Angie is doing a great job.Since she began as manager staff she hires friendly staff.Temp is 70 which is ideal.I travel a lot and every Planet Fitness is 70 degrees in Midwest,Northeast,Southeast.Lots of windows,nice white ceilings,big ass fans going a great speed.Club is a short drive.I just hope they do not change a thing,one of the best clubs I have seen to date.And I have been to a lot of the clubs Northeast,Midwest,Southeast. I see a few negative reviews in regards to customer service/ greetings.
This is the few of the times I rarely come in it’s 1:30pm and the greeting and service is really bad . I said bye to the young lady and older gentleman dark brown hair and no response back . I usually one at around 6am and the older guy probably in his 50s prettty built is great but the afternoon team really bad again . Where is management in training these guys it’s nothing hard in responding back to a hello and goodbye . Disappointed in management training

Seems like a nice place... not sure about people greeting you each time you walk in (I don't pay attention, and I try my hardest to just blend in with the background) but otherwise the people who work here seem very helpful and friendly. It is also very clean and plenty of new machines.

Horrible management at the North Port location the place is filthy and young disrespectful aggressively rude and nasty kid in charge! Cancelled my membership without notifying me or refunding me.

My husband and I decided to join planet fitness as it gives many extra perks especially with the black card membership. We are an older couple and are a bit intimidated with some of the machines. My husband decided to sign up for a new membership class at 7am. We arrived on time and I hit the treadmill. I watched my husband sit there for 25minutes waiting for someone to show him the machines. Three people were standing at the desk doing nothing. We asked at 7am when it started the young girl said they were running late. No additional information or communication was ever given to him while he sat there. When he gave up and hit the ifit cycle machine I went over to sign him up for the massage chair and inquired about the class. She said they decided not to come in. They are lucky my 75year old husband is a patient man. So if you are comfortable with no advice or direction from the staff it's great. We have decided to figure out the machines on our own. Also, when we went in to signup no tour or extensive information was given when we walked in. In my opinion it is a very lazy staff. However the facility is great clean and plenty of choices to choose from.

Glad they opened a location here. Nice new machines. Like it here better than Venice. Only small complaint is I wish they had small benches in all stalls like Venice. Don’t like putting my bag on floor. Big stall has a bench but people put their stuff on it and go take a 30 min shower.

Planet Fitness has many good machines. Climate perfect. Just one issue is two of your staff working at desk have not been very welcoming. When you say "hi" most places will smile and say hi. From my experience that is not true. I see two people smirking and slight giggle when I enter. Very rude I think.

Liz is the most unfriendly and unprofessional person I met
She was highly rude and unapologetic because she fail to explain details of the gym to a new member, then blamed the new member for not knowing. She should look for new employment that doesn't require working the public.

Sorry to post this.. I love this planet fitness but the screens ain't working for the past 2 days and it's kinda annoying not to have it while on treadmill or elliptical... hope they get it fixed asap... as everybody is a paid member, so the gym should pay their bills too... 😒

Staff at night is excellent but it is unsafe conditions to workout in. Last week it was toxic fumes in there and this week it is hotter and more humid inside than outside. There is also insufficient staff for night time, being one employee some nights for the same amount of people there working out during the day. They allowed kids to come for free all summer, of which they do making almost quadruple the amount of people yet didn’t allow for more staff to accommodate.

So my mother and i where treated like garbage, when in fact i am black card member, we where turned away a couple weekends ago on a sunday in the rain because the staff messed up on checking us in with there new program"staff sent code to wrong telephone number, sent it to my wife's phone and not mine, making it your staffs error", and turned us away,sent us back out in the rain, rudely!!!!, no apologize, nothing, stay away from this branch there is a reason they have such poor reviews!!!!, left a previous review,and they did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation!¡!!

This is the best PF I’ve been to. It’s got so many plate loaded options for the more strength minded lifters and so many cable machines(I’ve counted at least 7 or 8)it will blow your mind. Everything is brand new with that new car smell. There’s even some really nice glute and split squat equipment which totally blew me away.

Tons of space and TRX equipment in the back room to get your stretching, calisthenics and core exercises done. Plenty of cardio equipment, disregard all of the sour apples in the reviews this place is open and has something for everyone.

Can understand delay in opening, stuff happens. But since opening, not that long, it has gone progressively downhill. That includes everything: equipment maintenance, cleanliness and staffing. This morning at 7 am, check the video, i stood there waiting while FOUR staff members were chatting behind the desk. Nevermind the supposed acknowledgement when you arrive and leave, that includes the manager standing there. It starts at the top, if the manager doesn't follow the program the staff won't either.

Have had multiple Planet Fitness memberships across the land, been here two years and struggled for a gym, thank goodness this one opened up! Big, great lighting, plenty of equipment, clean and the manger runs a tight ship. Do not have to struggle trying to work out in a hole in the wall and dark and dirty gyms that frequent throughout this area. Keep up the good work one the best PF I have been to!

Amazing experience at this Planet Fitness, all staff greets me with a hello and welcome as soon as I walk in. The manager, Shawn, is excellent at training his staff and making sure everyone feels welcome. Perfect addition to North Port! Ever since moving back to Punta Gorda three years ago I have been looking for a good place to workout. I loved the location in Bonita Springs for years. So when we moved from North Naples I was kind of disappointed with my choices. So fast forward now 2025 we live in North Port and this location is now open! It’s beautiful, clean and the management and staff are super friendly! I feel safe and comfortable working out here. Welcome to North Port Planet Fitness we have been waiting for you!

Think hard before getting a membership here, as I should have.

1. This place is not 24/7, unlike other PFs and as advertised.
2. It opened later than planned, and within a week, many machines were already out of order.
3. Canceling my membership is proving to be a painful process, with constant responses of "we can't do anything; you will be charged again if not canceling 10 days before the next payment." Time spent talking to the managers is pretty much useless (I assume this isn't up to the franchise, but I would like to see people trying to find a solution).

I would recommend finding a gym with more ethical business practices and giving your money there.

Fantastic PF. Am so excited it's open and have been enjoying the equipment and Black card area immensely with the addition of the Cryo Lounge. I wish to also acknowledge some of the personnel that have made visits such a joy- Manager Shawn, Kayley, Chrissy, and Lydia to name a few. Always very helpful and friendly. A real credit to PF. This gym… this is TYMGYM and this is (enter you name here followed by gym) there’s a few bad reviews from some kids that broke the machines then got mad that they Brocken. Probably bc they never got the attention they craved as a baby. Anywho. Let’s talk about the black card homie… my wife is an LMT but she still can’t handle the constant rubbies I require so I hit the massage chair or the hydro bed but mostly I hit both. Do you know about red light therapy? Well I didn’t but I got into a bad motorcycle accident (cuz I’m a ring thug) and had road rash. Well red light therapy helps heal skin damage! Yup! Acne, stretch marks, freaking asphalt skin, that too. What else? Brother/sister just come by get a tour and sign up. You waste more money on Starbucks in two days then a whole month membership. If you see me. Mention this post for a free high five. Here’s some photos . Yeah I took a photo in the locker room room. Was 3 am. No one else around. Don’t kick me out.

Great new gym. Lots of machines for people of all ages and levels. Great cardio section and Spa wellness is a plus. They just opened and there are a quite a few glitches on machines that are out of order already. No big deal, plenty of other machines to use. Staff is fantastic.

Yeah, so far it looks great. I went there yesterday and took a sneak-peak since I was around the area doing some errands. It has the similarities of the one in Venice and Port Charlotte West. A lot newer equipment. Met some of our agents and a couple of our gym mates who work/workout from my home gym location. So far so good. Like being said, I cannot wait until the "ENGLEWOOD LOCATION" opens. Make it look like this or Port Charlotte West.

I’ll have to agree with the other people. I moved to NP in January, this gym was “supposed to” open on Feb 15. I got the membership, it moved to March 15. Now here we are again, and still closed lol. Learn how to date and manage your construction projects. This is ridiculous.
