the gym is small and that's not a bad thing, the locker rooms are small. they only have 4 shower stalls one of which unusable, and the rest have little to water pressure.

When it comes to the equipment, customer service and black card spa this is probably the best Planet Fitness in the city. But it's oversaturated with UCF students. There's nothing wrong with that... but some of them use it as a hangout spot, and just sit at the equipment chatting or staring down at their phones with no regards to others that are waiting to use the equipment. Not to mention they leave these giant bags and all over the gym instead of just locking their bags up in the locker room. This could be a safety hazard. Also majority of the treadmills are out of order and it's been this way for several weeks now.

Excellent and friendly staff. The gym with exercise machines is perfect. The place to relax is good and comfortable. The toilets are clean. There is one minus and these are the showers. They are very old-fashioned and noticeable, and the curtains in them are like from the fifties. Overall, the gym still gets a 5 for the fact that all the massage chairs and tanning booths work well.

Have been a member for a few months overall the gym has been good, employees greet you upon coming in. They have had some equipment out of order as others have mentioned, and there are TVs out of order. Also they play CNN but not FOX News….hmmmm.
Over the past two weeks + the hydrolounge has been closed and they said they have no idea when it will be fixed and suggested going to another gym, thus I cannot use my black card perks unless I drive further to another gym. It seems strange that ALL would be broken, I went back there and there is no signs of working on any of them and the monitors are all on like usual. Having these closed for this long is unacceptable for a gym being managed right.

Wow, worst planet fitness ive ever been to and i must have visited 300 locations across the united states. Super unprofessional employee ethan came right up in my face saying you better not drop the weights again. Then proceeded to glare at me like i was some kind of criminal and laughing with another customer on how he told me off. Thank god this guy isn't a police officer because he would pull the trigger first and ask questions later. Should not be in customer service. Doesn't know how to deal with the public.

I've been working out at this Planet Fitness for a little over a year now, and it's been a consistently good experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Like most gyms, it can get a bit crowded during peak times in the mornings or evenings, but even then, I've never felt overwhelmed and can usually get in all of the equipment that I plan to use if I'm patient and check back. It's clean and well-maintained (minus the occasional piece of equipment that is waiting for a repair).

I personally have been using this gym for more than a year and a half, ever since I moved here.

I noticed some reviews talking about customer service, and personally I think all the staff are great and respectful and keep the gym clean and tidy!

Some reviews also spoke about people on their cellphones. These people have no patience and clearly do not realize the world does not revolve around them, and who ever gets to the machine first gets to use it. At the end of the day, we all pay our dues.

Point is, don’t read too much into the comments, I think this gym is great and well kept. There are no issues!

Been coming here for a few years, in that time the gym has become very oversold (not enough equipment for the people that show up) I would normally not complain however the lack of equipment is because more than half of the equipment that is in the gym does not work. 70% of the treadmills have been down for over 2 months. Most days end in just skipping cardio because the 10 treadmills that work are always in use.

They missed out on a membership with me. So, I was waiting on my husband to come meet me, and check me in but I needed to use the restroom. The employee wouldn't allow me to USE THE RESTROOM while I wait. I'm a diabetic and I have high blood pressure. The meds I take causes me to urinate more than the average person. Ty and Kembria are the best gor service. They are very aware and highly recommend to deal with. They are very informant. Shot out to every one that works here. This gym is clean, showers are spacious and not only that. The gym is very clean. Accommodate parking to ensure safety. This has been a great experience so far after joining for nearly 4 weeks. Disappointed with Follow-Up on Cleanliness Concerns

I was recently contacted by Planet Fitness in Waterford Lakes to provide feedback on their services. During the survey, I brought up a specific concern regarding the cleanliness of the men's bathroom counters around the faucets. Despite acknowledging my concern, the staff made no effort to address the issue.

When I followed up directly with the staff and management, their response was dismissive and unprofessional, with an attempt to shift the blame instead of taking accountability. This is especially frustrating given that they reached out to me for feedback, which I assumed was meant to improve the experience for members.

After reviewing other comments online, it’s clear that I’m not alone in being disappointed by the cleanliness standards. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of what I expect from a gym that promotes a welcoming and clean environment.

Update 1/15/2024: The reply to my review is a generic copy-and-paste response, which shows they don’t even take the time to read and understand customer concerns. If they had, they’d know I already spoke with management. This only adds to the frustration—it’s more gaslighting from their staff and management.

Cleanliness and customer feedback should be taken seriously, but unfortunately, that’s not the case here.

Amazing Experience at Planet Fitness Waterford Lakes!

I’ve been consistently impressed with my experience at the Planet Fitness in Waterford Lakes, Orlando, and it’s largely thanks to Nathaniel! He’s always so helpful and knowledgeable. Recently, he answered all my questions about the Black Card benefits and explained everything clearly, from scheduling and access to the tanning beds, massage chairs, HydroMassage, and the Total Body Enhancement system. His expertise really made me feel comfortable with all the options available.

What makes Nathaniel stand out is his warm personality. He’s always quick to say hello, happy to assist, and genuinely makes me feel welcome every time I walk in. Planet Fitness is lucky to have such a dedicated team member, and I’m grateful for his help! Highly recommend this gym for its great facilities and exceptional staff.

Don’t go to planet fitness I canceled my membership the same month I got i cause I couldn’t afford to renew it and the app had gave me the option to cancel it anytime thru the app which is what I thought happened. Well I was apparently wrong because I called to see why they took my only $25 I had left in my account and they said oh you can’t cancel it in the app you have to come in and pay the out standing balance of 500. I AM A BROKE NURSING STUDENT WORKING PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK just for a car to take me to and from school and work cause my parents couldn’t get it. Best gym ever!! La fitness and 24 hour fitness are losing business to them like crazy and its for a reason. It the new way of doing business with a gym. Zero high pressure tactics!! Tried to sign up for membership. Somehow, their app sign up process won't accept my bank account. Called several times to the facility, but was told no one onsite is authorized to sign people up for membership. All of them seems like they are highschoolers and have no idea how to problem solve. I am baffled. To the upper management, if you are insisting on hiring inexperienced staff, at least give them proper tools to learn and grow as customer service staff. The place is amazing though.

Love this place. Every piece of equipment you could imagine. Plus Red light therapy, massage recliners, tanning pods, and a relaxation pod. I love the total body enhancement pod with the vibrashake feature. Always feel great after. With the black card membership at $24.99 a month a Gatorade is only $1.60 and an Aquafina is only $1.07. This place is pretty big and never crowded. Definitely worth the money.

The gym & majority of their staff are great; however if you have a complaint to make - you’ll probably get looked at like a deer in some headlights if you’re speaking with the club manager, Claire... As a paying customer, I would expect the facilities to be maintained at a BARE minimum which means keep the MOST COMMON area clean - the restroom & shower area. There should be no reason I have to wipe the counters so I can place my belongings on it, and no reasons I should wipe down the mirrors myself if I want to use them. No reasons there’s trash and the showers are flooding. When we told the manager on duty today how the bathrooms were, she just looked at us and asked how the facilities were not up to par. As someone who works in customer service on a higher level, this just wasn’t an answer I would’ve provided my clients.

Unfortunately today is the last day I will visit Planet Fitness in Waterford Lakes. I have battled weight loss n fitness for over 20 years, this is the only gym I believe the team(staff) demonstrated an interest cheering me on to success. Claire Masius Christian and every member of the team should be recognizing zed for an amazing job they do daily, I feel that I am a member of this winning team.

My plans are to attend a Planet Fitness in the Palm Beaches however my expectations for quality and experience from the team is extremely high.

If I could provide this location with zero stars, I would. I had someone call me stating they were from Planet Fitness. The person I was speaking with said I needed to come in to sign another contract. Being a little concerned, I wanted to know why and what happened with the contract I signed. I made the person on the phone aware, from a customer standpoint, it was a little weird being told I would need to sign another contract when I completed the process of singing up with someone in person at the gym. I asked what happened with the initial contract and the associate on the phone said they did not know how to explain it. I kindly asked if I could speak with someone that would be able to explain it as it was an area of concern for me. This process went back and forth for a few minuets. I, again, attempted to ask the associate to look at the concern from my perspective as a customer. I made them aware, again, that I was confused about what was wrong with what I submitted at their location and wanted to speak with someone that could let me know what was going on. After not being assisted, I asked for their name. They provide their name (Claire) and I wanted to make sure I had the spelling correct. Claire then said, "It is really easy to spell." I again just asked if she could spell it for me and was met with a rude tone. I shocked and surprised why someone would speak to a customer in this manner and asked to speak with a manager. I felt I was being more that kind and had a valid concern that she was ignorant in assisting me with. Claire rudely stated that she was the manager and would have my membership closed if I did not sign another contract. Due to being met with her resistance in wanting to assist a paying customer, I disconnected the call. I will also be following up with this company about how their name is being represented. If you need assistance, do not ask for Claire. Even if she does not know the answer (which sometimes we do not) she will not assist you in locating it.

Other then new equipment and the new feel, old gym habits will follow anyone anywhere. Like the bathrooms. The worst and unhygienic bathrooms around. Showers half the time do not work properly. Either missing shower curtains, flooding in the shower (reported twice in 2 weeks and still nothing!)bathroom toilet paper left on the floor, the list can go on! Did a payment plan with the Assistant Manager. Made the months payment. The General Manager stopped me today because of my payment, she wouldn't let me in. My Parents went in today to check out the facility and they were asked to fill out some information on an iPad which is fine but it was not working. After trying for 10 minutes my mother approached the desk and said unfortunately the iPad was not working and said well I guess we will come back another time and the girl behind the desk eating a sandwich was like “ok bye” ….. like what????we couldn’t ask if they needed any help? Membership is affordable, not filled with many people, equipment always clean, everyone very respectful, and very spacious! Truly recommend this location!

11/11/23 HAPPY VETERNS DAY
Well i have been too many planet fitness around florida. This one is 5 stars ONLY because everything is new. And they have all the black card amenities and 360 area. The equipment is the same as Conway and Florida mall (one close to 528). So this one will be added to list of Planet Fitness Gyms i like and visit often.

Ps. Hopefully they will keep up with oiling and maintenance of the equipment when more people start signing up.
