I'm 57 (not skinny) and had severe lower back and SI joint issues for years. I was getting SI joint injections regularly for the past 3 years until a friend recommended I try Pilates with Leigh. I have been taking classes 2 times per week with Leigh for a few months, and my back/hips are pain free. Pilates and Leigh have been a life changer for me! I'm still a beginner in Pilates , but Leigh's encouragement makes me excited to go to class. I may even have some of those elusive core muscles now.

Leigh’s studio is fantastic! I searched for a classic Pilates studio when I moved here & feel so fortunate that I found it. Leigh pays close attention to your form & always gives me a great workout. After reinjuring my lower back and sciatica, I decided to pursue a different healing solution: I attended 2 Pilates classes at Pilates with Leigh's studio and worked with trainer - Janice L. After two 1 hour lessons over 2 days, I was amazed! By squeezing and focusing on my core my lower back pain stretching all the way down the outside of my leg subsided. I started Pilates a year ago not because I wanted to but because I had to. My doctor recommended it for my osteoporosis. One year later my bone density has improved 11%. And that is without medication! I can honestly say that I now look forward to my Pilates classes with Leigh. She knows all of her students’ strengths and weaknesses and teaches accordingly. I have being taking Pilates classes with Leigh for over 15 years. She is a phenomenal instructor and always keeps the classes interesting by changing the routines and exercises. Absolutely the best workouts I have ever done. I have been doing Leigh’s classes for several years now and I am nearly 70 and have actually gained bone density in the past few years. Leigh’s classes pay attention to all areas of your body so you really get a complete workout. The studio is exceptionally clean and well laid out with the latest equipment. Leigh’s classes are small so she is able to give every student attention and focus on individual needs. Pilates is the highlight of my week and has helped me to maintain a healthy body and spirit. I wish I could give Leigh a 10!

I love this studio so much!! A year after giving birth to my baby I decided to give Pilates a try, I’ve read about so many benefits online and couldn't resist at least trying it out through Leigh’s intro session. I couldn’t believe how good I felt physically and mentally during my Pilates workout and even after when I left the class. I’ve had the pleasure of trying out a class with all three instructors Leigh, Hannah, and Amy and can truly say they all are amazing and offer their own little twist which I appreciate so much. All of the instructors even switch up the workouts so it doesn’t feel like we are doing the same flow every time. If you are on the fence to try out Pilates or not or are looking for a truly good atmosphere & clean studio I highly suggest giving it a try here!!

I have been doing Pilates for years and Leigh’s classes are by far my favorite. She is very knowledgeable about proper form, and extremely attentive with her instruction and guidance. Her classes are challenging yet not strenuous. She also includes great variety in her classes so that you are never doing the same routine, even if some movements may be familiar. The Pilates equipment in her studio is all new top of line high quality equipment, including springboards, jump boards, chairs, and also bosu balls, rings, balls, etc. I absolutely love her classes and have never felt better. My posture is better, I feel stronger, and the aches and pains in my hip and knee have both gone away. I love my classes with Leigh and highly recommend them to anyone wanting to feel better and stronger.

Great workout for men, too. I was tired of getting injured doing circuit training and lifting heavy weights after I turned 50. I've been searching for something that would be challenging without the risk of injury and Pilates has been the perfect thing, and this studio is fantastic. Leigh has been training for over a decade and her other instructors show the same level of attention and caring as she does. I'm more often the only male in the class but I've never felt out of place there. Great vibe and a killer workout.

I’ve been going to Pilates with Leigh for more than 3yrs. I love everything about Pilates and appreciate the care and attention Leigh gives each person in the class. This can be a challenge in a group class, but, Leigh truly does “keep an eye on each of us.” She is quick to offer encouragement and an alternative if a move/exercise presents a challenge as you progress. As I am a “senior”, the gentle restorative class is perfect for me. I have definitely strengthened my core and improved my balance with Pilates. I love it and always feel better after attending Leigh’s classes.

Been in best shape of my entire life …i never really started exercising till my 30’s and had trainer at lifestyle gym tell me I needed to work on core strength & started working out with Leigh who was their pilates instructor. That was in 2004…
I can tell you it is a whole body workout. Believe most people think pilates is about core strength but is this and so much more!!!
I travel for work to NZ and do pilates there and for their new clients they do an initial evaluation …from Auckland thru Hamilton & Wellington studios ….because of Pilates with Leigh, ALL of these NZ instructors are impressed with my strength, agility & form…

I didn't know much about Pilates before trying a class at Leigh's studio. The workouts are fast-paced and fun! She coordinates a different workout each class that covers all the body needs to become strong and flexible. Leigh is experienced enough to adjust exercises for individuals who have physical issues, major ones or minor ones. It is the quickest hour of exercise and I look forward to it each week.

Leigh is amazing. I have scoliosis and other kinds of exercise kept messing up my back. Leigh is determined to help me strengthen and fix my back and it's working.
