I was at the gym and I had taken a shower when out of nowhere a Latino looking man came storming in, scanned the shower area and left. Words cannot express how inappropriate and predatory that felt. No man at no time should ever be allowed to enter the women's dressing and shower area without anouncing himself first. Women are in there often naked or half naked all the time and for any man to storm into that area unanounced under the guise of "work" seems beyond predatory. Many women clients are married and Christians, who do not want a man that's nothing to them storm in and see them undressed whenever he wants!!!

I love this gym. The employees are friendly and helpful, the gym is always clean, new equipment, lots of equipment, good music 95% of the time (or you can bring your own with headphones), and it's the only gym that I have ever actually enjoyed going to. Cover d parking is nice (you do have to make sure you use the app for two free hours of parking) and they have vending machines with things we enjoy including high protein bars.

This gym in SODO is great, it has everything you need and the equipment is easy to use specially for new people that just started their journey to a healthier lifestyle. It's super clean, bathrooms are clean and smell good. Now something I would suggest is to have one or two of the staff to give rounds and help those like me that it's my first time in a gym and don't know how to use all the equipment or feels like they're not doing the excersicise wrong and are afraid to get hurt for doing it wrong. I'm not saying to trained for free but to help when see someone doing the excersicise in a way that can hurt themselves it would be good to have someone that can help you and recommend to do it right. I know you can scan in the machine and watch a video of how to do it but is not the same when someone with knowledge shows you in person how to do it right. But I LOVE PF GYM. I feel secure.

PSA: Absolutely nobody, and I mean NOBODY, wants to hear music blaring in the gym at a level where you can barely hear your own music coming from your headphones. I joined Planet Fitness with their $1 first-month promotion, but my first visit to the Gore location was very disappointing. The bathrooms were being used as hangouts, left in poor condition, and the overall cleanliness of the facility was lacking.

The parking situation was also an issue. There’s a strict two-hour limit, and anything beyond that requires payment. This was never explained at sign-up, and when I asked staff about it, I was met with unnecessary rudeness rather than clear communication. I also waited 20 minutes to be checked in for a massage, only to be treated as if I was an inconvenience.

Because of these issues, I have already transferred my home location. The staff’s attitude, combined with the facility’s decline, made this a very poor experience. Based on both my visit and other reviews, I would not recommend this location.

I joined PF in June. I been going since, and I enjoyed it, everything was going well. I usually working out about an hour each time. today, I stay at the gym little longer about hour and a half. I got the around 4:30 finishing 10 minutes pass 6 o'clock. after I finished my work out go to my car and there's a $55.00 parking ticket waiting for me. It says I didn't register my car. I never been told that I need to register my car to park there to use the gym.That's the reason why I only give 3 star, maybe I need to change location or just cancel the membership.
I can not believe what I received the response from the owner. It's telling me that I need to contact the parking lot owner myself to resolve this.
I just hoping that the gym can communicate better with the new members. At least let them know. They need to contact the parking lot owner to park there before they can park and go to the gym.

Atyr stands out, she seems to know every members name, as she greets them, with name as they are walking in.
Today Atyr assisted me with a parking issue, and as always with a smile.
I live much closer to another Planet Fitness location, but come here entirely because of the positive interactions with Atyr.

I really like the location and the amenities. I would like to see more bicep equipment. Also, it wouldn’t hurt if the staff was a little bit more nicer and welcoming. The showers are dirty. Oh and also have to mention the homeless have pretty much taken over the showers here as well . They shave and leave hair in the shower . The shower curtains really need to be cleaned. I LOVE this location! From the moment you walk in... Wow! It smells nice and has great air circulation. The placement of the machines is well thought out and there is a ton of natural light. The entire facility is immaculate and the staff is super friendly. There is a great variety and number of machines so there doesn't appear to be any issues in waiting to finish a workout. I can't wait to visit again!

My 1st day at Planet Fitness. So easy and quick to check in, no hassles and no pressured upsales. (My last gym pressured me so much and from day 1 I never liked them.) I was very happy with the AC. Loved the pleasant choice of upbeat music. Perfect volume, perfect style. There were plenty machines (and duplicates) for me to cover complete workouts easily. Machines were new, clean, had great instructions - not creaky, clanging, smelly. Not cramped at all Check in host was pleasant, variety of people was pleasant, your huge, framed motto was pleasant. Restrooms, locker, showers were nice. I've been avoiding the gym for years and I was so pleasantly impressed. I instantly called someone to explain what a nice experience this was! I'm not quick to give a great review - but this is your deserved great review!!! Thank you.

Probably the nicest Planet Fitness I’ve ever been to. I’m beyond pleased with how clean it usually is. It has pretty much everything you need for a solid workout. One area for improvement would be the front desk staff—they’re never rude, but they’re also not particularly friendly or welcoming. Lately, I’ve noticed quite a few “out of order” signs, but thankfully, there’s still enough equipment that it doesn’t really impact the workout experience.

Updated Review:
Unfortunately, things have gone downhill. The front desk staff has become increasingly disengaged—if they’re even at the desk at all. There are water leaks throughout the facility, with buckets placed all over the floor. Homeless individuals can often be found occupying various areas, charging phones, and leaving the bathrooms in terrible condition. It’s no longer the clean, well-managed gym it used to be.

Great way to sign in for massage chairs. I'll never understand why people go to a membership-paid gym expecting to do four or five sets without interruption. Please learn gym etiquette; you do not own the machines. The gym is great, but is there a reason Fox News has returned to the TV lineup? I was happy to see it had been removed, but now it’s back to spread its lies. It’s the only cable news being shown and it’s a weird choice to feed your customers propaganda.

Planet Fitness Apopka is a great gym! The equipment is new and everyone there is friendly. Staff always welcoming and the gym is very clean all the time. It is not overly packed to the point that you wait for a while like other gyms. People are clean and they wipe their equipment after use (more often than not, but hey no gym is perfect). The recovery section has hydro massage chairs, worth trying after an intense work out. If you want to be a gym rat and work out in peace, this is the gym to go to.

My only criticism is that I have never been a part of a gym that has had so many things break, or go missing. On any given day, there are at least three machines that are out of service, or weights that are nowhere to be found. Not sure what the problem is.

The gym itself is nice. Well-equipped, machines work, has three separate areas for varying needs.
My issue comes with the mens' locker room. For one, the sensor faucets hardly work. Seriously, everyone has a hard time getting water out of them.

I’m going to this gym the very first day of opening. Everything is new and clean. Atmosphere and location is amazing. But…

Recently, the experience feels odd. I always see so many staffs at the reception, but they are not going around cleaning equipments and pick up left off dumbells from other members.
The reason I want to point this out is I’ve been to so many Planet Fitness locations (Apopka, Lee Road, Ocoee, Fashion Square Mall, and even out states during work travels) . Usually only 1-2 staffs at front and other staffs constantly cleaning up. Bathrooms always in perfect condition, mats never place out of places.

I truly love Planet Fitness. I will definitely change my rating if everything is fixed.

Front desk empty all the time. I was just here 07/25, walked in at 7pm to use the tanning beds, walked out at 7:10 without seeing a single employee. In this time 8 or so customers walked in/out, could have grabbed computers, whatever, and took off. I had a limited time to swing by, so very very frustrating.

I received a gym membership for Christmas, so I went to use the facility. I approached the front desk and asked how to get started. The employee at the front told me i had to download the app to check in that way.
The app locked me out because of multiple trys.
He just kept putting me through hoops !!!
He then asked for my ID to check the computer and saw i have paid for a membership.
finally, another employee told him to give me a tag to enter because I'm in the system.
I wasn't even offered a tour of the facility before I started my training. smh
Also, on saturday night, I went to use the facility at 9 PM Saturday night, expecting to get a hour workout in and i was told they where closed, but the website said they close at 10 PM.
I arrived at 9 pm, and the doors were locked. The employee came to the door and told me they were closed.
I told her the websites said they close at 10 pm.
She told me they are currently updating the website to correct the time on it, but she did apologize !
Other than that, nice job on the facility !

There is a parking garage right next to the facility, and it is FREE PARKING
for membership holder !!!

I like how close this gym is to me. The machines are outdates and they could use some new ones. The staff is very nice. They always greet you when you come in and when you leave. The men in this gym look at women very obviously and that can make me a little uncomfortable and I can tell other women feel the same way. I didn’t have a good experience at this location, I’m a member of planet fitness but out of West Palm Beach Florida, I went to this location just to walk around and see what it was like.. But the Employee at the Desk would not let me in.. Not Even to Look Around.. needless to say.. I plan on canceling my membership.. what a awful way to treat a person…
The sad thing is.. they would not even allow me to use the bathroom… This will probably fall on deaf ears because it seems like no one really gives a hoot about how they represent the company that helps pay their bills… I’m not so much angry as I am disappointed… someone REALLY should do something..

Estoy escribiendo esta nota..precisamente desde este local sentada en la mesa en donde las dos empleadas que tienen para atender a las personas, no saben ni donde están...si tienes personas trabajando en el gym deberían estar preparados para que responder a las preguntas..aparte discriminan a la gente...y eso se ve mal....

I would give it a 0 however, google makes you give them at least one star. Let's start with the lack of professionalism and friendliness is unfathomable. Their front desk lady is beyond disrespectful and when you approach her to speak she calls you out of your name not to mention she's canceling your gym membership. I feel it was a targeted attack since every time I have gone there she seems to have a problem with me. I have gone on multiple occasions to try and speak to the higher ups and they always have an attitude and say the manager is not in. I have asked for an email that I can reach out too and they say there is none. I ask for a corporate email or number and they have refused. This gym culture needs remodeling it is not as the slogan says " Judgment free zone".
