Earlier this year, me and the manager of this store butted heads. They kicked me out of the gym because I was wearing jeans, However, my jeans did not have any metal struts or zippers on the outside that would “ Damage the machines”

Now, after coming back to the gym after said incident and reactivating my account that they had no business deactivating. They without my permission or consent sign me up for a black card. I called the receptionist who hung up on me two times, That I did not request this card I did not sign up for the black card. There is no reason I should be charged for one. I had to tell her 3 or 4 different times this information. She then told me that she will let her manager know and that he’s in a meeting. I let them know that this is really bad and I would like an answer. She then hung up on me for the second time at that point.

By far, one of the worst gyms. The staff can be very friendly but when you have any issues and bring it to them they get very combative.

I see a bunch of bad reviews about this place and I can say I have never had these issues! The lady and man at the front desk when I go in around 8:45 AM are always super friendly. They always greet you on the way in and out. They seem genuinely friendly.The place is always clean and cool. The beds hydro beds have been having a few issues but other than that I have no complaints! I’m very self conscious and being here i don’t feel judged at all, by staff or others working out.

It’s hot in there. The employee at desk was extremely rude, even though I was trying to sign up. He acted like I was annoying him for asking about signing in. He didn’t offer to show me anything. I asked if I could show my daughter the black card services and he immediately told me I could do it but she couldn’t and that I needed to read my contract. That’s when I knew I didn’t want to go here. The advertisement for the black card is extremely misleading if you read the contract- you can only go to other gyms 10 times a month and they can charge you fees for over that. Guest cannot use black card amenities. You have to send in a hand written note by mail to cancel membership.

I am very disappointed with the service at this Planet Fitness location. Some of the staff, especially the person working today around 5 PM, were unprofessional and showed clear disrespect. Unfortunately, there are signs of racist behavior from certain staff members, which is unacceptable in any business, especially a gym that promotes itself as a “judgment free zone.”

I tried to address the issue, but the staff didn’t want to do anything about it. Because of this, I’ve decided to cancel my membership. There are many other gyms that provide better service, more respectful staff, and a truly welcoming environment.

I left a pair of rings in the locker room on Friday night and another member turned them into the front desk. I realized Saturday morning that I’d left them behind but I was already a few hours away as I was traveling and they said that they would hold my rings for me. On Monday before my flight out, I stopped in and picked up my rings. Can’t thank you enough, these are family rings, absolutely priceless to me.

This is the PF closest to me. I initially came in months ago to join but it was unbelievably warm, I assumed the A/C wasn't working. I left and came back a week later, same thing. I just decided to go to a different location to join. I came to this location today since I was at the store nearby and needed to get some exercise in. I came in, still really hot. After 30 minutes, I got dizzy and had to get off the machine. I'm in decent condition for 49. My 18 year old daughter was hating it too. I just told her I would sit and wait. I thought I was going to faint sitting in the chair. I had to go to my car to put the A/C on. It was in the 90's today and it wasn't much cooler inside the gym. Judging by the reviews, this is the norm. No other PF are this hot. Just be warned, if you have any heat intolerance, this gym is not the one to join.

I love Planet Fitness, and this location has a nice setup. Spent an hr here only because I had to go to work. Otherwise, I could've stayed longer. I’ve gotta say, I love the Planet Fitness chain. The equipment and facilities are always great, but it’s the staff that usually make this place a gym worth coming to. That is, until staff member named Monte was so unbelievably nasty to me. I made the mistake of trying to check in while he was seemingly hitting on one of the regulars. He took an attitude with me, rolled his eyes, and did his best to let me know I was impeding on his ability to talk with “friends”.
This shouldn’t reflect on the entire store, but I did feel obligated to at least share my experience.

I've been visiting this location for about 3 months with no problem but tonight I went in at around 4 and first of all the only employees there were sitting in their car smoking weed and immediately made inappropriate remarks to me about if I was cold and asking if I wanted to tan. Then my partner and I took a shower and on the way out the 3 employees there said they had recorded us in the locker room saying one of us is a man and that they know because they have video and audio proof. Me and my partner have went here for a few months with no problems but today February 9th at 3:30 and a man in a car was smoking weed with his friend and started hitting on me asking if I was here to tan. Come to find out the two men in the car hitting on me and smoking weed offering to help me with their "medical card" were the employees. Then when I was done showering on my way out I was told by all three workers there at exactly 6:10AM told me they had video footage of me in the locker room and that it was a normal thing for planet fitness to do. They tried saying someone was exposing themself in the bathroom and tried saying it was me . They then threatened to call the cops on me for arguing that it was gross and weird to say that. Corporate will be getting a call later today after I'm off work I even have video proof of them doing this and pictures of their faces

My Experience at Planet Fitness in the Wellness Pod

As I stepped into the wellness pod at Planet Fitness, I was immediately struck by the serene atmosphere that enveloped me. The soft lighting, soothing music, and calming scents all worked together to create a sense of peace and tranquility that I had never experienced in a gym before. I knew right away that this was going to be a different kind of workout experience.

I had heard about the wellness pod at Planet Fitness from a friend who raved about the benefits of using it for relaxation and stress relief. As someone who often struggled with anxiety and tension, I was eager to give it a try. I had always found exercise to be a great way to release pent-up emotions and clear my mind, but the idea of combining physical activity with mindfulness and relaxation was a new concept for me.

I settled into one of the comfortable reclining chairs in the pod and closed my eyes, taking a few deep breaths to center myself. The gentle hum of the air purifier and the soft rustling of the leaves in the background helped me to let go of the worries and distractions that had been weighing me down. I focused on my breathing, allowing myself to sink deeper into a state of relaxation with each exhale.

After a few minutes of deep breathing, I began to move my body in gentle, flowing motions. I stretched my arms overhead, feeling the tension in my muscles slowly melt away. I twisted and turned, allowing my body to move freely and intuitively, without any judgment or expectation. The combination of movement and mindfulness was incredibly powerful, and I could feel the stress and anxiety that had been plaguing me for days begin to dissipate.

As I continued to move and breathe, I felt a sense of peace and clarity wash over me. The worries and fears that had been swirling around in my mind seemed to fade into the background, replaced by a deep sense of calm and contentment. I felt connected to my body in a way that I had never experienced before, as if I was truly inhabiting my physical form and honoring it with each movement.

After a blissful hour in the wellness pod, I emerged feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. My body felt light and energized, and my mind was clear and focused. I knew that I had found a new tool for managing my stress and anxiety, one that was both effective and enjoyable. The wellness pod at Planet Fitness had provided me with a sanctuary for relaxation and self-care, and I knew that I would be returning again and again

I really like this gym but the reason for the low ranking is because there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to take just close to 2 weeks to repair any equipment period. Planet Fitness makes enough money to be able to fix equipment within a reasonable time. I really do not believe Management nor the owner (I think his name is Chuck ) really care as long as the money is coming in. I actually don’t think that the owner will even see this review but it will also go on X (formally known as Twitter). SMH. I've been coming for about 3 weeks now. From the moment I first stepped in the staff has been friendly and helpful. Week 1, I started training with Alex working on getting strength and conditioning after battling 4 years not only for my health, but for my life. Alex met me where I was and strives to push me within my own capabilities cheering me on and motivating me to give 110%. He is personable, professional, and very knowledgeable in his field of expertise. He is highly qualified (yes I checked into his experience claims) and dedicated to the people that come through this gym.

Even on the days I do not have a scheduled class, he motivates me and encourages me through the set workouts he has created and modeled for me. I cannot express enough gratification for what an excellent addition to my weekly gym goals he has been.

I highly recommend this gym not only for the staff throughout, but for the personal trainer Alex is and strives to be for any and all of those that are either dedicated or just getting started like myself.

In just 3 weeks time, I can already tell a difference in my muscle strength and overall body condition. I look forward to continuing to work with him and learning from him for the long term.

The gym membership is worth it just for the group and one on one classes with Alex and I cannot recommend this gym enough. There is no excuse to come try out this gym and meet with Alex on some type of basis. He will meet you where you're at and set up fitness goals for you both short term and long term. Give Planet Fitness a shot for the judgement free zone AND for the personalized training Alex tailors to your personal needs. You won't regret it!!

This place is beyond unprofessional. Sharquelle and Ryan (both managers) decided to allow a women who constantly complains to freely laugh and judge a homeless women who comes into shower. Even though this women does NOT work there, they allowed her to enter the employee supply closet to grab gloves and spray all because the women was minding her business and taking a shower. They then allowed the women to go and take a picture of the homeless woman and her things while she was showering. She showed them the picture and they all started laughing. For this to be a judgement free zone, it did not feel like it. I felt very uncomfortable for the woman who just needed to take a quick shower and go on her way. She does not bother anyone and did not deserve to be harassed. When employees spoke up about it they were told “commentary is not necessary” and were proceeded to be fired for speaking out.

No tanning or red-light therapy but they advertise that they do. Said the tanning bed "will be there in March" and the red-light will be there "when they find a certified trainer". But, they still advertise both and I signed up for the black card for those 2 things. Very misleading.

Finally!! One closer to my daily commute! Alittle smaller than the other Planet Fitnesses that I normally go to. Clean and respectful atmosphere and located in a great place.... Right next door to a Publix. So i can get my groceries and workout dietary needs before I go to or after I leave the gym. Busy at the usual times. And empty at the normal time for those late night gym goers, like me.

Don't know who owns it it, but when I was going to the gym on Normandy the machines were never broke, now at the one on Dunn Avenue, every week you go into the gym a machine is broken and it takes two weeks or more to get them fixed! Don't know what the problem is but it seems that fixing the machines and having them available to people who paying their money should be a priority! Machine has been broke for atleast a month now, but if you don't have your money they will not let you come to the gym but you go in there and the machines don't work and they seem like they don't care because at the gym in the white neighborhood the machines are always working and I'm sure the same people fix the machines on Dunn Avenue! All i can say is WOW!

A little crowded, missing incline machines, and employees need to be more interactive, especially people who look lost or nervous. They also need to be attentive when they acknowledge people at the desk. Some softskills training is needed.

Love it! I go about 3:30-4:00 am. At least one of the staff members are cleaning or finishing up. Plenty of equipment and finally a location close to home. One small complaint I wish there were more abdominal machines. They’ll be closing for awhile to complete remodeling. Kinda disappointed now I have to find another solution. Looking forward to see what they will do with the place.

Wow it’s almost 90 degrees outside and it’s gotta be close to that temp inside this gym! I asked the front desk person to turn on the AC, she said “I know it’s hot but we’re not allowed to adjust the AC” HELLO…. this is Florida folks. It gets hot quickly and you should anticipate the upturns in the weather and make adjustments. The heat in here makes the sweat filled air disgusting. Not a good experience 👎

Read carefully before you sign anything, you might get tricked into something you cannot get out of easily. The fee for making sure your rate doese not go up or down will be charged even if you cancel the first week. Why pay to make sure my rate stays the same for 1 year if I did not go for more than 1 month? Not easy to cancel either. I am now locked out of gym and still getting charged with no end in sight...

A workout on the road. I am a "Black Card" member and I hit up PF's along the way when I need to do more than just walk around for exercise. Today's visit to this fitness center was great. After securing my stuff in the locker room, I did a short circuit of arms, legs and core. Then back to the locker room for a shower. The locker room is clean and tidy, the shower area was comfortable and the water flowed hot and hard. Just what I needed. Two small complaints - there's no shelf in the shower to hold stuff. Razor, mirror, that sort of thing. And the shower curtain needs replacement. Fix that and we're five stars.

This planet fitness was awful simply because of the staff . Whoever that manager was working tonight had the worst attitude. She tried to tell me my membership didn’t allow me to come here but she was letting it slide for the night … I’m a black card member and have never had an issue … later on my air pods fell in the trash and I asked for assistance and she told me to just dig through the trash didn’t offer gloves or anything . My arms are itchy and feel disgusting . The fact she allowed me to dig my hands through a bunch of rags with chemicals and sweat on them was horrible I will never go to this gym again . The service there is awful.

New gym that opened after the previous one abruptly closed. Easy and cheap to join. Very clean and spacious. Felt comfortable while working out amongst the other members. Staff members were very accommodating and courteous and answered my "million" questions without attitude. Enjoyed it so that I upgraded my membership shortly after joining. Just wish hubby would join me for a workout now. 🤔

Joined planet fitness after blink closed suddenly all the amenities will be available later on after they renovate which isn’t a big deal, I love planet fitness I almost miss blink I give PF a 5 star because of the amenities and the staff but man is this gym all of a sudden packed which just makes the workout stressful in my opinion like it’s over crowded wonder where everyone was when it was blink fitness, good for business the crowding is just my personal opinion.
