We are travelers and have been coming here off and on for the past month or so. The lifting area of the gym itself is very clean and maintained. We have enjoyed its proximity to our rental.

However those bathrooms are disgusting. We have seen worse mold, hair and razors on the floor of any bathroom. Those shower curtains must get cleaned once a month if that. Fire need of ventilation.

I`m thankful that they finally got the ceiling repaired, there was a lot of water coming in through the ceiling. Some great exercise machines that hit three muscle groups in one workout! Plus, they have a person to wipe down the equipment. I don't have time to do it as I work as a Home Health Aide, I`m there for 20 minutes for a power workout, then on to work!

I had an issue with my account with billing (from my own doing). I spoke with a young lady who gave me advice and helped me as much as she could and told me to contact the club manager, Zach. I finally was able to get some time away from my desk and get in touch with Zach and he was absolutely amazing!! He was attentive and empathetic and without a doubt, understood my situation and did not hesitate to help and solve the issues and did just that! Nobody judges me, or gives me that look you get at other gyms when you rather be on the treadmill vs weight lifting. A lot of the other gyms I've been a part of have the stereotype that guys should be building the chest and arms and leave the walking to the ladies. But since my accident, it's more beneficial to stick to what I can handle and at planet fitness, my fellow members smile and ask me how I'm doing, not critisize my workout!

Five stars because they are polite, the gym is clean, and the clientele are helpful if you need to know how to work a piece of equipment. Everyone gives you your space. So I see the tv screen and I’m trying to figure out how to use it on the treadmill so I walk all the way to the black girl and she tells me all I need is the remote which was not true. So I take the remote over there and I’m not getting any volume nor I can’t change the channel but it’s able to turn on and turn off. I explain it to her she said oh it’s because the buttons are stuck. I said can you show me how to use it. She showed me how it’s more complicated than I thought needing a non wireless hearing device. She said oh you need an aux cord. Who around here walking with an aux cord. So I walked to her twice wasting time and energy. When she could’ve saved me the drama.

Then I sign in as a black card member so I can use the massager I go to the chair wipe it down and push start nothing comes on other then the iD number pop up. I tell her the issue and she has an attitude looking at me as if I’m crazy. I asked her can I have the access code so I can use. She said she’s not allowed to do that. I asked her can I just use the massager without doing this rigorous process of coming back and forth. She looked at me as if I shouldn’t be irritated. She said I need to sign in I said again? She said yes after or before every session. I said I didn’t get a session then she turns her nose up. It’s pretty bogus over here when people look at you like you the crazy one when really they the crazy one.

The facility itself is nice, but there's terrible communication when training people. I was told I could call and freeze my account for 3 months at a time if need be because I travel for work. Now, when time 2000miles away, I try to do that, and I'm told I have to do it in person. I've also had billing problems with them, I had my account showing a zero balance for over 2 months, and then the account shows i missed a payment. Tried to pay that in cash but they dont take cash even though legally obligated to. On top of everything else, they started auto pay when they weren't authorized to. Nice equipment, but it seems to be terribly managed

I have asked the front desk on 3 different occasions to please clean the stand up tanning booth. At this point I am fed up and this is why I am here. I feel like i'm not being heard. I have advised the desk that this booth needs a good cleaning, not the type of cleaning that paper towels are there to be used for that just isn't doing it anymore. I've even spoke to the assistant manager of this location as you will see, nothing is done!
I have left my information at the desk to speak to someone. And no one has ever reached out to me. What's disheartening even further is that there will be two or three people working at the desk all on their phones when they could be doing extra cleaning in the building that needs it. Sometimes it does have to be done in order to keep up with the demand of certain locations such as this one. Apparently its not a priority here.
There is literally only two people at the desk that are ever friendly when I am there as well. All the other workers seem to stand around talking to other people. Or outside in the parking lot, hanging out with friends. I've witnessed that on two different occasions. There are never no garbage cans left in the rooms themselves so after cleaning the unit, you have to take what's In your hands and travel with it in order to find a trash can to dispose of it in versus being able to put it in the trash can in the room your in. YUCK!
I feel like this is so easily fixable. I have stayed a member trying to give this location a chance & their customer service skills & their cleanliness just isn't getting any better.
I had a whole list of things that this place could really use a lot more of but decided to go with the two that are the most important in my eyes.
This has been going on for the last two months since I have been a member here. I have been trying to just give it some time In hopes that things would change but they haven't. Something needs to be done to this location!
The photos below, you will see looks like a dog has slabbered on the inside of the stand up booth. I hope somebody brings this to a district manager attention maybe then things would change!
What's frustrating is the fact that this is so easily fixable too yet nothing is. I am seriously contemplating on canceling my membership but am semi hopeful that things will look up & SOON!

I have been so nervous about going to gym as I have always wanted to. As I would say about 20 something years ago I went to another gym which was Gold’s Gym and I went few times when I was younger and trying to lose weight. At that time I felt like there were no vibes or encouragement through the whole gym where people be staring and giving you the look like you don’t belong to this gym. I stop going for many years until 2009 I got hit hard and diagnosed T2 diabetes. I was 300+ lbs in my late 20s to early 30s. As right now I am 48 and still looking young for my age and I went from 280 in 2019 and struggle for about 2 years, then lost 30lbs 2021 was when I got out of toxic relationship of 10 years. Everything has changed for me recently month ago my endocrinologist prescribed me Ozempic and first month I lost 25lbs in one month and I decided to try gym as I know membership is pricey for some, but luckily my health insurance is covered for me to go any gym, so PF was my first choice as. It’s no judgement zone and I feel right where I belong and do at my own pace. The staff are friendly and gym is clean as I respect those who wipe down machines after using. This is my to go place to work out as I am starting off slowly with basic equipment then move on to next when I am ready to work on my upper part of my body.

I normally dont leave alot of reviews but i have a major issue with the cancellation policy they have nothing bad about the workers but i have moved and sent 4 letters now asking for my membership to be cancelled and it has not been and i now have a balance over 100 dollars i should not be charged they continue to take money out of my account even though i have asked for this to stop by calling and letters over ten times its not an issue of the workers its an issue of a policy it should not be this hard to cancel a membership i would appreciate the help of management or someone to resolve this issue

I had called this location and requested to speak with a manager about being overcharged on a bill as the month of June I was charged around approximately $113, when I called last week on 6/28 and spoke with Brett, he looked through my profile, advised that he didn't understand the charges and I would be refunded but I needed to follow up today 7/1/24 due to the charges still pending, when I called he had no recollection on whom I was and he said he received complaints all the time about being overcharged and when I recapped our conversation he basically stated it is what is it is and I was charged because I was late making a payment even though I'm set up for auto pay and they have no problem taking the money any other time and said I was not eligible for a refund. So, I'm assuming receiving a refund goes based off of how the manager is feeling at that time because on Friday, he was more than happy to assist then several days later refuses. Not only that but staff is unprofessional, the lady who works at the front desk is always more worried about flirting with her collogues rather than assisting customers and turning away customers when they need assistance therefore resulting in calling corporate because they wouldn't allow me to use this location when I was a black card member. This gym is PATHETIC, upgraded, yeah cool. However, that means nothing when you are dealing with unprofessional staff when you have actual issues. I will be contacting corporate in regards to my complaints, which I'm sure will also be dismissed.

Came in on a Sunday. Only one employee working. Equipment was great but for someone who travels for a living and goes to a different Planet Fitness every single day, probably one of the most dirty bathrooms I've ever been in. Shower curtains were covered in mold! No toilet paper. One of the toilets was covered in feces. Absolutely disgusting!

This is also not my first time leaving a Planet Fitness review so please refrain from responding to this review and telling me to tell the management because that's your job not mine and this review is me telling the management.

My only complaint, which is not actually PF's fault: the parking lot is SUPER SKETCHY. Very few street lights and almost constantly has at least one derelict vehicle or camper parked in front of the corner unit next door. Definitely be careful when leaving late.

This gym has always been a great spot to work out and improve health and fitness, but since the recent remodel it's on a whole new level. The staff here is amazing, we train with Cameron who is truly the best of the best. He not only cares about our fitness journey, but overall health and makes the necessary recommendations and changes to our workout routine to be sure we're on a path to success. Cameron is knowledgeable, friendly and has made our experience at the gym a great one. We also love checking in and getting a friendly hello from Brett, he is always there to great us with a smile and make sure we have what we need during our workout. Several other Plante Fitness gyms in our area, but none of them have given us the great customer service that Daytona Beach had.
