This location is very clean, I rarely see equipment with an out of order sign, and the employees are super nice.

I saw one review where a girl was complaining about the cleanliness of a tanning bed, however, it’s your responsibility to clean the bed before and after you use it. There’s even a sign in each tanning room stating that and cleaning spray and paper towels provided for you to use so idk what her deal was.

In my experience, the shower curtains are short to the point someone can easily see and watch you while you shower. Also the female employee will also listen in while you’re showering and getting dressed. Never going back.

*I got a response to my post asking me to email them, funny that seems to be just so it appears they rectify the situation. You do not get a response. I made the decision to stop utilizing this location. It's dirty and the management is extremely unprofessional and rude.

This morning I went to Planet Fitness to tan, and once again the bed was dirty. I even commented that I wanted to clean it myself because it’s always dirty. Instead of addressing the issue, the manager on site was extremely unprofessional and told me she didn’t appreciate my comment.

As a paying member, I don’t appreciate using a facility that isn’t maintained properly. Rather than getting defensive, management should focus on fixing the situation—keeping equipment clean and making sure members have a safe, sanitary environment, cleanliness went out the door less than 6 months of opening.

I've been a Planet Fitness member for over 10 years and have visited locations all across the country—and this one has easily been my favorite. I've been coming here since it first opened, and what really sets it apart is how clean and quiet it always is. It’s rarely crowded, which makes for a great workout experience. My wife had been trying to get me in the gym with her, so a week ago I did! Jeff, the trainer who was on that afternoon, gave me a tour. He was AMAZING! He took time explaining the different equipment, answering my bazillion questions, and most importantly, he asked what were my goals, my reason for joining. Jeff made it feel really laid-back but with really fancy equipment, and I joined right then. You can't beat $30/mo for all that you get, you know that, right?!? Thank you JEFF! 😊

this is by far the best planet fitness I ever been in. I live in st augustine and go to the one off of st augustine Road. That one is very nice. This one is by far the best I ever been to and I’ve been to them all over the country. I travel for work.

Diyanna Williams the manager is very unprofessional. I was trying to get assistance over the phone being I’m having issues medically getting around and did not believe I needed to bring that up. She was no help, VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO BE A MANGER OF ANY COMPANY BECAUSE IF YOU CANT HANDLE SOMEONE COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMETHING THEY PAY FOR, which helps you get paid , then you need to find another job!
She put me on hold in a middle of a conversation then lied and said the phone was disconnected. The calls are recorded and I pray your corporate sees this and listens to that call cause yes I had time today. Next time learn how to be professional like I was .

Very clean and peaceful gym compared to the other PFs. The staff is amazing especially Lavender. Despite the hours being 24/5+ and not 24/7, this is the best. It also has the glute bridge machine which other PFs don't have.

The location itself is good. It's my 1st gym workout since 1994 HS. I always preferred doing things as a workout like sports, manual labor, etc.
I have only been twice. I don't have a lot to review on location. My big issue is corporate customer service. FB Messenger was very judgmental with my concerns while blowing me off. Online contact blew me off as well. It was a corporate question and they just said ask the manager at your location. Nothing to do with location. Neither of them gave me contact information to reach the manager either.

This is the cleanest and largest gym in the city of Jacksonville, there are many exercise equipment, there is no garbage or dirt anywhere! Very attentive staff, while I was taking care of my health, the staff were constantly cleaning the territory of this center! Great spa area for black card holders! The general manager needs to issue a bonus to employees who worked on May 9, 2024 at 11 pm for excellent work!!! The manager would do well to think about installing a weighing station to monitor clients' weight before and after exercise👌

Fun fact this is the biggest Planet Fitness in the city of Jacksonville and a lot of people are unaware of that which is why I started going because when I need a machine it's actually available when I need a squat rack it's available when I need the bench it's available the best part once I'm done with a workout a shower is always available there's plenty of those too

Earlier this year I switched over to the black card so I could visit other Planet Fitness Centers. I worked out at PF on Norwood Ave several times and ran into a female I started calling Planet Fitness Karen. When I switched from regular membership to the black card my photo did not transfer over. Every time I would check-in using my cell phone when she was at the front counter, she would hassle me for additional ID. After three separate times I had enough of this Karen. I told the gym staff I would never again workout at their gym again. What is even more stupid is that all of my information comes up once I check-in for them to see but this Karen is obsessed with seeing a photo. I have worked out at several PFCs, and no one has hassled me simply because of a missing photo. I even had a staffer tell me "How do we know that you are not using some else membership card?" This is the kind of nonsense I had to deal with. The crazy part is PF Norwood is not even my home gym. I am so glad that I don't have to deal with the drama queen circus anymore.

Called to asked questions and got rudeness from some male employee. I got a whole attitude. I refuse to go any place that I don't get good customer service. I will take my business elsewhere. Planet Fitness won't get anything out of me.
After the phone call I reviewed from a "manager" I'll definitely take my business elsewhere. My issue wasn't resolved & I'll tell people to go elsewhere for fitness/customer service/all their workout needs

I was so excited when this location opened up. The gym I belonged to previously did not survive the pandemic, which left this community severely lacking good options for exercise within a reasonable distance from home. With this location being only five minutes away, I can easily manage at least five workouts a week. I travel for work and I've visited several locations so far and the Norwood location is by far my favorite. The staff are all friendly, engaging and always available to assist or answer questions. The "no judgement" zone really does exist at this location. And the Black Card Spa is wildly beneficial!
