I have been working with Andrew for over 5 years. Today I am stronger and fitter than I was when I was 20 years old. I read a few years ago that strength was more important than aerobic exercise after the age of 50. I can now attest to that. I started training at Smart Fitness in October of 2023. Over the last year and a half, I have experienced significant improvement in physical strength and endurance. As a Martial Artist for the last 20 years, these improvements will contribute to my ongoing participation in Martial Art for the next 20+ years. The entire training staff, Andrew, Jonathan and Jared collaborate to address individual goals and objectives. This is truly, PERSONAL TRAINING.
In July of 2024 I increased my training from 20 minutes twice a week to 40 minutes twice a week meeting my specific objectives for strength training and conditioning. This isn’t necessary for everyone. This change was based on my personal fitness goals and was made in consultation with the staff in a supportive environment. The extended time and additional cost focus on strength, conditioning, and therapeutic exercises. I have specific training objectives that I want to accomplish. I was able to work with the staff in a non-pressure environment and make a solid decision on my fitness objectives.
Smart Fitness provides a welcoming, positive, clean, and well-maintained environment. The staff is knowledgeable and experienced in helping individuals achieve their fitness goals. Based on this experience, Smart Fitness is recommended for those seeking a tailored fitness program.

Smart Fitness has been the missing key to life after sports in college for me. In school I had structure and a responsibility to my coach and my team to take care of myself. As I have gotten older, that responsibility shifted and I had let my own health decrease in my priorities.
Now, I feel that accountability again with Andrew, Jared, and Jonathan. They understand that I have multiple priorities and are flexible to those, but still expect my best and full dedication when I am there. The workouts so far are easing me back into the mind set of loving working out again without moving too fast, which can be at times frustrating, but needed to reduce the chance of injury. The amount of effort taken and continue to make to ensure past injuries are known is impressive.
I have been primarily working with Jared and it has been like a dream come true to have someone that understands my past, my mindset, and is a pleasure to be around. Smart Fitness may be more expensive than the big gyms, but this is an investment for life. I can already tell that I am building on my past experience with sports and weight lifting to work with my life outside of school and make myself and my health a priority.

Several years ago I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and was ready to have spinal surgery. After 3 months of physical therapy I felt better so decided to hold off. Fast forward 6 months after stopping therapy and the pain was back. This is when I found Smart Fitness. It’s personal training unlike anything you’ve probably ever had. I figured it was worth a try. The level of care and focus you receive twice a week for 20 minutes is unparalleled! I’m stronger than I’ve been in years and the strength training has really helped keep the pain away. I started back at Smart Fitness over 2 years ago. My goal….to avoid having to have a Total Knee Replacement. I committed to 2- 20 minute sessions a week. I was amazed at how quickly my body responded. This gave me the courage that I could go ahead with the surgery.
This month I am celebrating 1 year of having my Total Knee Replacement. When my rehab began….I committed to 2 - 40 minute sessions a week. I am beyond thrilled at the strength my body has gained. It's a great place to build a good strength foundation while working on mobility. I worked with Jonathan for a couple years during which I had carpel tunnel surgery. The studio has a number of "older" men and women so you won't feel like you're in a bro gym unless the owner is hulking out *wink* JFK ( he only does that when the place is empty).
Smart Fitness has zero gym bunnies. Everyone is supportive. There is free water & coffee. The equipment is new and clean. Also Josie Lambert offers message therapy.
I've been able to graduate to personal trainer without a membership, or gym membership requirement now that I'm healed to work on more specific fitness goals as a martial artist and motorcyclist. Smart Fitness will always hold a special place in my journey, my time there was well spent and I surpassed my goals. (Lifting more than my body weight for osteogenic loading without harm to my wrists)

I originally joined Smart Fitness with the intention of improving my pickleball game AND of building some strength around a knee that had been giving me problems around a torn meniscus. Little did I know that this decision would lead to many other benefits! Beyond improving my pickleball game, I've noticed significant enhancements in my strength, endurance, and overall fitness levels. I have lost 35 lbs since starting my program at Smart Fitness and my husband, not to be outdone, joined me one month after I started. Short review: If you are intimidated by “big box gyms,” you are coming back from an injury, or you simply don’t know how/where to start improving your health and physical fitness you need to try Smart Fitness. When you sign up you will get one on one attention and a personalized program in a clean, bright, well-maintained gym. The trainers are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and willing to meet you wherever you are on your fitness journey. I feel 100% comfortable giving them a 5 star rating and my full recommendation!
Long review: My 13 year old daughter injured her shoulder in late 2023 and was out of her sport for half the season. We saw a doctor at a well-known orthopedic institute, and after the MRI, the PT, and the rehab it really boiled down to the fact that she needed to learn the proper way to strengthen her shoulders, back, and chest muscles to prevent future injuries. I decided to find her a trainer who could 1) accommodate her injury as she was healing, 2) make sure she was learning/using safe and proper form, 3) train her in a friendly, comfortable environment, and 4) instill in her the value of physical fitness at an early age. That search led me to Smart Fitness. She works out with Jonathan, twice a week for 20 minutes, and it has been an excellent experience! He has exceeded my expectations, and my daughter looks forward to going. He started out teaching her basic moves and laying a good foundation. He’s now moving into some plyometric training and heavier weight, challenging her in a safe, appropriate way. He keeps the workout moving so she doesn’t get bored… no grinding out a million reps. Jonathan is 0% drill sergeant and 100% encouragement and positivity (even when making a correction to her form), which is a perfect fit for my daughter! The gym is clean and bright, the equipment is well maintained, and there is NOT a wall of mirrors with a bunch of guys fighting for space to preen. Andrew, the owner, is always present and involved. Be prepared to spend a some money on this because it’s not cheap, but I feel 100% comfortable giving them a 5 star rating, my full recommendation, and I plan for my daughter to continue with Jonathan and Smart Fitness for the foreseeable future!

After I retired , I found myself getting weaker each year. I joined other gyms but the motivation to keep going just wasn't there for me. After 3 years of getting weaker each year, I finally stopped in Smart Fitness one day. The staff there were very friendly so I set up a consultation visit. The Personal one on one Training concept made me think, "Maybe this is the motivation I need to start getting back into shape!" After several months, my average swing speed has increased, I feel strong throughout my golf rounds instead of tiring out halfway through, and my scores are lower. I love this program! Its personal (Andrew is a fantastic motivator), efficient (20 mins hard core workouts) and I am seeing results in 2 weeks already! Excellent facility. Trainers are out of this world good! Mike is my go to for shoulder rehab. After seeing countless doctors and numerous rehab specialist he is the only one who really helped me heal. The pain before seeing Mike was tremendous and I couldn't even lift my arm above the collar bone area. Now I'm lifting heavy weights and super happy with the results. Prior to my experience here I used to at one time workout daily with a lot of self motivation. Over the course of the last 3 years I've lost not only interest in working out but also most importantly the time to put towards going to a gym. Yes, that may just be an excuse... But due to my busy work schedule I have had little to no success getting myself into the gym. Smart fitness originally attracted me in because of the "20 minute workout" they advertise. I thought to myself, this would be perfect and I hope that it works! ..... Well like I said, 6 weeks in and I'm feeling great results. I didn't think it would be possible to feel this sore from just 20 minutes! But wow is this a great workout. The other thing I like most about working out with smart fitness is the attention to detail. For being someone who is just getting back into working out, it was very important to me to make sure I have correct form. They take the time to guide you through the entire workout from start to finish making sure you do every movement correctly. Super important not just for myself personally but really for everyone in my opinion. Can't recommend these guys enough! Give it a try!
