The place is well maintained, staff is always making sure it stays clean. Very friendly staff. It's fully equipped. The only downfall I found is that, it's smaller compared to the planet fitness on Monroe and the one on Paul Russell.

Update: The new layout looks great. However, when using some machines, they hit the machines being used besides me.. so it is a bit of an inconvenience, to stop every time the other person does a rep.

Lots of newer faces at this location. I primarily use the Kerry Forest latin for my morning workout. A few months ago I started walking to this location on my lunch break to get out from behind my desk and grab a few minutes in the massage chairs. Want to give a shoutout to Payton, as I walk in the door she is already having some tokens to hand my while I scan in. Friendly employees make this a highlight of my work day. Will be forced to change my workouts to lunchtime due to work obligations soon and I am looking forward to it. Keep it up Payton, I appreciate it!

This location has super friendly employees, who also have great playlists if you forget your headphones (and they play the music pretty loud too) which is a plus! I recently visited the Planet Fitness on Capital Circle while in town on business, and I had a great experience. The gym is cozy but well-equipped, making it easy to get a solid workout in without waiting for equipment. The layout is functional, and the gym wasn't crowded during my visit, which was a big plus.

The playlist they had was pretty good, though I ended up tuning it out for my own music after my pre-workout kicked in. The locker room was spacious and clean, adding to the overall positive experience.

To much disappointment, they recently changed their hours and close at 7:00pm on Saturday. Or even earlier depending on who is staff that day
.. So today, when I walked in around 6:20pm, the white guy with the long light brown hair at the front, tells me they "close at 7 so make it a quick workout." At 6:48pm, he flags me down and says "two minutes. You got two minutes and we have to have everyone out by 6:50." He then tells me, that it's not his call and that "corporate" said so. This is bad business.

Horrible conditions at the gym for weeks now. Apparently the AC is broken and still will not be fixed for several more weeks. Men's

I'm really pleased and happy with the staff members, they are very attentive. We're new to the PF and to it's concept, and Alex & DJ are always making sure my daughter (15y) are ok and have what we need. They walk around the gym cleaning and organizing the equipment. I love how clean everything is and how the clients keep it that way. I'm definitely referring them to my friends. Very helpful to customers, the security at the mall is harming their business by telling customers they cannot sit or drink beverages they purchased nearby, bullying them. The security, Plantation Security, is threatening the customers if they are temporarily outside in the heat, uncaring knowing the situation. Not referring to any homeless, but wouldn't be nasty to any homes ourselves, but compassion and understanding are key to any business location.

I've been a member of this location since January, 2023. This location has always been great until my experience tonight when an employee of this establishment created a severly uncomfortable situation! With the way social media is in this day and age, it's severely uncomfortable when people record/take pictures and you're in the background. Thats EXACTLY what a female team member did tonight. She began taking pictures in the back corner of the gym with myself and another gym goer in the background. Seeing this, I glanced over and multiple pictures were taken. Employees should follow the same rules/guidelines set in place that gym goers are expected to follow. Please respect our privacy! This was serverly uncomfortable. After speaking to a male associate who was very sweet and understanding, it did not resolve the situation. Can this please be addressed? This is very discouraging to continue visiting this location. Thank you.

I love the gym's convenience, clean atmosphere, color scheme, and guest amenities. My faves are the hydro massage bed (before and/or after a workout) or massage chairs, and the stretching cave. Great equipment, the signs make it a weird atmosphere feels like you have to be self-conscious when you’re lifting, also, their holiday hours are trash they don’t even open up until 6 and that’s on the day after, about to just get an Anytime fitness card, or crunch of which were open today 11/24. I understand, closing the day of the holiday, but opening Late the next day doesn’t really make any sense.

After the pandemic I rejoined Planet Fitness at the black club level, which costs more, 25 dollars a month versus a 10 dollar basic membership. My dad lived in South Florida and my upgraded membership meant that I could go to any Planet Fitness. The 10 dollar membership means you can only go to your home gym.

After my dad died I didn't really have the same need to go down there as often, and so I downgraded my membership to the basic level and made the nearest gym my home club.

In the 6 or 7 months since, the gym that I selected as my home club has fallen into an unacceptable level of neglect. I've learned this week that there is no actual manager at that club and that is has been run by some sort of corporate entity for a while. The one or two employees over that seem to care at least a little are being dragged down by

When I went in to cancel my membership I gave myself 2 guidelines: Don't be confrontational and don't volunteer any information. Only tell them why I was leaving if they asked. They didn't. A young woman who needed assistance tried to void me out. The "acting manager" berated her in front of other employees and customers, and took an aggressive posture with me. Good riddance.

My situation was passed on to Monica, the manager at another Tallahassee Planet Fitness. She was nice enough initially. It was during my first conversation with her when she let it slip that even though my membership had been downgraded months before, and the app on my phone reflected my basic 10 dollar a month membership, they had been drafting my bank account for the upgraded membership the whole time. Now, I should have caught that, but I didn't. Nevertheless I did some math and figured Planet Fitness had overcharged me roughly 100 dollars. Monica showered me with excuses but assured me that they would return the money they had taken from me.

I was reassured enough by Monica of Planet Fitness that I agreed to give her some time to get my money back to me. I called her a few days later. Not only did they not return my money, but I discovered, while I was on the phone, that they had drafted my account twice more that day! That I didn't get arrested that day is starting to sound like quite an accomplishment, isn't it.

But this is what Planet Fitness does. I'm lucky that as an honorably discharged veteran ( I don't drink, so the opportunity to play the "veteran" card is appreciated), and my bank is exclusive to veterans, and they do a good job protecting us. As I was speaking to a representative from my bank to dispute multiple charges and get a stop payment on Planet Fitness, he recounted his own Planet Fitness frustrations.

So I have a good bank. Two weeks later Planet Fitness has not returned my money, even after promising the cop that they would. I'll get my money eventually, and I will share this story as often as I can, wherever I can. And rest assured I only gave you the two most egregious examples of how bad that place is. There are plenty of others.

I'm aware of libel laws, and trust me that everything I said here is honest and unembellished, and documented. Hell, the picture of the bank statement isn't even mine. I just found it online and posted it as evidence that Planet Fitness is a dishonest company.

I had already joined a new gym by the time I canceled my Planet Fitness membership. I joined YouFit, which I think is a chain. 100 percent a better experience, and they gave me a Veteran's discount. Five dollars a month. Planet Fitness seemingly hates veterans, and everybody else.
