Overall, it's fine. There are some machines that haven't been working for over a week, but the worst part is that I went on Monday, Tuesday, and today, and it seems like the administrative staff has the air conditioning off or set to over 21 degrees. It's disgusting. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the hot, smelly air because everyone is obviously sweating.
I suggest the administrative staff wear jackets to resist the cold or find another job.

This planet fitness is the newest in the area so all the equipment is very nice. It’s never super busy. The staff is friendly and helpful. Where the business is falling short, is the hours of operation. Planet fitness has always been marketed as a 24 hour gym and since I have joined the hours have been greatly reduced. A lot of people use their membership not only for the gym but for its other facilities and have schedules that cannot coordinate throughout the week. I think that should be reconsidered, as I am looking at options to join another gym that offers 24 hours service especially with everything I pay monthly.

I love the staff and overall organization at the gym so that is Wesley Chapel specific… However, I feel that planet fitness in general has entirely way too many cardio machines that are left empty at every location I’ve ever been at which is a waste of space when there could be more room for a growing Interest in weightlifting. I know that it’s supposed to be mainly directed towards women and beginning gym enthusiast but there is a much higher interest in weightlifting for even women now.. all of us women who weight lift hate just as bad as the men to see a bunch of open cardio equipment while we stand there and wait for Free weights, smith machines and cables. Just my opinion and observation with an increasing level of frustration at times. I’m a busy person and wanna get in and out. I am an avid lifter and think it is a little sexist to assume that everyone wants to use a treadmill. I also think that there should be a much larger area without equipment designated to an an area for stretching and mats. Fleming island even has mirrors in there. Hope this helps!

The last two times I've been, the service hasn't been good. It's like, eat, get up, and go. Unlike other buffets where you serve yourself, here they provide a service that brings it to your table, and the food doesn't feel as fresh. It's like it's already prepared in quantity and refrigerated. It's changed a lot.

Staff is very friendly. Nice gym. BUT, the music is obnoxiously way too loud.. Ironic that a gym branded against GRUNTS, plays LOUD GRUNTY MUSIC on some days! Everyone is wearing headphones!!!! Why the loud music?? Annoying. Also dangerous because members then have to play their headphones dangerously loud to compensate.

Love Planet Fitness. Been going to the Wesley Chapel Location since day one. That being said I wish they would monitor the students they give free access to during the summer. By monitoring, I mean enforce no cell phone use during workouts. They sit on machines and play on their phones. I waited for ten minutes today to get on a machine and finally gave up. Between selfies and text or posting or whatever. I never saw them do one rep.

Most of the time I don't have an issue. But today the woman at the desk told me I can not enter the building with open to shoes...slides. I always do. I don't work out in them I just have them on when I come in,and change when I am working out. Is this a new rule or have others been told they can't come thru the door with slides on? Just trying to see something.

Great facility and staff !

The staff is very pleasant and welcoming. The gym is huge and well-equipped with many new machines; there is plenty of equipment so availability is rarely an issue, if at all. The locker rooms are very clean and appear to be well-maintained.

We just moved from Boston and have made this our new Home Club :-)

Definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great workout experience !!!

I’ve been really living a nightmare for months. I come here to shower. I do food delivery, I live in my car/tent, with the remaining cats we have. The rest of our cats were bullied and stolen from us last week and that’s not even the nightmare we all live through. I come here today to take a shower open the app. It tells me my payment didn’t go through I didn’t realize. I don’t have the money right now but awesome I can still shower. The app says I can check in one more time, but after that, I need to pay if I want to use the facilities. Cool I click check in. It gives me the check-in button sweet I can still take a shower and go work and then get my membership and cool as soon as you check in they stop you and say you owe money.. That was really dirty. It might not seem like a big deal to most but I am so upset right now. I have an hard enough time taking a shower as it is. I’ve been traumatized like nonstop for months and this just adds to it. Can’t believe you tell people they can check in just to go in and be told you can’t check in you have to pay. I obviously will never be coming back to planet fitness I will go pay an absorbent amount of money to take a shower elsewhere right now! Not that you corporate people care, but this was really really really messed up for me today! And trick me, you should be ashamed doing that to people. I am surprised you’re still getting away with it. I had no idea that’s how it worked. I wouldn’t have gone there. That is not what I needed right now

10 year member went in today asked about a weird charge. They cancelled my membership without even thinking about it. Reached out to the manager got crickets. Reached out to their corporate also crickets. Do not join this gym they do not care about you or your membership. Most unfriendly staff I have ever encountered in a gym. First let me say I travel for a job. I joined planet fitness because of this.
If this is your home gym, choose another option. Machines that are not working that are not tagged out correctly. Half the showers in the men’s locker room don’t work. A young staff that only stands at the front desk and doesn’t walk around as I have seen at other locations. This is be far the dirtiest planet fitness’s I have been to. I am stuck at the location for another 2 weeks. Again if this would be your home gym, choose another local option!!!!

I rarely bother with reviews, but this situation demands attention. Let me start by addressing the incompetence at Owen’s Wesley Chapel Planet Fitness. The General Manager there is beyond arrogant and urgently needs to be dismissed. The morning staff is no better. I've been a patron since the gym's inception, and it was a fantastic place initially - impeccably clean, friendly staff, and a great environment to work out. However, over the years, with the departure of the GM, everything has gone downhill. The company, in general, has deteriorated, but that's a whole different tale. Effective management is crucial for the growth of a business and to ensure that customers feel valued. People often join gyms based on recommendations from family or friends. I used to recommend Planet Fitness Wesley Chapel, but now I vehemently oppose it. Unless there are significant changes in management, I will never set foot in that place again. I will actively discourage others from going there, especially with the lazy and conceited employees and the abysmal state of cleanliness. The machines are consistently out of order. I suggest visiting Crunch in Wesley Chapel, LA Fitness in Wesley Chapel, or Eos Fitness in Land O Lakes. These gyms are in close proximity to each other, and you will undoubtedly encounter superior staff and management who prioritize creating a welcoming environment for everyone. Without a doubt, Planet Fitness in Wesley Chapel is the last place you'd want to be!

To this point, I have been going consistently for 9 months. Spacious so you don't feel on top of other gym members. A fair amount of equipment compared to other gyms. Typically, it is more crowded during the week, especially between 5-7pm, but not crowded to the point that you are waiting to use equipment. The place is kept clean. Love the hydro massage beds!

This is the 2nd review I’ve written for this Planet Fitness in the Wesley Grove plaza in Wesley Chapel. This place REMAINS one of my favorite places to go to. Besides the massage chairs and hydro-massage lounge chairs which I love…. the staff is AMAZING !!

First of all, Caleb who has newly been promoted to position of general manager is SO diligent, hard working, friendly and overall GREAT !! I believe almost ALL the staff members know me by first name and generally my enjoyment for the massage equipment. Kudos to all of them: Jennifer, Taylor, Jahiri, Denaiya (?), Ja Rae, Jasmine, Caleb, Curt and the other gentleman whose name I don't know or recall…. fills in for Caleb as manager. I think his name is Ed ? Hope I didn’t leave anyone out ?

Everyone… and I mean EVERYONE works so hard to keep the facility immaculately clean and in great repair !! If something does seem “amiss”, (ie. out of toilet tissue) I let them know as soon as possible. Thank you everyone for making this PF enjoyable.

Planet Fitness at the Grove the best and is never busy. I work out at 5am and have every machine available when I need it. Plenty of equipment for every body part and the staff and members are awesome. Most importantly it’s the cleanest, most organized, and best smelling gym I’ve ever worked out in - and I’ve been working out my entire adult life. Never any dust on the equipment or rips in the material, and the weights are always racked correctly. I’ve spent valuable time searching for weights at other gyms and that is sooo frustrating to me. PFs bathrooms smell nice and are showers and counter tops are crystal clean. Love their hydro massage and massage chairs. I’ve been to EoS and both Crunch Fitness (54/Collier and 54/I-75) and have had to wait on equipment, search for weights, cut my workout short and change my whole workout plan that day because so many people are on and waiting for equipment. Planet Fitness doesn’t have group fitness classes if that’s important to you. Hands down the best gym experience in the area.

For less than $1 a day, you can have the ultimate gym experience! They have an unbelievable selection of state-of-the-art equipment to choose from, and so much of it, it rarely looks busy. The staff is excellent and the Black Card benefits are awesome. It’s worth the ~82¢ each day to use the hydromassage chair or any of the spa amenities!

I enjoy working out at Planet Fitness especially this location. I'm so thankful that when I go in, it's not too crowded and that the environment is calm and not intimidating. I am an early bird and I enjoy my early bird crew. Everyone is so nice. I have submitted surveys to the gym and they respond promptly and urgently adjust based on feedback which means a lot to us as Consumers. I tried Crunch as a comparison and although they have different equipment options, it was so packed and crowded that it gave me anxiety, so I came right back to Planet Fitness.

Decent amount of equipment, decent hours, most of the staff are cool, and the place is above average on cleanliness for a PF. Overall pretty good PF . Can get busy at times.

As someone who is homeless has been to numerous PF’s as I rely on them for showering (I also workout every time), this was the only place out of many PF’s to tell me I’ve “reached my limit” for monthly visits. I have a black card and for select gyms, you can only go 10 times per month before a franchise fee. Never been an issue out of many other locations where be visited more than 10 times per month (probably 10-15). I also came to this location more than 10 times per month last month and they didn’t say anything (I think the guy who said something was new). So that really put a bad taste in my mouth. Especially since one of the guys said “it’s because we aren’t getting your money”. I do not want to change home clubs because I will not be here much longer. Beware for those who may be in a similar situation ; work travel, vacation, etc.
