I’ve been coming to this gym for 5 years now. Today is the first time I’ve been told that I can’t wear my crocs in the gym. After driving here from 30 minutes away the rude little girl in the front with short black hair told me I couldn’t come in and not even in a nice way ! I’ve been wearing crocs to the gym everyday since I enrolled here and I think it’s ridiculous that all of a sudden I can’t wear them when they are close toed. No other gym does this ! Take your money elsewhere.

I’ve been a Planet Fitness member for two years and love the Matrix equipment at most locations—it’s smooth and reliable for tracking progress. That said, this franchise uses Life Fitness machines, which feel much heavier overall. For example, my usual 120 lbs on Matrix now requires dropping by half (to about 60 lbs) to match the effort, likely due to differences in pulleys and friction. It makes workouts feel inconsistent and harder to gauge.
The judgment-free atmosphere is fantastic, but adding simple weight conversion guides (e.g., Matrix 120 ≈ Life 60) would go a long way. Switching to Matrix like other PF spots could elevate it further. Solid gym overall—hoping for those tweaks!

Best gym I’ve been to by far and I’ve been to dozens. As a retired pro bodybuilder, I was impressed by their courtesy, professionalism, and friendliness: from Jorge the manger and Sam the asst mgr to Elijah the shift lead and Charlie the opener. In any business, the people are its greatest asset or lability, and these guys are a treasure. Charlie especially I the kindest person I have ever known, and he inspires me to give my best, just as he does every day. They all deserve a raise and a promotion IMHO.

I switched from Youfit to this gym because I was told that the employees were nicer. Turns out that one of the managers asked me not to take videos of myself more pictures because people were feeling uncomfortable that they may be coming out in the videos. I totally understand that it's company policies that we shouldn't record people without their consent, however I am not recording in the bathrooms nor anywhere where it is private. Company policies are not in the state of Florida I am not doing anything wrong. Just because I am filming my progress doesn't mean that some young guy can come and ruin it for me if I feel good about myself. Seems like I'm going to have to find a gym that is actually worthy of having me. It will probably be a private gym. That's what happens when you give positions to younger people. Totally different mindset. They have this little "clique" like a mafia and they all stick together gossiping. What they need to do is keep the machines cleaner. I had to ask the girl at the front to have someone clean up the machines because there was paper towelsall over the place. And isn't it funny that she was with him when he actually walked out to scold me the way that he tried to. He wasn't really rude, but I did tell him that the company policies and that the Florida statutes contradict one another to a certain extent. I don't need anyone watching over my back. Especially if I am not doing anything wrong.

Honestly, I’ve been to Planet Fitness locations all over the country, and this one is by far the most professional, friendly, and genuinely customer-oriented place I’ve stepped into. Every time I walk in, no matter what kind of day I’m having, Destiny’s presence just turns it all around. And Marquez is right there as well, going above and beyond to make everyone feel not just comfortable, but like family. You walk in, they greet you with a smile and a genuine “how are you doing?” and they truly make sure all your needs are met. It makes a world of difference.

Hello. There’s a certain employee of yours working today on labor day 09-01-2025 at 4:40pm who was rude & explain to us that my husband who’s the black card member can use the Massage chairs but not his guest “me” but we are a couple. We go to different Planet fitness locations and we used the Spa services without any issues. We understand if it’s on the “contract” which we get but he could’ve have been nice and flexible about it. He seemed bothered maybe by not having Labor day off? which is understandable. But that’s not a way to treat your loyal customers. We been going to this location for the last 6 years and had no problems with it until now. Unfair to us…. He embarrassed us infront of people. Straighten up your employees & train them all over again .. so this wouldn’t happen to anyone else. We’re going to stop going to this location due to this.

This is my go to exercise place and it for the most part it is fine, however, there are some things that might need to be taken care of. The equipment tends to be broken and it takes some time for it to get fixed. Also, the water fountains push out warm water. Finally, there is a new employee who is not like the others (all of the other employees greet with a smile, are welcoming etc) however this gentleman sits far from the desk and appears to always be watching a movie or videos on his phone.

I gave it three stars for one reason. During the summer and I understand, when the marketing campaign kicks in, and this is the way you advertise or trying get parents to sign up by allowing there kids ages 14-19 to workout free, I understand but I feel people that are paying are getting robbed during this time. Let me tell you why because when I go workout, I go to workout no BS and unfortunately some 90% of the teenagers don't feel that way. I know I am not the only one that feels this way. I just have the balls to say it, but I do understand and consider myself a very compassionate person. Other than that I think the place is great for working out.

Honestly this Planet Fitness location is one of the most inclusive and accepting gyms I have been to.
I get extremely self conscious and insecure about going to the gym. Being a 300 lbs woman is not an easy life to live. I get discriminated and ridiculed a lot as it is and then to put myself in an environment where people are known to be judgmental is very stressful both physically and emotionally. Luckily Planet Fitness has strict policies against gymtimidation and ensures their locations are judgment free zones. This makes me feel really safe knowing there is a standard for how people should be treating each other especially in a place where one can be easily mistreated. But the reason I love this particular Planet Fitness is because of their workers.. Well one in particular..
Armeen. He always greets me with the biggest smile and always tries to make conversation with me. I sometimes see him staring too but not in a judgy way but more like he appreciates and accepts me for who I am. It honestly encourages me to go to the gym more often just so l can see Armeen. He is kind of cute too. I hope he doesn't see this!.. Or maybe I hope he does

With my local Planet Fitness in being closed for maintenance, I decided to trek up to the Cutler Bay location being that it’s the next closest to where I live.

From my first day here, Armeen has been nothing but courteous, helpful, and well-versed in how to effectively and safely utilize the equipment. The Cutler Bay location has a significant amount of equipment that is not yet available at my local Planet Fitness, and Armeen didn’t hesitate to show me around and demonstrate how the equipment works.

Staff is carrying this gym, planet fitness may not have the most machines but I always see Marquez cleaning up everything, also he’s a super chill guy and makes coming here that much more welcoming
