Went in to cancel my membership last week. The woman at the desk refused to to get the manager, I had to ask another employee. When the manager came out I spoke with him about just signing up less than a week ago and I was being charged for the 1.00 sign up fee that turned into 5.00. And now I have a 15.00 late fee due to the way it was advertised. The manager refused to cancel my account then told me he would look into removing the late fee and reach out to me. The manager never asked for Any of my information and when I pointed it out his face turned red and he took a photo of me. I will be canceling this account and signing up elsewhere so I can be treated like a customer. The manager Never reached out. The Manager needs training on how to be a Manager.

I have more than 4 years with the black membership of planet fitness using it in all states and I have never had problems in any state and with any staff who have always been very respectful people but today was the exception in this gym the people who are in today's shift are disrespectful putting themselves from you to you with the client yelling and threatening him I never believed that in a gym of such prestige something would happen so don't go to that gym I don't recommend them

It looks like a nice place but it's not. Busted machines break over and over and don't get replaced, AC went unrepaired for too many days. You can ask 3 different people a question and get 3 different answers because nobody knows anything. And 2 out of the 4 employees I've spoken to there were very rude and assuming.

I love that this gym is close to home and it's really well maintained. The problem I've been running into constantly, though, is that whenever I come to do the 30 minute express workout, there are always people camping in there and not moving station to station. The staff does nothing despite signs saying that the area is monitored for this type of behavior. It's not like it's busy when I go, either, so the regular machines are available. Maybe the people in there don't realize what that section is for, but the employees should.

I came in this morning to tan with my black card. The girl at the front desk said they 'would let me this time and they didn't care but the owner does with short brown hair and I won't be able to tan when she's there, because, I can only tan at my home club back in another state'. I said that's not how that works I've been a black card holder on and off for over a decade and traveled across the country and back and never had an issue except at this particular club. The girl replies 'nooooo, but we will let you this time'.

I’ve been a black card member for 2+yrs and for the last 7 months at least twice a week. My first night back in March ‘24 the overnight worker was very rude and blamed the systems down and I couldn’t make a purchase, but I scanned my phone to get in. And he caught an attitude when I said “how was an able to check in?”. The workers who paid attention to my profile to acknowledge me as a black card member except two employees. I believe the woman maybe the assistant manager and the guy usually has a long sleeve with a cap. Every time they see me they give me “Get out” looks, always being dismissive and when I ask to use the black card spa, they both question my membership every time. I feel unwelcomed.

Super posh, fancy location! This Planet Fitness looks high-end and sparkling. Many machine options for strength building that I don't see at other Jacksonville locations. The hydromassage is a flat bed that really gets the sore spots well, and has soft lighting to optimize relaxation. The locker rooms include nice changing rooms.

I enjoy how close to home this is.... never too busy and always machines free to do what I came for. I have been a member for a lot of years. Sometimes we enjoy just going for the massage chairs and hydro beds. Very therapeutic! I bring my daughter, who has knee issues to continue low impact therapy. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are a plus with changing rooms, cleanliness and lockers.

The Gym overall looks clean. The problem I had was when I called to cancel my membership. They make it very difficult, having people to go directly to the gym or send a letter.
Over the phone I had a very unprofessional and disrespectful woman who hung up on me, I asked for her name before that and she said “no member is my name”. Why do people have to ruin all the good experiences I had while I was a member of Ft Caroline’s PF??
Please be polite with the customers or find people that know how to talk to customers.

Usually an acceptable experience at this club, until today. Upon arrival observed that three TVs were not working. Of course, they were the ones I usually watched during my 30 minute elliptical workout. The club was pretty empty, so I asked if they would change one of the other TVs near where I worked out to a news show or something other the the food network or a game show. I was rather rudely told that they couldn't or wouldn't do that. My question is why not give a member an accommodation since their equipment wasn't working correctly? Before anyone suggests that it would have negatively affected other members, there were only 2 other members working on equipment on that side of the club. I was annoyed so when to a different club nearby where everything was working correctly.

I went to this gym for a month while I was in town for the holidays. It's pretty clean, and even during the busiest periods there's plenty of equipment to go around. The staff is friendly and I always feel welcome to ask a question. It's very well-equipped. Other patrons are respectful, I rarely see anyone use equipment without wiping it down afterwards. There are two reasons for only four stars -
1. Some of the equipment is aging, and some parts that should be adjustable are stuck. Also, the exercise bikes' pedals "stick" while riding them, making them unenjoyable to ride.
2. I tried to use the massage chairs once and there was a bit of an ant problem in that room. I saw 3-4 ants crawling around on the chairs.
Overall, I enjoyed using this gym and would recommend it to a friend.

Judgement free zone, no way, especially if you’re an athlete or competitive body builder training for a competition. While doing high volume legs, 40-70 reps per set, 4 sets per round, I was tired, breathing hard and pushing my physical limits. Except I was suddenly stopped and told by the lowest level employee to be quiet like I was in a library.

Look at the pics. The place is empty. Why? Because athletes set the tone, give motivation and hope to those trying to change their physique. Us athletes are the standard of motivation and hope, but driving us away means your left with old out of shape people lost in a concept with no hope.

There’s a reason this place is empty. Unlike my home gym, where the staff and members observed my transformation to a nationally qualified bodybuilder, supported me, and I inspired young and old members to challenge themselves to improve, this gym silenced an athlete in a judgmental way making me never want to return.

So sad, and management should be embarrassed! Go to a different Planet Fitness or another brand. Abandon this location so it will close!

Previously I visited the gym from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, but it has not been a good experience with that shift, the reception is sometimes a chaos of noise of boys gathered talking very loudly, they are very cold and the cleanliness of the bathroom is not the best of all, however now I go from 4:00 am to 6:00 am and I feel more comfortable, everything is clean.
A lot of tranquility and you can breathe a good air, the boys are very nice and charismatic, they always greet your entrance and exit with a smile, that is appreciated, I will not hesitate to continue coming at that time.

Water fountains could use some maintenance.
Two stations, one high and one lower to the ground. The higher one's water bottle refil does not work meaning you have to use the lower handicap fountain to fill your bottle. This lower station is also visibly moldy under the drain plate.
Edit: saw there is a review about this two months ago.
Edit: owner told ME to notify gym. Did, they said they already placed an order and the tech who came out couldn't resolve.
This location is just run down.
