I’ve been coming to this Planet Fitness for a while and one of the main reasons I chose this location was how clean it used to be. Lately, though, I’ve noticed a drop in cleanliness — on multiple visits I’ve seen roaches in the workout area . I usually come later in the evening and occasionally in the mornings, it’s rare that I see staff cleaning during those hours. For members who are paying $15/month, a clean and sanitary gym should be the minimum expectation. I really hope management addresses this with more consistent cleaning and pest control, because I’d like to continue coming here.

Recently, I had what I considered to be a racially motivated incident with one of the staff members at this location. It was escalated to the location manager who clearly lacked the experience and sensitivity to handle conflict. When he called to ask me to explain what happened, there was none of the expected customer service responses like " I'm sorry that you experienced that at our location, and I understand your frustration". Instead, he accused me of being wrong about what I experienced and then thanked me for my time. The phone call was brief, and in my estimation, just a check on the box for him so that he could say the incident was investigated.

This location really changed my opinion on PF from overwhelmingly negative to positive. Equipment is clean and well maintained, staff is attentive to any issue I bring to their attention, and it’s easy to make membership modifications. Their wiping stations are always very well stocked. My only complaint (and why I left) is the lack of squat racks, but that’s all PF locations, not specific to this one.

I have been coming as a guest with my partner for a couple weeks. This gym has a wide variety of equipment and is very clean. What is keeping me from getting my own membership is the fact the staff doesn’t really seem to care to monitor any of the rules they claim to have or doing anything besides standing behind the desk. I like to use the circuit for a quick yet effective workout. Despite a sign in front of it and it being clearly labeled, people still come in there to use the machines and workout independently. This is very frustrating as someone trying to use the circuit, it really throws me off, I have to try to skip around, and sometimes am unable to complete it, or my heart rate goes down when I inevitably end up having to wait on these people. After a few times of this, I reported my issue to someone behind the front desk as the sign in front of the circuit area says “area continuously monitored by staff” which it is clearly not. I was told by the employee I should “just come get them if it happens again” that defeats both purposes as I would still have to stop my workout and might as well just say something to the other people myself. I don’t want to have to start a confrontation and feel I shouldn’t really have to just to work out. I really wish the staff would step up more to enforce the rules and make it a comfortable environment

Love the place especially the Winter Springs location ! They’ve got a ton of variety for the equipment . Love the hydro beds , chairs and beauty booth that vibrates is a bonus . Its layout or its workout equipment just didn't work for me. I'm a 6'1" man and all of the treadmills were for short people. I hoped I saw the muscle groups targeted but it was not what I expected. Their ceiling fans and the air conditioning was too far away for me which only caused me fatigue. Wifi weak couldn't handle streams. I liked the key card sign-in versus using the planet fitness app. After 2 months I paid over $80. Also not a fan of their timed workout machines

I joined a few weeks ago and at first it was great. Now when I come in to use the spa items the front desk controls the delay and does not tell me about what they put in so I can't turn the equipment on myself and was told me that was never an option and has never happened (did not say I was a liar but alluded to it over using start buttons, was told they only work on tanning equipment and that is because it is based on regulation, and no others work). So I get up after a while to ask why it won't run and they turn it and it runs for a while when I get back it's been running, or it turns on when I am getting undressed and just runs until I'm ready to get in and start. Yes this was a couple employees and it's making me question this gym.

I have been a Planet Fitness Black card member for 18 months now. This location is my home base and I try to use it 3 x per week. I highly recommend PF and this location. Specific call out to Jordan, Jocelyn, Jean, Hope and Jonah. Jean is the manager and very responsive. Jonah is the new trainer and we’ve worked together really well for a few weeks now. He designed a custom program for me, and until the word gets out that using the Personal Trainer does not cost extra, I have been able to schedule nearly 1:1 sessions. Jordan, Jocelyn and Hope have been really great front desk folks and make every visit very comfortable, including hydro massages and chair massages. Most importantly, the facility is always clean and the equipment always works! Thanks, Planet Fitness!

The gym is clean, equipment is high quality, location is super convenient to where I live, great parking (even has a parking rack for bicycles which I sometimes ride to the gym), and noise/music level is good (not excessive). Gym never seems to crowded either, so good access to the equipment you want to use.

Only potential negative is that at the time, I'm not sure if they have fitness instructors (for like group exercise classes), but they might be working on hiring from what I heard from one employee anyway. But I'm not sure if group Fitness like at other gyms is Planet Fitness's thing. So maybe mostly a good gym if you want to come do your own thing mainly. There are employees who can help you find your way around the gym or answer questions about the equipment though, and there are a lot of good self-guided areas with instructions (the 30-minute workout room is actually pretty neat if you want something to tell you how to do exercises in a particular order / time limit) + there is equipment specifically to help with like strength, cardio, stretching, abs, or most anything you might want to do. Not the biggest gym in the area so equipment might seem a bit more limited but I think what it does have is great quality and I rarely have anything I wish they had cause it's already a great selection. If this is a convenient location for you, probably good to just get a free trial day pass and see what you think. Everyone's needs/wants are different in a gym but I think this is a really good spot overall. And the staff are friendly and do a good job about answering questions and weren't pressuring me to sign up or anything either.

Winter springs facility- I recently moved out of town and this facility no longer meets my needs…when i called to inquire about a charge on my account and freezing vs cancelling . This centers manager was rude , spoke over me without listening to my concerns (assuming ) and lacks professionalism. They make it difficult for customers to cancel their membership . They didn’t answer their phones when I called back about another charge , it goes to voicemail and voicemail is full. At one point it seemed as if they picked up then hung up. When they do answer ….Its very frustrating when you speak to 2 people including the manager and the answer is “we cant help you” . They instruct me to call customer service or corporate for concerns , but they refuse to give me the number and tell me to google it! When I call via google they’re closed on Fridays …. Wow .
Ive been a member for a year and never had any dissatisfaction with gym or staff “manager “ until today.

Came here with a day pass looking to switch gyms (currently at PF in Altamonte) And I gotta say this location is a night and day difference.
The staff was super helpful and willing to let me try out the gym for the day. All the equipment and machines are new, clean, and well kept. Locker rooms are very nice and modern and the space is very big. They have a lot of variations in machines and even different/better machines than my current location. Transferring a membership is super easy with no additional fees as well which is nice! The only thing I wish they had was a seated lateral raise machine but that is being picky with cons. Great place, great staff, keep it up!
