Peak Fitness & Rehab is your ultimate destination for health and wellness. We help clients move better, feel better, and live better. We offer a variety of services provided by physical therapists, certified strength and conditioning specialists, certified personal trainers, and certified pilates instructors. We have recently enlarged our studio so that we may continue to help more individuals achieve their personal health and fitness goals in a safe and nurturing environment. Our services included Pilates, Personal Training, Golf Fitness, and Lifestyle Nutrition. We offer private and semi-private training as well as small group classes and reformer classes. After a year and a half of chronic lower back pain, and after trying injections, massage, yoga, topical applications, etc., I was exasperated. If I tried to play golf, my back went "out". If my dog yanked on the leash, my back would go out. And on and on. When my back went out, I would be bent over and shuffle along in agony like an old man in his 90's. It was frustrating and depressing. Luckily, I found my way to Peak Fitness and Rehab about 2 months ago, and into the caring expertise of Dave and Desiree Challice. I've worked with them twice a week in their perfect fitness studio in Palm Coast. Through their careful research of my physical history (4 meniscus operations, a hip replacement, and sundry other ailments...), including checking my MRI and X-ray results, and noting my inability to take Nsaids due to my ongoing Xarelto medication, they developed a plan for me. I work with Desiree on Mondays, doing Pilates. And I work with Dave on Thursdays doing golf focused strength training. Since starting at Peak Fitness, I'm now playing golf 5 days a week! Their one on one attention and passion for seeing their patients progress has given me my life back! Now, if only they could teach me to putt a little better...

What I prefer about going to Peak Fitness is the individual attention you get versus other physical therapy places I’ve been too. They treat you and you alone so you get a full and complete workout every time you go. I highly recommend them.

Peak Fitness gave me the professional and personal care to get me back into shape. They knew the right exercises to improve my condition and personalized the experience for my success. I had 8 weeks of physical therapy for a knee injury and I can not say enough positive things about Peak Fitness. The therapist, Dave ,was knowledgeable, professional, patient! I was the only person Dave saw for the entire appointment.. He was not shuffling between patients. The environment is immaculate, friendly and the equipment amazing.. Great experience and I can walk up and down stairs again without pain. HIGHLY recommend!!

If you’ve been to one or more of the busy physical therapy practices in Palm Coast and have been disappointed with a low level of personal attention at a time when you needed it most, you might want to give Peak Fitness and Rehab on Old Kings Road North a try. I’ve been very pleased with the PT services provided by Dave and Desiree Challice, practice owners. This husband and wife team is focused on providing comprehensive, one-on-one physical therapy services to their clients in a pleasant, uncrowded environment. Your needs will be thoroughly and continually assessed, and you will receive the uninterrupted attention of your therapist for your entire session. They now accept Medicare, another big plus. I was having knee issues and needed help with strength training. The trainers were able to design a program that would not injure my knees further, but allow me to increase my strength. After just a few weeks, we had to switch to Zoom training. There was no interruption in my training, and after just 4 weeks my knees were significantly improved! Everyone was very professional, flexible and knowledgable. And, the facility is extremely clean and well maintained. I highly recommend Peak Fitness for any level of fitness training or rehab therapy you may need.

I knew the minute that I walked into Peak Fitness that it was the perfect environment for me to achieve the healthy lifestyle I was seeking. Because I have some physical limitations, Desiree's physical therapy background assured me that I would be trained at the appropriate level for my size and condition. Peak Fitness was the perfect solution for help with my ever increasing arthritis discomfort. Starting their Balanced Habits program has reminded how important measuring your food is and keeping a food journal. Through their program I have been able to lose weight but more importantly it has educated me, with their guidance, through to a healthier lifestyle change. Their weight training classes have put me in touch with muscle groups I forgot I had! My body feels lighter and healthier. I’m sleeping better and have energy that’s lasting throughout the day.

I joined Peak Fitness in December of 2017 and have been thrilled with the improvement in my strength and flexibility. I had been injured in an auto accident a few years ago and was hesitant about reinjuring myself. Dave, Desiree and Robin guided me through the next six months with strength training and Pilates. I am now much stronger and can hit the golf ball further than ever before (just a little extra bonus!). They are extremely knowledgeable and I felt completely comfortable with all of the training sessions. I am not living in the area this summer, but I look forward to returning to Peak Fitness in the fall. I can't recommend them enough for someone who wants to become stronger and healthier!

Despite having multiple rounds of physical therapy for my muscular disease and knee replacement, my muscles, especially my legs and hips, remained weak. After spending the day at Disney World and ending up in a wheelchair after only a few hours, I was determined to find a way to change things.
I looked for physical fitness trainers online and spoke to a few. None gave me the answers I was looking for. I reluctantly looked up physical therapy, although I didn’t have a lot of confidence this was the answer. I spotted Peak Fitness. I was impressed that they had physical therapy and fitness training in the same house. After speaking to Desiree and hearing what I hoped would be the answer I was looking for, I went in to meet them and sign up.
I spoke with Dave, explained what I was looking for and he was positively confident he could make a difference for me. I decided to take a chance and signed up for 3 months. Any reservations I hard were dispelled with my first training class. Dave knew exactly how get my muscles retrained to work properly, then proceeded to make them stronger.
Each class improved my ability to go further and longer. The Pilates helped stretch out my muscles and increased my core strength. At the 2 month mark, I went to Kennedy Space Center and lasted 10 hours on my feet, no cane, no wheelchair, just deliciously tired. My endurance has improved so much I still can’t believe it. My muscles hurt less and are so much stronger I no longer need help lifting or doing any of the many chores around the house.
Having the combined knowledge of fitness and physical therapy gave me the answers my body needed to get better. I now work out at home 6 days a week and feel better than ever. There is no question that Peak Fitness will work for you. The Peak Fitness team will tailor the program for your needs and you will enjoy success!

I highly recommend Peak Performance & Rehab for anyone who would like to experience the best quality of life possible for their age and physical abilities!! Over a year ago, I had friends who recommended Desiree to me. I had back issues that prohibited me from taking normal exercise classes, and my work in the fitness center on the equipment was limited. I could do very little work on my core without pain, which was what my body really needed. Although I was not over weight, I struggled with knowing how to plan meals so that my diet was balanced and healthy. In January 2016, I sign up for the four week course "Take Down Challenge" that Dave and Desiree offered, and worked under their guidance on meal planning and implementing a regular exercise routine. At the end of the month, I had more energy and felt better than I had in years. The next month I began private Palates lessons with Desiree and that added a whole new dimension to my physical health. I have a strong core, and no longer have back pain. If for any reason I experience any kind of pain, Desiree will work with me to address it , and like magic it disappears. The greatest benefit for me is that almost 18 months later I continue to live in that healthy manner. The changes that I have made were informed, guided and have been long lasting. Thank you Dave and Desiree for the healthy life that I enjoy today! What a gift!

Last fall I wanted to try Pilates and Peak Fitness was the only facility with Pilates equipment. As soon as I met and spoke with Desiree I knew this was the place for me. Started with private Pilate workouts and now I'm with a partner. I feel better both physically and mentally. She makes me want to come and workout which for me is huge! I started private Pilates lessons with Desiree as a complete beginner a year ago. What a difference working with a trainer makes! As a physical therapist she knows how to properly train me to avoid my neck, shoulder and knee issues. And she can rehabilitate them when they're sore. In May I developed lower back pain for the first time, after 3 weeks of travel and bad mattresses. Thanks to Desiree and Pilates, I was pain free in a week. Pilates with Desiree is an ongoing benefit. Her knowledge as a physical therapist enhances the Pilates workout. Also, it is the only equipment based Pilates available in Palm Coast. I have trained with Desiree for years and consider it the cornerstone of my life fitness. In the last six months, I have started training with Dave and have added fifty yards to my drives! What else is there to say: he understands fitness and golf!! He listens to the end goal and stays focused on helping you meet your personal objectives. Both Desiree and Dave care about the long-term fitness and health of their clients. It is true concierge fitness.

Peak Fitness & Rehab is the place to go if you are serious about changing your lifestyle to get healthy. The classes are small which gives Dave and Desiree the chance to work with you individually on the rotations. They are always looking out for proper form and help you with correcting body positions when needed. The classes are well structured to help you lose weight, lose inches and gain muscle. I would highly recommend Peak Fitness and Rehab not only for the awesome classes but for private physical therapy also. I have suffered from intense back pain for three years. After one week at Peak my pain has gone down tremendously. Best decision I ever made was to call Peak Fitness & Rehab.
