I appreciate the level of seriousness they have toward the cleanliness of the facility. It is by far the cleanest gym I have ever belonged to and I have been a regular gym goer since the early 90s.

I am loving the upgrades with more free weights. I am still very happy with the cleanliness and I especially love the black card spa with the massage chairs. Staff is very pleasant and kind. I love this place!

It's always clean and staff is friendly. A little uncomfortable leaving my belongings and changing in restroom when the homeless take showers and stay in restroom for a hour or more. Overall that's only happened 3 times since February 2025.

A classic example of the laziness of today's youth period they closed at 8:30. I am an ocean truck driver and a black card member.So i've really look forward to being able to get my workouts and take a clean shower period as uswell when there is no one Supervising them they will close everything early. The company.
Is quick to take my money but allow places to close whenever they want to. Make it sense

I am using Planet Fitness South for the time being as my club is closed for renovation. This location is always clean, and it has a wide variety of machines, but the place is a little bit congested. however, I enjoy my workout here. The staff is very friendly. In the past, I used Crunch Fitness; both fitness chains have almost the same charges. However, Planet Fitness lacks a few things, like a Sauna and a membership shirt.

Love the Paul Russell gym morning staff and this location is always clean. I go in the mornings at 5am and some days it’s just hard but walking in being greeted with a smile from Devonte and Chris gives that extra encouragement to continue your health journey … If they are cleaning when I walk in they make it their busy to stop just to give you that warm greeting; very personable to take the time to learn their clients name. On Monday mornings when they are not scheduled the morning staff either don’t greet you or they are not there at the start of their shift to open the gym on Monday mornings when the gym is closed (Not a 24hr location on the weekends). Not only is it hard to stay consistent but some Mondays mornings getting out of the bed only to discover that the gym is not open throws you off. Other than that I would everything is everything.

I go to this location Daily.

This location is always clean, stock, and ready to be used by members. There is always someone to greet me when I check in.

Tay and Chris has been working there since I signed up so it's nice to see consistency in staff. They both always been approachable, accessible, and very helpful from the moment I signed up.

Hands down, the South Side location is the best location in Tallahassee.

Planet Fitness South is my club. It has been an absolute blessing in my life. The gym is convenient located and I'm able to get in a workout before work. The staff is great! Chris and Devontae have helped me tremendously. They have helped me learn how to use the equipment and they make sure that the gym is clean. Really disappointed today by the lack of care and professionalism of the female staff here. I usually see staff standing behind the front counter checking us in and greeting guests as we enter. But today was a different vibe. The female employee was just relaxing at the front table chatting away on her phone. I figured she was on break and I didn't want to interrupt her call to ask a questions, so I just did my workout. Then as I was leaving, I noticed the same female employee still spread out across the front table on her phone, not at the front desk speaking to any guests coming in or going out. Just a whole different vibe.

I cannot believe I have to write this one… there was zero reason for the female employee with caterpillar eyelashes to knock on the door while I was changing. So hard that it almost opened despite being locked. I have recording if you need proof, not posting that here.

Every time I have seen an employee in the locker room in the past they have announced their presence. This girl creeped up and slammed on the door… and said “oh sorry, I was closing the door next to you.” Why does a PF employee need to do this exactly? Back off.

She was also really excited to greet the older gentleman who walked in the door right before me… literally escorted him inside. Interesting operation here, folks.

Planet Fitness @its Best. Staff was so visible they were invisible. I could tell the satisfaction was high with the constant and timely member rotation or traffic. Location is everything it's just as well the (local) universe did the rest. Being myself, I will not hold any other (planets) or competition (asteroids) to the bar. Friendly folks, open 24 hours (despite the incorrect hours on the door), but women's locker room consistently has issues in the early morning. Not sure how it is at other times of day, but I've been 3 times in the 6am hour and there are numerous issues. There must not be any female staff overnight or in the early morning to check. I haven't seen any female employees in the mornings I've been. Filthy and/or broken showers, trash on floor, and what seems to be mold growing on shower curtain. Please hire more staff and pay them well!!

As a high school teacher, I am deeply disappointed in the change in hours of operation. I depend on morning workouts to get my day started. Unfortunately, with these changes to the hours, I don't have time to work out, get ready for work, and get to work by 6:45 with the gym now opening at 5 AM instead of allowing for flexible workout times. I will be looking for a new gym home.

Its a nice gym for what its costs. This location is particularly nice because its not consistently jam packed. The new mirrors added are nice too.
The change of hours is pretty frustrating closing so early fri-sun. I didn’t know and had to leave 20 min into my workout today. Then to let everyone know they turned off all the lights for like 20 seconds. That is not safe if someone is mid lift.

It's a woke corporate gym. It's cheap and if you travel you are likely to find one nearby. Unfortunately there's only one or two of any critical piece of equipment. But if you want a place to stretch or do cardio and haven't figured out you don't need a gym for either, you are set. There's literally dozens of unused cardio machines 24/7. It exists not because it's great or even good but because the competition is so poor.

My first time going to this location , wanted to check it out. As I was walking to the desk to check in a guy with dreads, suddenly turned his back to me and pretended to be doing something, lol very weird reaction. No hello, or attempt to scan me in. I’ve been here twice, and I like the distribution of the equipment and the layout of the floorplan - deeper than it is wide.

The music is not too loud so I can use my headphones, but I didn’t this time because it was non-offensive light pop. Sometimes I just don’t feel like worrying about my playlist so I can focus on my work out.

I didn’t use the showers this time but last time I remember them being clean and they smell OK .

This gym is clean, staff is nice, parking not an issue. Clean locker rooms. No free weight benching or squatting. Only free weights are dumbbells. Basically it's a gym for either those trying to stay in shape, get in shape, or those doing physical therapy trying to get back healthy. It's a gym without any judgement or pressure from the natural competitive/encouraging environment of a cross fit or a body building gym. Monthly is also good price.

I love tracking my journey on the app, I just wish it had more exercises listed to select from (I.e. weightlifting: add body parts you can select) because my leg day is going to burn more calories than my chest/triceps day. Love the massage chairs and hydro chairs!
