This past weekend i got a day pass at this location. I have been to the other planet fitness on 100 and still feel that to be the worst gym I have ever seen. However, this old kings location was a pleasant surprise!

This was my first time seeing a planet fitness that was actually well equipped. a hack squat, hip thrust, and other matrix machines. Additionally, there was even a squat rack, a real one. I feel the gym utilizes their space really well and both the staff and members all seem very friendly.

I have been working out for a couple years now so to me this gym is still a bit limited, but for the majority of people in the area, this is a very solid option!

Hey everyone.
I have been coming to this gym since 2012. There use to be a round planet fitnes key board to hang your keys on. Thas how trusting everyone one is.
Anyway even to this day everyone is very nice at this gym. We have old and young people , black ,white Asian etc and everyone is respectful. I have read some reviews how some staff are rude, showers being dirty,little wormy bugs in showers etc. But look you pay like 10 bucks a month where not some high class Beverly Hills Gym but sometimes a shower may be dirty or maybe a staff member was a little cranky but overall this is a great gym it's alittle small because palm coast has grown so fast and compare it to your own home. Haven't you ever had a bug come into your house ? Or maybe your family is alittle cranky.
Overall this is a small but great gym with mostly freindly people and compared to a bigger gym we get 3 times the people in a smaller space so lighten up alittle a enjoy your work out.

I do not recommend this Planet Fitness location. The manager was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to assist with basic information regarding my membership. On multiple occasions, she spoke over me, refused to listen, made derogatory comments, and even hung up on me several times.

In contrast, another nearby Planet Fitness location was polite and informative, though they were limited in how they could help due to location restrictions. It's disappointing that such poor customer service is tolerated here. I requested a call through the other facility and they stated they would let upper management know. However, I still have not been contacted. Clear communication and respectful treatment should be a basic standard — unfortunately, that’s not the case at this facility.

I really enjoyed going here, however recently they have moved the equipment around and brought in new things that are all very different and not preferable. There are less machines for leg exercises and they are far from each other. Pretty much all resistance exercise machines that are relative to each other have moved and are far away from each other. Comparatively, before the changes, things were much more organized, and easier to plan a workout with. The staff are very kind and great to be around, very welcoming and inviting.

I wouldn't even give 1 star. I had the worst experience today with the manager at the Old Kings location. What poor customer service from a manager. She just kept repeating herself and talking over me so I couldn't ask a simple question about where to find information on my membership. Then she hung up on me. I had to call over to the other location and not only was my question answered but it was explained as well.

After being a member in good standing for several years I was verbally assaulted by a bulked up, muscle bound body builder in the men's locker room. His size, threatening body language, and raised voice made me nervous that he was going to become physically violent. I gathered my street clothes, and left the locker room immediately, and reported the incident to the staff at the front desk, and they informed me that they were unable to act on this because at that time they had an all female staff working, and female staff members are not allowed in the men's locker room. Really?
They couldn't act on a threatening situation in the men's locker room due to an archaic company policy. So, the wife, and I quit our membership.

Honestly today was not a good day , the gym is very small and a few members seem to act like they have more privileges than others . No gym etiquette not kind but move or you will be moved. The truth be known most times great people the other times front desk will not help but make a bad situation worse . It’s not fair to be mistreated especially when you are doing definitely the right thing . As a women some men will intimidate you or treat you like your not important. Everyone has to wait especially their turn yet there are those who don’t ask don’t consider anything but what they want. God help those people. So much for a no judgement zone gym.
Recently I had a very kind GM for a large number of planet fitness clubs reach out to me personally. The extremely thoughtful manager was able to get more accomplished in just 35 min of a phone conversation than a month or more of issues I had . He helped me to understand and reach a great outcome . I am once again a lot more comfortable going into the gym plus knowing I want have to deal with persons who are working there who were unkind nor be bothered by bully’s . A gym should be a place to release stress not get more or feel uncomfortable going to, especially one that says no judgement. So I am very thankful for the GM plus the manager of the particular location on old kings she wasn’t harsh but listened to me. She may not have resolved the issues but she wasn’t unkind . Communication is vital and persons who not only work there but also people who work out there all need to be able to communicate there desires there issues and figure out a resolution not be criticized speaking of the members . The employees do need understanding for them and for the members so there are no confusion for all. I myself believe gym etiquette is vital so everyone has peace and enjoyment . People want a place to go where it’s comfortable and definitely to benefit their health . Thank you again for your help in the matter.

I like this gym. It's always clean. I like that you can check the app to find out if it's crowded before I go. Doesn't seem to get too crowded though. Plenty of exercise machines available. I do wish they would monitor the yellow room and kick people out who are not using it properly but are just in the way of those who are using it.

Willow Street,, Planet Fitness facility diversity of equipment, staff and cleanliness are great. Better than any other gym in the area.
Just know that besides a credit card to automatically pay monthly membership, they’re going to require your bank routing number to be able to debit your account if the credit card doesn’t work. A recent require membership was unacceptable to me so I closed my account. I’ve had to settle for a lesser gym in the area. but at least I don’t have to worry about my bank account being wiped out after Planet Fitness data might get hacked.

This rating is because of Planet Fitness policy, not the gym itself. They don't have any option for you to cancel easily, You cannot do it online,c you cannot do it over the phone. You have to either go in person or write them a letter. There has been legislation, in other cities, to make this type of practice illegal. It serves no purpose other than to try to keep you spending more money.

Review for the gym itself is great. Very clean, lots of equipment, lots of space, staff were very friendly and helpful. It's worth noting there are no free barbells, only Smith Machines

Went to check it out. Been going to Anytime Fitness for 4 months. But wanted more machines.
I entered planning to just look around. So i told worker at desk what i planned to do. He asked me to fill out some paperwork. I said no. Told him i dont give out my contact information. I just want to look. He then said it was for inshurance reasons. I told him i dont want to test machines.(just finished working out at my gym). Then he asked if i could wait for his coworker to come back. I then told him no, and nevermind. And walked out.

Today when signing up for a membership (one of many times I have been a member here) the lady that was helping me enroll knocked over my very expensive water bottle when flipping the tablet toward me for sign up. The cup broke into several pieces and she was very apologetic. She let me know that the tables was suppose to be bolted down and that management had not yet fixed it. She also told me they would reimburse me for the mistake and she would have her general manager call me today. The general manager Greg called me and let me know they have no liability to replace the item as it is my property and not their responsibility. It’s one thing to decline to remedy the mistakes made by the company but it’s a whole other thing to be told they would and then doesn’t. My interaction with the general manager was less than satisfactory and refuses to find any sort of compromise. I have been a member of this club countless times over the course of ten years and I am incredibly disappointed in how this situation was handled and how I was treated. I will be following up with corporate about this immediately and expect a resolution on behalf of the company I have supported for a third of my life. Absolutely unacceptable treatment of your loyal customers.

My experience at this location was terrible. When I checked in, the assistant manager, Greg, insisted that I sign a new contract that would impose an annual fee and a term limit on my membership. This was in direct contrast to the original agreement I signed online with a different location. When I showed him my original contract, he still insisted I sign the new one, threatening to flag my account so I couldn't use their facilities. I reached out to corporate and their legal team, who confirmed that this location had no right to force me into a new contract. I highly recommend avoiding this location due to their questionable practices!

Let me start by saying that I am a veteran that served in desert storm, and to be treated this badly by Greg and the young girl with long hair should be a crime. I have health related issues that cause me not to want a picture taken and as a long term member at other locations I have never had to have a picture taken, I have always shown my drivers license (which has my picture) and it proves that I am who I say I am, so you can’t say someone is using my id. Greg said that I can get a picture or get out, and what kind of customer service is that! What a shame that this country and this gym has turned into this. I will be back at my gym at the hammocks in total peace and quiet without dealing with rude staff.

While i enjoy going to planet fitness one of the perks of the black card is getting either a hydro massage or a chair massage for 10 minutes. I have been a member since January 2024. Never had an issue until past month. i have been unable to utilize the chair because 2 guys are using it for 15 minutes. During peak time it should be limited to 10 minutes. I don't mind waiting my turn or 5 minutes but 15 is inconsiderate. I may be downgrading my membership.

The gym is clean and nice to work in but the dealing with the work crew and management is HORRIBLE. I was given misinformation from an employee who I dealt with to get a membership for my 13 year old niece because due to her age she didn't qualify for the summer pass. As he was guiding me through the process he specifically explained to me that I wouldn't need to be present with my 15 and 13 year old as they came to work out. So I signed her up for membership and started dropping them off and picking them up the next day and this continued for a few weeks. Then one day, the employee with the blonde hair stopped my 13 year old at the door and told her An adult needed to be with her. I was still in the parking lot when she called so I went in the lobby and sat. The employee who I signed up with wasn't there so I chose to hold off on confrontation. I tried to sit there a few times while they worked out for the sake of peace but it was conflicting with my schedule. So my daughter and niece lost interest and no longer wanted to go. I called to cancel membership and told the reason why but was told I needed to come in person. I went in person and was very upset explaining that the employee gave me misinformation and had I known I had to be their I wouldn't have wasted my time coming up there. The older lady behind the counter kept talking over me about the contract and I kept telling her I was not told that by the guy who helped me because had I known, I wouldn't have been dropping them off and picking them up for weeks. Never ONCE did they apologize for the misinformation by THE EMPLOYEE. Never ONCE were they understanding. Instead they continued to charge my bank account even when they told me I was pending a cancellation. I was not told that my account would be billed again after the cancellation until I found out this morning. I called and explained that I didn't know my account would be billed again even AFTER I had cancelled. I spoke with the owner this morning and once again, even as an OWNER, she NEVER APOLOGIZED for her dishonest employee giving me misinformation in order to make a membership same. No type of accountability was taken. These people have NO INTEGRITY and they take NO ACCOUNTABILITY done at the hand of fellow employees. I will also be reporting them to the BBB because this type of snake oil salesman tactics should be frowned upon. These businesses forget that they are open to service customers. If planet fitness has no customers there would be no planet fitness. Like I said it's not a bad place to workout but the staff AND THE OWNER are not good when it comes to doing business with them.

I was on vacation this week and wanted to work out a few days so I went to Planet Fitness in Palm Coast off Kings Hwy. I inquired about a day pass, and the staff person asked how many days I was planning on coming to the gym, as it was cheaper to buy multiple days. So I purchased a 2 day pass and used the first day on Tuesday. When I returned on Thursday to use my second day, a different staff member told me I could not use the facility, as a 2 day pass has to be used on consecutive days. I told the female staffer along with an older male staffer who arrived at the counter that I was never told I had to use the pass on consecutive days, or I wouldn't have purchased that option. I then asked for a refund since I didn't get to use my second day, but the staffers said they could not give me a refund, and I'd have to pay another $20 to use the gym, so I bit my tongue and left. The staffers need to get on the same page when selling multiple day passes and their customer service stinks. I emailed corporate but was advised yo make all inquiries to the local facility. Well they will never get another dime from me, and buyer beware!

I canceled my membership months ago after I got a TikTok sent to me that a staff member took (of me and some others who went to the judgement free zone for peace while working out) making fun of me for struggling. Lots of deeply unpleasant comments about my body online for all to see, just what I needed to motivate my workout routine.

Today I was charged again by planet fitness and when I went in to figure out the issue the manager told me he’s never even heard of my complaint and that there’s no record of my cancellation anywhere.

Convenient that when my cancellation involved a complaint against staff it vanished and no one knows anything about it, and now I have to pay 200$ to cancel my already cancelled membership.

If you’re new to fitness or just starting I don’t recommend this gym unless you want to be mocked by people online. Staff is clearly protecting each other regarding the issue too.

Edit: the response below that the club replied giving me an email to contact about my situation is essentially a corporate email that has stated that all planet fitness clubs are independently owned so they can’t do anything about the issue. I don’t know why I was even directed to contact this email because they just directed me to the same staff that caused this problem in the first place.

Ever since I’ve started pursuing this issue I’ve been getting calls telling me essentially “we don’t believe you we don’t have any evidence of you being here so it didn’t happen and no we won’t cancel your membership”. It’s been just them saying maybe the incident happened at another gym I was recorded at a different gym. Which even if true, wouldn’t change the fact I am REQUIRED to go to my home gym, which is this one, to cancel. And I cancelled there. So even if I’m wrong and the video was taken by a different planet fitness, still cancelled here and they still messed it up and let me build a balance while I was under the impression the account was closed.

I’ve called corporate, however being that this gym is independently owned there isn’t anything that can be done. “Pay us or we won’t cancel your membership and we will continue to charge you over and over”.

Note for anyone else: corporate planet fitness told me that even if there’s a balance (deserved or not) when you want to cancel your membership, they can’t hold the balance against you in terms of cancelling. They are required to close the membership so the amount stops accruing, you aren’t supposed to owe more from that moment on.

I’ve been coming here for a while almost everyday, and I do love the ability to zone out and just bike and listen to my music. So in a sense it does what I want to help me lose more weight. The problems are depending on time of day/staff it’s oddly unprofessional from workers. And a lot of the members seem overly judgmental of others. If certain workers are there I know the floor is gonna be bad, usually low or out of paper towels. Too many people hanging around machines for 10-30 minutes with friends narrowing the availability of a workout. The other day I saw an elderly member fall down and was only helped by fellow members the workers up front were too busy on their phones to check the monitor that showed 4/5 members crowded a senior on the floor. It’s a true shame. The change of hours that hinders those who work late on weekends and have to lose out on some days because of unknown reasons. Because we don’t pay to get in it’s a monthly statement so it’s not a finance thing. Only thing I can think of is those only using the membership for shower access and honestly who cares. Workers to lazy to clean up an extra shower or two? I digress if it wasn’t for the overpriced nature I would have changed my membership. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Planet Fitness in Palm Coast is a great exercise gym. If you are vaccinated, now is the time to get back in shape. Planet Fitness has a good selection of machines and is not crowded during the day when I have been exercising.

Hours need to be updated on Google. It says open 24 hours for both locations in palm coast but neither was open one evening. After calling we found out they’re only 24 hours 3 days out of the week. Some clarification of daily hours would be helpful so people don’t waste their time driving there to find it’s closed.

I don't like that they are no longer a 24/7 gym!!!They have changed their hours! Especially weekend hours. Very upsetting because I wish i would have been told this when I joined. I had to find out by a paper put on the outside door! Very unprofessional.

bummed out by the new hours. This gym is already packed as it is so cramming everyone into going from 7-7 over the weekend is ridiculous. Will be canceling my membership and i’ve talked to several other people about canceling theirs. the whole motto of pf besides it being “judgement free” which it is NOT, is also the fact that they were 24 hours.

Very chill place to work out. Friendly people, no lugheads hogging the equipment. Get the Black zone membership as the waterjet massage beds , and the coin operated massage chairs and my absolute favorite red light therapy zone are a must.

Not happy about this. My whole point of subscribing was the convenience of hours. The corporation needs to set stricter standards on hour minimums so franchises don't minimize past what's necessary. There's not a McDonald's in America that closes before 9:00. Embarrassing a gym closes sooner.

They allow their employees/trainers to scream at people who are in the same workout room as them because we won’t get off the equipment they weren’t using! I have tried to cancel my membership since November and keep being charged for it. Will be filing a fraud claim

Iv been trying to cancel for months due to me moving and cant go anymore , they dont pick up the phones, iv emailed corporate , iv done everything possible to cancel this membership and i keep getting charged !! Theres no possible way to cancel this membership without taking a 3 grand plane trip just to cancel this stupid membership ? Im in the military so its not even possible for me to leave post for me to come down whenever i want and i definitely dont get paid enough to just take a trip to cancel this. Im tired of calling and emailing and begging to cancel! I want my money back i havent even been to this gym in over half a year!! I cant honestly fathom this is how they treat a military member

Despite what I hard about planet fitness, I never had any problems here; only with one other gym goer, but that's not the gym's fault. Clean, has all I need personally for lifting and whatnot, and staff is overall friendly. I am happy to have this gym be where I started my fitness journey.

We have been going to PF since it opened on Old Kings. We’ve watched staff come for a season and move on. Everyone is always fun, uplifting, friendly & inviting. It’s like the local hangout for us. Thank you to the staff for making me smile at the end of really hard days. We’ve been through two ankle replacements and two hip replacements and keep coming back to strengthen our bodies. I have been going here for several years and Nowhere in my contract does it say that a man pretending to be a woman is allowed to use the woman’s bathroom. this is extremely unsafe for women and I will not support a company like this. they breached my contract and I will not be going to planet fitness anymore

I reluctantly started a membership there last year. I really hate the predatory payment scheme where you have to allow automatic bank withdrawals. Decided to cancel after one month but didn't cancel soon enough and got screwed with an auto payment. Now, thanks to the 'men in the women's locker room policy', I can get my wife and daughter memberships at a non-woke gym.

It was clean and busy so good job team. Wasn't greeted at walk in. Wasn't gestured to scan my app. Wasn't told good bye, which is whatever but it's nice to greet people as they come in to your establishment.

Billie jean told me I couldn't jump rope bc I wasn't allowed to bring my own equipment in....while the woman across from me did yoga with some pink yoga equipment she had and some guy did situps while holding a weigh over his head. ....so I guess Ill go jump rope at the beach or something.....this is my fifth PF in the three years and no one else ever had an issue....

TLDR: Planet Fitness assured me on three separate occasions that our membership was canceled and yet I discovered they’ve charged us annual fees and monthly dues totaling almost $1,500 since that time. Their employees never documented anything in their system about the cancellation and never gave us any paperwork to sign and they’re not going to do anything to fix it. I can’t even get a manager on the phone.

Full Story: I cancelled our Planet fitness membership about two years ago. I called to cancel and was asked to come in person, which I did and was told in person that it had been canceled. They charged us again and told that my membership was definitely canceled but that my husbands was not able to be cancelled until he came in person. My husband went in person and was told (for the third time now!) that everything was cancelled. Fast forward, I notice an annual membership fee charged to our account. I start digging back and find that they have STILL been charging monthly membership fees this whole time. The club is now saying there’s nothing they can do about the fact that THEIR employees didn’t do what they were supposed to - they didn’t document anything about the multiple times I came in to cancel and they never asked me to sign anything. I stopped payments through our bank now, but between membership dues and annual fees they owe us about $1,500 and they have zero desire to fix the issue.

The manager in this facility is horrible and doesn't like to help with issues she will hang up in your face when she doesn't get her way and allows the crew to do the same and then won't even answer the phone when you call back...horrible customer service and won't give you corporate number.
