I dont get the bad comments on here people are just stupid. Ive been to Golds gym for freaking decades in 3 cities and this place is as good as any of them.Staff is friendly and helpful as can be too.
This is also the only gym Ive been to that has about 2 of every workout machine.Im impatient and dont like waiting so I love this. Since they got all the new equipment this place is legit.

What's even crazier is the manager closed my account a month ago. So why are these people still taking money from me. They give you a 1 800 number which is garbage . During covid they robbed many clients and it was on the news ..My roommate warned m, he said watch out..they will drag closing your account and keep charging you. What a scam they got going on. Not happy at all

I like this location. Please be considerate and use one machine at a time. Especially if there is only one of that machine. Other people also pay for this membership. When people hog multiple machines at a time they make others wait twice or more as long to use it. Most people who go to the gym have places to be afterward. Others may have disabilities as I do, which requires building up a momentum to be able to finish their workout. There should be a rule against this but a lot of people don't follow rules anyway. Too often people will jump from machine to machine without wiping down and leave their belongings there to save their place so nobody else can use the machine while they are on the other.
Not overly busy early morning and they have an ab machine that I can still use with carpal tunnel because you can push it without having to grip and pull. The bigger location on Normandy did not have that machine even though they are way bigger and have way more machines.

Tonight (Wednesday 8/12/25) I went to this location with my little sister (15) and father. We normally go to the Normandy location. But being that it was kinda late, we decided to try a closer location. Workout was great and initial staff was friendly. A nice man with locs at the front desk helped me and my sister out after our work out. She’s new to the gym, so I wanted to show her some of the perks that come with her membership. The man let us know we could use the hydro massage chair after the guests that were currently using it. So her and I sat at the little table by the front door, in perfect view of incoming and outgoing traffic; and of the front desk. There was a man dressed in a security uniform hanging around the front desk, conversing with the worker with the locs. I noticed him glancing at almost EVERY woman’s rear end as they passed by in that short 8 minute wait. I chalked it up to him just being a perv…I went about my business. On our way out of the black card spa, my sister (FIFTEEN) passes in front of me, her rear to the front desk, to meet up with our father. The security guard very clearly goes, “mm mm mm” as if something was tasty. My gut told me something wasn’t right. I’m not ignorant but I don’t wanna wrongly accuse anybody. The man was sharing a bowl of fruit with the front desk attendant. So I made sure, “You’re talking about that fruit right?” Is how I responded. He begins to cheese uncomfortably. The man with the locs walked to the other end of the counter, hands up in the air in a surrendering gesture—away from the security guard saying, “I’m not associated with him.” To me, that suggests front desk associate knew security guard was doing something wrong. Maybe I’m making something out of nothing. But needless to say we won’t be returning to this location, and I recommend parents with teens not come here either.

I was a new member of the PF on 103rd Jax Fl , I had been attending for 4 days. On the 4th day I was joined by my 13 and 14 year old . An hour and 15 minutes into my workout I was informed I can only have one guest. I let the guy at the front desk with long hair and glasses that I was unaware of that. He then proceeded to ask me how old were my kids and I told him . He then asked for my kids ID or birth certificate to prove it . I advised him that i don’t have those documents on me at the time . I then instructed my kids to go sit in the lobby being that I only had 5 minutes left on the treadmill. They guy from the front desk then proceeded to tell me that i needed to “get off the treadmill now” . I was treated horribly and I felt the staff were discriminating against me because I know plenty of friend who be in g their teenagers to workout and they were never asked for ID or birth certificate for their children . The next day I got a call from angel that works for PF and was advised my membership was cancelled and I could never return to the franchise again. My membership was still cancelled even though i let him know that I am aware of the guest procedures and it was a simple misunderstanding. The staff are rude and very unwelcoming and treat the members like they are not paying customers. For me to not ever be able to go back because I was unaware of the guest procedure’s is insane and they won’t be open king if they keep banning people for minor issues and misunderstanding. If I could give 0 stars I would .

I usually refrain from leaving negative reviews, but today I feel compelled to share my experience. I visited this location with high expectations due to its stellar reviews. However, upon arrival, I encountered difficulties obtaining a free guest pass as advertised online. Despite explaining my situation to the woman, "Angel," at the front counter, she rudely insisted on selling me a day pass instead. Her refusal to accommodate me, coupled with her dismissive attitude, left a sour impression. It's disappointing when staff prioritize profits over customer satisfaction.

First time here as I am a traveler for business. Great staff. Always the best part of Planet Fitness. Feel is new and clean. Hot water in the shower helps sore muscles. Thank you! I will look forward to some kind of seating in the locker room and hooks at the showers. I am a healthy and agile 60 year old. I am not sure how anyone with limitations can navigate the shower area with no chair, towel hooks, tiny table or anything in changing room. Where do I put my earrings? I hopped on one foot on wet floor to put my shoes on since there's nowhere to sit. Good exercise. I'm sure you will get the details soon.

Was ok with this location until my guest and I used the black club membership massage chairs(like we have on every visit) for some reason the manager today decided they can only turn one chair on because she is not a black card member and just my guest . The gym is empty yall lost a lot of business not like there is a line to use the massage chairs but the racist supervisor on duty today on 1/9/2024 decided she wants to make a big deal out of us using the massage chairs together,for limited equipment and options for workout. She should be happy people like myself are still doing business there and keeping her employed. Cancelled membership and they better not take another dime as other reviews stated I’ll stay at the better gyms

There are plenty of machines to use here. Depending on your workout routine, there are more machines for cardio exercises than for body sculpting. The 103rd Street gym has just finished some remodeling and has a free weight section. Black card services and products are available.

The particular location was closed for about 5 months (I think) and I just went in at the beginning of this month and it is all brand new and open. The black card area is to the right, right past the desk which I think is better and safer because before it was like a weird dark hallway on the other side of the gym. Bathrooms are always dirty. The blonde manager at the front is very unwelcoming. Then today I go in and I’m told “oh you’ve reached your 10 visit limit for the month at this location” MAKE IT MAKE SENSE . This is the only franchise that has done this. How can you limit someone’s visit amount when they pay a monthly for a black card membership and I’m paying a club fee once a month. Doesn’t even make sense. I go the gym more than 10 times a month. I workout 5-6 days a week. I shouldn’t be limited to how many times I can come workout. I’ve been to plenty others planet fitness locations and when I say this is the most outrageous thing I’ve ever heard. This location is horrible anyway, from the shootings that have happened around this location to the rough people walking around and laying around loitering outisde of the gym, to the people who walk up to your car knocking on your windows asking for money. This location is a joke.

Awesome workout, as always. Very clean facility. I'm always satisfied when I go. The only issue I have is that the massage chair or bed can not be used by a guess. These two items are always vacant when I go there. I have no problem waiting if they are occupied because they have a time limit. I was asked to leave today after just signing back up, over a previous membership I had paid 13 months on and never went to the gym once... stopped paying so it was cancelled. I had paid $364.07 and not used their facility once. Signed back up and was told today I had to pay $51 or leave immediately. Mind you I'm standing their on crutches from recent ankle surgery, explaining all the money I had paid them previously, that I just had surgery and needed to rehab my leg badly. They don't care, Angel would rather cancel my membership over a little $51 then ever make another dime off me again. Stu-pid.

I'd like to first make the suggestion to anyone wanting to join to thoroughly read the fine print and all rules before joining this gym. They will expect you to know everything and all rules when you join and not inform you of anything but basic rates upon joining. Now, when it comes to my personal rating and review, I'd give the gym a 0 if I could. They allow people of the opposite gender in the bathroom. I did not realize this when I joined the gym. I didn't read the fine print. I found out when I went into the women's bathroom and there was a man in there. I felt uncomfortable with this after I was aware, so I cancelled my policy with the front desk. When filling out the cancellation, THEY ASKED ME why I was leaving, I said that there was a man in the women's restroom and I didn't feel comfortable with that. A few days later, my account was flagged, the manager banned me from using the gym, she said there were several complaints about me saying I was harassing the staff, when all i did was cancel my account, the manager is one of the rudest and most unpleasant people I have ever come into contact with, not only does she LIE and make things up to get you kicked out, but if you have a concern about there being a man in the restroom, don't plan on bringing it to their attention or you will be cancelled, lied about, and banned from the gym, and if you like dealing with incompetent staff that can only parrot the lines given to them on a script - go to planet fitness, their staff is severely undertrained and another thing is I can join over the phone, website or on site but cannot cancel except in person. In my opinion that is a SCAM business practices as well as charging hidden fees. There are much better gyms out there that can be trusted, this is not one of them.

I could not ask for a better place to spend my free time. The most affordable therapy! The staff has become like family. They care! The manager Anjel ensures that her members have a clean, safe, respectful and positive place to exercise. The trainer, Brendan does an incredible job holding classes that work for everyone of all strength and skill levels. He is eager to design programs tailored to your needs as an individual. The staff as a whole get to know their members on a first name basis. I am beyond grateful to belong to the best PF in Jax!

You try so hard to sell people on your black card membership but then you're extremely rude when they bother you to use the black card services. The ONLY thing I got the black card membership for was the tanning and hydromassage. Period. You have to go to the desk to tell someone you want to use the equipment. That's fine with me. But at THIS specific club and ONLY this specific club, the white girl with long wavy brown hair at the front desk seems annoyed when you all her for anything. Whether it's using the tanning or the hydro or buying a beverage.... she seems thoroughly annoyed and like she doesn't want to be there. This was a recommendation from my cousin in Pensacola. She has a FB Group to help encourage, motivate, and keep accountable all our fitness goals. Thanks for the head's up cuz. This location is between my husband's job and on the way home so it seemed a good fit to be able to meet up weekly and share the drive. Location has a ton of parking as it off a main shopping plaza. The signage is huge and you can't miss it. The staff is always friendly and greet each guest upon entry. It is great to see the staff going around consistently cleaning the equipment and there are napkins and cleaning sprays at key spots for self service too. The lighting is perfect and there are security cameras in public places for peace of mind. The lay-out of the stretch station, from 30 min. work out areas, to a ton of equipment and options is ideal. The public restrooms are spacious with lockers, showers and such. I absolutely love the APP and it shows the Crowd Meter so if your not feeling so social, one could plan a visit accordingly. Signing up online or in person is so easy. You have to check it out! I highly recommend the Black Card to take advantage of the benefits of the hydro water massage chairs. There is one you sit in like a lounger and the other you lay flat on like a bed. Man, after running, bicycling, lifting etc...to be able to wind down and cool down before driving back home, is ideal!! Consistency is key and if you workout 30 min. every other day, its got to be better then nothing right? Another plus, there is savings through the APP that is a big help when funds are tight and you need a different size workout wear. Yes, you may need it when you get your fitness on! LOL! It is great to be able to go to any location in any state too. Traveling and want to stay on the ball. No problem with Planet Fitness. Even though you come to this planet fitness, to work out, theirs no truck parking. First planet fitness I go to in the 48 state that i have to pay a ticket of $598 for parking in front of their gym. I didn't have a trailer I was bobtail. How can we can keep on coming to this planet fitness to work out if we are going to have to pay ticket for parking in a planet Fitness. Hope management can reimburse this ticket. Everyone has to remember that everything we have is because a truck driver delivered it to your local stores. Damm so now I know that if you are a truck driver you can't workout unless you have $600 to pay a parking ticket. Remember without a healthy truck driver, the roads are not safe and can deliver on time. Being healthy it should be everyone goal.

I usually frequent the Normandy location Where I never have any issues but on 6/22/22 my cousin invited me and my husband and my children to visit the 103rd location, from the moment we entered the building we received an unwelcoming experience the counter associates didn’t speak but stood up and stared at us for a few seconds then the black guy with dreads or braids walked over and grabbed the membership barcode scanner held it out while holding his head down only to look up at the computer and say nothing each time membership or guest passes scanned

Then before leaving I asked who or how do I get the hydro massage turned on same guy then stands out and say massage chairs are for members only with a condescending attitude I comment myself and my son are both members his says we’ll show me and he walks back to the counter and grabs the scanner again in the same manner as before, this entire experience was ruin for me and my family I will never recommend anyone to visit 103rd location or will I return

And this not a cry out for race bating as I and my entire family are all black this is just and example poor customer service, poor customer experience, and a poor example of how to treat the people you are there to service and who also pays your salary

This is a compact gym, but they have the nicer Life Fitness Equipment. The staff and management have always treated me respectfully and with a smile. The gym is also MUCH cleaner than it was a few years ago. The staff does a great job of keeping everything shiny. It's not as busy mid-morning as some of the other local PF locations, and since I teach yoga nearby during the week, I prefer to stop in here vs other locations to avoid the crowds.

Management worked to resolve the matter and although I dkdnt continue with my membership the effort to address is appreciated. Facilities are nice and for the most part staff is chill while using guest services.

Horrible first experience, can't lie. Went in with my sister cus she spoke well of the place. Issue came up cus she didn't have her membership active so they didn't let her in. So cus SHE didn't have her stuff MY membership wouldn't work. All this comes up AFTER I pay of course so it really felt scam like and uncomfortable for a first experience. Make sure if you want to cancel that’s it’s at least a week before they due payment date. They start taking payments out a WEEK beforehand. Even though they tell you that you can come cancel anytime. They do whatever they can to squeeze as much money out of you as they can. Wouldn’t recommend planet fitness period. You get what you pay for and that’s why this is the cheapest, because the service is the cheapest also.

I felt entirely comfortable here at my first time in a gym. It was clean and the atmosphere was comforting. The staff was helpful and answered all my questions. They didn't make me feel like I asked to many questions. I've always tried to do my workouts at home with little success but I felt like the gym environment is more empowering for success.

This one is not a good representation of the rest of Jax planet Fitnesses. Its only open until 7 pm on Friday and Saturday. Seriously? So skip this place. Then the girl at the desk eager to go home was snippy. We had never been to this location its not layed out like the rest and she got snotty with us. Never have I been treated like that at PF. I wont visit this location again. Normandy location rocks! Go there.
