Played the White and Blue courses on August 13. The White greens are better than the Blue since it's still healing from the previous aerification; therefore, the Blue greens are bumpy. Both greens have their summer slow green speeds. The fairways are wide-opened and hilly with plenty of bunkers. It's a very good public link style course with generous green fees in the area. Recommended!

Reserved under two tee times we had 6 players in a 3 team scramble, our group was following all guidelines. We were told to have fun by a course ranger who met us on the first tee box and gave us no animosity towards us having a 6 person group. We were delayed at the first tee box by a group larger than ours. Eddie, the ranger, confronted us before the rain when we reached hole 7, saying police would be waiting after our 9 holes if we didn’t move faster. He claimed prior warnings we never got. Once he realized it was the wrong group, he still responded with more unnecessary remarks rather than an apology. The course is great but this was disappointing and ensures we won’t be back.

We showed up for a noon tee time. Ranger Eddie approached us before it started to rain, saying police would be called if we didn’t play faster, claiming prior warnings that never happened. After he realized it was a mistake and acknowledged it wasn’t our group that received the warnings, he continued to speak disrespectfully rather than resolve the issue. Lying and making threats to call law enforcement over slow pace of play is an unacceptable way to deal with paying patrons. Other employees were great and the course was nice, but this interaction ruined our experience.

We had a double reservation and moved at a reasonable pace. Eddie, the course ranger, approached us before rain began and said police would be waiting after 9 holes if we didn’t speed up, claiming prior warnings we never received. After he admitted it was a case of mistaken identity, he still continued to be confrontational. Other staff were kind, but this incident made it clear we won’t return.

Our group had a double reservation and was following all course rules without delaying play.
Before the rain, the course ranger Eddie approached us aggressively and said police would be waiting after our 9 holes if we didn’t speed up. He claimed prior warnings that never happened. After we decided to stop due to his hostility, I confronted him. He admitted it was the wrong group but still doubled down instead of apologizing. Other staff we encountered were friendly, but this behavior was unacceptable. I won’t be returning.

We were in compliance with all rules and not delaying anyone. Ranger Eddie came up before the rain and threatened that police would meet us after our 9 holes if we didn’t play faster, saying his boss had already warned us. This was not true. After we stopped playing and spoke with him, he admitted it was the wrong group but still dismissed our concerns. Poor handling of the situation and not the customer service I expect.

Absolutely stunning course with amazing conditions from tee to green one of the best kept public courses I’ve played in Florida. That said, our experience was soured on the back 9 by an older staff member (white beard, sunglasses) who was extremely rude for no reason. We weren’t playing slow, no group behind us, yet we were repeatedly rushed, given head nods, and even yelled at to hurry up between holes. It honestly ruined the mood of the round. Great track, but unfortunate attitude from that staff member took away from what should’ve been a top-tier experience.

Course was amazing and definitely one of the better courses I have played. The martial at the front 9 was a great and kind man. The back 9 martial was upset that we stopped to get drinks on the turn. He was an older gentleman with a white beard and had sunglasses and gave us attitude on the pace we were playing even though we weren’t holding anyone up we even let a twosome play through!

A Game-Changing Experience with Doug Holloway at Royale St. Cloud
After working with several golf pros and even trying an online service, I was still struggling to truly understand the fundamentals of the golf swing. That all changed when I started lessons with Doug Holloway at Royale St. Cloud Golf Links.
Doug has an incredible depth of knowledge about the game, but what truly sets him apart is his exceptional ability to teach. He broke the swing down into manageable, individual pieces, which helped me finally grasp the movement and start building a more consistent game. His approach is both patient and precise—he meets you where you are and guides you forward with clarity.
Royale St. Cloud is a fantastic place to learn golf, with a welcoming atmosphere and a strong focus on player development. Their youth and small group programs are also excellent, making it a great environment for golfers of all ages and skill levels.
I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to learn from Doug. His instruction has been a turning point in my golf journey, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their game.

Giving this course a 2 star rating.
Typically I don’t do reviews but this course I feel like I need to.
Let me start off by saying the course isn’t bad at all. Definitely pretty nice.
My gripe is this.
I called a day prior because I saw the tee sheet was wide open. The lady was super nice and said she would book us for 7:15am and doesn’t see us not being able to go out as a twosome so we booked it and were extremely excited. My Dad is fairly new to the game of golf so I try my hardest to find courses that can make the time easier for him instead of people breathing on him or pair ups with people who might be extremely good at the game.
We show up and boom, paired up with two others. Luckily though, they were extremely awesome young men. Unfortunately this doesn’t happen much in golf pair ups and you get some rude people half the time.
When we got to the starter he seemed like he wanted to just let us go out but the head pro was direct and to the point that he wasn’t allowing it. I don’t want to hear about speed of the game by doing foursomes, it does not speed the game up whatsoever. It’s a ploy to pack everybody in like sardines to make the most money.
My other gripe is this. While we were out as a foursome, we had a group of 5 in the front of us and back of us. Completely unacceptable and if pace of play is an issue for twosomes supposedly, imagine how long a fivesome would take.

Solid track, fair pricing. Little slow when we played but the wind was whipping! Definitely the cause for a slower round. Great course if you’re looking to golf in while in Orlando. Bit of a drive but worth it. Grain plays a big part in the pace of your putt so pay attention! Would definitely play again.

Start seemed unorganised.
6hr 30 pace of play on a Saturday.
Zero water in any of the rest stations.
Drinks cart only came around on the 7th hole and was out of everything, never seen again.
Range balls all over the first hole, so confusing to find yours.
Half our group left after 9 holes.
Conditions of the course were okay but poor for the area in general.
Trying to cram in too many people.

Very nice course and green are in fantastic shape. A bit slower than my usual courses I play, but in perfect shape. Links course, so layout may be challenging for most, but not much in the way of losing balls unless you really shank it. Staff is a bunch of kids with foul mouths each and every time I've been, just lounging around behind the counter. Wish they had some kind of adult management around. Facilities were clean and play can be slow sometimes, but enjoy the outdoors when it is.

What a great course. For $80 it’s very very hard to beat. Love the options you’re given especially around the greens and on approach shots. This is a no frills golf course which is certainly not a bad thing the whole place has a very relaxed feel to it. Greens putted very consistently and were in very good shape as was the rest of the course. Will certainly be back.

While the course is really fun, the greens smooth and fast, the fairways well kept, and the front desk very helpful, my rating reflects a problem trying to get a piece of equipment accidently left on the cart.
This does not reflect on how great the course. I feel all my efforts during the month is for naught and close to abandoning hope on ever seeing the range finder again.
I golfed a round on December 29th, 2024 and my Calloway 300 pro range finder was left on the cart steel frame. My name and phone number is marked on the range finder. The staff had found it when I called but I was on a plane back to California at the time.
After a few calls the next day, I wanted to have fedx pick it up, but the field staff said they would send it to me. After two weeks, I wanted the tracking number.
On January 18th from an email to the staff in charge I got a tracking number but UPS has not received the item. UPS till has not received the range finder to date. I have been badgering the poor desk staff and emailing the staff responsible and the GM with no response on where my rangefinder is. I realize it is only a $250 at the time of purchase it has become more of a matter of principle.
That is why the poor rating and my attempt to try and get action on the range finder whereabouts.
Edit: I finally received my lost range finder after 25 days. I changed my review from a 1 to 3 star. I never did have any communication (email or by phone) with the General Manager.

Played there for the first time today and what a hidden gem this course is. Got to play the BLUE/RED course and both were in great shape. Greens were amazing as well as the fairways and tee boxes. White sand in the the bunkers that aren’t waste land bunkers. A lot of sand and water but it’s just a beautiful layout and the scenery around it is just as phenomenal. Staff was super friendly from the pro shop to the starters to the beverage woman. Only knock is I wish the carts had GPS on them to help u navigate around the courses a little better but other than that no complaints. I drive 45 mins from Rockledge to play and I will be going back regularly!! Keep up the great work !!

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved it here! The course is an interesting blend of old-school, florida everglades, links-styled course, with a sprinkle of goofiness . I’m sure you saw the pictures of the telephone booth, stone bridge, cartoon Scottish mascot, and the golf ball dispenser. Interesting pieces of architecture built into the course as hazards. Conditions are great, which can be hard to come by considering how the florida heat notoriously destroy course conditions if not properly maintained by the groundskeepers. The staff is also extremely friendly.
And the merch in the proshop is also dope, we couldn’t help but to buy a polo!

What an awesome course! Played the white blue combo and everything was in spectacular shape, the greens ran fast and true. It had a true links style feel which was cool, especially considering its in Florida. Update: reduce by 1 star due to the fact the manager contacted me in regards to a review. Rather than take original review as constructive criticism and offering an apology. The manager was very defensive and question the entire post as a lie, informed me that gps is on the carts and nothing is true since they are always on the proper pace……but most 1 star reviews also mention the slow pace as well. Additionally the driving range is also in horrible condition as there are so many broken tees are over the place that have been piling up. As stated it’s a decent course but for the price it’s better to play a resort course which is a little more but it includes unlimited range ball and cold water stations
Beautiful course but it is ran poorly! Way too many people on the course at a time, so the pace is extremely slow. I started on blue where it took 1 hour just for 2 holes, went back and complained for a refund. Was offered to play on white instead, a little quicker speed but around almost 6 hours for 18 holes is insane. Seems like a lot of people love the course but won’t be returning due to slow pace.

Just had to drop a few lines about Royal St. Cloud after my girls played in a PGA tourney on Blue and White there. What a blast! The courses are super chill with a bunch of different layouts that keep things interesting. You've got these cool stone bridges and spots of sand that make you feel like you're on an journey, not just playing golf.
Also, gotta give a shoutout to this cool dude we met before the practice round. Guy had the nice Mickey Mouse watch straight outta Disney. He was a goldmine of tips, pointing out those sneaky little details on a few holes that you'd never notice but can totally make or break your game. Thanks to him, we had a few extra tricks up our sleeves.
If weather gettin bad, there's plenty of shelters to duck out of the rain. Plus they've got you covered with water stations everywhere
Totally worth it. If you're around Central Florida and looking for a good time on the links, this is your spot, simply go play!

Played here last minute today (Sunday Mothers Day), booked a solo tee-time and was lucky to be paired with two locals. I was met by a very nice cart attendant then proceeded to walk inside to the friendly pro-shop staff! I've been treated way worse ant courses 5x the price. They Explained how everything worked with the range, starter, etc. I play a lot of golf all over and this place was top notch, not only for the price, all around. Would recommend to any golfers who are in the area. Beautiful place, well kept, nice greens, and great staff. It is 90 minutes from me, but I will be back soon. Thank you for treating right !

Royal St. Cloud was recommended by several people in a Facebook golf group and it did not disappoint. The round cost about $50 and I played their Red/White courses. The Red course was moderately challenging and winds through old Florida lowlands and is very quiet and serene. The White course is a links style course and was a lot of fun, especially for high handicap players. Both courses were great and I look forward to returning so I can play the Blue course.

The tribute to Scotland is kind of tounge in cheek but this is a surprisingly good course for the price. The quality isn't really noticably worse than Grand Cypress links, just with 40% of the price and simpler amenities, which is great for the golfer's golfer. Blue played considerably more forgiving than Red.

These people that run this place are nuts. They had police waiting to search my little brothers golf bag because one of their drunk members lost their club and couldn’t find it on the course. Police then perform an illegal search on his bag, to find nothing because the club wasn’t seen or found by him and he stated the same when asked on the course during his round. Excellent links-style golf course in great condition at a very reasonable price. Four of us played our round yesterday in under 4 hours. The fairways and greens were in fine shape. I originally played this course over a year ago. I really enjoyed it back then. Then l played it yesterday because of all the glowing reviews from a local FB group. I made the hour’ish drive. The staff was fine. The carts are getting old, they’re gas and there’s no GPS. The GPS wouldn’t be that big a deal except there are only 150y stakes. I didn’t see any other yardage markers. And l don’t have GPS on my phone or a range finder. The driving range hitting area is still beat up, and the balls are old and even more beat up. The putting green was sufficient. Now the course… Tee boxes were fine, as were the fairways. The greens and the bunkers not so much. The bunkers had more footprints than a public beach and the greens had multiple unrepaired ball marks on each green. The holes in general were ok, but there was not one hole that made me go - wow. The course has a lot of unfulfilled potential. It’s actually a shame, because it could be incredible. Now l payed $46 (afternoon) + gas. Would l do it again. Probably not unless l was already in the area. If l didn’t have to drive an hour the price would probably be on point for the greater Orlando area. I wish l had taken more pictures…

Two different sides to this story. One is 5 stars. The other is 1. I'm not a math major but I think that equals a 3.
The course. Played white and blue 9s. Very very good. White takes a bit to get going, blue is outstanding. Lots of different shots and different looks. The dunes are wild and the condition all around was very very solid. Greens are fast. Fast fast. Playability, routing, view, challenge. It's all good. Would play again.
The rest. Pretty much a zero in the customer service department. Book in. Get handed a receipt. That's all. No istruction or direction where to get your cart, where the first tee is, Who's the starter. I ended up finding the starter, but this continued to be a challenge. It was a busy day and with 27 holes operating. Maybe this man needs more support or another co-worker with him. It was very hard and very challenging to get him to focus and to stay still in one spot and not walk away mid conversation.
After eventually getting a cart and getting some direction for who I'm with and when to tee off. The rest can be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it. Zero Marshals, zero pace of play enforcement. Took a 5-hour round. Which is actually okay if you're looking for a very very stress-free relaxed around. If you're looking for a standard 4-hour round of golf, this isn't the place for you.

Quite a nice golf course. We were there with a Special Olympics group and were able to work with them and have them practice for quite a while without feeling rushed at all. All areas of the course are very nice.

Nice course to play. There are tons of variations of how to play with multiple courses. We went white to blue. Course is well maintained and was pleasant to play. Cart service was cruising around the course we actually managed to see them twice per nine.

Course was well kept and the food was pretty good. I wasn't impressed with the staff right from go... I stood at the counter while the girl at the counter was on the phone with the chamber of commerce (that had an event planned apparently) trying to relay information from the girl sitting in the office and then we finally got checked in.
After hitting the range and the putting green, we headed to the first tee about 5 minutes prior to our tee time, where the starter let a local foursome cut in front of us and then proceeded to overly explain the course to us, in an effort to stall us.
After he was done going on and on, we pulled to the tee box to watch the foursome in front of us tee off and proceed to slow play for the next 18 holes.
On multiple occasions, the greens staff driving random carts and mowers, interrupted our play. On our last hole, 3 carts came flying by us and up our fairway, while we were on the box trying to tee. I play 80+ rounds per year and have never seen anything like it. Like I said, the course was in good shape, greens were fast and true and the food was pretty good but I was not impressed with the lack of courtesy shown by the staff.
****UPDATE****
Here we are 1 year later and no response for my review. At this point, I'd never go here again. Was bad enough that we had to deal with our original experience, but the fact that they didn't even bother to explain themselves, seals the deal for me.

This was the last course on a week long golf trip to Orlando and I'm so happy that we really saved the best for last. This was my 1st time playing here and although you can play better golf courses in the area, you can't find a better place to play for the $$. The course was in good shape, wide open, great layout and the greens were very fast. The restaurant also serves incredibly great food too. This course will definitely stay in the rotation for next year's golf trip

We had a foursome and played the red to white. Course. Course is great! What I had a problem with is the price. Our tee time was 1:15p the girl behind the counter $45.15. I showed her where it said $35. She said my card said I think it was $42 + tax. So I paid it. Like I said great course just check the fees!

Course was in OK shape. What you would expect for a great price of $50 for a round. What wasn't OK or great was being hurried by the course attendees. We had a foursome that was keeping a 4 hour pace and the amount of times we were asked to pick it up and being watched was ridiculous. We may not be scratch golfers but come on it is a $50 dollar course. I can tell you that as a company it would benefit you to lighten up a bit on your behavior towards paying customers that are interested in coming out to your course to play. Especially in the current situation our country is in. I do not recommend this course to anyone unless your are on the tour and are prepared to run through your round. At which point the shape of the grounds and level of difficulty are probably not appealing to you anyhow.
Update 4/15/2022:
Much better condition of course and treatment of players. Food was great also. They have definitely redeemed themselves and regained a customer. Keep up the great job Royal St. Cloud!

As a neighbor to this golf course, they're awful. They don't maintain their ditches and let their trees and shrubs grow crazy and over the fence that they put in. Then, they don't set their tee boxes away from our houses. We get bombed by the golfers on a regular basis. I have had to replace 3 windows, and my house has a crack along with broken gutters. They have done nothing to fix this after numerous requests. I've played here once, and it was an ok course. As much as they have cost me, I should be able to play free at any time.

1st & 2nd time playing this golf course, white & blue courses are the easier of the 3. The red course will test your accuracy & shot placement. Greens were in fantastic shape & the ball were rolling fast. Fairways, bunkers & waste areas in very good shape. Only thing I can pick on are the course restrooms & water buckets. Restrooms need to be in working order & cleaned, the water dispensers we're out of water. Thank goodness for the frequent passing of the refreshment cart. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to the Disney area, 👍

Really nice public course for a great low rate. The staff couldn't be friendlier. The conditions were terrific. I'd definitely make it a point to play here again next time visiting Orlando area.
Played again Jan 2019 and just like last year, still a great course that was well maintained. I challenge anyone to find a more friendly staff. Everyone is so pleasant and nice. For the hot deal price, the whole experience continues to please. Coming back down in April and will look to play it again! Played again early March and it's still one of my favorites in all the Orlando/ Kissimmee area. So friendly and relaxed off the course. The course is definitely challenging, but more than fair and in excellent condition.

Haven't played the course in about 12 years. Certain aspects of the course have definitely fallen apart over time. Teed off 20 minutes delayed for my afternoon time with my family behind 2 twosomes who evidently rejected the invitation to play together. Starter didn't really make an effort to improve pace on the front 9. Took until the 7th hole for any real efforts to be made to speed things up, and to his credit, the afternoon staff member did a good job of it. Course is in very good shape. Everything is running quick. Greens are a little beat up from a season of play.
Carts have been Frankensteined for an evidently long period of times. The carts we had were 8 years old and definitely showed it. No windshields, brakes, etc.
Lots of trash both in the carts and around the course. Definitely not a lot of attention paid to the important little things like that to help the overall appeal of things.
Overall, able to finish in 4 hours and 15 minutes. Not a bad pace for a seasonal afternoon. Would like to see an improvement in the overall keeping of the course. Would definitely improve my opinion on it.

The course is challenging and greens were quick. The Rangers are absolutely clueless. First hole is a par 5 and while waiting for green to clear, we were hit in to. Ranger asks us to pick up pace.Second hole short par 4 , same guy hits into us on the green. Ranger is joined by another in an attempt to intimidate us and asks us to speed up play. It was clear to all of us that the group in front of us was still hitting their tee shots. I think they volunteer and have no idea what the responsibility of the job entails. The suggested pace of play is 4:20, we were done in 4 hours. We will never go back because of these two characters but there is no shortage of play there. They wont miss us. If you have to get out and have no choice, its worth the trip and the price.

A beautiful gem. Beautifully designed and well-maintained throughout.
No issue with a pace of play even though it was a fully booked day.
It does have a fair amount of wildlife (which makes it even more enjoyable) and all the staff I have encountered were all professional and nice.
Only complain is that the carts are a bit outdated. (Its a gas cart)

There for the "Hangover Classic" New Year's Day Scramble.
Very nice layout (only saw the Blue & White 9s) very comparable to Falcon's Fire at probably lower price point.
Haven't heard great things about their "Regulars", especially with regard to their posted "Pace of Play Policy" but willing to give them a try in '22.

First visit to this course. We played the white and blue courses. Pros: Pace of play was good for a holiday, pricing was reasonable, beautiful course, interesting layout, and plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Cons: Tee boxes showed wear, not enough people repairing their ball marks on greens and the golf carts showed their age.
Great day and would definitely visit again!

I'm a senior but avid golfer. I went to watch my grandson in a H. S. match. They only play 9 holes and I made a remark to the cashier about the price for a spectator cart(for what they charge I could have actually played 18 holes for another $3) The guy who works there jumps in and was very rude. Basically telling me I can either walk or leave. Other than that the golf course is in fairly good shape the greens and tee boxes looked nice Too bad they have an assistant pro or whoever he is that is so rude to customers.

Twice now I've shown up with a tee time, made well in advance, to be told my time was pushed back because of a large group inserted into the tee sheet. Yesterday, our 10:15 tee time was pushed to 11. If we had known our tee time reservation was being postponed we wouldn't have arrived at 9:30. More than likely we would've gone somewhere else to play. The white/blue courses were not in good shape, what with the greens still healing from aerification, inconsistent bunker conditions (some hard caked, others soft, all without rakes), raggedy tee boxes and clippings all over the fairways. The golf carts are getting on in years, too. I've played here a few times over the years because the layouts are interesting and the green fees low compared to other courses. But considering it's a 50 minute drive from where I live, Royal St. Cloud is not worth the time and aggravation to return to.

The course was in fair condition after the aeration of the white and blue 9's the only issue that I had i was not expecting to be so hot that day it was 105 outside and they had no water out on the course and the cart girl told us that she would see us on the back nine and come to find out she left for the day so none of us had anything to drink and my partner left he got to over heated very sad

Loved golfing here! It's a typical links course, very well maintained, charming, and does have quite a bit of wildlife (which I enjoyed). There are 27 holes, so if they're working on 9 you can still play a full 18 without an issue. Would definitely recommend!

Played behind a 4-some who ended up 5 holes behind the group in front of them. We were a 6 who had to wait on every shot and the “pro” came out and said we had to play as 2 3-domes but never told the group in front of us to skip a hole. 5 hour round later. Awful customer service as the supposed “pro” at this course doesn’t understand how to keep the pace of play. Would love to hear his reasoning for this but I doubt we’ll hear anything from him about this.

The golf course was in great shape and the greens rolled very true. However, the customer service at this course did not suffice. When you get to the course there are tons of people waiting for the starter to tell them where to go and trying to figure out tee times. It was like herding cattle. Our cart died on the back 9 and we were told someone would come out to replace our cart...no one ever came. Awful customer service and even worse management. I have seen better management at McDonald’s. The stench in the bathroom was enough to make you run the other way. Again loved the golf course!
