballet into my routine, I started to get severe lower back pain that radiated down my body again and decided to go to Old Bull Athletics. Reese provided me with a holistic approach, that included rehab & recovery to manage my pain and gradually incorporated strength training into my program to ensure I strengthen my core and body properly in order to keep up with demands of dancing more frequently. With the consistent training with Reese, I am pain free now and am able to work on being a stronger, better dancer overall. He goes out of his way to explain why we do the exercises we do, is eager to answer any questions, checks in to see how I am feeling, and is patient with me, as I learn the proper way to strength train. I can't say enough about how much better and overall improved I feel. My former ballet teacher is also happy with my improved core and overall strength, posture and body alignment.
