Just started going to this gym today. I’ve trained at a lot of gyms. Took about a year off from training and just started going again. Overall it’s what you expect from a planet fitness. It’s clean, staff seems chill.

This is the first gym I’ve ever been at that doesn’t have a scale. Every other planet fitness I’ve ever been to has a scale.

I think a scale is a basic requirement for a gym. And this gym has just been “remodeled “ ? I encourage the decision makers of this establishment to get one.

Called to freeze membership because of renovations, was told they couldn’t but once they open up, one of the managers would take care of it. They opened and managers told me they couldn’t do anything about it because they gave me options to go to other gyms which are too far for me and they can see that no visits were made but they refused to give any sort of refund.

My issue is with the rules and patrons. Staff mainly stays behind the counter on their phones so they dont see or care to see whats happening on the floor. Mean while gym bags are on the floors, people working out with slides, crocks, construction boots, cowboy boots and even barefoot (gross). Kids are allowed and most don't care to wipe down the machines or are just horse playing why'll taking up machine time for people who are actually there to workout. Machines are consistently out of order for one thing or another. And the attire the people wear. Kinda like going to Walmart. Subpar to say the least. Now they want to shut down the place for 6 weeks to make renovations. No one said "hey we aren't going to charge you for the month and a half that you can't workout". This is definitely a managerial issue.

I was a Black Card member for 12 or more years. The Holiday FL location consistently has broken machines and leaky roofing and AC that regularly closes sections of the gym. I had stuck with them through it all. Including people sitting on the machines in 30 min workout area, playing on their phones, while employees walk by and do nothing. This past weekend I tried to go to the regular enrollment from the Black Card (I do not use the tanning beds or massage chairs) and they said they had to charge me a NEW enrollment fee after all of these years of being a member. They charge no such enrollment fee to upgrade to Black Card, but the down grade to regular there is a charge... I wanted to think on that and went to work out. Went to work in 30 minute workout area and a group of teens horsing around, so had to leave that area, went to work out in stretching room and same teens show up with a basketball and start playing basketball regardless of the people trying to workout. Ended up cancelling my enrollment. Why should I pay for Black Card pricing, when half the time, you can not use the entire gym. This location has gone way down hill and the employees don't give a damn.

This location is another disappointment. The gym itself is not in great condition and the cleanliness is less than to be desired especially the bathroom, but what really motivated me to write this post was the staff. A MANAGER was in the handicap bathroom stall for over 45 minutes and the other toilet had feces all over the seat. So, I called the front desk to let them know and that, maybe, they should check on him. They told me, "It's okay, he's sick." As I was being told this I could hear the sound of a movie or TV show playing from the stall with the manager accompanied by some pretty hearty laughs. I hung up as I saw there was no getting through and not wanting to argue, however, I wasn't sure if the manager was really sick, and if so, why was he allowed to be at work in a gym where he could possibly spread a contagion, or if he really isn't sick why would a manager on the clock represent his employer like this and be such an inconvenience to patrons. Not the end of the world, but the condition of the gym and actions of the staff are good indications of the amount of care and consideration they afford a future patron, problems, or concerns you may have. JUst some things to consider when choosing your daily fitness experience...

I went away in the military for several months planet fitness told me my account would be put on hold when I got back they're trying to charge me$108 I was told to my account would be put on hold that obviously was not the case when I spoke with them and told them that I would cover half the cost but not all of it considering I had not been in the gym for over 90 days they were not willing to work anything out with me I told him this is the way that you treat your military people I will be sure to let others know in return I'm joining crunch fitness which will waive my annual fee for the first year as long as I put a review on planet fitness website letting people know how they treat military people

I cancelled here and joined the Hudson location because holiday is way too crowded with the free memberships you offer to all teenagers 14-19 from June until August 31. As a loyal 5 year member it's absolutely frustrating watching them camp out on equipment not being monitored. They're on their phones hogging the machines not even working out. What is this the new teenage free hangout? Paying customers can't utilize the equipment which is criminal. You might as well open a daycare. Found a better less crowded gym and I'll pay twice as much if I had to not to deal with you're disregard for your true members. I get you want to do something good for the community but put certain downtimes when they can workout for free. Not during times when people that actually work wanna workout. This gym is the worst. Always water leaking all over. Also letting teenagers in for FREE all summer so all of us who have to pay for our membership are paying for these kids too 14 to 19 years old. Most don't wipe down machines, they come in multiples (2 or 3 usually) then you who pay to go to the gym have to wait until they do all of there reps while also chatting, texting and just taking there time with no consideration. It makes me hate this gym so much that I am looking into other gyms. I don't know how anyone thinks this is right or fair to paying members on any level. Especially the people at this gym who put this practice in place. It is just soooo wrong. I only go here because it is the closest to my home. It disgusts me on sooo many levels.

This is only getting two starts due to the great people that work there. They are friendly, helpful, and they keep the gym super clean.

The two star review is for the technology, and their corporate support. For MONTHS they have had technical issues with the TVs, and for MONTHS they can't get it resolved. They can't get channels to work, sound to play on all TVs, or replacement TVs when one goes bad (its just an empty space now). I've talked with management there who explain they are doing the best they can, but corporate does not support them or help with escalation needs with local service provider. I've gone back and forth with their corporate team via email, who tells me 'this is very important, can you tell us what the local management told you?' Why should the customer be the liason between the store and corporate? DUMB. They tell me the issue is very important to them, but literally for THREE PLUS MONTHS they can't get their issues resolved. Go to another PF, or just pick another gym. Corporate office doesn't care about this one, or their customers.

Most of the staff is friendly enough. Repairs are needed the ceiling is still exposed at least most of the buckets collecting dripping water is removed. Part of the women’s locker room is still blocked off from it. Many of the paper towel dispensers are broken. I asked an attendant how to use a machine the only answer I got was to scan the QR code on the machine. I am not putting another app on my phone couldn’t he just tell me. The total body enhancement was down for weeks due to the leaks. No compensation for not having all the black card benefits available. Some of the equipment seems like it’s original with need of replacement. One machine in the 30 min room has been down a couple weeks yes you can go to the main area but why should I have to use the clock when the room is designed with the system for use! If it was not for the convenience of this location I would definitely have signed up for a better cared for gym!

I appreciate the no Judgement Zone concept , but don't appreciate the new national CEOs drive for DEI inclusion. I resent any business chain getting involved in political causes. This gym is awful, there's holes in the ceiling additionally, the ceiling has a constant non stop leak. the equipment is more ancient than the clientele; if you're looking for a gym for young people this isn't it, it's like a retirement home with weights. Id recommend if you're looking for community if you're younger go somewhere else this isn't it. Worst customer service ever they don’t have one on one service where they explain their rules and deals to join or a tour around the gym , “they will say download the app and apply with us “, they don’t explain step by step how to apply on the app . I downloaded the app apply and just put my information and credit card and when I finished for some reason the system put me on the location of Clearwater when I live in Holiday Fl. I pay 60$ dollars one time for the year and 10$ monthly and on top of that when I check in I was told I had the wrong location that I needed to call the Clearwater location to transfer at holiday and I ask can your customer service do it and I was told no do it yourself .ALSO I was told they had a deal 1 dollar to join and 10$ monthly so why did I pay 70$ Next ,when two moths was finished 1 the first one I was charge again 60$ for the year pass , when I already pay the year .Finally, when I went to ask for explanation why I was charged for the year when I already pay for it and is only being two moth not a year they answer was we don’t know no explanation the manager had no clue why the system charge me twice so I went and cancel my membership and on top of that I had to pay 60$ dollars to cancel with planet fitness so charges after charges so in total I pay 80+60+60=200$ dollars for two moth of working out you charging like if is AL fitness when your service is horrible. where on this story do you hear they take care of their customers no they don’t . Best advice check you account every moth and see what they charging because it can be a big amount and you don’t even know and planet fitness don’t call or ask when they charge and when you ask for explanation the manager have no clue so Planet fitness’s loss 3 customer myself , my wife and my sister because when I ask them to check their account they were charged the same amount so they also cancel like I said Planet fitness worst horrible customer service they are the worst gym ever I will not recommend this gym to nobody

Really enjoyed it here last 6 years. Staff is always very nice. My concern for 4 stars is over last few months things seem different. I guess roof always leaking isn't all their fault, and machines over time will break but seem to take a while to fix. But the TV service concerns me. Is it a sign of financial distress, cable issues or what. I mean new machines and rearranging them have been nice but the little things add up and make me wonder. This place is great I just feel like something has or is coming. I hope not cause it's great place here.

It's a very interesting experience trying to buy a car in Florida.

All dealers, including Ocean Hinda seem to add a fee over and above MSRP and the destination fee.

They classify these as dealer fee or prep fees and can range from $1200 to $2000 grand, or the add on ridiculously overpriced dealer options to increase the purchase price by a couple of thousand dollars.

I don't know why that happens here in Florida as it is not the practice in other states.

Precor ellipticals are not as good as life fitness. Bring back the life fitness! A huge problem is the Sloan waterless urinals. They stink terribly and they make the bathroom stink. It's unbearable to urinate in the bathrooms. Whoever thought this was a good idea is crazy. We don't want to work out nauseous. There should be more cable pulleys for cable crossovers. All the other planet fitnesses have two or three towers of them This one only has one.. So if somebody is doing tricep pushdowns then you can't do cable crossovers. Please clean the AC intake vents that's the air we breathe. A positive is at the staff wipes down the equipment a negative is at the bathrooms have not been cleaned for several days... Where is the staff wiping down the bathrooms? The places where we sit there's dirt and crumbs and all kinds of stuff on there gross.

They've done some repairs and the place is looking better... The higher up managers got involved and got things done. I would still like the staff to check the lockers at night because some people leave trash in them...
Thank goodness they replaced the urinals with water urinals because the non-water urinals were terrible. My only major complaint right now is that they need to add a second cable crossover system they only have one so I always have to wait about 30 minutes to use it

To be completely honest I hate the purple and the planet fitness logo emblazoned on every machine. They did thin out some of the machines so it's a bit better. There is no area to get down on a mat and stretch. It's a small gym. I am a fan of the massage chairs and lounges and they are open 24 hours.

My first stop in to this place was pleasant the staff were easy going and directed me through the initial start process to be a member there are two options to choose from, basic membership that starts 1$ down and 10$ a month and the black card members that are the same deal but 25$ a month

Black card members get a few extra privileges like use of massage chairs and a couple other things

The gym is full of vibrant people with a lot of energy at first I felt intimidated so I reached out to the local gym members and they gave me friendly tips and pointers to start telling me to try legs so I did.

Spent a few hours working out hit the showers and wasn't disappointed bring your own towel and soap if you plan on using them tho.

Overall a good stop in worth the effort and can already feel the gains on my first day

I can't say how the actual gym is, but my son joined a while back and had lost his source for a lot of his salary and can't afford to keep the membership! He tried many times to cancel his membership, but they said that since he had owed them a payment, they can't cancel it! So they make it harder on him because they keep taking out the monthly payments from his account and he can't physically go! He hasn't been there in months but still gets charged, why make it harder for someone to be able to pay there rent and other bills?

Love this place and the workers . Only issue I have is the 30 min full body section people literally every time come in there just to sit on one pice of machine and toy have to break your cycle and start jumping around . I wish the would monitor this more but I know it's a pain . Clean facilities also . Last thing is the bulbs in the total body enhancement ar mostly out . The workers are the best tho

I was told over the phone and on web site you can have a day pass to see if you like the club. When I get there I was made to sign the iPad and told I could not use the club. They could only gave a tour. They said they did not give day passes. This must be the only club in the world that does not give day passes. If they are this unethical and you are not a member what do they do when you are a member.i don't recommend. I'll be joining another club. No thank you to this treatment.

I go the gym at night time. Planet Fitness has a lot the equipment I need for my fitness goals. The night shift staff does a good job. David, Jonah, and Lisa are very professional always ready to help customers.

There was miscommunication which admittedly they attempted to correct, however belittling and making light of the situation was uncalled for. You should have a process to override. When customer asked you should push up to your management for direction. A human should always have the ability to override technology.

Lily was very professional, and courteous while assisting me with my Planet Fitness membership. I commended her on her knowlege. She told me it was because Chris trained her thoroughly! Lily also informed me that my Renew Active plan through my Medicare plan included the Black Card membership. This was great news! I can exercise any Planet Fitness in the US! and not worry. I also want to thank Delaney for helping me when I called back. Everyone at Planet Fitness Holiday is very kind and helpful.

Planet Fitness Holiday is extremely clean (think ready for military inspection every minute of every day.) And because It's a gym, the lights are very bright. It is "not" dimly lit like a night club or bar, which I really appreciate. The 24/7 hours suit my retiree schedule, too. lol

Cleaning stations are easy to access at this location, as well. If you're thinking about joining a gym, I highly recommend Planet Fitness Holiday.

They don't fix anything and they won't fix the water machine, so they force you to buy their water! The water machine has been down for months. I don’t not recommend this place. All the employees do is stand at the counter and chit chat.
