I'm a new member, currently residentially challenged and I use the gym to not only work out but to shower and maintain my hygiene many of the members are snobbish at those of us who use the gym for our daily hygiene requirements and some of the staff have been very abrupt with me while I was there

Great gym for the price and it's open 24hrs. There's a crowd meter through the app so you can check how crowded it is before you go. The equipment and layout is descent. The parking is a bit tight but you can always find a spot.

A girl who worked there came up to me and told me to turn the volume off on my phone because I had headphones on. I told her regardless of my headphones, I can listen to two things at once. I turned my phone on because the guy behind me was blaring the TV. She said nothing to him.

Also, I have nothing against the trans community, but biological males and females should be in the appropriate locker rooms. I've encountered gym members of the opposite sex in the same bathroom as me and it made me feel very uncomfortable.

I spoke with Kenzie Oct, 2025. She was very helpful and answered all my concerns. I believe this is one of the oldest gyms, the building is old and outdated and it does need to update the restrooms and shower area. However it is a smaller place that is open 24/7. This Gym has survived Covid and all the hurricanes and still going strong. Positive that this gym is interesting to people of all ages.

I can't give it a five-star because this has got to be the smallest Planet Fitness I've ever been to. However, you have everything you need here and its very clean and well maintained. Since the place is small the workout machines are packed tight. Parking can be a challenge too. The music is very loud in the morning, maybe to wake you up, but its difficult to hear what you have playing on your earbuds.

I can't speak for all location but this location is great. You can show up and not even have your card and they'll get you in. There's so much equipment you'll never have to fight over something. They're open 24/7. There's always clean. It's always got a nice energy. They've got snacks. It might be more expensive than some other centers but it works.

This location does not live up to what I expect from Planet Fitness. It's run down, dark, cramped, smelly and much of the equipment is in poor condition. It's seems like everything in here is jerry-rigged.

Buckets on the floor are a permanent fixture here to collect the water that leaks from the ceiling and AC units. The ceiling is LOADED with dust bunnies. The equipment is rusty with cracks in the padding.

It's a shame, because I really like Planet Fitness, but this one does not live up to the name. 😢

Friendly staff but gym is too small for all the equipment. It’s compacted and uncomfortable. My friend showed me the ventilation system above the stairmasters and the accumulated dust is concerning. I notified the manager who said he’d have the cleaning staff take care of it but I won’t be back to see if it’s done. Largo is the best in the area now

I prefer this location over the one in Seminole. Seminole location is so hot that I can barely workout, especially in the corner by the windows. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. Before moving I went into the location and canceled my membership, they continued taking money out of my account the following month . I called them and they said I would have to come in to the location to cancel, I explained I no longer lived in the area and that I already came in to cancel before I moved. They then said I would have to send a CERTIFIED LETTER in order to cancel. Although I found this to be a ridiculous requirement to cancel my membership I went ahead and sent the certified letter as instructed. Even after sending the certified letter they continued taking money out of my account again the following month and then again the month after that. At this point I canceled my debit card and had to get a new debit card. The following month they took money out of my account again, this time using my checking account routing number and account number. If you give Planet Fitness your payment information you will regret it. BUYER BEWARE OF THESE SHAMEFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES BY PLANET FITNESS. This company should be subject to a class action lawsuit because I’m sure I’m not the only customer they’ve put through this

I’ve been coming to this gym On and off for years. The gym is great and Cleaned daily, The price is pretty great and they offer different types of memberships. But throughout my time of coming to planet fitness I’ve had a problem with Hassan at the front desk. I have a black card membership, Which entails you getting a free guest in whenever you want. The first time I got somebody in They filled out the information on their phone, and I was unsure of how it worked so I just scanned my code and we tried to walk through. This was my first interaction with Hassan. I am all for people doing their jobs, And I respect that. But as we were walking through, he kind of aggressively stops us (Which is completely fine The aggression was unneeded though) Then I explained to him that we had filled out the information and he Properly showed me how to do it. So I didn’t think much of it after that. My second encounter, I was trying to ask him a question about my black card membership if my guests get to use The Hydro massage And tanning bed and before I can get the question out he was like “nopeee”. I was a little offputting that I couldn’t get My question out, but I still didn’t think anything of it And thanked him for his help. This last time I went to the gym I do not appreciate help me and my guest were treated. I use my black card membership to get one specific friend and basically every time we go. I had sent him a referral code Which gave him a free day pass. He had not used the day pass since Every time we go to the gym I’m always there So I just scanned him as my guest. Today, my other friend asked me to come to the gym With My best friend. I told them that I will get them in as Guest and told my other friend to just use his free day pass. When we got up to the counter, he said there was a problem, but then looked at his computer And was like oh no, never mind you’re good. With having previous small issues With him before I did walk off and say something a little bit snarky. So he followed my friends who males Into the locker room And told him he was not allowed to use his guest pass But he’s basically going to let it slide this time. He waited for him outside while he was changing. It feels like because I said something snarky Instead of saying something to me, he went and said something to my guests… When I went up to the counter to ask him about it, he told me that his guest pass had been scanned multiple times and that’s not true. And when I asked him what happened in the bathroom He said he simply told him this pass has been scanned too many times and he’s going to cancel it? I mean, it’s a day pass it expired already since we scanned it right? I think the whole altercation was unnecessary, especially because he did not relay me the information correctly because my guess said that is not the conversation that was had in the restroom. His response is he’s just doing his job.. Which I’ve been completely understanding But to follow them into the locker room to tell them, there’s a “problem” But we still were given entry to the gym As we did nothing wrong. If there was a problem, he simply should not have let us in But after we walked up from the front desk and he followed them into the locker room Seems like he was trying to be intimidating. Following someone into the locker Room because you didn’t read your computer right And have an altercation for no reason it’s just unnecessary. So please management Please talk to Hassan about His attitude/intimidation tactics because I’m not here for it.

Don’t get a membership, you must go in to cancel and if you are unable to go in they insist you send a”written letter”. Just about every other subscription service is obliged to have the option to cancel online, because this is a predatory business practice that has been make the status quo by large gym corporations. For a gym that seems to want to set itself apart from other gyms, this one is lacking in all the ways that truly matter just like the rest. Find a local small business gym that won’t play with your wallet of finances, you’ll be better off. Note that the owner has a tendency to copy and paste responses to negative reviews, they don’t actually care about your issues and they will not address them, they will only feed you a line and maybe send a link that isn’t likely to resolve the situation.

Sometimes the Black card area seems more like a lounge for wifi users. Would aslo be nice if BC area had a different set of music then the gym. Perhaps more space like. But that's just my humble opinion.

Working in the area so I decided to go work out since this location was open 24hrs/7 days. That's nice.
I travel across the country and have been to around 100 planet fitness.

The BAD.
When you walk in it doesn't have much light. Feels pretty dark.
But what i was most disgusted with was after I worked out I went and took a shower. The shower didn't put enough water out to wash my face nevertheless the rest of my body.
I told the front staff and they didn't even acted like they cared. This was a total disgrace for planet fitness.

It's dark in here. Massage chairs broken. Lockers are broken also, and the parking situation is horrible. It's really hard to get back out on 66th Street as its location is so close to the stoplight. I usually do not come to this Planet Fitness … I go to the one in seminole. & after my experience with the female up front, I will not be back to this location ever again. I came here on Saturday 1/11/2024 around 11am. Before I left around 1:20 I asked for me & my guest to get a massage. I was told no for me and my guest. I am a black card member. I understand if my guest can not.. I guess my location is nicer with letting my guests go with me. But for me to be refused as well is unacceptable. I asked for the managers name she turned her back and said the cards are right there. I then asked for her name and she still had her back turned and said what do you need my name for? She is very rude and disrespectful and lacks proper customer service.The manager here Tim Cook is also no help and allows the poor customer service here at this gym. One minute he says he can barely hear the audio then magically he didn’t hear his employee say anything.

SUGGESTION Put an obvious Exit only sign up. We have had problems more than once trying to enter when a car is going out the Entrance. 9/24 place stinks like sweat (it wasn’t crowded) and it’s very humid and hot, specially in the weights area, the reception side is cool.
Staff added a big floor fan that is loud and doesn’t solve the problem; if anything the floor fan should be by the reception (cold area) blowing towards the hot area. 🤯

Wonderful experience signing up for their black membership, the top tier was the same as the cheap tier if you buy by the year. 49 bucks for a year membership is a great deal no matter who you are.

Ricky was the salesman at the counter who helped sign me up and explain the entire program. Very helpful and customer service oriented. Luckily the manager on duty was around to let know at 3 AM.

Always always happy when management is available.

I love the 66th street st petersburg planet fitness! It will be my go to from now and so close to Tyrone Mall and late hours the trainers are awesome, the staff is courteous and engaging. Just a pleasure after a long day on the job!

My husband and I like this gym, they just added new equipment wich is great. my issue is they got rid of a bunch of the ab machines and they are scattered within the gym . I’d really like more Ab machines. And can they all be in one area? So all the legs arms backs etc are all in the general area. Why are the Abs not? For these reasons I took off a star.

Has fallen into disrepair over the last year or so. Roaches In the locker room, equipment broken or worn down, paint flaking off the walls and more issues. I've also recently noticed an increase of homeless people in the locker rooms using it to sleep and do drugs. One night I saw a gentleman under the influence struggling to stand. Teens vape and smoke weed all around the gym, but especially in the locker room. Gym is otherwise small and cramped. The only saving grace is the night shift worker is one of the nicest and friendliest people you'll ever meet.

You get what you pay for.
If you are looking for a cheap gym with plenty of cardio equipment this place might be for you.
As far as weight lifting goes, like most PFs, they do not have ANY barbells and the dumbbells do not go higher than 75lbs. Smith machines are not an acceptable substitute for a proper squat rack.
It's also worth mentioning that while the desk staff are very professional, the custodial staff is not. Compared to the newer Seminole Blvd location, this place is not clean. The bathroom often stinks HEAVILY of urine and foot odor. They also do a mostly bad job of keeping up on the cleanliness of other areas of the facility.
On top of that, the parking lot is cramped and not convenient to enter/exit.
What keeps this place from getting a 1-star rating is the very affordable price and 24 hours of operation.
For a highly populated area, this neighborhood is lacking in gym choices, which is why I had to compromise with this location.

Tanning beds are disgusting. Beds are not cleaned or ever serviced before or after users. There are signs on the walls asking you to clean your bed before and after use, which I do anyway. However, it is not sanitary to allow multiple users in beds without someone properly trained cleaning them. I used one recently, there were no paper towels in the dispenser for me to even do so. Hair, fingernails, finger/body part prints everywhere. The first 5 minutes I have before my bed automatically turns on is supposed to be for undressing/applying lotion. Instead, I spend the entire, maybe more, 5 minutes cleaning just to be able to even use the bed. It defeats the "perk" that you are offering this service, when I'm doing the maintenance on your rooms every time I am there. Meanwhile, there are sometimes up to 4-5 employees standing at the front just talking to each other. The bulbs are mostly flickering or out in every bed as well. I like this gym, would just make sense if the actual employees were responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of it.

I recently visited this location for the first time to purchase a pre-workout drink and a Gatorade. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by what I felt was harassment and unfair treatment. Love this place!! Great atmosphere and most of the staff is super friendly. It’s clean, no one bugs you and I haven’t had to wait for a machine. I like their system of “classes” instead of personal trainers always having to hustle people for sales. And love the perks of bringing a friend, hydrobeds and infrared

All of the equipment was in working order. this planet fitness is better then a lot of the other because they don’t have a surplus of ellipticals and treadmills that will never get filled instead they have more of the more popular equipment

I have asked to cancel my membership over 6 mos ago. I have sent emails about how I can do this. Emails are ignored and billing continues. Worse customer service I have seen.

Bought a pass here while on vacation and can't say enough about the most of the staff, the clientele, and the equipment. The ladies at the front desk were sensational. The one guy who looked like a manager not so much. Really enjoyed working out on the latest generation LifeFitness machines. Makes my gym here in Atlanta look bad in comparison. Nice place.

After years of visiting this gym I've been denied access. Largo is my home gym because is walking distance of my house, but on the weekends I go to the St.Pete gym because they are the only ones open Friday - Sun overnight. That being said the General Manager Tim Cooks is forcing anyone non home member to switch to his St.Pete gym in order to get access overnight from Friday - Sun. He called me directly and stated that my access is Reciprocal to My home gyms open hours. By the Agreement that we all signed, it never states a restriction to visit a non home gym other than being limited to 10 visits a month, which I never come close to using all of them. If St.Pete is not your home gym DO NOT Transfer under their pressure. Because then you'll have only 10 visits at your current home gym. Corporate said that its fine and dandy for men to be in the women's locker-room/bathroom....me and may 6 girls are out. We've cancelled our membership...that was paid in full for the year...no refunds.

It's not a local issue this is a corporate issue. Planet Fitness will not give you a membership unless you give them your bank account and routing number. That's ridiculous. They say it's for our convenience but what if I don't want to give my account number out to anyone? What if I don't believe in the banking system? It's sad that there are no options with this gym. You can only do direct pay which I won't do for anything.looks like it's gonna be 24 hour fitness or the next closest gym

This is a great planet fitness! The staff are super friendly and everything is always clean! I have never had it be overly crowded. The only tricky thing is parking because it is limited but there is additional parking around the back...
