If I could give this gym 1STAR I would. I have been a member since 2019, and I have never seen the gym in this condition. I expressed my concerns to the manger Kenneth multiple times, but instead of addressing the issues and trying to improve my gym experience, Kenneth tried to push the new "Black Friday special" for $399, which is NOT a special when in previous years were $299. I still have one more year on my contract and I will not renew my contract when it expires.

This gym has gone downhill drastically in the last year. What was once an upbeat and active location with a lot of class options is now run by what seems like a skeleton crew of staff, tvs not working, limited classes and trainers. They added a bunch of new machines earlier this year and then fired most of the employees. I’ve moved and tried to cancel my membership for four months, but the lady who handled that was part of the people who got let go, and I cannot find anyone capable of discontinuing my fee. Emails go into a black hole and the guys at the front desk are clueless. Typical runaround when trying to cancel a gym membership!

This is a nice solid gym. Large gym with every piece of equipment you could possibly want. Several flat benches, incline benches, squat racks, machines, treadmills, etc.

They gave me a two day pass for $25.

Yes not all the equipment is in pristine condition, it’s a gym, grow up.

It’s not in bad condition.

Large locker room with individual showers, lockers, etc.

Staff was friendly. Place wasn’t too busy.

Just got a collection notice even after canceling online twice since June 26th. I should have read all the bad reviews on having such a hard time cancelling your membership.

There is no communication back on the cancellation form and then you get a collections note. Terrible way to do business even after being a customer for a year.

This gym is a nightmare. I canceled my membership through their website on March 23, 2025, gave the 30 days’ notice, and even paid my last month on April 24th. I did everything they told me I needed to do in order to cancel my account and leave and good standing. They did not reach out—just sold my account to collections for a debt that DOES NOT exist. Now they’re trying to squeeze money out of a canceled membership. The gym refuses anyway to make it rigth. Completely dishonest and shady practices. Stay far away!

The gym looks bright and inviting from the outside, but once inside, it feels very outdated. Many of the machines have ripped seats, and the equipment overall could use some serious updates and maintenance. I wouldn’t feel comfortable paying a monthly membership fee given the current condition. It’s a disappointment because the location is so convenient—much closer than the 20-minute drive to Planet Fitness from my beach house. Hopefully, they invest in some upgrades soon, because the space itself has great potential.

I have been trying to cancel my membership since June 26th, which I was told I needed to go online for. I went online and filed to get my account cancelled, then emailed saying it was “finalized, and please wait for the manager to contact you” so I did.

It’s now been a month and a half and I’ve never received a single call OR email from Sequence regarding my membership, unless it included them receiving a payment ( Which I blocked them from processing my card, due to them holding my hostage and never reaching out to me and I have the finalization email). I have now reached out to them twice in person and twice over the phone and been told both times that the manager wasn’t available or was “busy” and couldn’t get to me about my concern; and I should try back another time. On top of that, they signed me up for a yearly contract on Dec. 16th 2024 after I had already told them I didn’t want that. They then said I would have to speak to the manager the next day and get it resolved because unfortunately they already processed it through. Which I then did, and the female manager at the time told me she got it fixed and I would only be charged month to month (due to me knowing I’d be moving in a couple of months) to then STILL being reached out to about me not making payments on my yearly contract.

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM, THEY WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY.

There is no one in charge. If you have a complaint, the young reps shrug. They received new equipment which earns them two stars. A huge problem is they let equipment stay broken for months. All TVs don't work. Their drinking fountain's filter has been red for months.

Terrible business. I had a gym membership here and cancelled it as I was instructed online by filling out there cancellation form back in February. Never heard from them after I filled out the form and got a call from a collections agency last week advising I owed money. Come to find out they never canceled my membership and continued to bill me but never told me. DO NOT USE THIS GYM

As a member of 1 year I wanted to share my poor experience last week and over the past year.

If you want the spark notes, 1) poor management, 2) poorly kept up facility 3) best part about the gym was the members and a few nice staff members (Kenneth notttt included)

Yesterday I had a situation arise regarding my membership in which required me to speak to the manager Kenneth. In an attempt to gain clarity with this situation I started a conversation with him. Kenneth was barely listening to my questions, he was short with me, very rude, very unprofessional, not emphatic or understanding and ultimately unhelpful. Regardless of the situation I was inquiring about (which I am not trying to dispute with this review), I was taken aback that I was spoken to this way. One of the worst customer service experiences I have had. A blessing in disguise that my contract ended and I 1000% will not be renewing. Wishing all the members and nice staff the best.

I have been a member of Sequence fitness for about 4 years. they recently got about 19 new pieces of equipment. New dumbbell sets going up to 100 lb each. you can get a great workout in there and for the women they have a great glute workout section. The reason I'm not giving them five stars. is that about half the TVs in the gym don't work, but overall I'm quite satisfied, especially with the new equipment.

Worst Gym Experience Ever!

I joined this gym for just two months, clearly stating from day one that I was moving out of the country. The manager sold me on a second membership package that promised free cancellation without a fine, despite being more expensive. I agreed, thinking I was making a smart choice.

I provided 30 days' notice for cancellation, but after countless calls, messages, and even in-person visits, they informed me I had to fill out an online form. I did that, and guess what? They still didn’t cancel my subscription!

Despite not being in the country anymore, they continued to charge me for several extra months. This gym’s customer service is a nightmare, and their practices are downright shady. Be very wary of this place,they will take your money and make cancellation a hassle. Avoid at all costs!

In Panama City Beach for 2 months. Manager set me up for a 2 month membership and a cancellation thereafter. She verbally stated nothing else would have to be done. Also received email confirming this membership cancellation and there would be no further charges. Despite this, when I returned home, I found a charge to my CC for another month. I complained and manager stated that is corporate policy. BS as I have verbal and email communication that the membership was cancelled. If not resolved, I will contact the BBB and local authorities about this fraud and hopefully responsible parties will receive their rewards. Do not deal with this organization or management! The owner is wrong with response. My cancellation was done at same time as enrollment. The CC charge should have never occurred!

Got a monthly pass at this gym while I was temporarily living here and loved it!! I had previously been working out at an apartment gym, so having access to all of these machines was AMAZING and really helped with muscle growth. Even during peak hours, there were always machines open. Some of the machines are broken and the locker rooms weren’t always the cleanest, but overall I really enjoyed my experience here!

I’ve been here for 2 years the staff was great. The new general manager is extremely condescending and disrespectful. Was talking to the other managers for maybe 3 minutes before I worked out behind the counter and started asking me if I worked there. Thinking she was joking then she just kept going and being disrespectful instead of just asking me not to be behind the counter. I would highly recommend not talking to her the rest of the staff is great and friendly. Yes I asked the day before if it was alright for me to keep putting my stuff there.

I signed up for a 12 month contract. May was the 12th month and payment was made on the 4th. I called after the payment was made and requested to cancel any further autopays as I was moving away and wouldn’t not be using the gym. I was told “Ethan”‘would get back to me. “Ethan” never called me. I called a few more times and left a message. On May 29th, I called again and was told to fill out a cancellation form on their webpage. I didn’t know about this form until that day. So when I hung up, I immediately completed the form and got an email back saying that I requested cancellation. I called May 30th and June 3rd trying to verify that payment would not be deducted as I had completed the year contract and the cancellation form. “Ethan” never called me back.
Needless to say, I was charged for June as well. I called yesterday and today and again requested a call back. About 30 minutes after that I called today, I got an email saying that my cancellation was completed. Yeah after you took out an extra payment that I didn’t agree too. So I’ve complained to the credit card company and I’ll let them handle it. What a crappy way to do business. I completed the 12 month agreement and they took an extra payment despite all my phone calls and completing their cancellation form…… wow… just wow…

Hate to give bad reviews but no one seems to care about this place. I’ve been a member since they opened. So much equipment is broken and never repaired. one of three leg extensions is working all the cardio is rusted or not working. Very disappointed. They wouldn’t cancel my brothers membership who was only there for three months while he was in town. i went in to get it cancelled after many attempts by him and the very arrogant and rude manager, i assume he was, finally took care of it after he was extremely rude and was more concerned about someone calling him skinny than anything. Need to sell it to someone who will take care of it.

Been coming to this gym for about 8 years since moving to PCB. Laurie, the yoga instructor, is absolutely phenomenal. The views are so great when you want to lift and not stare in a mirror. Has all the equipment you would need. I go at random times, it's never been too busy. Wellness was my gym when I moved In town. But they got swamped with high school kids and I just couldn't get past how crowded overall it became. So I drive past wellness to the beach again. Good pricing, always clean, good layout and beautiful views.

If you like a gym with mold damage in the AC vents spores in the air and for it to smell like a 2-week-old jock strap this is your place. I don't write bad reviews unless it is deemed necessary. This place will also say you still owe them money after you have canceled your membership and send you to collections three of us were going there and all three of us had canceled a contract in person and they sent all of us to collections. Horrible business practices and even worse health code violations they should really have someone from the city come in to do air quality tests as a matter of fact I think I'll set up an inspection for air quality since I have upper respiratory issues from going to that gym.

Multiple employees and gym members have used my personal information from my gym membership to follow me on social media. I have been going to this gym since July 2023. In the last two weeks alone, two employees have requested to follow me on multiple forms of social media which the only way they could have looked up my name is through my personal gym membership profile. I feel uncomfortable knowing my personal information is being used with unprofessional intentions and that it is also being given out to other gym members for the same intention.

There is not 1 functioning water fountain in the building. More than half of the stalls in the women's bathroom do not work and the ceiling leaks. I called three times to cancel my membership, and each time I was told a manager would reach back out. I waited over a week, and I still had to follow up again.

I am so disappointed with this facility.

I asked three different staff members and a manger to cancel my subscription. I was told repeatedly that it would be canceled, and to my surprise I was called repeatedly by debt collectors stating that I did not cancel my membership and I now owe over $1000. When I inquired about it at the gym I am told it’s out of our hands now! Do yourself a favor and find a better gym; with humans that can understand that dealing with a death in a family will cause you to cancel a gym membership.

I really wanted to like this place since it is 1 of very few gyms on the beach. First, their "1st 30 Days Free" is misleading... and honestly, it's dishonest. You actually have to sign up, pay an enrollment fee, then you aren't charged for another month. I'm fine with giving my credit card, but if I cancel in the 1st 30 days, let me go... run it for people with local addresses only because tourists will take advantage of it.

I tried to cancel within the first 30 days but I still had to pay the $99 cancellation fee (I get it, I was the dummy that agreed to it).

Unfortunately, there's no response or confirmation when you fill out the cancellation form online, so you're sort of left in the dark.

They also did not save my payment information when I signed up, so instead of cancelling my membership, they continued my membership for 3 more months, letting those monthy fees stack up without letting me know i have to pay the accrued balance before my membership could be cancelled (even though I cancelled before ANY of those additional months were added).

They apparently called me, but never left a voicemail (they confirmed no voicemail was ever left). I don't answer the phone if it's not a number I have saved due to so much SPAM calls these days.

All in all, the communication with this business is really poor and disorganized. They're equipment is old and outdated. And they're not very honest in their practices... it's more a sucker deal than it is customer centric.

I tried to reach out to the gym personally. I've left a message with no return call or the phone doesn't get picked up.

When you're transparent and honest, without trying to scammy offers, your customers will trust you and stick with you.

I really like this gym. It's HUGE, there's plenty of equipment where you rarely have to wait on anything, where the 'beautiful people' go to workout.

It appears this gym has been in business about ten years. I'm sure back when it started there was a great deal of excitement with all the new treadmills, machines, ellipticals, workout room/classes, cycling classes, everything they have. But over time, that (as tends to happen) level of detail gradually fades.

There's maybe 7-8 people who work there. I guess this isn't enough to get what they need to do done on any given day, so perhaps half the time you walk in, no one is at the front desk.

In ten years, any gym will face the reality that their machines and equipment will frequently need repairs or even replacing. That's where this gym stands now. Many of the machines have vinyl that's cut or torn and need to be recovered. There are currently two treadmills which are out of order and have sat broken for weeks, thankfully there are plenty of other ones. The ellipticals appear to be even older and should be replaced. Replacing machines is expensive, no question, but having old equipment is not the impression you want to see in a nice gym.

The place they completely fall short on is in cleanliness. Thankfully the bathrooms are cleaned quite well, daily. But the treadmills in particular haven't been dusted or cleaned up in a LONG time. The picture I attached here shows the bottom/front of one of those, complete with a thick coat of dust AND people's HAIR. This is the one in the back next to the door and next to the window where the blinds have been removed to fix a leak in the window (which hasn't been fixed in literally years and the blinds still aren't there). Go check and see. I guess the lessons of COVID are no longer in play.

I'm sure most of this could easily be resolved, if there was someone there who can hire a cleaning company on an on-going basis.

It’s a good sized gym with lots of machines and cardio equipment. I signed up for personal training training twice a week and kept this contract over a year.

During this time, it became known that I would be moving to TN and was waiting for my house to sell. This was well known among all the staff, including management, but I chose to keep my membership active until I had exact dates so I could continue my fitness goals. This was a mistake.

On May 4, my yearly membership expired and I spoke with Naelly about a month to month contract and canceling any future PT as I still had sessions to use. The intention was I could cancel my membership in 1 month.

On May 9, my father became very ill and I had to make an emergency trip to Michigan. He passed on May 11. While I was there, on May 13, I fell and sprained my ankle. I have been unable to exercise since that date. Since I was injured, I stayed out of town until early July. During this time, we were able to sell our home and will be moving at the end of the month.

I asked for a refund of dues and PT sessions I can’t use because of my injury and moving and have pretty much been ignored. So this is a great gym while you are going there and working out, but they don’t give a hoot about their members when they are working through major life changes like death, out of state moves and an injury that happens at the same time. They got their $, they don’t care.

Update: I deleted a star because one of the managers actually contacted me via text to see if I was contacted by the other manager and when I said no, he ghosted me. Not sure why he bothered.

Equipment is old and worn down. Half the benches wobble to the point that I worry they will come apart. Multiple cable machines have been broken for months and a lot of cardio equipment doesn’t work. You’re lucky if the front desk staff acknowledges you when you walk in, they are typically too involved in their own conversations. As someone that worked in gyms for 5 years this is a huge pet peeve of mine as it is the most basic level of customer service at a gym.

He walks around and talks to people that don’t want to talk to him. He thinks he’s cleaning the gym but he’s really making it worse. He’s the only thing I want to mention really. He sucks a lot and pushes hit politics on you. Did I mention he sucks?

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM! And definitely do not sign up without reading their extensive contract! Sequence gym is in the business of collecting "debt." I received a phone call from a collections agency falsifying their business, pretending like it was an emergency AT MY WORK which is completely illegal on the Collection Agency's part. This was ONE MONTH after my debit card expired and I received no communication from the gym. They sent it to collections and I was to pay over $500 to "reconcile the debt" for a $40 membership. I went into Sequence, no manager was there twice, I called their billing department and it went to voicemail. I called their main line and it went to a full voicemail where I couldn't leave a message. They know what they're doing. Their gym is staying a float because of "debt collections." Not because they care about their "family" gym. I just wanted a place to workout. I mean, seriously?

Nice team, decent equipment. Some items are in need of some repair, but that’s expected in gyms. My only reason for not making it 5 stars is that the opening hours on the weekend are later than most other gyms. Also, kind of wondering why it’s not 24/7, which is very common. Just wish for a 4-5 am open every day.

What stood out the most about this gym is the staff. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with nothing by smiles and positive energy. Nallely who I’d see the most is such a nice woman who truly cares about every person who walks in and walks out of the establishment! They offer series of classes. Personally, I love the Butts and Guts class that Ms. Grace who's a trainer at sequence and boy oh boy will she work ya real good!! I had a great experience at this gym! I was in Florida for 2 weeks for an event and I called Sequence Fitness to see if I could use their equipment and facilities while I was in town. They all were so friendly and helpful, all the equipment was clean, the people working out were friendly and respectful. 10/10 would return if I am ever back in town. Thanks guys!

I have been to many gyms, and coming from Texas I’m used to large gyms with multiple amenities… When I moved for PCB I looked around and Sequence was the closest to that, with multiple classes in the morning and evening. By far the cleanliness was what attracted me & had me sold. Also, it’s bigger than it looks and the staff is very personable. One thing I will say about the members which surprised me, is the gym etiquette, for the most part people Rerack and Clean their equipment after use. That was a change of scenery. Over all, it’s a friendly staffed gym, that is well maintained and Jose the Maitnance employee takes a lot of pride in the cleanliness of the gym, and that’s just awesome. The staff is full of quality individuals. You should come. 😊

After contacting management and the front desk with emails and phone calls several times and resubmitting my cancelation over a period over 5 months, they finally took action and stopped charging me. The manager was great after she made contact, but after she sent my requests for refunds up to corporate for improper charging nothing happened. Beware those that want to join this gym, it will take you multiple times of reaching out after you finish the contract and move to month to month to cancel and you might never see your money returned like me. Customer service is everything, and unfortunately I'm going to have to rate this a one star because of the amount of money lost on this place.

Love this gym but is it frustrating that on a Saturday that they close at 6. I understand sundays but closing at six on Saturday makes absolutely no sense. Also the new management is also not very friendly to everyone just there friends. They never are stocked in the protein they use to have. Bathrooms never have paper towels in the roles; they’re too lazy to put soap in the dispensers, the equipment is laid out terribly and way too close together, no leg raise machine, people seem angry nowadays to be there, bad vibes 😂. Overall it functions but shouldn’t be more than 10-15 a month; certainly not $30.
P.S 50% of the time the music is barley audible so if you exhale or make any noise it can be heard across the gym … then there’s a very good chance when it’s up it’ll be 70s rock or Elton John type music like we’re in a jackass movie

The gym equipment is great for doing various exercising and maintained well and the gym is over all cleaned very well but I always have this feeling of being overly monitored by personal trainers and other employees and managers they seem to not be so friendly in my impression and there attitudes towards me like it’s more about a good ole boy club ran there with gym Bullyingrather than a gym because they seem to only want certain people to exercise there ? I know that may sound wild but that’s the impression I get and I have spoken with the past 3 managers about this and they promised they don’t encourage or support gym bulling from employees or other members and the current manager I tried talking with him as far as just saying hi and he completely ignored me numerous times I already canceled my membership so I am done with whatever is going on out there

Leadership and upkeep of the gym has gone down substantially. With an emphasis of the leadership. It seems like weekly there are new things broken or inadequately stocked. I will just say that since the change in management there has been a radical shift in the gym culture. Leadership that took over make for a poor experience when they are present on the gym floor. The receptionists always try to welcome you or say good bye with a smile, but that's not enough, because at all costs they want you to join the membership, and they don't explain extra "maintenance" and cancellation charges that I found surprisingly unpleasant. They also make you an appointment with a personal instructor who intimidates you when you tell him that you are not interested in paying more than $100 a month just so he can tell you what to do 1 or 2 days a week. I don't recomended. If you don't care any of this, they have good machines and is a clean place... Your choise

They took money, didn't provide the service, then tell us that we have to "talk to corporate". When you call corporate, they tell you it has to be fixed at the gym. 4 months later, we're still trying to get refunded our money or get the service we paid for.

Contracted covid in August. Was very ill for weeks. Not only was I still charged for August but they tried to slip in an additional fee claiming it was the admin fee charged after 60 days which was never disclosed. Was told it was just my monthly fee I had to pay. After recovery I sent in a cancelation request, through the website, as we just couldn't afford it. Never got a response from it and I was willing to pay the fees to cancel. Now I'm harassed on the daily and they try to make me feel like I'm in the wrong and are charging me over $1000 for collections. If you cared about your members at all you'd communicate with them on their needs not your own as we didn't have to choose your gym.

Very clean facility, they maintain and upkeep the equipment well. The staff is qualified and knowledgeable, and they have plenty of trainers for any level of experience. Very happy overall with them, except the hours the gym is open are some of the most inconvenient hours I have ever seen from a gym. Only open until 9pm week days and close even earlier on the weekends, if you work late at night / get off work beyond 6pm this isn't the gym for you
