This is an excellent local gym. It's conveniently located right in the Siesta Key village, provides 24 hour access via PIN code, and is very well-kept. As someone who enjoys weightlifting, it can be difficult to find a reasonably priced gym with good equipment while on vacation (hotel gyms just don't cut it). This place has all of the equipment you'll need to get a great workout for every muscle group. Highly recommend!

I do believe the last time I enjoyed Siesta Key Fitness was before Bruce purchased and cleaned the place up, Daquri deck was still cafe gardens, the village smelled of smoked mullet and ocean air. What I do find humorous are those comparing SFC to LA. Fitness it is akin of comparing burger King to Ruth's Chris... ie LA fitness is the burger King of gyms. SFC caters to athletes, LA fitness... well most of their clients will be back on the couch before their maxed out lulumon credit card is due. lets we not forget Bruce is one of the fittest humans you will meet, if I was half as fast as he is on a paddleboard I'd be quite happy

This was the perfect gym with everything I needed to keep things ticking over whilst on holiday. Bruce the owner was such a great guy and we all loved chatting to him each morning. The gym itself was spotless, quiet and had great facilities!

First off…the owner Bruce is the G.O.A.T!💪🏼 This was absolutely perfect for our stay in Siesta Key. Fantastic location and worth the price for the privacy & chill vibes. We honestly looked forward to visiting each day and chatting to Bruce, he was super friendly and even gave us some awesome reccs for our trip. BEST fitness center for miles! 👟🤸🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♂️

Very nice in every way - however extremely expensive. Bought multiple weekly passes for the family, $15/day * 7 each (even if we are only there a few days total). Also not sure if the floor can handle deadlifts, so I haven't been able to do any.
Edit: Apparently deadlifts are ok, so proceed to deadlift! I didn't want to risk damaging anything.

Amazing gym. It is perfect for those who want a quality gym, with quality people. The membership fees are really fair, and it made our vacation perfect. Owner is amazing, everyone who uses it respects the rules, and takes care of this absolute gem. Note: I have a membership at a national chain which I could have utilized in Sarasota right off the island, but this private gym in the best location, was well worth the $. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I'll be back!

Worst gym I’ve ever been to I’m only here for another 2 days as a visitor and wanted to lift and they said if I wanted to workout I would have to spend $115 for a week and I even offered $40 for a 30min workout and they basically told me to get out

Ok. …. This fitness club is the essence of the key ….Fitness wise, it has everything you need to be fit.. It’s a very friendly and social environment for those who like people. Sure, you could save 10 bucks a week driving off the island and joining the big ones. No thanks, I did that once and no comparison to Bruce’s place !!

If you are visiting and looking for a gym to go to do not go to this one. It is super difficult to figure out how to get a membership and they only take week memberships, so I would highly recommend going to a real gym like a YouFit or something if you want something cheaper for better, and it actually has someone to help you and not some lady that stares at you from the inside saying it’s a pRiVatE gYm

First problem is the PRICE! Close to $800 @ year is TOO HIGH when LA FITNESS and others are $120 per year. Save your money, folks.
Second problem . There are TOO MANY RULES. No cell phone talk is allowed in the gym. No CNN News allowed on the TVs even when you are the only one there. Repeat NO NEWS CHANNELS AT ALL are allowed.
Third problem. No heavy breathing or making noise allowed while excercising.
Fourth problem. There are TOO MANY RULES for the MONEY. And you are even charged for WATER for $800/year. You are even asked to straighten your parked car when the lot is EMPTY after hours.

Finally, save $680 @ year (by going to LA FITNESS OR PLANET FITNESS) and have more equipment and aerobic classes with better ventilation. AND YES CNN NEWS...............

Terrible customer service. I was a regular there for 4 years in spite or poor treatment. it was close to our home. I arrived one morning before they opened, although many people were in there. I knocked on the door and one of the workers just looked at me, and ignored me..... I knocked again, and he said we don't open until 9:00 am...... it was 8:45. I walked back home and called the owner, Bruce. His response was astounding to me. He just said the hours are posted on the door and thats the way it is. I owned businesses for 35 years. I couldn't believe how he treated me. I'm retired now and spend winters on the Key. I realize most of his business is a one time vacationer and he doesn't need to be cordial to his customers, but I will never set foot in that place again.

This is in response to the owners tainted version of reality since I guess I cant respond to it!! YES, my name is Kline Kauramaki!! I didn't know it was posted under an email I have with google for what I call a spam file!! Bruce, go look at my reviews of your business under YELP, and other social media platforms!! YOU will see my name clearly! And your pompous self serving response is just more proof of how you treat customers, and your attitude. Your reviews are clearly friends and family that anyone can do, and does! and you lie about the timing and my 8:45 call to you! just not true...

As for my membership expiration?? why not tell the truth?? or is it just so your response remains consistent? You know very well I talked to you the day before and ASKED you when my membership expired. you didnt even know! lol... I ASKED YOU! you looked it up! I also told you I was going to bring my checkbook the next morning to write another check! SO yes go ahead and post anything you want... i'm saying the word!! show how mature you are and how the customer is always correct. Regardless, my wife and I went down and joined LA Fitness right off the North bridge!! GREAT PLACE!! Wish I had found it sooner. And by the way, your place might seem full, but only because its the size of a closet. LA Fitness has it all and is less than half the price! I paid $99 for a month at Siesta Key Fitness..... I just paid $125 for 3 months at LA Fitness!! AMAZING! they have 100's of machines, swimming pool, basketball court, several free classes from water aerobics, spinning, Yoga, and its all included!! So Bruce, I guess my leaving was great for both us!! My wife was so impressed with the place she joined, too! Never joined your place because she said it was just too small.....CHEERS!

I was on Siesta Key for a week’s vacation, I wanted to exercise first thing in the mornings and this gym fit the bill perfectly. Price was good, owner Bruce took the time to explain all procedures (Key card entry and hours card needed to be used) to me even though I was only going to be in town for the week. I will definitely use this gym on my next trip to Siesta Key.

Siesta Key Fitness is a great little gym with a true island feel. The owners were super nice when I went to work out and even coached me on a lifting technique to make sure I did it correctly. I first joined this gym three years ago. Can’t beat the location and the price if you live or stay on the key. I love the intimate feeling and having those who work there greet you by name with a smile on their face. It’s an extremely friendly place....I have belonged to many gyms and members here are the most respectful towards one another that I have ever experienced. It’s lovely working out at a gym where everyone seems happy. My favorite part is the front porch where I can workout and enjoy the awesome weather.
