Not veteran friendly, or supportive. Wouldn’t recommend

Responding to you. I am a veteran and a single parent, and Planet Fitness was one of the few places I could go to relieve stress and focus on my mental health. For the past two weeks, I brought my kids with me—they quietly sat in the front lobby with their tablets, being respectful and not disturbing anyone. Today, I was told they could no longer sit there, and I was essentially kicked out.

This was upsetting, especially after being allowed to do this without issue before. For someone like me, fitness is not just physical—it’s essential for my mental health and well-being. I’ve now canceled my membership and would not recommend this gym to other veterans or parents. Clearly, this location does not care about the community or the people who rely on it for a safe and healthy outlet.

I have been visiting this gym for over 15 years and I enjoy it and I appreciate the way that it has upgraded and it’s being ran. However, this new program that started I think last summer that allows high school kids to attend. The gym freight of charge is absolutely absurd if they are not going to be held to particular hours There is far too many kids in there at the peak hours of the day when hard-working grown-ups get off of work and that’s the only time that they have to work out. Also, they are paying customers and should not have to endure the high school freebies at the busy hours thank you. CalebLet’s get this thing fixed.

I’ve been going to planet fitness since the day they started building it they were a little building next-door. I joined then been going on and off but now this is the time I have to be serious. Kyle, he is the trainer and he does a fantastic job. I have my grandson who is 13 and he is enjoying going to the gym and Kyle was a big help for that. The gym is always clean. You know when it’s crowded if you look at your app on your phone. Great place

I had great service from Jon, I was unable to join elsewhere due to being a tourist however he got me sorted speedily and got me training again. Sam is amazing.
As I’m walking all the way to the back to that right back area.. I’m looking around and it’s all clean. All clean! For once.
Most of the time, day or night, some girl or dude, is just looking at their phones all pissed off and the place looks like a ten dollar a month membership, dude you could just eat off that floor when Sam was working.
Now, remember, I’ve been coming to this place at random hours since Allie and Kevin were working the booth and there were idiots dropping barbells on their necks.
And I’m telling you, no one, no one, not even that one girl that got canned can hold a candle to Miss Sam.

That young woman has such a work ethic that is rarely seen.
She wiped down every single thing at that gym, swept and mopped every single inch of that floor and she told us all that if we needed anything, she was in the back.
I don’t know who owns this place but brother, pay her more.
You can teach someone how to run a register, you can teach people how to not leave crumbs while they’re eating at the front..
But dude, there’s some things you can’t teach.
That right there, that’s the golden goose.

Yes I've reinstated my membership going black card this time this way I can jump into a gym anywhere.
People at front counter were friendly and helpful in getting my membership restarted.
This particular one is new and a decent variety of equipment
I would have given five stars however water pressure in the showers is something to be desired. A few times while I was showering water pressure completely disappeared several times over. Happens consistently every time I've showered.

I recently became a member at the Rockledge facility through the Silver & Fit program. Jon was very knowledgable and helpful in assisting me through the sign up process. Everyone at the Rockledge facility is welcoming and helpful. The facility is clean, it has a wide variety of workout equipment, several showers, lockers, two massage chairs and two hydro massage beds which is an excellent way to end your workout. I really enjoy working out at Planet Fitness and I highly recommend this gym.

Apparently you need to cancel your membership well in advance which we were not notified of, even though we went in to do the membership and if not they keep taking money from your account and if it doesn’t go through they use a different name to take it from you bank and they refuse to give you a refund

The gym is maintained well, and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this facility to everyone who wants to stay active while straying away from any negative or aggressive vibes or energy. Thumbs up 👍 and smiles😀 for miles! Thank you Planet Fitness Cocoa for keeping membership prices affordable for athletes of all ages, as to encourage everyone to stay active and healthy. The handicapped parking is also available outside, and “no gymtimidation” policy encourages people to come in regardless of their familiarity with any kind of gym. The “lunk alarm” discourages anyone from exerting themselves overly obnoxiously, as to discourage anyone from intimidating fellow athletes that may be sensitive to any overt displays of aggression in this shared space.

Progressive overloading can be great for your fitness, but probably best done elsewhere, if your body requires more than average amounts of load bearing resistance training. Much of the clientele here seems to be more mature and sensitive to that type of workout so I’d encourage you to try to accomplish that in an environment that is more specialized in that type of exercise. 🏋🏽‍♀️ The lack of any barbell perfectly demonstrates that idea, although the numerous smith machines allow for very comparable movements, in a safer and more controlled environment.

Safety comes first at this gym, and respect to everyone involved becomes a very important important component of their core values. I really appreciate the support and encouragement from everyone involved in making things accessible to everyone and anyone.

There is no such thing as a stupid question here, and the answer is either provided by the brilliant and committed staff, or provided at some point by their commitment to excellence. I have been to many Planet Fitness locations all over the country, but I feel extremely fortunate to live 5 minutes away from this exceptional location.

The 30 minute workout area is also great for super quick workouts on lunch breaks for those with time constraints. A huge thank you goes out to the community and staff for creating and maintaining an environment of inclusivity and tolerance regardless of anything! Don't try to cancel your membership unless you're in person. My wife and I had Black Memberships each for over 2 years, we moved out of town (about 2.5 hours away without a local Planet Fitness) and forgot to cancel our membership in person prior to moving - an honest mistake. We sent cancelation letters as instructed to no avail, still being charged almost $50/month. Finally sent registered and signed letters, still got charged. Had to call multiple times, send proof of sent and received registered letters until they finally canceled our membership. This is 2024, why are we relying on snail mail to conduct business? Very wrong and clearly a "gotcha" or "goat rope". I will never have a Planet Fitness membership again no matter how attractive the price or updated the club is. Their cancelation policy is antiquated and clearly predatory. Get with the times.

Why degrade the quality of your member experience by taking a bunch of equipment away when you can’t put something else back

Already talked to the manager who claimed the equipment didn’t get put together because of the rain but who puts a 3000 lb Preece of equipment together outside and then moves it… how long are you going to be without equipment that was removed

In this morning to still no new equipment to replace what was removed and a fresh new inconvenience having to sign myself into the black card spa using a new computer kiosk that managed to get fully installed but couldn’t get the new equipment done seems like priorities are a bit off base

I can't believe I'm writing this review but I go to PF for the chill atmosphere. Over the past few months there has been so many men in skinny bodybuilding tank tops with the gallon water jugs, standing in the middle of the gym taking pictures of themselves in the mirror it's ridiculous. I counted 5 today in the hour I was there today. I felt like I was constantly trying to not get in their picture. The workers refuse to say anything to them, stop them, or make them leave. It's annoying, distracting, and literally everything PF is against. I just come here to work out and be healthy. The only reason it's not one star is because it's clean.

I used to love coming here. I've been a member for at least 8 yrs. Lately it's a pain. The kids come in to "work out" in pajamas and sit on machines to be on their phones, and no one is wiping their machines down. And I do mean no one from all ages even during the day when it's older people. Its so gross. Majority of the female staff look miserable and mumble to you as you leave. No smile, no eye contact, nothing.

Finally broke away today and signed up for a different gym after almost getting into an argument with the manager regarding planet fitness overcharging me. After I told him there's already an open case with planet fitness's billing regarding overcharging me for over a year, instead of picking up the phone or asking me more information I simply got a "I can't let you in unless you pay all these extra fees". Umm, no ... Planet fitness is the exact and specific reason I had to cancel one of my cards and you think I'm going to trust them with another card number? After looking into a more it seems a lot more people than I thought are having similar issues so anybody that currently goes there, keep an eye on your bank statement... Because they will take take take and when they overtake, it is a nightmare to try to get your money back. Your best bet is to cancel your membership and run as far away as you can. I signed up with a different gym today and I couldn't be happier, I love it and I wish I would have signed up with better bodies a long time ago.

Go at different hours of the day. Try to avoid busier times when people stop to work out after work so I don't have to wait for equipment I want to use! Always take my reusable water bottle, but drinks are available for sale at $$$ in lobby. Equipment is kept in good condition with free weights and lots of cardio equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, stepper/climbers, & bikes! There are multiple paper towel dispensers around with bottles of disinfectant spray to wipe the equipment down before & after you use it to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses

Clean facility. I came very early AM. It was slow, so the guy had the place in great shape. My only complaint is the showers. The first shower had too much pressure, it actually hurt my skin. Also, the temperature control handle was loose, and so gravity would pull it down, which made the water too hot. Also, the inside of the shower liner was kinda slimy. Weird thing was, second shower, exact same issues! The water was coming out of the shower head like a 2.5 gpm was overclocked at 6 gpm! And the handle would not stay put, it dropped down and made the water too hot. Now, surely the third shower.... uh, yup. Same thing. Finally, the fourth shower was not too strong with pressure, and the handle stayed put. Whew! Glad I didn't have to resort to the handicap shower.

I haven’t used this gym in like 10 months and they won’t let me cancel unless in person at the same building I got the membership at, I’d have to go across the state to get there so I sent letters and of course they say they did not get them ,I am not happy with how they steal money. The gym is big and not busy when I go. There is new equipment and multiple of the same so you do t have to wait.

However, the staff at night are usually in their phones or talking with friends. I have come in a few nights and there is bits of paper all over the floor. Water bottles under equipment or on shelves (including one that has been in same shelf for 2 days).
