2 weeks ago I received a email from planet fitness asking for a survey. I happily filled it out, left an 8 because I was pretty happy with the location. A few hours later I received a call from the manager, Melissa asking me to change my review because she said an 8 made her look bad. She resent me a survey which I filled out partly because I have worked customer service before and it can be trying. It didn't feel right that she called, and she seems to have a bad attitude most of the times I seen her but the rest of the staff is very good so I didn't mind.

After a week break from the gym both me and my wife go back and on my wife's first visit, while trying to sign into the black card area Melissa starts to berate my wife about signing in. My wife's account still shows her maiden name so the employees usually have to help her sign in because no one seems to be able to change it. After Melissa gets done with her tirade, my wife comes out of the black card area just to find Melissa huddled around her employees, talking shit about my wife while being in ear shot of multiple people.

This has made me want to cancel my membership, why should I pay money for me and my wife to be harassed and berated?

The rest of the staff is EXTREMELY professional and helpful so this is the only reason we have not cancelled. Melissa needs at the very least recoaching but probably should just be let go.

I would like to report an issue with one of the night shift workers at Planet Fitness. I’m very unsatisfied with her service because she repeatedly singles my group out and tells us not to do certain things, even though she doesn’t say anything to anyone else doing the same. The problem is that we aren’t doing anything wrong, yet she still comes over with unnecessary comments every time. It feels discriminatory and unfair, and I believe her behavior is racially motivated. The worker is an older lady, and this has happened more than once. I hope this can be addressed, as everyone deserves to feel comfortable and treated equally in the gym.

I was in this club early Monday morning on April 7, 2025. I accidentally left my cell phone and my silver chain in the tanning booth. While I was in the restroom/shower room employee came into the restroom and told me they found my phone and that she's stuck in my bag while I was in the shower. She did not bring my Silver chain so when I got out of the shower, I went to the front desk and asked her about my silver chain and she stuttering, tripping over her own words, was very nervous and could not tell me if anybody had been back to the tanning beds or where she had been, and was very unwilling to be of any help at all. I have been calling the club since that morning to speak to a manager. She is either never there or conducting interviews. I have left messages for this manager. I just called again for the manager, and after hearing the manager in the background state that she was conducting an interview the employee told me that there was no manager there, so I was lied to. Their employee stole my chain and they are being of no help in this manager is very unprofessional and the employees are liars. While it is very clear that they don't care about their members, they also condone lying and stealing.

Woke up like a normal morning put my gym clothes on went out to north fort myers planet fitness. Not in a million years did the thought cross my mind what I was wearing was inappropriate. Meet at the front desk by Paul said I was exposing myself. I was wearing a cut off shirt that was clearly covering my chest. He said dont wear it tomorrow. I said ok about 2 minutes into warm up he strolls over and says I need to put on an unwashed 100 percent cotton planet fitness tee, leave, or go home and change. I elected to go home and change. I've never been so embarrassed in my life. I pay my taxes, dont speed, and wear my seat belt. Slogans on wall no critiques and judge free zone amongst others. Sure felt judged

This Paul guy is really uncool. I'll be calling management monday. It wasnt a string tee just sleeves cut off like normal. Made me leave to change my shirt. Its suppose to be a judge free zone. I've wore this shirt at multiple planet's. The level of embarrassment I felt among members was unprecedented. I understand if someone is wearing a string gold bodybuilding tank but this just had the sleeves cut off.

While working out now feeling extremely uncomfortable I watched at least 5 guys walk in with similar shirts but they knew the front desk guys and were allowed to work out. Maybe its because I'm visiting fromNew York. Who knows. Ps one of the buddies was wearing a gold string tank top but acceptable because hes a home boy regular.

My husband and I came here on September 4th, 2024 around 9:00 am. We were in the 30 minute room and this lady started yelling at us that we weren't following the order right. And yet this lady was skipping machines. I had surgery on my shoulder and I have a bad knee so I'm not able to do some things. This lady then went and got the manager named Sherri. Sherri came and told us that we needed to follow the order and would refuse us to talk. She then called the police and refused her staff to talk to us, even though 1 of the staff members witnessed everything from the beginning. We told the manager to rewind the cameras and she was demanding that we leave! My husband and I waited for the police so we could tell our side of the story but the manager had banned us from this place.

They can be good most times. Never learned their peak hours. Sometimes so packed I walked out. There's always at least one machine broken or monopolized. You can always find a treadmill though. Garbage is always overflowing because people wipe them down so constantly, unnecessarily even. I usually didn't have much of a problem when I went there. As with any gym, good luck cancelling your membership easily.. if ai still lived in town, I'd still go there. The shipping center is dead, but there's a Subway so that helps. The old K-Mart/Sears/etc has now been demolished and will be building low income housing, so maybe when that's up, you might change your mind about it. Not a lot of options on that side of town for gyms....

I've been to many Planet Fitness gyms and the North Fort Myers location is very well kept. I was in the area on a Friday morning so I stopped in for a workout. The employees were busy keeping the gym clean and helping members/athletes who needed assistance or guidance with a machine. During my 1.5 hour use of the PF gym, I did not have to wait to use a piece of equipment. I would estimate about 45 people in the gym at the time I was there (~10am to 11:30am). I also witnessed employees cleaning the fitness machines not being used, and cleaning other areas of the gym. They also monitored the paper towels and spray bottles (used to wipe off equipment). I was also impressed by how clean the men's locker room is. Next time I'm in that area, I will use this facility because it is very clean and the equipment is in good order. Kudos to that team for doing a great job!

Unfortunately, the downside of this is that there are too many people after 5.
Sometimes, I can't do my workouts properly. It's always full.
There's plenty of stationary bikes and other cardio equipment that is always empty. They should provide wore weights and more equipment and take advantage of that space that is wasted and nobody uses.
The area lacks gyms, which is why this one is so full after 5, the nearest gyms are at cape coral, and this area needs more gyms.
Meanwhile, Im walking and using the clubhose of my community until I find another gym I can go, unfortunately I canceled my suscription, as I won't go there just to do nothing.
