This is a great service provided by Back In Motion. Katy gives you one on one guidance. She understands each person's limits and guides the exercise to that point. I have been going since August, 2025 and I am averaging a five pound weight loss each month. An added success is that my clothes are getting bigger and my wedding band is almost coming off my finger. Weight training is not my favorite think, but the results are well worth the effort. All this is done in a fun and friendly atmosphere which is really appreciated. I often got intimidated in Y's or Planet Fitness. At Back in Motion everyone is there to get you healthy in a very accepting environment. My form may not be perfect, but I am indeed getting results.

I’m a 62 year-old female. I was struggling with accountability and knowing which exercises I should be doing and not doing for my fitness. I originally came here because I was dealing with an injury but now I’m doing fitness training with their coaches. What I really like and enjoy about these workouts is that they are tailored to my individual wants and needs and they are safe. It’s not like going to a big box gym with a bunch of Uneducated trainers. Here at back in motion, everyone has a bachelors degree and they understand how to give you a great workout but without injuring yourself. If you’re looking for a personal trainer or a gym in the Fort Myers area, this is your place.

Love this place! Totally worth your time and money with 1 hour sessions. I can fit it into my day with an early session. Katy and her team push you to make you better but in a friendly way not like a drill sergeants! A lot of one on one time and flexible schedules. I just began my journey because I have Oteoperosis at 52 and to build my bones stronger. In 6 weeks I feel stronger and more motivated in my day and have also lost a little weight. Very happy more to do!

I started training with Liz after not having been to a gym in many years. In just one month I can see and feel a big difference already. Coach Katy and Coach Liz are both amazing trainers. They have so much in-depth knowledge of muscular structure and nutrition and above all they are great teachers. They are joyful and kind and always happy to be with their clients. I have been working out with them since August and have lost a lot of “fat” weight but also I have gained a lot of “muscle” weight AND I feel better than I ever have!

Discovering Back In Motion and my Coach Daniela has been the best thing I could have done for my health.
During weight loss I had lost more muscle than fat and was diagnosed with osteopenia. I knew it was time to get serious however I was hesitant since I have never been a workout/gym person.
Daniela has been awesome! She individualizes each session to help me meet my goals while encouraging me to do my best increasing weight and reps. I have been training at Back In Motion for just over six months. When I started, I was recovering from an autoimmune disease which left me with both weak bones and muscles. Now, thanks to my very dedicated coach and trainer, Liz Wetmore, I have gained a significant amount of muscle, as well as energy.

As a physician we know the importance of exercise for overall health, and we were searching for a place that would challenge us physically and mentally. We chose "Back in Motion"because the staff is exceptionally well trained, the personal training is very individualized, and the group is no more than 2 or 3 total being trained. I have also seen the staff interact with others who have neuromuscular or orthopedic issues and they are treated with respect and dignity with tremendous caring in their training as well. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend both the fitness group as well as the doctors of physical therapy, they are great!

Dr. Scott Gray, DPT, Brandon (personal trainer), Ashley, and the whole team have helped me regain my strength and aerobic capacity and recover more fully from a bad bicycling injury that left me with muscle imbalances I didn't even know about. Training here has been a terrific experience. I work with coach Chad and he is very knowledgeable and professional. Coming to back in motion I was able to lower my cholesterol and get more energy throughout the day. At 73 years old I was able to deadlift 100 lbs and get lots of compliments.

My son who is a fitness fanatic, actually found this particular Back in Motion facility for me and recommended that I call Chad to set up an introductory workout. That initial session led to my signing up for a 6 month program. My goals? To be stronger, fitter and more toned. So far it’s been great working with both Chad and Brandon. They know how to tailor each workout to assist me in attaining my goals. They also focus on form and your heart rate etc. to ensure that your body is not at risk. I don’t like working out but I look forward to each and every session at Back in Motion. They have also been able to accommodate any schedule changes that I need because life happens! I had joint pain in so many areas of my body and now I’m lifting heavy weights! Never thought I’d be back to normal like this. Physical therapists: Dr. Scott and Dr. James did an amazing job addressing the root cause of my issues and fixed them. Because of the chronic condition I had (Lyme disease), it felt impossible to find a team to properly treat me for long term success, but I found it here. James and Scott were great communicators and kept everything positive the whole time. They kept it real with me and even taught me how to push past my mental barriers that were holding me back. Amazing people and I highly recommend.
Now I just see the personal trainers Chad and Brandon. Again, both amazing people that have changed my life and got me in shape. Best trainers I’ve been to.
Altogether, back in motion has changed my life. They are very professional and genuinely communicate with you. 10/10 recommend

This place is unlike any other athletic facilities because they have medical providers overseeing my workouts in addition to my strength coaches. I highly recommend Coach Chad at BIM Fitness as a personal trainer.
I started his program after finishing BIM SSP for back and shoulder physical therapy with Dr. Andrew Kupper (I highly recommend him for PT).
Coach Chad tailored my training to meet my goals and PT conditions, plus created a home exercise schedule for me so that I can maintain my progress and momentum throughout the week.
After just the first few sessions my strength and flexibility noticeably improved. They are continuing to improve each week, and I also have quite a bit more energy.
Coach Chad is very easy to work with and very encouraging, all the while able to assess and change up the exercises to keep me at a good challenge. Because of him I am able to stick to a regimen that benefits my health and fits my busy schedule.
I initially signed up for introductory sessions after a webinar presented by Ashley Gray, and have opted to continue my training with Coach Chad.

I started my journey with Dr, Scott Gray after suffering a debilitating lower back injury. The pain was at such a level it was greatly effecting my quality of life and ability to do everyday activity. After my initial analysis with Dr. Gray he worked up a plan to strengthen my problem areas and relieving my pain substantially. After a required surgery I continued my rehabilitation with a personal trainer at Back In Motion in Fort Myers who correlated a program with Dr. Gray to feel the best I have in 20+ years. I highly recommend all the services BIM has to offer. They wrote me programs that took in consideration my back surgery to ensure that I did not injure it again but strengthen it.

I had frozen shoulder and back in motion did a wonderful job and fixing my frozen shoulder, I was told I needed surgery by three orthopedic surgeons Dr Gray assured me that they could fix my shoulder with therapy and they were right I also tried a couple other physical therapy places they couldn't compare to the Hands-On treatment and therapy I received at back in motion. They are very knowledgeable in their treatment they know what they are doing and their staff is very caring and professional I wouldn't consider ever going to another physical therapy place.

Back In Motion has been a great experience for me to achieve my ideal health. They offer personal training and group training that is specific to all of your health needs unlike other gyms. The other great thing is that all their trainers have a bachelors degree and have high level certifications. Thus, you know that you are going to be in good hands and not get hurt. My experiences with Back in Motion Fitness and Performance has been very helpful and professional. I went to Dr. Scott Gray for Physical Therapy pertaining to a 20 year old knee injury. After 2 surgeries were performed by a Chief Orthopedic Surgeon in NYC followed by 3 years of physical therapy I was informed that I would not be able to run again.
I was advised to have a knee replacement but decided to get a new evaluation. After working with Dr. Scott I regained the strength I needed to be able to run without pain. The personal attention and knowledge I received was exactly what I needed. I continue to train with BIM for
over a year now and have made great progress.

I started BIM in March just before the quarantine. Dr Gray gave a group presentation and extolled the virtues of their fitness program. After an initial assessment I started a one on one training program with the highly qualified personal trainer, Woolly. Soon we went to virtual training sessions in my home. With a minimum of equipment needed, which BIM provided at cost to me, my road to success started. Not only can I move more freely, alleviating the need for shoulder surgery, my body overall is more limber.
At 71 years old my body fat has been reduced greatly, I have not gained any Covid weight and I have found an auxiliary family with the BIM support staff. I got confident enough with their disinfecting regime that I started going to their in-house gym where I was usually the only one there at the time. I can’t speak highly enough of my experience with BIM.
As an adjunct, Dr Gray is now treating my hip arthritis
with the intention of preserving what’s there and not having to have hip surgery in the future.

I’m an active female in my late 50s. I had an unfortunate incident and took quite a blow to my left shoulder that resulted in a painful frozen shoulder. I’ve benefited well from his treatment and decided to further my rehab by signing up for his physical fitness training. I just completed my first year working with his personal training department, and I can proudly say that my shoulder is 100% normal, including a return to full range of motion. As I mentioned, I am active so I do push the envelope on my activity level, and as a result recently incurred a meniscus tear and a quad tendon injury. Again through Dr. Gray’s expertise and an excellent trainer, Woolly Soufrance, I was able to continue a fitness program while I rehabilitating my knee. I am now happily back to my daily activities. As I will be 60 in October, I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I would not be at my current fitness level without the help, expertise, professionalism and creative training that Back In Motion has provided.
Anyone with an online certification, can prepare a workout program, but not anyone can write a personalized, safe, guided program like the folks at Back In Motion.

This place is amazing and is the BEST personal training studio in Fort Myers. They are very thorough to ensure I'm doing the exercises correctly but also safely. They also hold me accountable and give me a practical approach of addressing my nutrition.
Not only do they offer personal training, they also train athletes with sports performance training. I cant recommend this place enough.

I trained with the personal trainer, Woolly at BIM Fitness. He is not a basic personal trainer like at other gyms. He is very knowledgeable and he takes the time to develop your program based on your needs and goals! I'm so thankful that I found BIM Fitness & Performance!
