Take these reviews with a grain of salt, because everyoneβs looking for something different. Iβve been to many gyms, and this gym is the best Iβve had in quite some time. Having a laid back facility with all the amenities is what does it for me. Iβve not been to a gym that had indoor basketball, indoor swimming, overall good equipment, hot tub, sauna, and a steam room all in one place! I may bring the average age down at 45, but I donβt mind. Lots of fun!

I'd like to focus on the kid fit. All the ladies are absolutely so wonderful and really care about your child. I will never trust another gym facility with my kids, I would rather drive 30 min to have my kids in a safe and trusted environment.

I joined the gym through Active and Fit, and it's okay. I have been to a few gyms, and I have been to a couple of gyms and this gym has very few amenities for cardio and weights. They have two leg presses that uses traditional weights, and one leg press machine in the entire building, the abs machine was broken, and I can tell the pools aren't properly maintained. They are going to be down for the next 4 weeks for resurfacing, and I can tell the pools haven't had work done on them in a very, very long time, and in-door pool surfaces shouldn't break down like this.
My swim club did a deep cleaning once a year and re-sealed it once a year over two weeks, and only had to be fully resurfaced after 15 years.
I also want to point out, that the swim instructors really don't know what they are doing, they are teaching the kids wrong, and are not focusing on form, so the kids that are learning to swim in the most inefficient way possible, which means for water safety, they would easily get exhausted. It took me less than 3 minutes to correct one girls form as her brother was getting lessons.
Additionally, they really do need to mark which lanes are for which, I had a person get in my lane when I was practicing which resulted in a near miss when I nearly wacked her in the head swimming butterfly.
That said, I think for the 75 dollars a month that they normally charge, they should hire a lifeguard, I don't think it's acceptable to have the pools unguarded, especially with the age of the crowd.

Large exercise facility. Lots of machines and free weights. Certain machines seem to always be busy. You can get access to them but you might have to wait a turn. There's a pool saunas jacuzzi pretty much everything you want. A large walking ring to make the lapse. Even have a little cafe where you can get snacks. The people working there seem to be friendly.

I just began exercising there. I was planning to just go swimming that day, but because my friend was doing exercise upstairs, I didn't notice that I wasn't wearing sneakers. Then a thin woman who worked there stopped me abruptly and loudly told me that I couldn't do exercise here without wearing sneakers. I was very embarrassed at the time because everyone was looking at me. I don't know if she would be embarrassed because she is a staff member. If the guest makes a mistake, she should speak softly instead of being rude and embarrassing.

First, the daycare at the gym is a 5/5 - the ladies are absolutely amazing and honestly the only reason we stick around to use this gym. Otherwise I really wish I could give this gym a better rating because the staff is so kind and we love the daycare but the hot water is constantly going out in the women's bathroom, the showers are pretty gross, sauna is dirty and there's constant maintenance issues that take forever to be fixed. The gym is really outdated and needs a re-vamp and new set up along with some updated equipment.

5 Years + KidCare!! A huge shout out to this organization who not only provides an amazing place to workout, whose staff is kind and helpful, but also to the women who run the KidCare Dept. are like family to us. They are patient, and kind and are the best caretakers. As a single mom I have to trust who watches my son, who also has special needs. With the extra time the childcare provides, to be able to work or workout - there is no other place I would rather go. Thank you for all you do!

I'd like to be able to rate this facility a 5 star like it was the first few years after opening, but there are to many areas which require updating. I'm sure the management is fully aware of them, so I'm not going to list all of them in this review. It's a very large building, and I'm sure it would cost a fortune to turn it around. I continue to be a member because of logistics, the excellent staff and the friendly members. I really think they're extremely lucky to have such great trainers. Especially Leah, whom teaches pilates. She gets our aging members motivated and moving with her squeaky voice and uplifting disposition! I've had many gyms memberships for 50 plus years and would recommend considering this one in your search for the right fit.

Been a member over a year. Hot water is finally getting better and Hot tub is finally fixed. .The sauna is out quite a bit as well. They refuse to add small incremental dumbbells despite the super low cost. (2.5 lb, 7.5 lb, 12.5 lb, 17.5 lb). Hard to get PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD without a decent set of dumbbells. No area to do any Olympic-style lifts (clean & jerk, deadlifts, etc.). No lifting platform. Cardio equipment is often broken. They have a beautiful functional fitness area downstairs, but it is reserved for trainers. I guess our expensive membership does not get you much. The only reason I stay at this gym is because Crunch is a bit farther. Dryers are out again so towels are an issue. Overall, the Manager of this gym and the CEO of Health First should seriously put some effort into this gym.

It has everything I need and much more. Just wish the hours were stretched little beyond 9 PM.
Update 11/15/2024
For the last two weeks I have been struggling to exercise here with freezing AC temperature set. Staff and half people are wearing sweaters. Front desk acknowledged the issue but there doesn't seem to have a plan to fix this citing necessity to maintain air circulation to some classes.
Guys please fix this or sadly I would be forced to switch to a different gym.

This gym used to be top drawer, sadly no more. The womenβs locker room smells like feces. The showers are covered in slime. The soap and lotion in the dispensers smell bad as well. The pool and hot tub remain closed. The steam room was out of commission for months. Itβs like they just donβt care anymore. I gave 2 stars because I believe with good leadership, this gym could be a valuable asset to our community.

There's a lot of equipment but one thing I realized being there for 8 months is as a new customer you're treater nicely by other staff in the beginning but it's wild how people pay 50$ a month and nobody but me got called out for slamming the weights, at this point it's better to have an at home gym because this is ridiculous, and the way that the lady tried to tell me wasn't nice at all, if it weren't for me and someone else with anger issues it wouldn't have worked out at all. I'm saying that this gym is hypocritical they say it's okay to do one thing but call you out for the things it's okay to do, sometimes normally within these 8 months they never had cared about anyone slamming weights until today which is weird because people pay more to get more benefits and those who pay for personal trainer can do whatever they want.

I have been a member for years at this gym. I love the different workout modularities that this gym offers (group fitness classes, yoga classes, cycle classes, pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, aqua classes, personal training, basketball court, racquetball court, etc). I would like to compliment the Director of this gym, John. John has been extraordinary in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of members. A situation arose last year between me and a former employee. John was proactive in his approach and took care of the situation quickly and efficiently. I am impressed with Johnβs leadership skills. John is in charge of the day-to-day operations at this gym and he has done an amazing job in running this place. π
I also would like to compliment personal trainer and group cycling instructor Mike Dean. Mike Dean was my personal trainer. And Mike went out of his way for me at every training session. Mike cared about my fitness goals and worked to ensure that they were met. I highly recommend Mike as a personal trainer at this gym. Mike is well-educated and uses his knowledge in exercise science to make sure his clients achieve their optimal fitness.
Lastly, I would like to compliment the βcurrently employedβ group fitness instructors. All of the group fitness instructors βcurrently workingβ at this gym are phenomenal. All of the group fitness instructors (both land and aqua classes) work extremely hard to make sure that all members feel βincludedβ in their classes. They are all respectful, kind, and knowledgeable in their industry. Five out of five stars βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

We have been going to Pro Health gym in Viera for about six months. We have had such positive experiences with the walking inside track, racquetball courts, and basketball courts, full schedule of classes, great workout machines. My husband and I try out different classes and have enjoyed the teachers so much. Our favorite staff so far has been Tabitha upstairs gym and Kathryn the Spin class leader. They are fun and positive which makes a difference in our health club experience. We need more people like them. Just a couple extra cool things: The club is sparkling clean, white towels for use while there, childcare onsite. Pro Health Gym is making a difference in our lives. - Mike and Jill Watts

So far, everything I've heard about this place is negative. Dirty or non-working showers, old off-label equipment, rude staff, off-limits sections for the super rich members with personal trainers and football celebrities with special privileges. Parking lot nightmare ongoing with little room to park without getting dinged up. . to get the full tour soon with a v.i.p. in tow and a snap inspector from corporate p.r. in the loop for a ghost inspection to clarify these issues. Health first is top of the line health care, and innovation is paramount. If what I've heard is true, this would be a first for me. More to come after these claims have been looked into. Talk again....Happy holidays

Editing my review because somehow it seems even worse here. At least 10 of the cardio machines are out of order right now and the treadmill Iβm on I can literally feel the belt dragging. The facility isnβt updated at all. The weights have significant wear and tear. The cardio machines are super packed, and it does not have a stair master. However, the real reason for the review is that they reduced the only full court basketball facility in the area to half court which was really disappointing. For the amount members are paying, it is not worth it. If you want a better place to workout for a cheaper cost, I would recommend the Suntree Anytime Fitness or the Crunch Fitness on Wickham.

this is not a gym, itβs a glorified rehab center.
80% cardio equipment & machines; free weights & real gym equipment severely lacking.
been a member here for a decade & have watched new management & staff run this place downhill. most of the staff is rude & spend their time socializing w/ each other instead of cleaning equipment & enforcing proper gym etiquette (re-racking weights, spotting ppl, etc).
classes are ok if u come 20 mins early to reserve ur spot.
as a female, iβm constantly on guard for inappropriate gestures & comments from (mostly older) men. have caught a man taking photos of me & have received numerous offensive remarks, even when i was underage. filed complaints about the worst offenders but no action was taken, despite other females doing the same.
for $100/month, & being the only gym in viera, my dad & i try to make the most of it but 1/2 the time we leave this βgymβ annoyed or frustrated at either the staff or other members.

Tried this for a month and it was enough to cancel before I stared. The pool was my main reason to join and it is packed in the morning or evening. They open and close so that if you are working, you wouldn't be able to work out. They quoted me $65 for a family membership via my employer, but when I got there they said $100 a month. I signed up, but cancelled within 2 weeks. The machines are dated. Folks that go there act like its a social hang out. The kid fit is always overbooked even though I paid to use it.
I cancelled in a month and don't regret it. I'm heading to either la fitness or any other pool I can find.

It is nice and I love the basketball courts but the cardio area machines face each other which I find awkward. The other gyms I go to are not set up to where you are staring someone in the face while you do your cardio training. Also, the main way to get to the small stretching area is to cut through the free weight area. This is difficult because as others have mentioned the free weight area is already too small. Other than that I love coming here and one of the employees was super helpful when I misplaced something!

Beware of the old lady in the woman's locker room on Thursdays. Better come with your goods out because us yonger Gen are intitled if we choose to be modest and not wear a bathing suit. I indead was not sweaty and did take a shower apon arrival to the gym because locker room showers are just gross no matter where you are. I will say that the problem was resolved because they have an amazing wonderful staff. Thank you.

I love this place. It's upscale and very clean. They have every piece of exercise equipment you can think of and plenty of machines so you never have to wait to use anything. Their gym classes are phenomenal and the instructors are fun, energetic, professional and really walk around to check your form and educate you on proper technique and give great motivation. I can't say enough good things about this place. They offer every class imaginable. They have a huge pool, locker rooms, sauna and the works. Great place to workout and low stress environment. I love it there!

The gym is gorgeous, and they offer a ton of activities at all hours of the day. The set up is new and refreshing and it pretty much has everything I imagine a person would be looking for in a gym.

Health First spared no expense to make this facility (in Viera, the address listed above is wrong) fit in with the luxurious nature of most of its neighbors. The facility is beautiful and still new enough to not show many signs of wear and tear though the bottom of the general purpose pool already needs resurfacing. On my doctor's advice/orders I use the pool for exercise. The Viera facility's general purpose pool is a nice bonus (the closer to my house Melbourne branch has just a lap pool) and makes my workout much more comfortable. Problems at the Viera facility seem to get fixed much faster than similar problems elsewhere. I've never had a problem with any of the staff being rude as another reviewer suggests. They've never treated me with anything but respect and I seriously do not fit the Viera image.

Came in to see the place. Guy says he'll get someone to show us around. After waiting for 20 minutes, i ask him how much longer it will be. He ignores us completely. We left. I guess they have enough customers and don't need anymore.

The wife and I like and enjoy this facility. It ranks up there with some of the best we've seen in different parts of the world.

Excellent gym, great location. They are kid friendly one the kids have been through orientation, as long as they are older than 12.

Absolutely no excuse for all showers to be inoperative in the men's locker room for +2 weeks. Whoever planned this renovation should be fired for lack of planning.

I will be quitting this gym as soon as I can. A recent policy change has the treadmills shutting off after 30 minutes regardless of anyone waiting. Steve Dietz's answer to my complaint was to simply restart the treadmill. I ask you readers: what does that accomplish except to interrupt my own workout? Absolutely nothing. I will not be giving my dollars to such cowardly and irresponsible policies. You should not, either.

The front desk staff were very rude to me when I came in today for a trial run before I committed to a membership. They were so rude that I walked out in the middle of filling out my papers and was crying. For people that want your business, they are extremely disrespectful. I will never go back.
