I have been going to planet fitness in Inverness for over 4 years. I have always worked out super early in the morning, but with the female night staff & general setting I have always felt safe going there & going at 4 am has been a routine of mine for 3 years now.

About 2 months ago a new overnight janitor began working there, he made me uncomfortable immediately. He consistently stared at me & at one point approached me, corrected my form & then hit on me. I told someone I knew who worked at the gym to let them know this had happened & it was weird. About 3 days later, I wake up to see he found/had added my social media & liked old pictures of me.

I reported this as well.

The following visit I made to the gym the janitor made comments about me “needing to smile” & how “i wasn’t as smiley as normal”, he also described when i dry scoop my pre workout. This conversation in particular really made me uncomfortable, maybe more his cadence or how I could infer from the comments that he had been watching me in the gym, I decided to officially report this. The manager let me know he was submitting this to HR and had requested to terminate this individual, he let me know he would be in the gym & I would have the opportunity to speak to him about it.

I went to the gym on two occasions to speak with said manager in the week, as he told me he would be there in the morning, both times I had moments where I caught the individual staring at me & would stop when I shook my head at him.

It’s now a week later & I still have not heard any update. I feel at this point, let down. Somewhere I’ve loyally been a customer to for years and they couldn’t follow up with me about the incident that I only reported because I felt unsafe. The least this establishment could have done is given me the heads up this was their decision so I could make an educated decision myself to not come in at those times or find a new gym.

Fast forward to this morning, I reach out as I had not heard anything - I was met by being dismissed. Told that this was “handled internally and he would be continuing employment” I told him he was continuing to stare are me & he dismissed that as well asking if anything had actually happened.

I want to be clear, I am not asking for this individual to be fired or trying to get him in trouble. I am not speaking out because I want to be mean to this person, I am doing this because I am genuinely scared and asked for this company to make efforts to protect me. I don’t believe he needed to be terminated, actually I was scared that may make the situation worse, anger/enrage him & put me in actual danger as he would have access to private personal information in their databases. I felt this could have been handled with slight scheduling accommodations, communication & transparency.

I received a call from the regional manager who apologized that I had not received an updates but they would not be doing anything further about this incident, that they spoke to him & it was my choice. I asked about moving the individuals schedule around or other options which was declined. I have moved forward with terminating my membership but I wanted to note because there are a lot of women going at the time I do, when it’s dark outside & trust to be safe there. I want them to know this happened as I was not protected by this company.

This Planet Fitness gets the job done for me, I want more but it checks the boxes. The gym is fairly clean and has most of what you need for a solid workout. That said, I really wish they had heavier free weights and maybe even a dedicated deadlift/ functional barbell station—something that allows for more functional strength training with weight that’s not as controlled like a smith machine.

Another point: I live further away, so I rely on showering there. The showers work, but I hate walking out smelling like a public pool. Some better filtration would go a long way for the health and safety of guests since the water is clearly heavy on chemicals. I know that probably won’t change anytime soon, but as they say—closed mouths don’t get fed. The water filter stays on orange or red it’s rarely a new filter.

I feel comfortable riding the one style bike that does not hurt my spine or neck. The small amount of exercise I can do keeps my spirit going. No one judges, stairs or comments about the amount of time it takes me to finish. Don't be shy, give it a try. They have trainers also.

This is a very clean and well lit facility. I recently joined for better fitness after having a heart attack.
Here's where a star was lost: Yeah, I'm old and haven't been a gym member in many years. I booked a "New Member Orientation" and it was useless. The guy taking me around only sat there and said "you do this". In my last gym, they took you through the machines, where to adjust the the machine for your body size and how to use them properly. Once he showed up (extended bathroom break), this guy was a waste of time.

This gym allows dogs inside without verifying whether they are legitimate service animals. An employee even mentioned they are instructed not to ask, which means any dog can be brought in, including those simply “in training.” For clarity, the ADA does not extend protection to service animals in training. The new Manager there and staff is not friendly, they don't like seniors, equipment in the Blackcard member area breaks and two weeks later tried to use it , I was told the lights work ,but they the shaker and the lights still weren't fixed. Than I was told that I had no business in the Black card members area, but am a black card member! I didn't argue at 58 years old I just left ,I will never go back to that Planet Fitness. It's the worse Planet Fitness I have ever been to. They cater to only young people! They stand behind the counter all of them and just talk to each other don't engage the customer with even a hello!!

App crowd meter is nice and gym is never very crowded with all the room in there. New machines with automatic timers and counters. Spotlessly clean. Entertainment at all cardio machines. Placement of equipment is well thought out as is the variety of ways to go about your workout - specifically the 30 minute Express area and the 360 area to shake up your workout routine. My wife and I get to workout together once or twice a week, so I have come to love this place.

I love Planet Fitness, I've been an on-and-off member for a few years now. My one thing with it is the hours. I work during the week, and I like to go to the gym on the weekend. My girlfriend and I are more of night owls than early risers on our days off, and multiple times now we've gotten totally ready for the gym and drove out from the next town over just to discover it's closed before sunset. Of course, we should check the hours before going, but PF used to be open 24 hours 7 days a week, and it's been irritating to adjust, to say the least. Also having only 3 days of the week open 24 hours, then being open 7am-7pm on the weekend, then from 5am-12am on Monday, and then 12am-10pm on Friday is just confusing and doesn't make any sense. All I ask is consistent hours.

To the owner. Over a month ago I pointed out to the manager equipment that needed repairs and adjustments. To this day nothing has been touched. Second smith machine from the front grinds going up and down, even worse with weight on the bar. Seated tricep machine has slack in the belt need adjustment. I hope it doesn't take another month to get them fixed. I'm sure I could find other equipment that needs repairs.

I've posted before, I just feel over the years that the desk no longer monitors who's coming in, so you have people coming in dressed inappropriately for working out, for example skinny jeans cowboy boots and do-rag, they offer a young people summer membership, which is great except the most of them do not follow any of the rules of the gym and don't wipe the machines down. and every time I check in it tries to tell me they need my credit card in case I want water, I bring my own water I don't need to give you my credit card number again.

We are in town for a few days and searched up for a local Planet Fitness and even though the machines are not new they are very well kept, the place is extremely clean, and bathroom area are excellent and private, so you have space for showers, to change to bathe and just to wash hands. Plus, lockers and extra perks for the Black Card which is always enjoyable. Plenty of parking space and amazing A/C running. Friendly staff too, will be coming here every time we are in town for sure! very nice environment!

Just signed up today with a Silver Sneakers/Classic membership plan. Sara and Alexis guided me through my introduction. They were so cheerful and responsive to me. I was introduced to the different parts of the gym. Even other staff roaming the rooms smiled with friendly attention. I was offered access to the fitness trainer and shown some of the other amenities that I could pay just a little extra for. I had visited a competing facility closer to my home earlier today and treated with such disrespect and disinterest-the contrast was astounding. I am definitely coming back to Planet Fitness!

I have been a member of PF all across the country after being a member of this one for a few months I have noticed the employees do nothing more then stand up there and put makeup on an ether fast food that's been delivered. It's getting so bad that sometimes there's four employees up there and customers just stand there waiting for them to either finish their conversations or what they're doing.. Not at all like they're at work and it does show the employees are definitely not cleaning anything it's very disgusting. I have also noticed variances in the volume control if it's a song they didn't request they turn it down if it's one day like it's up so loud you can't hear anything else.

Like many other people life happens! I totally forgot to update a card and put my account on hold because I am helping my elderly uncle with dementia and many medical issues. I never planned on not being able to work and go to the gym like I used to. He’s 77 years old And I’m all that he has to help me. I don’t answer phone numbers I don’t know, and it’s my fault for letting my account get so ridiculously past due. I called today spoke with Ricky who was amazing! He listened he understood my problem and he told me when you’re ready to come back you come on in and we’ll get you on a payment plan. No worries is what he said to me it happens. I’m so grateful that he understood my needs. And told me do not worry he will not be billed again. But when you’re ready to come back, we will work with you. That’s why I love planet fitness and I’ve been a member often on for probably as long as they’ve been in business. Thank you Inverness planet fitness for havingemployees that understand you have to sacrifice sometimes to help others. Kudos to Ricky you need more like him!

Great Gym but the gym music is way too loud I ask the young lady & guy if they would turn it down!!! That was a joke she said yes but never did!!! My work partner had a black diamond pass and invited me to go to a gym called Planet Fitness with him, I had never been in a gym my whole life before because I workout at home and was a little nervous about going, but I ended up going to the gym with him, and man, I love it so much, the staff are so nice and the people around you are friendly, the place is very clean and lots of equipment to use for all sorts of workouts, whether you are old or young, I recommend going to Planet Fitness and trying it out, I'm about to go get my own Planet Fitness pass, so how about you🫵.

I used to live in Tampa and have been to countless planet fitnesses in many different counties. This location is always clean and the equipment is almost never broken. The staff is welcoming, cheerful, and help to create a positive environment. Two in particular are Kayle and Ally; they are professorial and consistently greet people. I have beena Planet Fitness member for several years in my home state. I recently moved to inverness, Florida & started to go to the inverness Planet Fitness. I have had a Terrific experience everytime I've been there & I go to work out as well as use the tanning beds. Today when I went there the guy behind the front desk now known to me as Andre told me that the beds are currently being used but there's only a short wait. I said OK, yeah I don't like the stand ups I only use the lay down beds. Andre asked me what I didn't like about the stand ups & I told him that I was under the impression. That there are stronger plus the fact that I can lay down and it's more comfortable, He then asked me if I've ever heard of there Hybrid tanning booth which is a stand up & he then told me all about it & gave me some other member feedback on it. After he was finished telling me about it I said Great, I would love to try it so he had set me up in that tanning machine. When I came out Andre was at the front desk & addressed me by my first name asking me how my experience was, I told him that he is the man & thanked him for telling me about the Hybred tanning machine. I told him it was a lifechang8 g experience & I absolutely loved it. He seemed happy that I was happy. He went out of his way to take the time to I produce me to this machine & I am so glad. Thus will now be the only machine I use. I own a business locally & wish that I had someone like him doing my customer service. His Excellent people skills & positive attitude is 100% an Excellent reflection on Planet Fitness. That's why I gave a well deserved 5 stars to Andre & Planet Fitness, Inverness

Staff mostly is nice, place is clean enough, but there are a few gross old guys (members) in the morning who have zero concept of personal space and I’m pretty sure come there only to “people watch”, and by people watch, I mean they wanna situate themselves directly behind any female and pretend to work out (there’s even one that wears sunglasses like he’s being slick!). When I say no concept of personal space, I mean that the whole place could be empty but they are ALWAYS directly behind/beside you. Close! I actually complained about it to the front desk because there is one man particularly that makes me super uncomfortable, to the point where I have addressed him directly to leave me alone, the front desk said “oh yeah we know exactly who you’re talking about” but proceeded to do nothing. So a few weeks later, after more of his behavior (literally strangers were commenting to me that he follows me!) my husband even addressed him about it. So I have been made to cancel MY membership (been here 3 yrs) as this man (who clearly has not worked out in many years) is still there and I’m too grossed out to go back. Front desk doesn’t seem to be too troubled about it as they barely made eye contact when I cancelled and didn’t ask what was up, even though I come 5x a week. Oh well, time to find a real gym :)

These are the only shoes I wear to the gym. I travel for work and go to PF all over the country. Not once had an issue even at this location except for today.
The lady at the front desk was having her morning power trip and decided to kick me out because I did not have on “tennis shoes”

I was in the area traveling for work. This PF location was about 12 minutes from my hotel. I went twice in 12 hours because I was so impressed! The employees at the entrance/counter were so friendly! The gym was very clean, and very spacious. The locker room was also very clean and the space is well planned out for those that need different amenities. I used the treadmill and the stairmaster. I didn’t see any equipment out of order signs on anything, and there are a lot of machines! I would highly recommend this location!

I enjoy coming here in the mornings for my workout which is alot.of bang for the money. It's definitely a no judgement zone but I'm wondering why the staff that is at the front desk really doesn't acknowledge the guest that walks in the door? I sat and watch for about 10 minutes just how many customers that were greeted by the front staff and it was a 50% chance that they even look at you when you come in the door or say anything. My friend and I come for our morning exercises and for the past two weeks there are two ladies at the front desk that doesn't acknowledge us when we come or go (Vicky) she turns her back just to avoid speaking to customers very rude and disappointing!!! she has to understand that without customers she would not have a job!!! Please correct this matter. Thank you!!

For less than half the price of the gym that I was currently attending, Planet Fitness has more equipment, more amenities, and a much friendly staff. Really enjoy the experience, haven’t had a chance to use all of the cool stuff yet. If there is a drawback, they could use some heavier weights. 75 lb max dumbbells limit some of my workouts, but there is enough there to make up for the difference. Overall five star experience

Very clean. Everyone there is so great and helpful. An employee in particular by the name of Tommy Morgan. Always having the best customer service, keeping everything clean and just overall hardworking and keeping everything in check. Great place and great atmosphere.

There is enough equipment and the staff in amazing. The only down part is the local high schoolers. They come in and take up all of the equipment and they stay and talk. I have asked a few times if I could work in and they refuse.
It's like a high school gym between 230-5. I have a tight schedule so I end up paying for another gym. I only use this gym for traveling and tanning.

I've been a member of PF since before COVID, and visited many locations. The Inverness location is always clean and the equipment is almost all in good working order. My only complaint seems to happen at every location, and maybe every gym for all I know and they include:
* people camping out on equipment paying more attention to their phones.
* members hogging up multiple sets of dumbells.
* users in the express workout area taking up equipment for multiple sets and not using the area as it is assigned for

Saw one thing recently that I have never seen before. A member was hogging up two sets of dumbells, but one set he used to hold up the other set. Talk about an inconsiderate idiot.

Loving Planet Fitness! They have everything from a spacious gym to a spa that includes hydro massage to red light therapy and tanning! Totally great deal and great employees and environment.

First time member. Signed up for the $1 fee in August. Been three times and I have to say that Aliyanna is the BEST hostess at a gym this Army veteran has ever encountered! The other staff, not so much. Sorry to interrupt your football game for questions about hydro spa beds (9/7/24 5pm). Not like I'm a regular. Anyway, that aside, the water from the fountains is my only complaint. The equipment is amazing, easy to use, well maintained, and most members are great about wiping down after they are done. I've been to gyms with more amenities but what they lack they make up for in making you welcome and offering enough equipment that you're not waiting. They exemplify the "you belong" printed everywhere. Thank you Aliyanna for being the ambassador for Planet Fitness!!!

Great staff and a shout out to Joey (?), he made my visit to the gym comfortable for being my first time at this location. I have been to other PF and the staff can be short (spoken) and unfriendly, but this crew is a gem.

My first experience was less than desirable due to very outdated old equipment that i needed 2 hands to get to readjust. Ive been with planet fitness for a solid 12 years and have yet to come across a planet fitness i didnt like until this inverness location. My second visit, i brought my daughter as my guest as we have for many years, with zero issues using a phone number at 5 other locations. Until, this location. The man at the front desk (he was in a wheelchair) was highly rude and condescending, was refusing to even approach the counter to help after telling us to use the app after I explained i never used it that way, can you help. He would not explain to us how to navigate the app to use a guest pass via the app. Just kept saying thats what we have to do, whats so hard about it. Then another couple came in with the same dilemma asking for help and he was condescending to them as well. They even made a statement about being told how easy it would be to use a guest pass and the man at the counter told them that someone lied to them then. Essentially accusing them of lying. Mine was not loading. And he was dismissive shrugging and saying well thats what you have to do. I was not rejecting doing it. I asked for help multiple times. When we finally figured it out he was smug and rolled his eyes saying “see not that hard”. Ive never seen someone be so rude to customers who were not instigating. The location is also not sanitary with their spray bottles hanging on the side of the trash cans. After the 2 experiences combined, ive been looking into other gym options in the area.

This Planet Fitness location provides stellar customer service. The gym floor is always clean and tidy and has a pleasant vibe. On-Site personal trainer Ricky is very knowledgeable. He is willing to demonstrate proper form on a multitude of workouts. Overall A+ atmosphere, stop by today!

I enjoy the availability and variety of machines, clean environment and the wonderful massage chairs. In spite of it being the only PF in Citrus County, there are enough machines that you don't wait long, if at all, for your desired workout. I'm fortunate that it is very close to my home.

I've been going here almost 2 years now. The premises are always clean and the equipment well maintained. It's a huge facility so no matter how many folks are here, it does not seem crowded. It's rare that the machines I use are not available right away. Just as important, I find the staff (without exception) to be truly personable.

Tanning beds are always disguisting with flickering bulbs. It’s clear the floors aren’t cleaned all the time either in the tanning rooms. Dirt and hair all over the floor every single time. The shower curtains are dirty and some of them are ripped at the top and hanging with no latch.for as many employees as this place has it should be top knotch clean. Every single day. And the shower curtains need to be upgraded or replaced etc. the health department would have a field day. They also charge your card and refuse to let you use the facilities with past balances , even though that was supposed to be waived with their promotion. No one can ever give me a straight answer either on my balance. Everytime I enter I’m told something different. Other planet fitness gyms are nice and top level. Not this location.

They were charging me almost $100 every month when the membership was $24 a month. I called them with no help and had to dispute the charges through my bank. The gym itself is amazing but I would check the people working there.
