A wonderful "Y" experience. This branch has the best staff, trainers, and organized exercises. The weight areas and pickelball courts are just great. Finally, the Y reaches out to our community with many programs to help all our local people, members or not. Great job Palmer Ranch.

I visited this YMCA using the AWAY program. Staff was nice. Gave me quick tour. Made me feel welcome. The Y has all the basics, pool fitness area, gym for basketball and pickleball. Pool is kept at 86 degrees.

Same as others, 15 day cancellation policy.
Written. Obviously they only want your cash. I did not know about the written policy. I don't live in Sarasota. Did not think i had to read a contract from the Y. Left several messages to cancel. Nope, never happened. On top of that, the place is very dirty. If i was able to stay in Sarasota, ( had to leave to help a seriously sick family member), I was thinking of getting a volunteer group to clean the treadmill machines etc, regularly. They were just neglected, lots of debris, dead skin build up. Not a healthy environment.
Never going back. Love the Y up north
would not happen here. They need to rethink what they are doing, and to whom.
Nit a good look. Very disappointed.

the heated pool has been without heating for about 15 days, and there appears to be no solution in sight. This issue has happened before and also took a long time to resolve.

I travel around the country and visit many YMCA’s. This is one of the worst.
This place is a rip-off. They don’t recognize national Y membership. They don’t recognize Silver Sneakers for Medicare.
The facilities are not up to snuff. The place is dirty. Carpets are not vacuumed. The men’s locker room smells like urine.
The fitness facilities are mediocre, and the staff is surly and unhelpful.
If they don’t want to be part of the Y, they should take down the signs and rebrand themselves.
While they’re at it, they should clean the locker room. Nobody at any YMCA across America has been as unhelpful as this.
It happens on every visit. This visit will be my last.

Went to the facility to renew my membership. I was previously paying around $30 a month for Core.
The new monthly fees for a single adult 55+ membership have jumped up to $60.00. The attendees said there were no senior program discounts.
So I went online to their webpage and found that it will not give you ANY MEMBERSHIP COSTS, unless you submit your full personal information and are forced to opt into there text messaging. Not sure what happened to the Y, but we used to really enjoy it.

We love this place. The classes, pool, gym equipment. The absolute best part is the child watch! Our girls love coming to the gym with us to spend time with Miss Sabrina and everyone else there who do such a great job.

We've visited 4 Branches in this area and this is by far the best! So impressed with the facility and the pump instructor! So welcoming. No excessive rules like other branches. Just a welcoming, positive experience! Fantastic instructor...Janet...one of the best I have ever had in 15 years of pump. Motivating, tough, positive, great tips as she watched EVERYONE! Amazing studio space and equipment best I've ever seen!

Met Leigh and Kristi during a tour of this Y! They were great and align with what you’d imagine Y staff to be like! Nice space, lots of programming available, and the renovations underway to grow the facility is really nice to see.

Older ladies in the front refused me entry while my son was at practice who is a member and we have been going for 3 years me picking him up and never a problem until recently. The lady refused me entry because I was not a member then said needed to fill out a form every time I picked him up. Then said she would get him for me because I refuse to fill out a form everyday when I ignored her and continued to get my own son she grabbed me by my arm. I have never experience such nonsense. He is a member that I pay for monthly so he can practice there. This lady has no customer service experience and does not know how to talk to people. There is a better way to implement new policies and this whole situation is wrong and being implemented by a wanna be correctional officer. YMCA can do better and should do better or they will continue to lose Business.

My mother and I went to join this location this morning. We did not join this location. My mother needed to use the restroom and was told they couldn't allow her to do that because we weren't members even though we were there to join and become members. They told an eighty five year old woman to go to the park next door to use the bathroom. We left and are now going to another ymca facility. When I told the two ladies at the front desk who were extremely rude that we, we're going to join somewhere else and they just lost our business they said OK. I wonder if their managers knew that they turned away business, paying customers, If that would be okay with them. I mean, they're front desk workers, not the owners of the corporation. I'm pretty sure the corporation of YMCA Does not condone their employees turning away paying customers. I will never go to this facility again. The 2 ladies were, we're rude at the front desk and basically yelled at my mother. If I could give this less than one star, I would.

I am so lucky to have found this gym. As a snowbird from Virginia — and a senior at age 75 — it was important to find a gym with knowledgeable and professional instructors who maintain a fast and challenging pace, especially for those of us who have exercised and stayed in shape throughout our adult life. With various levels to choose from, I have found my “dream” gym.

Why does a senior citizen have to pay 45.00 a month ?
A 30 year old pays 20.00
I don’t get it…
Why isn’t there discount for seniors?
You got to be kidding
Now the cost is 52.00 a month !!
You got to be kidding…
Evos
Is 9.99 a month

Be careful with this daycare/aftercare. My daughter went to this place for almost two months and it was my biggest regret. They don't take care of the children when they go to the park. The providers take the children to Potter Public Park and the children are together with children who are not part of the program and the providers have no control over the children. My daughter was left alone in the public park. She had two teachers who were supposed to be watching her. Thank GOD nothing bad happened to her! But please take care of your children and do not trust this school!

Fantastic family of friends here 👯♀️💕Rain or shine, CoreSRQ, which is the Y again, is here for us to work out with weights & cardio. Take Tai Chi & QiGong classes for better balance & bone density. I've started taking yoga too and LOVE IT here! It's more than a gym because your dues help after school, swim lessons and day care programs. 💪🏽😀CORE SRQ / Sarasota YMCA supports veterans, families & our community is SO MANY WAYS! ❤️ TY!!!

A great gym with something for everyone and lots of classes. Well cared for and super clean. But the best of all for our family is the child care- without them we would not be able to utilize any of it! The staff in the child care are amazingly accommodating and kind, our toddler looks forward to going and doesn’t like to leave. It’s truly because of the child care availability and quality that I know we can be lifetime fit members.

I have been going to this gym for a few years now and I really love it. The childcare they have at this location is also really great. My 9 month old is always well cared for and they play with her and always kind and caring! My 9 year old also attends summer camp here and I cannot say enough good things about the summer program. Its filled with activates and keeps her active all summer long. Highly recommend this gym!

This place is disgustingly smelly, dirty and the staff is incredibly rude. The equipment is falling apart and people tell me an infection went viral here and they covered it up. Poor management. Overall bad place with bad people.
