The last few times I have gone in, I have asked about the air upstairs. It's hot and the fans do not help. The employees at the front desk in the morning assure me the air is on. I end up cutting my visit short because it's difficult for me to breathe. Today on my way out, I mentored it being hot up there with fake and snarky apologies.
My friend left a few minutes after me and asked about it and they told her the ac was out of order. Seriously? How long until it's fixed and why are your employees lying about it?
Side note. How many employees do you pay to sit behind the desk and play on their phones?

Cons: Small (lacks volume of weight-lifting equipment), crowded.

Overall: There are not many gym options in the Flagler Beach area, so this is likely the best bang for your buck. If crowds bother you, this is probably not the gym for you as I went multiple times during business hours (9-5 during a weekday) and the place was still packed. They have tons of cardio equipment, but if you want a clean run of whatever sequence of weight lifting you prefer, timing the right hours will be tough.

The Palm Coast PF is clean and has a variety of machines & dumbells up to 75lbs. It actually has more than two squat racks!

It's a little small for a gym rat like me, but the talent that comes through here more than makes up for it. I've enjoyed my workout every time. And, even though the app crowd meter may say low, you may have to wait for the cables, a rack, or an adjustable bench.

Upon my Joining Planet Fitness, Hope was amazing we walked together she was explaining equipment and the tanning beds and the benefits of the Hybrid bed's any questions I asked she did not have me feel like I was bothering her or have me feel stupid. She's very very helpful. Candice is also Amazing they both show me how to use a special machine that I ask about. There both Polite and Courteous as well as David. I've been a member for almost a month, I wish there were Mirrors in the Tanning rooms and better chairs. There have been 3 times now I ask for a couple minutes more cuz of my knee I'm a bit slower. when I'm in the tanning room I've actually had on 2 occasions get dressed to go to front desk and ask them to turn on the Bed I was in there for 15-20 minutes waiting for the bed to be turned on. On the 3rd time I was waiting 15-20 minutes waiting to turn on the bed another client went up front to tell them to turn on the bed. In less than a month it's happened 3 x's I hope it doesn't happen more times. A couple of the front desk are kinda of rude like I'm bothering them they are on the phones it doesn't look good in front of customers. I was a assistant Manager in a fast food restaurant just up the road on 100 we didn't let employees h

Gonna say this over & over again this gym is nice ! The equipment is good. The staff is really nice they greet you no matter what time you come. I have been there at the crack of dawn and late mornings and it's always been the same.

The people who come to that gym are really nice too. Never have had a problem or a complaint.

The only thing that I wish would make this a better place is the cleaning and the discenfecting of the equipment is that the staff are the ones doing it !!!!!! Nothing against them but .....it's not the best. Planet fitness you charge more now can you hire a cleaning company you know PROFESSIONALS at cleaning ?????? Have you guys seen the bathroom walls ???? The ceilings ????? The cracks and crevises of the machines ????? The floor of that blue light machine ! Hair !!!clumps of lint and dirt COME ON !!!!! Please give your employees a raise so they don't look so miserable at the front desk. Except for Candice, she's an absolute rock star. Don't know if she's a manager but she should be. Professional, pleasent and eficient. She should train the others on customer service.
Now an exemple of bad service:
Aproached the counter where the young male with glasses was typing on his phone (no big deal). I said "hello! how's going? He looked up and said "fine". When I was about to ask for the massage chair he interrrupted me to say he was texting his manager and kept typing.

This Gym is lacking in many areas cleanness being the most noticeable. As soon as you walk in the place reeks like a dirty Hamper..... second its like half the size of any of the new and up to date planet fitness sites. I live down the street from this gym and I would rather go to Ormond Beach because its less crowded, cleaner, and they have better equipment that is cleaner. Nothing messes up a workout when there are dirty tissues on the equipment or the equipment smells of pits...

I wanted to like this gym, but it has no trainer ( you can hire a personal trainer 😒) , no classes , no sauna . The fee is almost $25 for a BASIC membership, the price of a Black card membership, but then again this is a very basic gym. The Staff is warm and welcoming. This is the best thing they’ve got going for them.

This gym needs service contacts with companies that can repair, clean, maintain the place in a sensible time frame! I can only think it has to be other people’s fault because ALL the people behind the desk are always preoccupied looking at their phones! Thank goodness the fan in the cardio area is now fixed after months of not working! The stall in the women’s bathroom has been OUT OF ORDER for days now as well as several pieces of equipment! The paper towel dispensers are always empty! So that probably explains why the equipment is dirty! Some of the ceiling fans do not work. There are 5 hydro beds, they're always broken. Lucky to have 1 or 2 that work. Too much cardio equipment not enough strength training equipment. Machines take forever to be fixed. Not a true 24 hour gym. Get your shit together and run your business like you care about your clients and not just taking their money.

This gym is constantly crowded. I have come for several weeks at different time and even during different times of the year. There are only 4 benches to do dumbbell workouts with. There is way too much cardio equipment, some of the ceiling fans have been broken for an extended period of time. Out of the 5 hydro-chairs/beds 2 work. the AC in the black Card area doesn’t work so if you think you’re going to relax and cool down after a workout you would be wrong. In short it’s pretty clear the owner is simply trying to extract as much money as possible and not caring about the product being delivered.

Do go - don’t sign up. Not worth it even for 25$

The gym offers great value for the price, but there are a few areas where it could improve. The rowing machine especially the seats needs to be replaced. The seats when the machine is in use squeaks. In addition, the straps need to be replaced they look extremely worn out. I expressed these concerns about 2 weeks and nothing has been done.

Been to this location for over a year now, but the front desk has changed drastically. Lots of drama and gossiping- fast forward to checking in and I was followed to the locker room by an employee as I was changing to tell me I needed to change my shoes (duh i was changing) the encounter made me feel super uncomfortable and when I told them it was rude to assume and follow guests around I got an attitude in return. I don't have much experience with gyms but this one is nice. Lots of equipment and they have massage chairs, tanning beds and red light therapy. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. There is a second level with quite a bit of equipment up there. The few times we've been there so far it wasn't crowded at all. Oh, and the membership is very reasonable. One more thing, they are offering kids from 14-19 years old free membership until August 31st.

They take their judgment free zone as far as allowing men in the women's bathroom, so it makes it difficult to comfortably use restroom, locker room, and showers. It's often too hot upstairs because fans are barely moving, and there's little to no circulation. It takes months to repair equipment. Some of their regulars are simply bullies about the equipment.

I have always had a positive and welcoming experience at this gym, which has made it a place I look forward to coming to for both fitness and peace of mind. However, I’m writing to express my deep disappointment with how I was treated by two front desk employees during my visit this morning at approximately 7:55 AM.

Upon entering, I was greeted and asked to scan in my guest, which I did without hesitation. As I walked away, I noticed both front desk employees pointing at my account on the screen and discussing it, which made me feel uncomfortable and singled out. The female employee then turned and stared at me with an intense expression, while the male employee (Merritt) continued speaking.

I returned to the desk and politely inquired if there was an alert on my account, assuming it might be a billing issue. Merritt informed me there was a note stating that I need to sign my guest in, implying that I had not done so previously. I was surprised, as this was never discussed with me before, and I always scan in my guest — who is the only guest I bring.

When I expressed concern about this note and the implication behind it, the female employee interjected in a loud and disrespectful manner, though Merritt was already addressing my questions calmly. I explained to her that her tone was unnecessary and uncalled for, yet she continued to be dismissive and typed aggressively on her computer. Her demeanor was rude and confrontational, and I felt very uncomfortable, especially as I was being watched and spoken about after the interaction while I tried to continue my workout.

What was especially upsetting was the continued behavior: as I was on the treadmill, she stared at me, shook her head when I looked back, and continued to speak about me to her colleague. This experience was incredibly embarrassing, discouraging, and made me feel disrespected in a place I’ve come to see as a personal sanctuary.

I believe customers should be treated with courtesy and understanding especially when seeking clarification about something on their account. I did not raise my voice, nor was I disrespectful, and I feel I was met with hostility for simply asking a question.

I respectfully ask that this situation be reviewed and addressed. No member should be made to feel targeted or mistreated, and I truly hope steps will be taken to ensure others are not subjected to the same experience

This is a very very basic and beginner gym no great machines nothing that stands out, way way too many cardio machines and not enough real exercises. If you use the men restroom you can see a lot of buildup around the edges specially by the urinal unit and toilets, also walls grout are filthy.
Floors in front of urinal unit always is full of urine for hours, the staff waiting until end of the day to clean, poor maintenance and unhealthy conditions, not mentioning the showers , disgusting.
Also there is a sink unit for more that a month not working and always take a lot of time to get repairs. Same thing happened with the exercise machines, not working and not getting repairs on time
I the restroom always the hand soap dispenser are empty for days.
Around the toilets always a lot a paper in the floors, maybe it's necessary a seat cover dispenser, they are cheap and will improve the sanitation conditions.
I gave you 1 Star, because can't give you less

I really enjoyed this PF location with the respectful staff and the tidiness of the place and never being judged makes you feel very comfortable and confident. BUTTTTTTT THE LAST 2 MONTHS AT LEAST of having no AC in the BC AREA is UNACCEPTABLE. We pay extra to enjoy the tanning beds, massage beds etc and it’s TOO HOT TO ENJOY TANNING WITHOUT STOPPING THE TIME BECAUSE YOU CANT BREATHE. No circulation. I like what the location provides but the bicycle i used makes noise and stalls. The location where the elipitical is in the middle under the ceiling fan stuffy from dust. They don't clean the dusts which affects my nose making it stuffy, affecting my breathing therefore my performance on the workout.

My senses aren't wrong. You can see all the dust and direct on this white tube under the staircase machines.

I was at a 3 star with the air quality at 7:10pm.

But then when taking a shower I was super disappointed. The first shower has no hook nor chair or way to hang your stuff.

Then I went into another shower that did, BUT NO WARM WATER! OR HOT WATER?! WHHHAAT! Put a nail in the coffin for me not to want to come back to this particular location.

What a disappointment because overall its a nice location with high ceilings and a nice staff.

I find it HIGHLY disturbing that they promote free memberships for teenagers in the summer but they allow men to be NAKED in the women’s locker room. I am so sorry for posting this but closing at 5 pm tuesday (10/08) when a west coast hurricane is due to come in thursday is abhorrent. I get employees need 2 prepare, but this was ridiculous. If I told my employer I was closing down tues at 5 pm for a storm that's supposed to be here Thursday at noon I would be fired

Edit: We are now 5 days post the storm, while horribly affecting man floridians did not affect us very much at all. Planet fitness still does not have Wi-Fi access. When I ask, I get no details, just it's down. This location and where I live close by did not lose power.So why we still do not have wifi access. Who knows.

In response to the below. My gym, which is still promoted as a 24 hour gym, could it not have closed at 7 or 9 (approx 36 hrs prior)? When many people come for their workout.

The ADA Handycapped shower does Not have a shower chair.
ADA laws require a shower chair be in the ADA shower.
This is not only an inconvenience but also a liability.
Shower chairs are available at Walmart, Target, Home Depot. Lowe's, Amazon and many other locations for under $40.
All of these places will deliver a shower chair to your front desk.
Please don't ask me to speak to the club manager as it's not my responsibility to make sure your club is ADA compliant.
Also, there are young kids

"live streaming TikTok videos" to the internet while other members are changing. I came out of the shower with only a towel around my waist and was clearly seen on one if these videos as is was Live.

Looking into going to another gym. I chose this one because it was 24/7 . Now the hours changing does not allow me to go when I am able and is not convienent at all. There are several gyms locally that are 24/7 and for the same price with no annual fee.

Lots of people on equipment that they are not really using. Texting, talking to there friends, taking selfies but not actually working out. This is a big problem with the squat racks. Only 1 chest fly machine so there is always a wait on that as well.

Nice gym, rude snotty staff. Just moved here excited to meet new people i’m young and in need of friends. Every time I went in I waited at least a minute for the staff to finish their conversation with friends to be helped because I can’t get the app on my phone. There’s a group of boys who come in and literally just talk as loud as they can and it’s so unnecessary and uncomfortable. When I tried to ask what is there to do around here just got snotty responses. Won’t be coming back which is too bad because it is a nice gym. The only respectful person was the lady who cleaned the restrooms, she made me feel comfortable and like I was fitting in. I noticed myself telling them to have a good day because that’s what they are supposed to do first and it’s a habit from other gyms I have been to in the past. Very disappointed.

Clean gym, great price but the irony of this judgement free zone is quite hilarious.
“Judgement free”, yet there’s a huge sign on wall stating “lunk alarm” whilst seemingly criticizing someone who would wear a muscle (at a gym) whilst having a gallon of water with them. This is clearly targeted at the cliche wannabe alpha male. Meanwhile, fails to call out the Instagram/tiktoc chics.

Where’s the “chunk” alarm for someone playing on their phone while using equipment l, not breaking a sweat, wearing their intellectual thick frame glasses…

I have been coming to planet fitness for a long time and have never had a problem till the hours were cut. It is not open 24 hours like it has been advertised for years! The weekend hours stink! When you have a petition signed by hundreds to open up at least at 5am on weekends. Corporate should read there complaints!!!

I have been a paying member since this location opened and I will be canceling my black card. This gym has turned into a teenage social club. The whole club is full of mindless zombie teenagers who sit around on their phones, chatting and taking pictures while taking up EVERY machine in the facility. There isn’t even enough parking to accommodate this many people. I tried to remedy this by going later in the evening especially on weekends when the younger crowd doesn’t go. Now they have changed their hours and aren’t open at the times I usually go. Closing at 7pm on a Saturday and Sunday?! It’s a poor business decision to cater to the “member’s” that don’t pay and not the ones that do. I’ve already found a new gym (not a planet fitness thank god) and will be giving them my business.
I’m sure the company will respond with some generic response like they do on everyone’s reviews and no, I will not email you with my concerns because it’s all written right here. Make the necessary changes or you’ll just lose more business.

Joined this gym because it was 24 hours. Now they allow high school kids to join for free and then cut hours to save money? How does that make sense? Allow teenagers in free and cut hours for paying members. They now close at 9 on Friday and 7 on Saturday and Sunday. Now the gym is packed full of people not paying to be there so I can’t use any of the machines. Good luck getting a smith machine. Prepare to wait inline while the teenagers socialize or sit on their phones. And now they’re closed when I normally go. I’ll be canceling my black card immediately.

My husband and I go 5 days a week. Love that there's 2 floors. I personally love the 30 minute circuit room. I wish people would follow the rules in there. Lots of equipment and several machines, I've never had to wait during my workout routine. Gym is clean and the people are very nice!
