What is the policy for employees regarding guests that neglect to wipe down equipment after themselves? I was wondering after watching a PF team member talk to a guest while the guest left a fly machine visibly sweaty. The first made no attempt to write the equipment, the PF employee did not remind them, nor did they themselves clean the machine. As far as I know it's still grimy now. Does the "judgement free zone" preclude employees from asking gym members to follow the rules (and basic decency). I see people leaving equipment dirty with such regularity that I think a small amount of judgement might be warranted, at least for those lacking in manners.

First time going to planet fitness at this location and it was a terrible experience. Very dusty and moldy needs desperate cleaning. 30 mins into my workout I get a terrible allergy attack. I haven’t had this bad of allergies in a while. I had to stop my workout early with how bad it was.

Been a member for over 15 years and travel across the US quite a bit. I dont have a black card and in most cases they will let you work out even if your from a different city just 1 day. I have paid the $5 fee all of the other times except today, I was greeted by a young lady and I scanned my app and she did not notice I was not a black card holder so I told her I was from out of town and if it was ok, she said it was $20 and there rules were separate from all other Planet fitness, I asked for a manager and said they don't work on weekends. Its not the money its extremely disappointing.

I joined Planet Fitness because I constantly have to huddle my kids all over town. The gym this allows me to use multiple different locations. Obviously, not every location is the same. But staff have been helpful and nice.

I’ve been trying to resolve a simple billing issue at this location for three months. My account was on autopay, yet they kept hitting me with late fees, claiming my account was closed — which it wasn’t. I left multiple messages for the manager, Jay, with no real response. When I finally did speak to him, he was rude as the day is long and completely dismissive. All I asked for was the late fees to be waived so I could get back on track. Instead, I was talked down to and ignored.

I’ve since switched to LA Fitness and will likely be canceling my wife’s membership here as well. It’s a shame — this could’ve been easily resolved with just a little professionalism and accountability.

DO NOT GO HERE. Terrible experience, workers were rude and trying to find problems with my club membership. Instead of working with me, they worked against me.

One of the workers named Chip would not allow me in. Furthermore, he asked for my personal ID and made verbal threats to cancel my membership if I did not present it to him. he was being problematic and kept scoffing at me throughout.

This location has gone downhill since John, Matthew, Richie, Mari, and the rest of the original crew were still working there. Facility is not clean. Customer service non-existent. I wish the staff that was working when I signed up initially was still there. New staff doesn’t even acknowledge your existence, old staff knew me by name and didn’t even make me scan in.

I'm Very upset with the manager at this location Jay Guzman. I Tried to call to speak with him and was put on hold multiple times. I Needed assistance with my account and fees waived due to fraudulent activity and was very Rudely denied. I Asked if it was due to policy or his decision and was told it was his decision . I’ve noticed that random men walk into this gym without scanning a code, and the front desk does nothing to stop them. This is a huge safety concern because people are working out with no accountability—there’s no way to track who they are or access their information. I personally had an incident where a man harassed me, and when I reported it, the staff couldn’t look him up or do anything because he never scanned in. This lack of security is unacceptable and unfair to paying customers.

Edit: To their response, why would I have to go extra steps and contact someone else to get something like this resolved? You do it and fix it - it’s your company’s issue

I wish I could make this stuff up, but I can’t. This is really crazy. I come into the gym that I have to pay an additional month for and they don’t say anything to me when I walk in but when I get up to the area that I’m working out at they come and talk to me. They say that management put a note in there for me to come downstairs and talk to them and I said I have nothing to talk to you about my membership is over the end of May and I won’t come back. So they called the police. I absolutely think that planet fitness is the worst place in the entire world. Three police officers from Atlantic Beach had to come and walk me out of planet fitness and trespass me because they lied to me and I called them out on it on social media. I never did anything at the gym that would make them call the police ever but they did. I’m definitely going to send this to the CEO of planet fitness and I’m not playing. I’m so done. I will also say that these officers were very professional and actually were on my side. Planet fitness will not let you out at another gym even though you have unlimited other gyms more than 10 days. They are liars and so is Alexis at the Atlantic Beach planet fitness

I like this location and have been coming for years. The only thing is there arent enough mats to do floor exercises. Everytime my friend and I go there around 5:30pm there are no mats. I think there are maybe 8 for the entire location, and it's a busy location. Other than that, always a good experience!

Today is 3/13/25. Yes, I want to be very clear.😂 I came into the gym around 1:30 PM and was greeted with such KINDNESS! Thank you Daija Kent, Assistant Mgr at the Beach Blvd. location! At no location was I ever asked “how are you“ and they actually stood there to listen! She is the Customer Service Queen. The gym and locker room areas were very clean. It wasn’t packed, so I was able to get a great workout in. This is my new favorite location!

PF on San Pablo is one of the best PF locations of all their facilities and it is open 24/7 unlike others in the network, however be advised their gyms are ICE COLD inside so wear heavy clothing to be able to do your exercises without freezing your tail off. Many customers agree the gyms are too cold but complaints fall on deaf ears apparently. Who wants to workout and sweat in a refrigerator? If the AC systems are not powerful enough (which they are), the club has these giant overhead fans that stir up a wind chill effect. Temps inside the club are often COLDER than outside, so beware.

Have gone a few times this past week. Two of the times the gym was extremely cold and I could see my breath while working out. The third time, I walked in 40 minutes before posted closing time and they told me that they weren’t allowing anyone else in. I told them I had a 15 minute workout planned. They responded that they would not allow me to scan in and I was told to leave. A separate younger employee stated “don’t be that guy, bro.” I told them that I wanted to talk with someone and they told me to “call customer service.” I asked for the number and they would not give the number to me. They told me to “go to the website..” the website was unsuccessful with providing a number to call. I went to the website, contact us, and then customer service link and had no success. I was severely frustrated that they would not allow me to enter for a quick workout which is disappointing because I’ve had a happy experience as PF black card member for many years. This location’s staff has ample room for improvement.

I attempted to go in today as I used to work at this location and 2 others. I asked the new person behind the desk for a water and that I did not have a card on file. I have been coming it this location for quite a while and the person said I needed a picture. I told her there was a picture but she did not like the picture and demanded my ID, all while I’m talking to members that were there when I worked there. She was not friendly AT ALL and put a bad taste even more in my mouth about this location. Not to mention the dirtiness of the women’s locker rooms. I went to a different location and had no issues. She did say that the person I spoke with at this location DELETED my picture and put a note in the system to deny me access until I took a different picture. TERRIBLE customer service and why was I NOT asked for a new picture for the past months that I’ve been REGULARLY going to this location and purchasing from here. I will avoid this location at any cost.

Very clean, well organized gym. Went late on a Wednesday evening, 10:00 p.m.. not crowded at all, easy access to all machines, everything was clearly labeled and laid out. I would recommend. Might even consider getting a membership.

8/13... I have since become a member of this location and it continues to be a great gym, especially for those with jobs running non-traditional hours. Often I am able to come in around midnight or 1:00 a.m. and have a good workout on quality machines without worrying about safety. Nice work planet fitness.

Planet Fitness makes going to the gym a pleasant experience. Facility is clean and spacious; wide variety of exercise equipment; clean and well maintained; clean bathroom and locker facilities, attentive friendly staff; convenient parking and centrally located at Beach Blvd and Hodges where there are many pre/post shopping options. Clientele are a very good mix of young and old, who clean off the apparatus after use. Most people are polite and respectful to others. Lots of monitors at the stationary equipment. Many extras provided for the premium membership. Something for everyone (strength, flexibility, mobility, stretching, balance) at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended. I am a retiree and am very glad to be a member of Planet Fitness.

John is such a good manager, he positively motivates both the PlanetFitness clients and staff, he does a great job and loves his work. The staff are very professional, knowledgable and courteous on every shift.

The entire gym and locker/bathrooms are safe and clean. The machines are fixed if maintenance is needed. Like the variety of exercise equipment and TV monitors to watch. Guests are good about wiping down machines after using them.

My daughter got a membership at Planet fitness on Hodges and the gym charged $27 Feb.27th, $15 on March 8th, $27 on March 16th, and so on and so forth. No explanation on what the charges were for. Do not recommend getting a membership at this place.

Amazing place and amazing staff except a staff member named Mohamad, I came in at 10pm the gym was empty and I was wearing slides which I know I shouldn’t have worn, but I went in, signed in and started my workout after about half an hour at the free weight section, Mohamed came up to me no introduction no nothing just “you can’t wear that, go change or leave” what kind of customer service is that, mid workout, mid set. I've been going to this Planet Fitness for a while and recently I have asked the employee(s) behind the front counter if they can lower the audio sound in the overhead speakers. I have explained that the audio sound is SO LOUD that when I'm riding a stationery bike, I have to turn the TV sound up so loud that it almost hurts my ears but it is the only way that I can understand what is being said on TV. The front desk people say that they have no control on the overhead audio and that it is the "management" that controls the volume. So, here's my request to the management .... PLEASE, PLEASE LOWER THE OVERHEAD AUDIO SOUND!!!!

I always go to Planet fitness’s when I travel . I am visiting Jacksonville for NYE. I have never been to a Planet Fitness with a dirty bathroom until now . I have never been to a planet fitness without water . I am traveling and don’t have a water bottle with me . I was disappointed with my experience because it isn’t inline with the brand .

Absolute filth. There’s urine on the floor in all the men’s stalls, no toilet paper, toilets are absolute filthy. Trash on the floor in the stalls. I’ve been here twice on a weekend and the two paper towel dispensers were empty by the dumb bell rack. Does anybody work here? What am I paying for?

While my kids liked going to Planet Fitness, be very careful when you cancel your membership. We were told to cancel in person, which we did. I went with my daughter to the Beach Boulevard location in August 2023 to cancel, after trying to do so on the phone. I was told we had to be there in person, so we went. The guy at the front desk said it was all taken care of and she had roughly 10 days left on the month to use the gym. Great. No problem.

We then went and joined Bailey's Gym only because it is closer to our house. Had Planet Fitness been near by, we would have stayed with them.

My son cancelled his membership a few months later to also join Bailey's.

Imagine my surprise seeing not only $10.75 monthly fees on my account statement but also a $41.93 fee. Turns out that Planet Fitness did not cancel my daughter's membership (even though we had gone in person and had been told it had been cancelled). They continued to bill us and even charged us the $41.93 renewal fee on November 1st.

They will not refund $.01 of any of that. So I've paid them over $80 for things we never used and which were supposed to be cancelled.
