Had to cancel my account after finding out that I was charged a late fee for a card thats being getting taken out since 09/2024. After being charged the first time I updated the card on file 3 DAYS before the payment was set to bill. 3 days after the bill was due I still got charged a late fee even after updating and there’s no way I can get a refund/reimbursed. Absolutely disgusting planet fitness isn’t even worth $50 a month.

The most disgusting locker room of any PF I have ever been to. I have visited this gym on 3 separate occasions so my sentiment is not biased as I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. To be in the Altamonte area is insane and they have the worst amenities of any CFL location. I will not be returning to this location and if you value cleanliness you wouldn’t either.

Really happy with my experience here. The staff was great and so helpful signing me up. The facility is clean and straightforward, the machines are kept well and I never experienced horrible crowds. I was also able to cancel without any hassle, and I only did so because I’m moving away where there are no locations. Otherwise, I’d definitely stay a member. The only thing I wish this location had is a red light therapy machine in the black card spa. I could never easily make it to the Apopka location to try it and meanwhile I never saw anyone use the tanning beds. Overall, five stars for great staff and a great facility!

I came in to sign up and become a member, During the sign-up process, I had to use the restroom really bad and I asked to use the restroom and they told me that I could not until I became a Full member, I stood there dancing around until I couldn’t take it anymore and I had to leave the two girls at the desk were very rude and disrespectful and I believe that I was very much stereotype because they did not think I was sincere about joining. do not come here if you expect fair treatment and not to be judged do not I repeat do not come here the two girls at the desk one was just I believe and I forget the other name but she was a manager I will repeat worst experience ever will not be joining.

I just joined and I am very impressed. All of the machines are basically brand new and they have doubles of most machines, so you’re not having to wait to use them. The front desk staff is always very friendly and they greet every single person who comes and goes from the gym. This is in contrast to other gyms that are staffed with individuals who are way too busy playing with their phones to even look up and acknowledge the guest.
Jessica is the individual who gave me a tour of the gym and signed me up. She was very kind and knowledgeable — she answered every single question that I had.
The entire gym and even the locker rooms are very clean. Plenty of cardio machines — an all around great gym.

It is a great gym, but I suggest that management implement NO PICTURE TAKING OR VIDEO RECORDING in the gym (Locker room, most specifically), especially when people around you or inside the camera frame; this protects everyone’s privacy. Most people just don't care and so disrespectful of others privacy.

I've gone to this gym on and off for the past 10 years and have always considered it a whole in the wall gym. Which I've preferred most of my life. The past months have made me looking at other gym options! Only a few employees clean and half the cardio machines are broken. Some employees are so lazy they don't even go around to turn treadmills on. Honestly if I was a boss I'd fire most of them! I love this gym but owners need to upgrade the whole gym, employees need to actually work and the manager need to enforce company policies!

This gym is actually perfect for my needs. It’s open 24hrs through the days I work which is great for me so I can actually get a good workout before going to work. It’s clean and organized unlike other gyms I’ve been to and the staff actually is helpful unlike other gyms where the staff is more concerned and busy on their cellphones than greeting their members.

I recently took a month off from this location only because, The stairmaster didn’t have a plug. I finally came back tonight, so I can use the stairmaster thinking they would have the issue under control, They still have the stairmaster out of order. Smh. Now I’m forced to drive to Apopka gym even though that gym is way better. Come on y’all, y’all have to do better.

I stopped by the gym today! 9/18/24 and I noticed they still haven’t fix this issue. What’s going on here. This is starting to be annoying

The staff is always nice here. No complaints there. However they recently switched the ellipticals at this location and I can't stand them. It was one of the main reasons I prefer this location. The new machines are too large and uncomfortable....especially
where they are supposed to hold your feet.
They do not position correctly for an elliptical workout. I will be canceling my membership.

I recently moved to Altamonte Springs and I found this Planet Fitness near me. My expectations weren't too high so I headed to the facility to check them out. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff (all of them) and the cleanliness of the space as well as the great variety and condition of the equipment. You should try the massage chairs, it is worth the membership cost alone. I signed up and I go 3 to 5 times a week. This is my new happy place. Highly recommended.

Horrible! I'm a traveler visiting different locations every week. This was one of the worst. I staff young lady today. She wasn't friendly nor excited to be there and It's located on the upper level to an old shopping center. You can take steps or the elevator. Old equipment. I left tanning early as I didn't trust it. No ultimate body machine. The workout area, including the 2 massage chairs is in ONE room. It's small, crowded and loud. Very old and rundown. You have a step to climb the row of elliptical machine and another step up to the old creaking treadmill-which I used for just a few minutes. I was so uncomfortable there I thought ok I'll just use a massage chair/bed and leave. The ONLY option is 1 of 2 coin massage chairs. Only quiet privacy is low corner area by entrance sectioned off in the room for the chairs. It wasn't private nor quiet nor relaxing. The locker room area is creepy. You walk down 1 hallway. Down the hallway has 3 old tanning beds. Then turn left for men's locker room or continue forward to women's locker room. Very odd set up in the entire place. Again, as a full time traveler, I visit different planet fitness locations weekly. This was #1 or #2 as worst location. Best to drive another 10/15 min for a nicer location. Horrible!

Compared to LA Fitness, Planet Fitness is better in: PRICE! Cleanliness (of facility, and emphasis on customers cleaning after themselves, on equipment) Equipment (New and always working well) Friendliness of staff (almost always greet you when entering and leaving), seldom overcrowded where you have to wait long for machine... Overall, much better then LAFitness! (We left Planet Fitness after 5 yrs for LA Fitness, came back a yr. later!) LA Fitness places no emphasis on people wiping down machines after use, and has very FEW cleaning stations for people, located at front and back of gym mainly. You NEVER see people wiping machines after using; at Planet Fitness you seldom see people NOT wiping machines after using! LA...is much more expensive $ and not as friendly. Equipment basically same quality as Planet Fitness. Music played is plenty loud, good, and plenty of cardio and TV's for viewing pleasure!

The staff is very friendly and the gym itself is clean, but the locker room bathrooms and showers are an entirely different story. The bathrooms are frequently out of hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. The showers are not cleaned for DAYS. The same hair is the the drains for almost a week. There are not enough bottles of sanitizer for the number of showers and most bottles are almost empty every day. The disabled shower is out of order for days pretty much every other week. If you can, use a different club in the area.

I love that people just don't bother you. Folks are there to workout, not socialize. It means that I very rarely have to wait for a piece of equipment.

There is an excellent variety of equipment and everything is in tip top shape. There are plenty of free weights available and multiple Smith machines.

The group workouts are challenging and fun. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and non-judgmental.

Locker room is good and roomy. Showers are so-so but clean, which is the important thing.

I've been going here for a well over a year and the experience has been decent at best. The VERY small and during peak hours gets very cramped. It's dark and almost dreary looking inside, very out of date. Most machines work as expected and are kept in good order with the occasional bench/pad being cracked IE the preacher curl machine. locker rooms are kept clean but again very outdated. Also seeing nails coming in from the ceiling isn't the most appealing. Never had any issues with staff or people who go here and for sure not a bad gym but could really use a facelift appearance wise or maybe a new location in Altamonte that's bigger.

This is my first time to this location. My Google maps brought me to the back side which has a small awning. I have a spinal cord injury and use a walker to walk. Even a few steps is difficult for me. I called the front desk to see which entrance is closer. The manager told me both entrances are equal. After walking down a hallway I saw that the spots in the front of the building were closer. To the average person that 40 feet is nothing. For me it's difficult.
When I go to a new planet fitness location I check the ADA shower Before I workout because some are not in working order. I looked in the ADA shower and saw the hand held shower head with the hose on the ground, Not attached to the wall. I asked the manager when the ADA shower will be fixed. While he is chewing on a bar looking the other way he turns and said can I repete that.
There is a difference between not hearing and not wanting to hear.
I Definitely will not be back to this location.
