PF is kind of known for non serious gym people. The Leesburg Florida facility is filled with ripped prior military/LE and is home to Harcore Intensity. The manager Brooke is awesome her and the entire crew keep the place fun, fitness oriented and spotless. Rarely have any broken equipment and its fixed asap. All of the employees are very helpful and pleasant ! I had a problem and was sent to Leesburg to sign up because they did not recognize my insurance. I absolutely love this Planet Fitness! All of the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help whenever I have a question. The classes are great, and the trainer, Ashton, is wonderful — motivating, knowledgeable, and always positive. The gym is spotless every time I come in; even the bathrooms are consistently clean and well stocked. I also really enjoy the Black Card amenities — the massage chairs and hydro loungers are a perfect way to relax after a workout. Overall, an excellent gym with a great atmosphere!

Pro's - Friendly staff doing their best to put a band aid on an older building.
Cons - The leg curl and leg extension machines are high use and occasionally broke down for repair. Need a second leg extension machine badly. I zig zag to different machines and keep working out but once a week I can't get my full leg routine in.

Inadequate air circulation in the back rooms - There are no overhead fans back in these rooms, maybe it is not possible. If that's the case perhaps Planet Fitness have standing fans that could be used or some other solution They may have fixed the air conditioner which was having issues for a while so there has been an improvement.

Locker room visitors? Occasionally I see people using the bathroom/shower area who I do not see out on the work out floor.

This place sucks the manager is the rudest, i was on the walk machine and no one around me so i was talking on my earbuds and two girls camt to me like bouncers and told me i could be on the phone now it was my frost time and had no idea about being on the phone and that there was a specific place if you need to talk cause none of them told me that or even gave me a your so i didn't know, so i was kicked out of the gym and spoke to district manager and he never got back to me so after trying to reach him he got there legal department to threaten me with a trespass and supposedly sent a letter to the local police, i wanted an apology from the manager that was rude and spoke to me like very belittling, i would not recommend this place as longas those uneducated people are there. You know who you are.

I was charged a yearly fee when I joined-despite the fact I questioned why I was being charged the yearly anyway. I’ve since been in contact with Silver Sneakers who confirmed they have a contract that pays that yearly fee. Since then I’ve contacted management who said I paid it-they weren’t reimbursing it! Contacted corporate who is currently escalating the case. I joined another planet fitness in another town AND WAS NOT CHARGED THE ANNUAL FEEL! This location is double charging people-JOIN AT ANY OTHER PLANET FITNESS EXCEPT THIS ONE! ….

Was there as a visitor and did not know there was a fee since I am not a black card member. Staff was courteous, professional and helpful in explaining the situation and processed the visitor fee to my card on file with no problem. They were a pleasure to deal with. I’ve been a member of Planet Fitness for a few months now, and I couldn’t be more pleased! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the “judgment-free zone” really lives up to its promise. I’ve never once felt out of place or self-conscious, which makes a huge difference.

I just moved to the area from Tampa. This is my new home gym. Danny, Nathan, Morgan, and the other ladies (forgot their names) are very nice and welcoming. They are constantly cleaning which is nice. For me, compared to other PF I have been to, this one seemed darker inside, less Lighting and windows. The equipment actually seemed older and only one of each specific machine, which led to waiting around for someone to finish (prior gyms had 2 of each machine and more types). They have individual TVs on the treadmills (which you change by a universal remote) but no large TVs on the walls. So, after I run on the treadmill, I can't watch the games, scores, or news for the remainder of my work out. A nice mix of crowd. Was not super busy when I went. I just wish more people would clean the machines when they are done (common everywhere), a few guys where talking on their cellphones in the area where it said "no cellphone use, only in lobby", and a few guys used 3 machines at once without any enforcement. Give them a try. I will continue to work out here as the only other option is the one in The Villages and I will be the youngest one there lol. :p

Berated simply for using my own attachments on cables & having my backpack with me to carry such attachments.

For the sake of not waiting or aimlessly wondering around to find attachments (as many gyms I go too seem to have NONE) I carry my own in my backpack , & exclusively use them which mean I’m not taking any from other members.

Manager decided to bother me about this saying “planet fitness policy” but couldn’t give me an actual reason.

I work in gyms, I know the locker room theft rate. My bag wasn’t in anyone’s way, I’ve seen peoples sweaters z& water be more of a tripping hazard.

They’ve also removed all the perfectly usable hammer strength equipment with no reasoning & replaced it all with cheaper matrix equipment. I actually liked this location up until this happened. Bring 1 of only 2 gyms in the area seems like they think they can act however they want because people have no other options.
