I usually work out here once a year for the two weeks I visit my parents for the Thanksgiving holiday. The reason for 4 stars and not 5, It seems like they got rid of some of the machines they used to have (shoulder press, lat pull down machine) it has also been noticeable busier than the previous years. But it is a clean club, staff are nice and I am thankful I can keep up with my workouts while visiting family.

Fantastic place for our workout. Had major surgery 16 months ago and found low impact machines to help get me back on my feet for over a year now. The managers Tom and Shenequa, have been running a great ship, especially with some of the more recent employees there. KJ, Eric, Zay, and Emma, just to name a few, keep the desk running, always cleaning and always smiling and joking to keep everything comfortable and light, when checking in or needing a hand. I appreciate on how they all get along and help one another and helping the patrons out when needing something. All good people and always a pleasure to be around. I had a terrible interaction with the manager, Niqua.
And it seems l'm far from the only one. I'm unsure as to why planet fitness continues to keep this woman on as a manager. Her attitude is absolutely atrocious. I'm a black card member and l've had an issue with tanning beds not having all the lights working. I let the staff know several weeks ago that one of the tanning beds had two lights out, and they were unable to give me an answer as to when it would be fixed. this happened so long ago that they know not to book me in this one particular tanning bed because the problem still hasn't been fixed. On August 5 I went to go tanning and a different bed now also had two lightbulbs out. I did my tan and then went to talk to the staff about the issue to which the manager immediately bit my head off. She was waving her hands in the air, kept repeating that I wouldn't let her speak and that I had a horrible attitude she described as " mean nice". At one point, she told me to leave the facility, mind you I never raised my voice or gave her a bad attitude. I was honestly really confused as to why she was so hyped up. By the end of it, she would not tell me what massage chair I was supposed to use, waved her hands in the air and gesture to a staff member to finish assisting me. I also wanted to ask her about the gym members in the lobby who got Chick-fil-A DoorDash. It just seems really odd to me that a gym would allow fast food to be delivered to their very open lobby. When I brought it up to her, she told me that they are just kids and that I put my nose into their business. Mind you, these are kids who are not paying members and are only using the facility during the summer for their free program. I have tried to contact corporate, but l'm really hoping this review will get the attention of the upper management. This isn't the only negative interaction that l've witnessed.
I've also heard her beating her staff about not cleaning as good as she does. Which is odd because all of them are always on their phones, hanging out with each other. They really couldn't give a crap about the guests as they come and go. I really hope planet fitness upper management reaches out to me sooner than later because the fact that they employ someone so incredibly unprofessional blows my mind. And I think everyone in Eustis and the surrounding areas need to be aware of how big of a problem she is before they sign up at this location. It was August 5 around 4:30 in the afternoon, I stand on all 10 toes that I was not rude to this girl and I would like upper management to pull the CCTV footage from the incident.

I had called the Gym trying to fix an issue wondering why I was charged $41.80 one of their employees have mentioned it happens many times with other gym members and was given a third-party number for a refund ones going back and forth between the 3rd person number and the gym itself I was denied a refund, I then cancel my membership because of that unnecessary extra charges and denied refund I was charged again another $41.80 I've called asking why all these unnecessary charges especially when I had canceled my membership due to their unnecessary extras charges and also knowing I'm not the only gym member that went through the same situation I then was told it was due to an error in my account which it's impossible I thankfully have no issues with my bank and if so how could it be charged so instead of fixing the problem I was told I could continue going to the gym

Great gym I've been going for quite awhile it's good to stay in shape! Have a good workout and feel good! I have tried contacting the manager several times for 2 months now to resolve a billing issue. When I finally got a hold of her (Shaniqua) at the Eustis gym, she was very rude. The manager continued to talk over me and interrupt me as I was asking her to “please listen to me”. At one point I stated to her that as a leader managing a facility and being in customer service, she needed to be more sympathetic and listen to her customers concerns instead of wanting to be right and being argumentative. Shaniqua stated “don’t tell me how to do my job and I will not be helping you, you can call corporate” and proceeded to hang up on me. When I called back she stated “stop calling here I will not be helping you call corporate” I work in the customer experience industry and this is not how you handle Any situation. The issue I have been working on has been going on for 2 months now and still is not resolved. I would NEVER recommend this location or facility to anyone! And no one deserves to be talked to in that way.

Planet Fitness employees made it difficult to use my silver sneakers membership. Told me I could only go to One Gym. There were two employees working. A friend from out of town was visiting, she has silver sneakers also. He said both of you have silver sneakers! He said, well we can only do one at a time. We ended up leaving, checking out another gym. I'm sure that they give a discounted rate to the insurance companies for silver sneakers. If they don't want us there, don't take the insurance money. They're taking it because they get a guaranteed amount of money out of every insurance company. So if a company bigwig reads this review, either top taking money from the insurance companies or a
gladly accept us.

I visited Planet Fitness again with my boyfriend, who has a black membership card... don't recall the exact name. Obtained access to the facility easily through his membership status. We visited rather late about 9:30 p.m.. I joined Planet Fitness because my boyfriend doesn't have silver sneakers. I'm not crazy over the facility it's lacking equipment I enjoy using at CF Fitness. No yoga or Pilates, the guy on staff was so unfriendly. At CF Fitness, Im pretty sure I can use any equipment. Planet Fitness wouldn't let me use the hydro massage chairs. I'm still giving them three Stars because the staff member was quite unfriendly and wouldn't let me use the hydro massage chair. If my boyfriend didn't already have a membership there, I would have got him to join my gym.. in my opinion, a friendly attitude is there important with any business I patronize with.

I finally was able to return to the gym after having surgery only to find that they have removed the 30 minute express circuit and replaced it with more weightlifting equipment. I originally joined for the specific use of the 30 minute circuit. I knew I could jump on a vacant machine and finish a complete cardio and weight workout in 30 minutes, which was great when you’re short on time. Now I spent more time wandering around looking for vacant machines which are located in different rooms. More than half the time squatters are sitting on them staring at their cell phones. I’m lucky if I can use the same equipment in less than an hour. Time to find another gym.

I changed gyms to this one, and for the first time, probably since the pandemic, I am making my goals. The rest of the world, I suspect, from lockdown, did not meet such goals, and when they were able to get gym memberships-they came out in full force. And they were all at my former gym. The place was packed. I would have to wait in queues for machines or even a space. And the people using those machines were those experienced blokes that did not care for those who were just trying to get healthier.I left.Came to Planet Fitness and have found the staff is approachable, the place is clean, the members friendly, and the equipment....adequate. Yes. Could use another hip sled, a few more barbells and another rowing device, but, for now? Perfect. In fact?I have been recommending it-alas, the crowds I hang with are not exactly the gym-going crowd. Peace!

Waiting at the desk while the employee was walking someone around the gym slowly seeing me several times waited over five minutes to arrange for a Hydro bed. Staff is uninterested alot of the time on their cell phones (like most GenZ). Air conditioning is inconsistent. Hydro beds broken down for 3 weeks (do I get my money back). I have been a black card member for 20 plus years and I must say this is one of the worst location I have been to. The equipment is so old and out date. The equipment is stack so close to each other. The restroom are always dirty. The water from the faucet barely work. And to top it of your trainer with is classes. This place doesn’t care about their customers at all. I purchased a membership here but due to a car accident and then catching COVID, I wasn’t able to come. I paid for my subscription for months while unable to attend.

After not working for a short while due to everything going on, I missed a payment. Finally after finally being able to attend, I called several times asking to speak to a manager to request they waive my one missed payment since I had been paying for months but had only been in one time during the many months I paid due to everything so that I could start over fresh and start attending and was told each time that “Tim” wasn’t there but would call me back. But the manager never called. Basically this tells me they aren’t willing to waive one lousy payment and that they don’t even care enough about their customers to show enough respect to call them. So I guess I’ll just take my money elsewhere. Sad too because I finally convinced my best friend to go also and we were going to start coming together.

Your lack of respect and concern about returning my call has cost you my continued business as well as my best friend who I was going to bring to start a membership.

I joined this gym since before Covid and have lately been dissatisfied with the attitude of the staff and their lack of professionalism in making sure all the equipment and massage beds and chairs are working properly. For 2 weeks that I know of we have been using only 1 massage bed for the entire gym which is why I joined in the first place, at least an incentive before and after my workout. Lately, I am considering ending my membership if things don't straighten out. This is unacceptable! Need more massage beds and fewer tanning rooms. Need more new equipment and to enforce the cell phone policy as well.

Nice variety of equipment for all of the muscle groups. Love the purple color, and the massive ceiling fans. Lots of cardio machines as well. There were 2 classes going on while I was there: ab workout class and stretch/flexibility class. Very clean facility with well- maintained equipment. The best part of Planet Fitness is the price. $10/ month is the best deal we've seen anywhere, and there are a lot of options. We like the central location right next to Ollie's. I haven't heard the infamous lunk alarm yet, so everyone is mindful of the rules and their manners.
I recommend this fitness center, especially for its value.

Update on March 18, 2024: Still going to Planet Fitness 3x per week. Everything I described above is still the same. I don't see any classes going on, but everyone seems to do their own thing. Sometimes the music is too loud, or someone might be sitting at a machine talking on the cell, but those are the only complaints at the moment. Still recommended because of the price point of $10 monthly, plus approx $100 annual fee. This place has everything you need to stay in shape.

Called before I brought my son to see what I would need to bring with me for proof of age(13) they said nothing, but I showed up with my son and now I need proof of some sort and the front desk was rude. So I missed out on quality time with my kid and a workout. I really regret getting this gym membership.

This location is perfectly happy to allow their management and employees to bully and victimize their members. They are so comfortable doing so that they will call and lie to the police just to harass members they don’t like. The regional manager also seems to be content with the appalling behavior of his staff and it has been going on for months. Planet fitness really needs to address the many employee issues at this facility.

Staff at desk was nice, trainer was very unprofessional. Bathroom and shower area were dirty and trashed. Main floor was dirty.

I went at 5:30 am and it was very busy. There wasn't really anyone to ask questions about machines because the one person there looked preoccupied and didn't seem approachable. Instead of wipes you had to clean seats with a spray and brown paper towels which were not conveniently located or easy to find in certain areas.

First the positive: the staff is very friendly and they seem to be adequately staffed to assist any of their customers in a timely manner. Workout equipment is in good or acceptable condition.

Now to the negative: the women’s locker room, toilets and showers are not clean. The showers and toilets especially need more regular cleaning. None of the toilets or sinks were particular clean, there was hair in any of the shower stalls and the shower curtains are a bit too small to provide full privacy. I would be able to overlook this if it had been particularly busy during my visit but it was not crowded at all (lvl 2 of the crowd meter on the PF app) and it was even less busy when I left.

Today was a big disappointing day at planet fitness in Eustis. 3/4 of the way through my workout on the treadmill. Dylan tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I would change treadmills to the other line of treadmills. He said he was pulling them all out to clean underneath them. I said I would rather not until after my work out as all the metrics times, calories speeds, etc. would be lost. He said since I was close to finishing my work out it would be OK to continue. This type of priority is not acceptable to me, and the owner should set policies and procedures to avoid interrupting a Member during a work out for a routine cleaning. After the second stage of my workout in the 30 minute workout equipment area, I walked out of the area and my only way through the main hall to the door was through the debris hair, dust, etc. that was accumulated on the floor from the treadmills that had been pulled back. The lady said come on through. That was a very unpleasant experience! The time of day was about 120 in the afternoon on December 2, 2024. Hopefully management or ownership will reply to my message and make changes as appropriate to ensure these kinds of activities. Do not happen again. Additionally, it was sad to see that my request of Hydro bed number one was not available. Only to find out Hydro bed number one and number two are currently not in working order. That leaves one Hydro bed working which is number three this is not acceptable and hopefully management and/or ownership will keep the equipment in proper working order in the future.

The gym itself is clean and nice. The management, specifically shaniqua was the most disrespectful, immature person I've ever spoken to, how she is management is absolutely unreal to me, I will make sure all friends and family know not to sign up at eustis planet fitness while she's still employed there.

I love this gym!!!! Hubby and I have been going here for over a year. First manager we were not impressed with at all. Then along came Tom and the new crew. So much better!!!! Shaniqua (I believe she's the assistant manager) as well as KJ, Eric, Zay, and Emma. The difference with this crew is night and day! They are ALWAYS smiling and greet you when you come in. They really seem to enjoy working with each other, as well as interacting with the members. They are always busy cleaning, vacuuming, and wiping down the machines and ready to assist you in whatever way they can. There really is SUCH A NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE now, and we couldn't be happier to have this crew here at our location! Kudos to you all! Keep up the good work guys. We appreciate you! :) GDS
