This is one of the nicer planet fitnesses I’ve been to. The gym was clean and well lit. They do have a limited selection of dumbells though and I couldn’t find an Abb twist machine. Bathrooms were clean.

I am writing to report an issue I observed Thursday involving an employee named Brandon. For several hours, he stood at the front desk without assisting customers or acknowledging requests. I informed him multiple times that the bottles were empty and needed to be refilled, but he did not respond or take any action. Instead, he appeared to be watching ESPN on his phone while two other employees handled all of the work on their own.

This lack of engagement created an unprofessional atmosphere and placed unnecessary pressure on the rest of the staff. I wanted to bring this to your attention so it can be addressed appropriately.

We didn't know what to expect after reading the reviews about out-of-order equipment but I am posting because our experience was better than many of the reviews. We travel via motorhome and use many different PF locations. While it's not a big deal, it bears mentioning that there was no one at the desk to make sure we scanned in and we didn't see any staff during the 45 minutes we were there. We saw only one out-of-order sign but were overall satisfied with all the other equipment and the facility in general.

08/01/23 I really like the Gym except the bathrooms they are soo dirty. You would expect to have a nice shower after working out but it's a nightmare. It's really dirty.

Equipment always broken and stays broken for months. Black card amenities usually down or out of order. Staff stay at the desk chatting even when black card stuff is down, no cleaning I would guess until after hours, you don’t see them cleaning during open hours. Plus Covid limited hours still. ONE BIG complaint, when something goes down like the stair climbers and other machines it seems to take months to get them repaired. Very disappointed about that as it does make it hard to get a workout in on busy days. Currently only one of the two rowers is working. I have been coming to this fitness center since opening day about 3 years ago. I can honestly say that the manager that have now, after all the ones they have been through, is absolutely the best. His name is, Kenny and the other young man, Nicholas, a very professional kind young man willing to help at whatever you need and is always keeping the place spotless! From the start of joining it was clear that there was no management at this club. I had gone to the Phoenix, AZ, clubs until moving to Florida and never had these issues. Half of the treadmills were always out of service, as well as the cleaning stations, two of the 3 sinks in the women's bathroom didn't work, a leg machine was falling apart, and the lockers outside the bathrooms were either not working or falling apart. I complained to the "management" and it took about 2 months to rectify these issues. We've moved to a different club at this point. I've been going to gyms since the 80s and never saw a gym so out of order. Giving it 2 stars only because they finally resolved the issues.

Probably the only issue I have is that when machines are broke, it takes forever for them to get fixed… there has been a leg machine that has been broke down for about three months now. It takes way too long for repairs on broken down machines…🤬 The last time I was there, which was April 30 I went in the men’s bathroom and in the handicap stall was no TP, Went up to the front desk three people were sitting there, notified one of the workers and she Said OK turned around and went back to all three of them just standing there sitting there talking…

This is the worst planet fitness i've ever been. The employees are %100 clueless. The water fountain was out of order for over a month, they are not open 24 hours. The gym is filthy, they also kept charging me after i cancelled my membership and i did not have a contract. They are now refusing to give my money back and will not answer the phone. UPDATE -3/24/2025. The only two leg extension machines are now OUT OF SERVICE. This place always has multiple.pieces of equipment OOS at any given time. Lord knows how long it will take to get these two pieces of equipment back online. Thank God there is a new planet fitness opening on 41E in the Mr. Tequila parking lot!

1/2/2025. Now there are approximately 10 treadmils O.O.S. and the other pieces of equipment are still out of service since my last update.

12/18/2024 Chest press OOS for at least 2 months. See photo.

9/24/2024 - Continuous equipment O.O.S. Not for a couple of days or a couple of weeks but for months at a time. Wierd as they have a repair guy show up weekly. Water fountain has been busted for well over a month now. One of the two urinals out of service for at least 3 weeks. One of the sinks in bathroom out of service. There is a leak in the bathroom ceiling with a bucket catching rain water, which has been leaking for well over a year. How difficult is it to call in a plumber of handyman to fix a couple of basic plumbing issues? And why does it take months to get any of the equipment repaired? And while im at it, the really need to habe staff walking around and reminding people to now put dumbells and other weigjts on the benches as they will tear and go out of service as well. Maybe a few signs? And lastly, and i might be repeating myself from a pervious post, but i see many people take 3 or 4 sets of dumbells into the corner to work out with. Now no one else can use these weights. Terrible gym etiquette. Do a set and return them to where you got them.

3/14/2024 - Multiple pieces of equipment out of service for quite some time. Weird they don't get repaired forthwith as they have a repair guy in there weekly. Not a big deal with the treadmills as they have like 50 of them. But one smith machine totally oos and two other partially oos. More issues with cables cross overs. I also find it odd that nearly every piece of equipment is turned away from the mirrors. Most people would like to see how their form is, bar placement etc. Not here tho. They turn the equipment away from the mirrors.

10/6/2023. Seems the smith machine finally repaired. I was out of town for a couple of months so not sure when it was fixed, but it was OOS for well over 6 months.

7/8/2023. One of the Smith Machines out of service for approximately 6 months with no end in sight as far as repairs.

1/12/2023 Cable cross overs finally fixed.

Decent basic gym, especially for cardio. Typical Planet Fitness. All machines. Dumbells only free weights. My major peeve is all the cable cross overs have been broken and in disrepair for over 3 months. (I added the rest after reading a few other reviews)They need someone walking around to remind people not to put weights on the benches, to not walk away with dumbells to the other side of the gym, and to not use two or more piece of equipment or dumbells at the same time. Some clown was using 3 different pieces of equipment at the same time. Lastly, they could use a few "plate trees" by the smith machines to organize the weight plates. They frequently have 45 lbs plates covering 25 lbs plates or six 10 lbs plates coving other weights.

This PF needs a deep clean, not like many others I have been to that are super clean. , they have started a deep clean last week. The Ab machine has been broken for almost a year, they replaced it finally, the machine they chose is not very comfortable. The water fountain has been broken for months and when it did work there was always gum in it and just generally filthy. Bathrooms are anlw disgusting. 1 star because there's nothing less. They steal your money. Don't give them your banking/card info EVER! I have been trying to get my money back for 2 months now.... Since I froze my acct beginning of December 2024. I'm out over $200. I called my bank and I'd have to close my acct to ensure they don't keep charging me because even if I put in a stop payment for this company, they will charge under a different name. This is information the bank told me! The regional mgr Ross Gaggini, apparently doesn't care, not only for the members but for his staff. Ignores all requests for follow up. I have called several times and nothing. Staff I have spoken with are all very nice and understanding but can't get my money back. I'm frustrated. Hopefully, someone will follow up with this review

I always go to this planet fitness when I’m in town and it always has some machines broken and missing equipment. This time it’s the cable machines. One is completely broken and 2 other cables are worn away to the steel. Safety is a concern! There are no long handles anywhere. The machines are old even though the location is not old. It’s as if the owners bought used equipment to be cheap. It’s really disappointing because I use planet fitness all over the US and this location by far is one of the worst.

I’ve been really impressed! The gym is huge and has so much to offer. They have a lot of exercise tools that I haven’t seen at my previous gym, which is a great bonus. It feels like there's always something new to try, and the variety keeps my workouts interesting. This Planet Fitness is clean and in a good location. They could use more free weights but it matches what I've seen at other locations. Biggest issue with this location is they do a terrible job of maintaining AND fixing their equipment. They just put a sign on their window advertising new equipment - what a joke! Perhaps they should fix all the equipment that currently doesn't work before they advertise newer equipment. They have 5 stair machines - 2 of them have been broken for many months and I'm guessing they'll never be fixed at this point. They said they can't find spare parts. I'm guessing they are not willing to pay for what it really will cost - especially if it means having to buy a new machine. Very frustrating because there are constantly people waiting that wouldn't be if they had 5 machines working like they should have. Bikes are constantly broken along with a fair amount of treadmills. Many of their paper towel holders are broke or empty. It's just not hard to fix these issues. I'd love to see a new PF open in the general area - if there is I'll be there quickly!

Anthony is always on point. The staff here are good, but Anthony makes it a point to say hello, goodbye, ask a "How are you doing?", and remember your name. I go to the Planet Fitness at Collier and 41. Premises are clean, staff are courteous. I do have one complaint. I use the 30 minute workout area, and there are always other patrons that sit on the machines for 5-10 minutes or more when the purpose is to only stay on the machines for one minute and move to the next. The sign says the area is monitored by staff, but I have never seen a staff member. I have mentioned this issue to the staff at the desk, and they tell me they do not have enough staff to monitor this area.

Harrison @ Planet Fitness/Freedom Square has proved to be a real asset to this location. Being previously positioned to manage approx. 500 company locations throughout the US/Internationally w/a major Fortune 500 company, I certainly recognize those employees who are destined to be extremely successful, and I strongly believe Harrison falls into that category per his positive demeanor, attentiveness and punctuality. On a side note (which is outside of Harrison's control) the owner of this location needs to start attending to the many equipment repairs (some very long term) which are badly needed.

Signed up day 1 on Black Friday with an awesome employee, fast and simple.
Come back day 2 wearing the same outfit and turned away after a 25 minute drive. Never been turned away from a planet fitness in crocs 😂. “Judgement free zone” but will inspect your attire, belongings, and person to make sure you fit their perfect fit.

Very clean gym, with multiple options for whichever muscle group you are choosing to work on. The hydro massage was Amazing as well. I definitely recommend giving Planet Fitness a try.

There are too many machines out of service. They have been “temporarily” broken for months. Recently more than half the hvac system was not operating for several weeks. It seems to take an act of Congress to get anything fixed. The toilet stall walls are never really cleaned well and last week one of the toilets was filthy. The sinks do not have paper towels so cannot wipe up water and soap after washing hands. The layout is very poor. This is a poor representative of Planet Fitness.

Most of the different planet fitness as I have worked out in across the country have been great, super clean and super friendly staff. This one is a serious exception. The bathrooms are filthy, toilet paper on the floor, razor blades in the showers that have been there for days, It’s obvious nobody cleans this place regularly. No hot water in the showers and the water fountains were not working today. This place nasty.

7 treadmills out of order. Took 4 more until I found one that works. Water fountain out of order for months. Bathroom disgusting. I would NOT join this place. Going to cancel.

First when I see some of the reviews and photos people are posting the wrong location. There is another location on Tamiami in East Naples that I would NOT recommend. it does seem dirty and the parking lot is dingy and dark. The location I recommended is on Tamiami and 951 in south Naples. This is a great club. It’s very clean and never so busy that I need to wait for equipment. The massage chairs are wonderful after a workout. And can’t beat the price!!!

Immediately cancelling membership. Dirty gym and everyone is a slob and doesn't clean equipment, talks on phone while sitting on equipment. Bicep curls in bench press/Smith machine, etc. Absolute joke.

Staff is not very attentive and are constantly on their phone. Facility is terrible… men’s urinal has been broken for months, sinks have been broken for weeks , large percentage of machines are broken and never fixed (treadmills, ab machine etc.). I have been to other planet fitnesses and this one is by far the worst.

My primary issue with the gym is the oversight from the staff. I like to use the 30 minute workout. But people will "camp out" on some of the machines and disregard those of us who are trying to work the circuit. There is a clear explanation that shouldn't be done and there is a sign that the staff regularly monitors that but they don't. For the most part, the staff congregates behind the front desk. It's a nice gym but the management could be more attentive to the customers.

I am a black card planet fitness member

My home planet fitness gym is the Lely resort gym in Naples

So I have spoken to the service representatives at the gym concerning specific equipment that has been broken and remains unfixed for over a year!!?!?
This is unacceptable
I’ve tried to speak with the owner at easy Mile fitness but they’re not listening

The purpose of this review is to simply get someone in this organization to take responsibility in fixing broken gym equipment in a timely and acceptable manner representative of the planet fitness business acumen

Can someone PLEASE clean the locker rooms here? It’s been 5 weeks that I have worked out at this location and it’s so dirty. Hair globs in the every shower every day (just keeps getting bigger), showers look like they have never been cleaned or changing rooms, q-tips on the floor for weeks in same spot, candy wrappers thrown on the ground and bathrooms are nasty (dust all over toliet paper dispenser, faucet doesn’t work). I literally have never seen anyone clean at this gym. Definitely looking for different gym soon.

Having belonged to Planet Fitness for well over a year (since soon after they opened this facility), I have enjoyed going to exercise there. The members are generally very considerate and the staff has been excellent. What's not to like?

Three of the six recumbent bike machine have had out of order signs on them for at least SIX months. Get your equipment repaired quickly. Those bikes are used all of the time. You need all six recumbent bikes operational.
The men’s restroom has had out of order signs on urinals for months! Clean this restroom! Repair this restroom now!
. The women’s restroom is just plain dirty! Often there is no toilet paper when you enter a stall. The handicapped sink in the women's handicapped restroom stall had not worked in 3 months!
Have a card with the owners phone number and a corporate phone number at the entrance desk. . Members need to be able to contact responsible parties to insist that repairs are made and this Planet Fitness is CLEAN!
This Planet Fitness needs much better management!

The bathrooms are very dirty and not very well taken care of. I think a cleaning staff is required. In addition I do not believe that the regular staff is maintaining this facility bathrooms very well often no toilet paper in the walls. The handicap bathroom door has been broken from one of the sinks is out of order on the bathroom are often pretty. I always have to wipe the seat and flush the toilet before I can actually use the facility.

0/10. Complete miscommunication on your staffs part, led to me cancelling 18 months of future membership (your loss of $470 👍).

I was out of the country for 8 months and forgot to cancel before I left. On the phone they said I CANNOT cancel over the phone and to “Come in"... I was in Asia… Not possible… When I returned to USA I went in to the PF establishment and they informed me MY FAMILY member could have come in to cancel for me… I was charged 3/8 months before I canceled my card. ($75 for not using your gym)

The Manager and General Manager both said to reinstate, I would now need to pay my remaining balance $125 (For the 5 more months I again, DID NOT use your gym). I explained how your company miscommunication led me to waiting, and I could have had a family member come cancel IF THEY TOLD ME THAT. No concern from the GM, just a few "sorry’s, and pay us".

I asked if they could wave the 5 months, as I already paid 3 months and did not use the gym. I would also be here for 18 months and would like to continue using PF. They simply said No. I will not be returning to PF as your business practices are unacceptable. You now miss out on 18 months at $26 = about $470 over a $125 charge of me NOT using your facility. Horrible business practices 🤙🏼

Nice gym....good equipment. The only complaint I have is that "kids"...take more than they need from the barbell racks which results in members "at times"...looking for a barbell on the rack and there are more on the floor next to sum "kid" thinging he has his own personal gym. 'Only take what your using Frist and leave the rest for members..

In this place the opening hours are not respected. I have been coming for two weeks at 6 in the morning and it is not open. They are opening at 8:30 am and they should open at 5 am.

1/16/24 initial review: I mean the workers are nice enough, but it's very frustrating how long equipment is broken for. I'm talking 6+ months if something gets broken. The assisted pullup/dip machine has been broken for a full year now with no signs of repair anytime soon. Pretty ridiculous

7/24/24 update:
The assisted pullup/dip machine has finally been fixed, but now one of the adjustable-pulley cable machines has been broken for a solid 3 months. Seems like a very simple repair as well, they just do not care

Tha only manager, Sewena, canceled my membership without telling me. I only found out when I went back to the gym to work out. I was told it was due to a policy violation however no one can tell me what that policy violation is. I never had a problem there. This is so weird and unprofessional.

Is the Smith machine that's been broken for over 6 months ever going to be fixed or is it just for decoration now? This gym has thousands of members with hundreds of cardio equipment and only three working Smith machines. Come on.
