I’m very grateful for Planet Fitness. Their massage chair and hydromassage have truly been a blessing. On several occasions when I was struggling with back or shoulder pain, just three or four sessions made a remarkable difference — easing the pain and helping me heal before it could get worse. I especially appreciate that both the massage chair and the hydromassage table are included with the membership — such a thoughtful and valuable benefit. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels welcoming and supportive. I’m thankful to have a place like this where I can care for my body and find real relief.

Grumpy older lady with gray and blonde hair came up to me taking progress pictures in the corner with absolutely zero people in the back stating that there is a new policy where we cannot take pictures of ourselves in the gym mirror. Somebody to our left was literally recording her entire set with us in the background... nothing said I don’t know if it’s because we are young & she’s old but after spending two hours in the gym and paying for black card, I’m gonna take progress pics. Especially when you provide zero quality mirrors to actually take progress pictures in the bathroom they’re all dirty. Implement a full-size & clean mirrors and I will implement the no selfie role.

I’ve been a loyal Planet Fitness member at this location for over 2 years and always enjoyed my workouts—until recently. I was working out with another member that is a personal trainer and have been doing so twice a week for almost six months without any issue or objections from staff. Today, Nate, whom I’d never seen before came over rather aggressively, in a very confrontational tone and accused us of trespassing, and claimed trainers aren’t allowed and told us to leave. I was very confused and asked him to show me where this rule is stated in the membership policy that one member cannot train another member because I wasn't aware. I even checked the app and there was nothing there explaining this restriction. I thought it was allowed especially since we have been training there for months and again no one said anything and there are no signs posted anywhere so I wasn't aware I was violating any policy. Instead of clarifying or de-escalating the situation by simply asking us not to do it again, he shut down, refused to talk to us and escalated the situation even further by calling the police, and having me trespassed from the gym I’ve consistently attended for almost 3 years. I didn't raise my voice. I didn't get nasty. I just asked him to show me the policy and he initially agreed until I asked him not to talk to me in that tone anymore and it wasn't necessary for him to be so nasty to us because as far as we knew, we weren't doing anything wrong. I explained I am also a manger and do not speak to people that way and for him to understand there are real people he is directing his tone to. All we were doing was working out. He wouldn't listen and insisted we get out. Getting thrown out of the gym I've been going to for years for working out was bad enough, but now I cannot go back without getting arrested! That is ridiculous! It was totally humiliating and completely unnecessary. This staff member should not be in a customer service role. Planet Fitness corporate needs to review how their policies are communicated and how their staff treats paying members. This staff member’s behavior was completely inappropriate and reflects poorly on the Planet Fitness brand. He displayed no professionalism, no attempt at resolution, and no regard for customer service. I strongly believe this individual does not belong in a customer-facing role. I truly enjoy being a part of the Planet Fitness community, but this experience has left me insulted and disheartened. I hope that corporate takes this matter seriously and ensures that no other loyal member is subjected to such treatment.

I understand staffing costs and client usage metrics dictate that these are low volume times.

I request you evaluate leaving the facility open until 9PM, Fri , Sat , and Sun.

The physical gym is fantastic and the staff are great. But for people that have businesses or children 7 PM is too early. It is also confusing to have that many closing times.

Make it simple, 24/7 Mon-Thurs , close at 9PM other days.

No workouts on weekends!!! They close at 7PM on weekends and 9PM Fridays.

I thought it was 24/7 when I joined.

That is Monday thru Thursday.

I joined Planet Fitness on Wednesday and regret it already.

While on vacation at Madeira Beach we spent a few days getting in a morning workout. The front desk people were great to me and my wife. The gym it’s self not crowded and has plenty of equipment. No waiting to use anything. There’s also enough cleaning stations. About the only thing I would recommend is wipe off equipment before using because many others don’t clean after themselves. Can’t blame the gym for that. I highly recommend this gym.

The music they use in PF for me is a big issue. In that mostly it is not beat oriented, as it should be with fitness. It helps motivate. It seems to be some type of EDM. But not dance EDM. It's all vocal. These beatless, rhythmless songs with just wavering vocals. Just God awful. Agonizing.
Whatever management chose this is just clueless. It is so unsuitable to work out to. Much too loud as well.

Visited this gym with my black card as I’m here on vacation. Gym was clean and staff were nice. Bathrooms were clean too. Considering a monthly membership is $15 and I only had to pay $10 more to use a gym when I travel, i consider that great value and would recommend to others. Plenty of parking available.

Overall, it has everything I need without overcrowding. A couple of the morning crew are great but the rest feel like they don't want to be there. Maintenance has been an issue with things taking awhile to be addressed. But I'm just there to get my workout in. Staff is fabulous but equipment needs fixed... Total Body booth- the vibrating floor plate has been broken for months. Also one of the hydro beds has been broken for months. One of the benefits of having a black card is being able to use these extra amenities.

EDIT (4/24/25): PF has reached out a couple of times to update the progress on repairs which are now done. Here to use it tonight-thanks PF!! Staff is great as always!

Red light and vibration plate machine not working, one of the main reasons I pay an additional fee is to use this, management says the item is on backorder and works intermittently it's been over 8 months this is so terrible, executive management /owner please fix it, or buy a new one for all the customers that pay extra and want to enjoy but can't.

Nice clean gym. Employees are friendly. Wayne went above and beyond with instructions to meet my goals. Only 2 stars because red light therapy room has been out of order for the last few weeks. Repair man only available Monday or Friday. Unacceptable. One of the reasons I joined. Now I have to drive further and use some of my 10 days visiting other clubs. What's up with that? Get it together. Staff don't seem too concerned. Will be leaving if this situation isn't taken care of in a timely manner. Too bad nice place.

In response to equipment down. I did ask when the red light therapy would be fixed. They didn't know only told me days repair man is available. Planet Fitness Largo has had 6 or 7 days to date of repair man availability but still no repair. Not the first time this amenity has been out of order since I joined in February. Must be a reoccurring
problem. Getting a date for repair doesn't help my skin enjoy the benefits of red light therapy. So that isn't really the answer.

I've been a Planet Fitness member for several years. This is the first location that has ever made an issue with my having a *small backpack on the gym floor. I have a water bottle, gym gloves, towel, cellphone (app on phone required for entry by the way), headphones, car keys. It's dumb *not to put these things in a small bag. This is a stupid rule.

For the price point of this gym, it's perfect. As with all gyms, it's all about what you put in is what you get out of it. If you average 3-4 times a week coming here on a monthly basis, you are in great shape, possibly literally.

I went here since I didn't feel like driving to Harbour Island for Lifetime Fitness around 10am and it wasn't too crowded at all.

The machines were constantly keep clean and the staff was friendly.

I did not check out the locker room as I wanted my hour workout and get out so I can run errands.

I'm only giving one less star because there was only one water fountain (that I found, if there's more i'm sorry) on the gym floor.

There is plenty, plenty, plenty of parking!

Reason, I joined the planet They were a new facility and close to my house. I really like the Red Light Therapy machine with a vibration plate at first. It worked now it’s very intermittent and most the time when I go to use it it’s not working correctly. Also almost all of the machines that had digital read out have Bulbs burnt out so you can’t read the numbers correctly to tell how many calories you burnt or how long you’ve been on the Machine. It’s very disappointing seeing how it’s A relatively new business.

This was my first time here. Wifi is down due to the hurricane. No music is on in the gym. I lost pretty much all that I own in the hurricane including headphones so I was playing my phone music- reasonably not at full volume. They came and rudely told me to turn it off. They then proceeded to follow me around the gym (a female) to make sure I was not continuing to play music on my phone, which was extremely disrespectful and not mindful of my space. It's extremely offensive im being followed while I am literally just trying to work out. Then proceeded to discuss the situation jokingly at the desk. Unprofessional. I've been going to largo and Clearwater for years and have had no issues whatsoever.

I’d like to share my experience at the Largo Planet Fitness. I approached the staff member with red pigtails to ask her a question about the gym, but she was too focused on eating her food to engage with me, making the situation awkward as she didn’t respond. Fortunately, the gentleman who was working with her stepped in to help. I reminded her that she had previously claimed to be the manager, so I expected her to have the answers. Instead, she made me feel uncomfortable for even asking. I've been a member of this gym for about a year and have always had positive experiences—until now. I recently had a great experience at the Planet Fitness in Largo, Florida. The gym was clean, well-maintained, and had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable, and they made me feel comfortable and supported throughout my workout.

I was particularly impressed with Regional Manager Zoey. She was always smiling and approachable, and she took the time to get to know me and my fitness goals. She was also very helpful in providing me with advice and resources to help me reach my goals.

Clean, friendly, never busy. The perfect gym in my opinion. Just started going this year, and I love it there! It's worth it to get the blackcard upgrade for the tanning beds and massage chairs/beds. There are plenty of machines to work out on, I never have to wait for a machine. The staff is super nice and will answer literally any questions you have for them. When you sign up, the app is helpful with keeping track of your fitness journey. Would highly recommend this gym for beginners looking to get started into their fitness program.

I’ve been a planet fitness member for at least 4 years and never had any issues .
Most part of the time the staff is always very very nice and understands small problems .
However, at this unit I found a “mr correct “ who seems wanting to follow each rule very very strictly.
Everybody knows the rules are there to avoid inconvenient people but I think is nice having some sense specially when we are not bothering anyone .
It’s a gyms rule you can’t work out without headphones and I completely understand however, I unfortunately forgot mine this time ( I’m a human ) and I had an online appointment with my trainer by video call .
I set up the sound at the minimum and I can guarantee nobody at the gym could hear my trainer, nobody was complaining , specially the music was very very loud around me , I could barely listen my trainer we were communicating using our hands , but “mr correct “ decided I was out of the rules and made me cut off my call and interrupt my training .
Again , I wasn’t bothering anyone and my phone was pretty much at the minimum . Nobody had complained.
Thanks a lot! Instead off having a nice time I’ve got same annoying rules and behavior from expensive gyms which only makes life worst and difficult .
Poor behavior, poor attitude, lack of empathy.
I think some people have such an empty life so they must to wake up, start their day and pretend they are the good guys and bother everyone around just to feel their life have some sense and purpose . Planet Fitness allowing teenagers to come to the gym unsupervised is by far one of their WORST marketing techniques! The gym literally looks and sounds like a teen nightclub all day, even at 11 PM, which used to be a quiet time to come in and work out. Crowded and LOUD. It’s an insult to those of us who PAY monthly to exercise here. Meanwhile these kids get in for free, crowd the machines and the free weight areas standing around just talking for hours. Their parents drop them off at the door and go on about their day/night. This apparently is their free babysitter. It’s nearly impossible to get a decent workout in as a PAYING CUSTOMER. Do better, Planet Fitness!

The employees are great, especially the manager and Daniel. However, I'm seeing way too many members not following the rules, with gym bags on the floor and not wiping down the equipment. The latest annoying trend is members using/tying up multiple machines at once. I suggest that you have an employee walk around and enforce the rules so everyone can have a positive experience and enjoyable workout. Also, the facility is starting to look run down with peeling wallpaper and broken treadmill displays.

I recently relocated to Florida from Upstate NY. The guys were very friendly and professional that work there. I transferred my black card membership from NY to this franchise. I like this gym because it has a good focus on the rehabilitation part...in fact the massage beds and chairs have recovered me and I can say that my workouts are more fun...the cleanliness is acceptable and the staff is good. I recommend it.
(As a suggestion...when black card clients arrive from other gyms...you explain to them that it is only 10 days a month...and you tell them when they arrive at your gym.)

Buyer beware!! If you decide to sign up with this place just know that if and when you are ready to cancel, they will bill you for an additional month of service post cancelation. Read your contract fully before signing. I was out of the country and upon returning, I went to the facility to cancel my membership as I am moving to crossfit. I cancelled on the 13th and they billed me the 18th (after cancelation) and refuse to refund my money (they also require a debit card for monthly payments vs a credit card). I spoke to the manager Trey who was no help at all and who wos not willing to budge "as this is there policy" regardless of personal and individual reasons for not canceling before the 10th. Also, they use a 3rd party merchant for billing. This place is a joke!

My husband & I both go to this gym ! We both been going to different gyms for years and this is definitely our favorite location! Best staff ever ! I give a lot of credit, this gym might not be the biggest or have a pool and all the fancy machines, but you know what this gym does have THE RIGHT PEOPLE running it! Not once was I interrupted by some gym bro to teach me how to work on my form “which is fine already” this place is more like a second home especially after a hard day at work. So come in , sign up, blast music and get to lifting!

When I was in training with Wayne (the pt at this location) it was great he’s an amazing, understanding and just great trainer overall. In my opinion more trainer should have the enthusiasm as Wayne. I frequently visit the Clearwater area, and always look forward to using the Planet Fitness club on Seminole Blvd in Largo. Brandi is the manager, and is very friendly and professional. Her team always greets me and makes me feel welcome. The locker rooms are clean, and the fitness machines maintained among the best I've seen.

It's a newer club, located in a pleasant, safe-feeling shopping plaza with ample parking. The club also features small lockers with built-in combination blocks on the main floor for security. I always use them for storing valuables, which removes any worry while exercising.

I have visited many Planet Fitness locations around the country. Brandi's club in Largo is among the best. I highly recommend as a home club, or when visiting.

I've been a member for over a year now, with this being my primary location- however, I have been to a few in the area and in other cities in Florida, as well, with this being the best by far.

Facility:
This location is consistently clean, with all equipment functioning properly, friendly staff, and a comfortable and welcoming fitness environment, 24/7.

Classes:
I usually enjoy solo workouts, but recently started participating in their group classes in which Wayne is the Trainer. I am so glad that they brought him on board- he is absolutely amazing!!! Wayne does not just "go through the motions," as you may often find a trainer doing in group sessions at public gyms. He helps you understand why you're doing the exercise, what muscles it targets and where the mind-muscle connection should be- all of which is vital to properly build muscle and gain strength. You can tell Wayne also genuinely cares about the group participants and their individual abilities and goals. He wastes no time getting to know you and your current state of health, in order to meet you exactly where you are. Thanks Wayne!

It's very noticeable that this location is managed extremely well from the top-down, and their practices (whatever they may be lol) that lead to continuous improvement are worth noting.

Great location! As soon as you walk in the door someone is always behind the counter to greet you and they say good by when your leaving. For sure the friendliest and cleanest gym I have ever been at, they're constantly cleaning. Also they provide multiple cleaning stations with paper towels and sanitizer for you to wipe down the equipment when your done using it. Good selection of equipment.
