My daughter recently had her birthday party at OMG-Avalon Park, and the party hosts were absolutely fantastic! We had Tatiana and Jada as our party hosts and I could not have been happier with how they managed the party. They kept us on time, made sure all the kids knew the safety rules, and they were so helpful with set-up and clean up for the party.

I love them so much! The sweetest and most patient staff. The location is always clean and welcoming. Thank you for taking such great care of our kids and being so patient when teaching. I'm so impressed with how they know all of the kids by name no matter what class or age group. May your business and employees always be blessed and successful! Thank you

I don't give it one star... I made an appointment to celebrate my daughter's birthday... which didn't show up with more than 40 guests and my daughter is a student at that gym... what a blatant lack of respect and abuse. I arrived on the day of my appointment to celebrate my daughter's birthday and it was closed, no one showed up, no one answered the phone. If it's for me he will sue them. Don't even think about planning a birthday e. that place

(Avalon) Don’t bother with a birthday party. Showed up early and was told they had no helium for the balloons. Luckily they were able to provide a couple.
The party was suppose to start at 12:30pm. At 12:40pm I went hunting for someone to start us. The guy acted like he had no idea what to do or what was going on. Told us it’s free play to just go run around.
The place wasn’t even empty there were others practicing / working on things.
The play time was suppose to be for an hour and he tried to get us to stop after 30-35 minutes, we told him no we didn’t even start on time and we get a full hour.
I was hoping for some guided fun activities and more then 1 person for 15 kids. Luckily I had parents that took those roles while the guy disappeared for the entire party. Not sure what I actually paid for?

Bailey loves it here. She is only 4 but she has come a long way from where she started. I feel confident the coaches are showing them the proper way to do things as i did gymnastics and know the correct way. I hope she stays happy as she continues on this journey but i def feel confident we have her at the right gym.

the coaches are good but owner an office manager are in it for the money. Had something very Unexpected happened. Had stop with gymnastics their drop policy is a little ridiculous when asking for a refund they said absolutely not. They are not very understanding when it comes to unexpected things. I highly recommend you find a different gymnastics place.

We absolutely love Orlando Metro Gymnastics! My kids have been going there for almost 2 years. We love summer camp, parents night outs, and various holiday events. Kids always come home happy and exhausted. The staff and coaches are very attentive. My daughter has been a part of the competitive team for over a year, and has had great progress overall. We love Orlando Metro gymnastics!

Please read all the one star reviews! After 4 months (2 X week lesson) at this place, my daughter is not improving her skills. This place is a waste of money for parents looking for their kids to develop fine skills in Gymnastics. If you are looking for a place for your kids to go and play for an hour and pay $140 every four weeks, this is the place for you!

The front desk lady is rude, yes very rude (blond hair, dark hair), they are all very rude. Orlando Metro Gymnastics policies are conveniently made to get the more money out of you!

-Classes consist of 7-8 kids (mostly girls) sometimes more. They take turns to the beam, floor, bars, etc. Do the math:
1 adult x 1 beam x 20 min /8 kids = 2.5 chances at practicing.

-Coaches for beginners are not trained coaches. They are young adults (students) with no coaching knowledge; therefore you are just getting a baby sitter to deal with your child for an hour while you watch their interaction.

-They bill you based on a 4 week period, on august they canceled classes because of the 5 week month. The month of November ends on the 15.

-If you miss a class there is no make up, unless you miss two classes then you get 1 make up class (2 for 1) and the make up class must be on a Saturday.

-Place is dirty and needs maintenance. I saw roaches and the boys bathroom door has not worked properly for some time; so boys don't have privacy when they use the bathroom.

I requested a cancelation and they did not even asked why, just gave me a form to fill out (considering the 30 days notice). If you were the owner of this place, would you care to know why a parent was canceling membership?

Good luck and I hope you find another place for your kids!

Dissapointed with the treatment my daughter received, I wrote this letter to the owner, emailed it twice and no response...

Good Morning,

I am the concerned mother of Mia, she attends the gym stars class at the Waterford lakes location for Orlando Metro Gymnastics. We Have been with Orlando Metro Gymnastics for a little over two years now. Mia absolutely loves gymnastics, she has always been very enthusiastic on the days of her classes and lately I have seen her apathetic on the day of her classes. There have been times that Mia’s father or I have sat and watched the class and noticed that most of the time Mia is on her own doing her own thing as well as some of the other girls, my question is aren’t the coaches supposed to be working with the students on the skills they lack in order for them to progress? My daughter has informed me that Coach Megan always has a grumpy mean attitude, a negative attitude will not have a positive impact on these young girls. The coaches should always have a positive attitude and treat their students with respect. In the past two weeks Mia has been brought down from a level 7 to a level 5. On Thursday the 21st Coach Megan informed my daughter that she needed more practice on front hip circle and kip and then on Monday the 25th she brought her down to a level 5. Also on Monday the 25th Coach Megan was explaining to the girls on how their hair should be done for picture day. She stated that the girls should have their hair nice and neat and in a bun and then pointed at my daughter and said not like that. That comment Coach Megan stated is unacceptable, these girls are all at practice and every single one of the girls come to practice with a messy bun or messy pony tail or hair all out. She had no right to point out my daughter and embarrass her in front of all the other girls. My daughter struggles with accepting her natural hair as it is and with the comment coach Megan said, it can cause my daughter to start having low self-esteem about her hair. I feel like my daughter is being discriminated by coach Megan, every other coach Mia has had always compliments on how great she is and on how much she is improving.
I left a message with one of the young ladies that work in the front for the manager to call me so we can speak about my concerns which are stated above. After I left the message I called twice and the manager finally called me back. The manager only seemed concerned about the accusation I made on discrimination and completely disregarded everything else I was concerned about. She had a very unpleasant attitude and seemed like she did not want to be bothered by what I had to say. I asked her if I could please speak to the owner and she stated that she will rely my message but that she doubts that the owner will have time to get back to me I then proceeded to ask for the owner’s email and she gave it to me. I honestly must say that the way she handled things was very unprofessional.

My daughter feels now that since the complaint was put on her coach that if she returns to class Coach Megan will start treating her more indifferently than she already has. I believe my daughter deserves an apology and until this issue is resolved I would please ask that the account on file not be charged and Mia will not be participating in this coming up competition. If this issue does not get resolved and If I do not get a response, I will have no choice but to take further measures.

First I want to start by saying how unprofessional and rude is the lady in front desk. The manager apparently. Second they draft money out of the account with no authorization nor commutation before hand. Third I needed to change the days my daughter was going because I had conflict with my sons practice as well and all they said they could do was to put her back on the pre school class which makes no sense. Why would I bring her back to where she is no longer learning? This is not a hobby you guys we pay for our kids to learn and progress not to step back. Mind you she has being going for over a year. so no help there, that's not professional at all and does not seems to help my daughter in any way they didn't even try or at least the lady we spoke to didn't. So I suggest do hot research before you sign up. I wish they had more professionalism and at least some type of care on working around with people.

Hard to believe any real parent has rated Orlando Metro Gymnastics as a great facility to put your kid in. I wish I could rate this place in Alafaya Trail a -10. My daughter was pushed, kicked behind her knees and had her ponytail whacked by another girl today and Dawn and Brittany at the front desk responded with "they're just kids". It hit me like a ton of bricks to realize that this place doesn't care about the children's safety and has no anti-bullying policies. My husband and I talked with mom of the little girl who did the above mentioned things to my daughter and she had her daughter apologize. Fine, end of story for now I hope. But what if I wasn't there to see this happen? According to what Dawn told me the coaches would handle any such occurrences, but with a class of about 8 girls the coach isn't always looking. I am extremely concerned for the care entrusted to Dawn in ensuring a safe and anti-bullying culture since she claims to be the district manager. With all due respect, I can say that when I spoke to Dawn about the issue with my daughter she handled it with utmost disrespect for our patronage, stating that we could leave and take our daughter out of gymnastics. I said, that was not a solution and that the facility must take steps so that this doesn't happen and should have already discourage it from happening in the first place. Completely shocked and seeing as though I wasn't getting through to her, I suggested she imagined it was her daughter being pushed and kicked...wouldn't she want the facility to do something or have a plan of how it will be deal with? She said it has happened to her daughter before and "that's just how kids are". Can you believe this? I have proof of what she said. Most people have heard of the 13 year old who committed suicide this past August and he even wrote a note in which he said his school didn't do anything to stop the other kids bullying. A kid should never feel like they are alone against a bully and we as adults have THE responsibility to protect them, to show them a solution other than taking their own life. Dawn and Brittany at Orlando Metro Gymnastics should seriously reconsider if they are the right people to be working with kids.

Not bad, but would like to see more intense training and more progress. Seems like they go very slow, my daughter has been there for 2 months and they do the same thing every time. Im not sure how do they take them to the next level.

The facility at Baldwin Park is impressive, and the camp has been a lot of fun for my daughter this past week. I love that they have a little pool to swim in and it's in a wonderful neighborhood with a nice group of kids and competent and friendly camp instructors. A big however, though...the managerial staff upfront is often unfriendly and sometimes unreasonable with their policies in my opinion. Three times in one week I"ve left frustrated at their tone of voice or when inquiring about something. We bought a $30 leotard today, and since I pulled the tag off to pay it was unreturnable or unexchangable 5 minutes later when my daughter tried it on to find it didn't fit. "Sorry, you can't return it." was all I got from the blonde manager with a smug look on her face. Yesterday, I was 10 minutes late picking up after getting stuck in a traffic accident, and I got a nasty "You're late" and had to whip out my credit card immediately to pay a $15 late fee. Quite frankly, I"ve never been treated so dismissively at a children's facility in my life. Although my daughter has enjoyed it, I will not return again. There are too many other nice places which are happy to accomodate us and who would appreciate our business. Beware of this place if you are a stickler for customer service, because this place has zero. It's really a shame, as this place has such potential, and I had planned to have my daughter's birthday party there, but I wouldn't dream of giving them our business again. After checking out other reviews, I can see that I am not alone.

My daughter was turning 3 and I decided to schedule her birthday party at the Baldwin Park location being that I have been to several other gymnastic party and thought it would be fun for her and her cousins/friends. I scheduled this party for 5/5/2013 paid my deposit to hold the day, received e-mail confirmations and 2 phone call confirming the number of children attending and the party colors. The day of the party My family and I arrived at 11:45 a.m. for a 12:30 party because I was told to arrive early. No one was there and the location was closed. I called the only number that was on the confirmation e-mail which was the closed location.I waited and called again at 12:30 left another message I actually waiting outside the location until 1:30 in hopes that someone would arrive to open and until everyone that was invited got there. Finally we had to move the party to the nearest park Blue Jacket Park. After the party at the park had ended I drove passed Orlando Metro to get home and THEY WERE OPENED and there was a party going on. I was fuming so I went inside and approached one of the girls working the party and explained the situation. I had a party booked for today 12:30 and no one was here she said her schedule only showed a 2 pm party and started walking back to schedule desk which I followed. She looked at the schedule as did I and at that moment I know she knew she did wrong because she pointed to the following Saturday and tha'ts when I pointed and showed her NO you see there is a 12:30 party right there. She called her manager and explained the situation then she put me on the phone. I went over everything again and insured her that the schedule did in fact say that there was my party scheduled for 12:30 because I saw it, she giggled under her breath and said she would be in on Monday and she would get back to me. Monday I received a call to come pick up my deposit and they offered me a free party but who really wants to go through all that again. I had 15 kids outside a closed location looking through the windows wanting to go inside and my 3 yr old wanting her party and then have the embarrassment of explaining everything to parents. Plus moving everyone to a park in the heat. I was completely disgusted !!!!! Then when I get online to post my review I ran into several other bad reviews which makes me feel like I should have googled them prior. So my recommendation is to save yourself the time, money, effort and embarrassment and go elsewhere..
