If you’re looking for an old-school gym experience powerhouse is the place. The gym is very dated. The equipment is old. Some of the treadmills don’t work correctly or at all. And some of the TVs don’t function properly. Actually, they don’t like Fox News at this gym. If you complain, they’ll put Fox News on a couple of TVs and within a few days they’re gone again must be a very liberal gym. They need to invest money into this place to bring it up-to-date. They need to invest at least 100,000 to get back to a fully functional gym. Some of the staff can be somewhat unfriendly and if you ask about things it’s as if you’re blaming them for the problem.

I cant say enough positive things about the Pickle Ball Program Mark Powers manages at the Powerhouse guy in Stuart, FL. PB is every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-9 pm, intermediate level. Great fun and exercise.

I truly enjoy the atmosphere. The people always greet me with a smile. There is a lot of energy when you first walk in the building 🏫. They have a track and gymnastics on the second floor but I have not went up there. The weight lifting area in massive with equipment that I'm able to use with my wheelchair. There is a lot of space to move around. I love this gym and the great staff and members. What a joy it is to be a member of this great establishment. I got to be honest I like Powerhouse over Crunch Fitness.

I work out of and in Powerhouse Gym here in Stuart I can safely say that they are pro-family, pro-community, and pro-business. They treat their members and their renters like family. They cater to all age groups and treat all their members with respect. Some gyms feel like night clubs but this gym feels like home. The staff is professional and makes sure members feel welcome to exercise no matter what shape they might be in. I see more members socialize with one another more than any gym I market to in the area. I run my practice out of Powerhouse and I have access to all the best fitness equipment a Physical Therapist could ask for. I especially like the variety of strength training equipment for legs. I have been to other gyms that have only one hamstring curl machine or one knee extension machine but they have duplicates not to mention variety. If you're looking for a gym that feels like home and are looking for a staff that treats you like family, look no further.

Been to a lot of gyms and so many of them are filled with influencers only interested in setting up their tripod to do very little and get in the way, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. The facilities are clean and all the equipment works, and for the price you can't find a better value in my opinion

Powerhouse Gym is hands down one of the best gyms I’ve been to! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming — they make you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The facility is always super clean, which is a big plus for me, and there’s plenty of equipment for any type of workout, whether you're lifting heavy, doing cardio, or anything in between. No matter what your fitness goals are, you’ll find what you need here. Highly recommend!

If you try to cancel they will play dumb and continue to charge you money. So if you like to have your money stolen and enjoying going through very obnoxious membership cancelation calls when you move away then be my guest to join up with this den of thieves.

I am no longer in the area and it has been a year since we first canceled this subscription and still we are getting BS over the phone to then get charged randomly again to then have to call and listen to another excuse like this recent one. "uh sorry, you have to submit your cancelation in writing" It is 2025, you electronically charge me, you can electronically stop.

As a female trying to get back in shape after a while of being sedentary, I’ve felt nothing but comfortable at this gym! I highly recommend this place because the staff is welcoming and the equipment is great.
I’ve been coming here for a well 5 months and the gym goers here are focused on their fitness journey and not like some judgmental clicks gyms ifykyk. Overall great place the shower rooms are awesome.
There’s even a women’s gym separate from the men and there’s absolutely nothing else you could ask for out a gym 🤗Love it, give it a try 🩷

If I could, I would give it a ZERO. I wouldn’t recommend this gym based on my experience. The women’s room doesn’t feel like a safe space, and the staff are unhelpful, often making excuses to avoid canceling memberships. The snacks are overpriced, and the daycare staff appear inattentive, spending more time on their phones than watching the children. Many pieces of equipment are either broken or constantly used by people filming themselves, making it hard to work out. The only redeeming feature is the Zumba classes, which are enjoyable, but they don’t outweigh the other issues. Overall, this gym feels poorly managed and chaotic. This is like walmart made their own gym.

I enjoy attending Powerhouse Gym as it has several fitness classes. I especially enjoy Pickleball as it has allowed me an opportunity to meet others with similar interest. Mark does a great job including everyone with different levels and skills feel welcome! His people skills and leadership style have kept many friends coming back for recreational and competive events! My friends and I enjoy the Tuesday Ladie's Night and Thursdays Coed Pickleball Games! Under his leadership many of my friends have learned to play the game as he coaches and makes everyone feel welcomed to play at Powerhouse! I have been playing Pickleball at Powerhouse for nine months and I have enjoyed the lessons coached professionally by Mark. His commitment level and enthusiasm for the sport is contagious! It is why I am inviting friends and neighbors to attend and enjoy a friendly atmosphere. I used to play college level softball and have seen dedication from coaches and know the hard work and commitment that is put I to practices and it's players. This is probably the most complete gym in the area, it's got something for everybody, young and old, the problem is is the staff that runs the joint is a bunch of women, which put loitering signs all over the gym at tables, which they don't want you to sit down and take a break after you've been working out, is this a gym or a daycare center 🤔

As the past General Manager of Powerhouse Gym of South Hackensack NJ, Mahwah NJ, & Saddle Brook NJ I visited Powerhouse in Stuart Fl. today and was greeted by Victoria. She gave me an awesome tour of the facility and introduced me to owner Roy. The warmth and hospitality was paramount of how things are done down south, the facility was immaculate and equipment for every age group. Was a member several years ago when it was Golds Gym- came back recently and NOTHING has changed! Still all the same equipment, in the same location etc. Even tho the machines may be older, they seem to hold up better than the newer stuff at LA Fitness. PH makes for a nice change of pace from my primary fitness center and there is a lot of equipment so even at peak times I never find myself waiting for anything. The locker rooms are clean and well maintained, which is always appreciated.

October 16th I went Power house gym to have the membership, pay a total of $159.98. They scheduled me to go to a PERSONAL TRAINING ASSESSMENT on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 4:00 PM With **. Since the membership includes my best friend , we both showed up for the training. The instructor Mark explained to us the use of some machines and elements by doing some exercises, but I became very ill, very dizzy, with my heart beating rapidly, I was on the verge of fainting, I immediately looked for a place to sit. I drank the water that I had brought, they gave me a chocolate bar with protein. Mark didn’t help me at all. He was on his phone texting someone laughing all giggly. I will never come back here, so glad I canceled my monthly gym membership

The equipment works Good, but the locker room. Basically is in disrepair.. Most of the.showers or broken. And the steam Bath and Sauna are Useless. It's hotter outside than it is in the sauna. And there is no steam . In the steam room.. I've been there for a month and never seen any steam in the steam room that's worth setting there.

We were long term members of first Golds Gym and then Powerhouse Gym. We even continued to pay during the pandemic despite barely going over a two year period. More recently there was an issue with our credit card. We fixed the issue supposedly but then they started calling telling us they needed our information again and saying that they were owed money. Since we hadn’t gone to the gym in several months we asked if they could waive the fee. They refused. We then decided to cancel our membership. Apparently they then screwed up and did not actually cancel our membership. I talked to someone at the gym and they said someone from management would call me back and I left my number. They never did but have now forwarded our account to a collection agency. So 15 years of loyal membership down the drain.

My son wanted to join the gym, and I was a little weary about this place because it wasn’t one of those “National Brand Name” clubs… BUT BOY WAS I WRONG! This place is PERFECT!! Not too many other teenagers or over-zealous body builders to distract him. Their Super Friendly and helpful staff made signing up quick and he is on his way to a more healthier happier him!

I love the fact that the plan we chose allows him to bring a friend with him so he always has a workout Buddy to hold him accountable! Love you Powerhouse!! 🤩

Love going to this gym and it’s never too ridiculously crowded. I personally recommend going in the early afternoons when not as many people are there. There is a good mix of young adults as well as seasoned attendees. The only thing I would say is an issue is that people do not put their weights in the correct place on the racks, and they do not return equipment where it belongs. I also do not notice many people wipe down their machines after use, but I personally always wipe them down before and after. Just a heads up!

Briana, Jannilet, Jenn, and Tara are fantastic. They are the Powerhouse instructors for Zumba. Never had so much fun losing weight. I have lost 22 pounds in two months.
Julianne is awesome instructor too for body pump. They are positive, upbeat, and all around fun to be a round while you are achieving your weight loss goals or even just trying to stay fit. I just started at Powerhouse 3 months ago and I am enthusiastic about trying the other classes They have to offer. Gym is big never have to wait for a machine. I found there sign up and monthly rates really reasonable and they offered so much for that rate.

Been going to the gym for about 2 years now can not ask for a better place to workout in the stuart area. Very knowledgeable staff and very approachable. Would give it 10 stars but only allowed to do 5.

Disappointed. After being a powerhouse member in another city for over 12 years, I moved here and looked forward to rejoining another powerhouse Gym. I had noticed a sign outside this Stuart Powerhouse location that read "10 bucks signs you up" but it was raining and I decided to come back. Came back a few days later, to join and sign was down. The guy I spoke with at the counter was nice and definitely dedicated to his fitness schedule. I asked about the promotion and he said it had just ended but under the circumstances that perhaps management would waive it. He went to get the manager and you could tell the manager didnt want to speak to me. He tried to brush the staff off so I motioned for him to come over. I asked about the promotion and he said it had ended 10 days ago and that it is a "hard date" and no exceptions would be made. I told him I had just seen a sign outside the other day and he said it stayed out longer than it should have. He went on to say if it was a day or two he may have accepted the promo fee but he was not willing to now. SO...they wanted 36.00 (enrollment fee) to join and then my first month of 39.00 per month for a guaranteed 3 months (contract) and after 3 months they charge an additional 41.00 for an annual fee that will continue every year for the length of my membership. He was quick to tell me the enrollment fee isnt very steep - but I guess it was steep enough that he wouldnt waive it. Here I was ready to join, cash in hand and he didnt care. THAT gave me an idea of the type of gym I was at. I walked out, went to the YMCA where they waived the enrollment fee and I pay 6.00 more and have a pool and a ton more classes. Plus no contract. I understand rules and exceptions but a bird in the hand has always been my way of conducting business. If its not the manager, then its poor policies from the franchise owner....

Gym looks great and fully equipped. However, I called in to ask about their passes since I just moved to the area and my regular gym is kind off far. So thought to try this one out before signing up. They offered me a 3 day pass without any mention that I will need any documentation, in fact I asked if we need any paperwork. I was told I only have to fill out a quick form.

Long story short, I pass by the gym to take their offer during a heavy storm. I rush into the gym introducing myself, drained in water from the rain. Luckily she remembered me. They needed my ID which I wasn’t told about, therefore didn’t have it on me. They didn’t care. Didn’t offer to start my workout and wait for the heavy rain to slow down or stop and then do the paperwork for a day pass!

Didn’t bother to understand nor explain to me. From where I see it, they have enough customers and could care less for signing up new members from their competitors.

Was honestly considering signing up with them and not use the whole pass due to my work schedule. But after this carelessness, I will drive 30 mins to my regular gym and call it a day! ; )
