I love this gym. The equipment is wonderful. The Staff on the other hand have been unprofessional and borderline rude. I am moving and attempting to cancel my membership with them and the GM texted me saying I would receive a confirmation and never sent it. I am now reaching out [email, phone, and text] no one is answering. I have never received such poor customer service form a gym before. Very disappointed as the facility is great.

He was spoken to like a criminal, and treated like a child. I have read the text exchange, and it is posted for all to see. You say you showed grace, but ultimately you showed your arrogance and pride. What's more is it was a gym member who caught the door behind him. He didn't hold the door, and he wasn't letting anyone in for free as you accuse.
As far as my own husband goes, he did nothing. He gave a two star review, because he also doesn't appreciate how his brother was spoken to. You suspended his membership for criticism, and as much was admitted to.

The Gym and the Equipment are fine, but the Owner and Management are degrading, condescending, and rude. They will accuse you of things that you did not do and terminate your membership if you give them below a 4-star review. I don't know why any business owner chooses to treat their cliental the way this owner and his team treat their clients. I will not be back!! I’ve been a member for 3-4 years so far, and I can say with full confidence that Smash Fitness is the best branch of gyms in SWFL. As a competitive powerlifter, I’ve never had an issue with a lack of equipment at any of their facilities. The staff is always super friendly, and they do a great job at keeping the gym clean. I can't say enough! As an older woman going back to the gym it can be intimidating but when I entered the building to get information I met Amy and immediately knew this was the place for me. She made me feel comfortable and eased any apprehensions I had. She is always smiling and genuinely wants people to succeed. Had my free consultation with David who is one of the kindest and most patient young man I have ever met. He was knowledgeable and encouraging. He listens and takes the time to explain proper techniques and use of equipment. He too wants people to successfully achieve their goals. There is a mix of people using the gym and never once did it feel uncomfortable or out of place. Equipment, showers and other areas are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend Smash Fitness.

I started going to this gym a few months ago after I left Amped and this is night and day difference. The staff is 1000% more helpful and insightful!! I had a problem with my 24hr key fob and they were able to help fix it immediately and were kind and courteous! Equipment is top notch and clean! Been working out here for the last month and really enjoy it. They pack a lot into the space but very comfortably and there’s almost never a wait for equipment. Staff is helpful and I have learned a lot from my personal trainer David. My only con is the small locker area with one bench that can get very crowded for people getting ready for work. Another bench or 2 would be very helpful.

I had a bitter experience in this place, I took my teenage daughter last year around this time to motivate her a little to see life in a different way, I paid with a credit card 💳 since it was broken with the debit card, I told my daughter mommy I can't take you anymore because we don't have enough to spend on the gym and still without knowing it they have been charging me for a year $ 77.99 for a supposed membership, I didn't find out because my payment had been with credit and now I have a debt of 1000 dollars the strangest thing of all is that supposedly the membership was for 6 months and they spent almost a year charging me that amount of money and I was restricted from being able to take my daughter. I told them what happened to me, I sent them emails and nothing they just show me the computer contract with my signature, a bitter experience I hope they never have to go through that.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the 'surprise charge' feature from this gym. Apparently, not putting your weights back warrants a debit straight from your card, no warning necessary! EDIT: I spoke to Breantt this morning who actually helped and provided a refund. I appreciate him reaching out and fixing the issue. I stand by the manager being unprofessional but I will say Breantt showed empathy and apologized for the previous response I had received from the manager. I hope the manager takes this as a learning opportunity going forward.

The owners and manager of this gym are absolutely unprofessional and greedy. My husband is a member who had a life-threatening emergency and they refused to cancel his membership without charging him for an extra month knowing he medically cannot use the membership. The manager showed no empathy, not even once asked if my husband is ok or sorry that this is happening. Instead, he ignored my email and went ahead and charged our card again. After I called he asked me to send proof of his hospitalization (which I did) and said he will speak with the owner so they can refund me. The owner decided not to refund us and still required a 30 day notice knowing this was an unexpected and horrible situation we are going through. It’s truly unbelievable that they care more about $41 than their reputation because this truly makes them look horrible. Would you want your hard earned money going to a place that doesn’t care about their members at all? I promise you there are tons of better gyms with good owners who would NEVER respond like this.

Response: 1. Your response is not true as he was only able to use the first month (January) he did not use the gym even once in February which was was when he was hospitalized. We paid for February even though he was never able to use it that month. 2. Also false that March had already been paid, I personally visited the gym AND emailed your manager about the situation BEFORE my card was charged (which again he ignored my email). You could have stopped that charge if you wanted to but of course you didn’t. So what was I looking for? Clearly a refund because he already paid for a whole momth he couldn’t medically use and you want him to pay for ANOTHER ONE. You offered a credit after I expressed my dissatisfaction which should have let you know he is NOT coming back to this gym. So offering a useless credit is another slap in the face. Again I will make sure to spread the word about the owners and management of this gym because the way you have responded just shows you don’t care a single bit about your members.

Firstly, a HUGE shout-out to Steven for being one if not the best employee there, along with the new ASM Diego, as he welcomed my best friend & with superb energy & friendliness. We have started our fitness journeys in June & are planning on renewing in January! The main gym has: a Booty Builder room, weightlifting materials, treadmills, & a smoothie bar. The 24-hr side with the $20 fob purchase is excellent for those who want to meet time-crunching schedules & control of one's health. My friend & I definitely recommend the fob so if one side is busy, just hustle on over to the other & SMASH a workout!

It is a smaller gym and it does not have as much equipment as larger gems, but it is much cleaner in comparison. Also, their equipment works much better than what you would expect to find in bigger gems. The staff is pretty cool. I am an avid fitness fanatic and have a been working out for 20+ years.
I have a been a member of multiple gyms over the years and I can truly say this is the best gym I have ever been to in all my years of training.
The equipment here is truly first class. The equipment brands they have are Arsenal Strength, Rogue, Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, Panatta. It all looks brand new and the equipment here you do not see at any other gyms in the area.
I keep telling management this gym is too cheap and they need to charge much more LOL!!!! I moved here from another state and the gym I used to work out at had similar equipment but was much more expensive, so Smash is a steal.
The women’s bathroom is LITERALLY PURE HEAVEN! There’s so many goodies and beauty items in there, it’s wonderful to have especially if I forget something! They also have a massive selection of cold drinks in the cooler ( I buy one daily!) and a great selection of supplements, protein, preworkout, etc.

And best part about this gym………it’s a local small business!!! I always prefer to support small businesses if I can. You can tell they take a lot of pride and care in the gym. None of that corporate BS like other facilities. Do yourself a favor and join here!

This is an amazing gym and one of the best gyms I’ve ever been a member of! I have been a member here for a little over a year and have nothing but great things to say about this facility. The equipment here is top notch, it is always clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming and eager to help any time you should have a question. Nothing is ever broken or out of order for long and I have seen staff multiple times on the floor repairing anything damaged asap. They just opened a 24-hour facility that has amazing high quality equipment. The monthly fee is extremely cheap in my opinion for the quality, cleanliness and amenities you receive. I moved here from a big city and paid 4x as much at my old gym and it was old run down equipment- so Smash is a huge bargain for everything you get! I also love that they have no hidden fees, and prices are transparent.

My name is Jerry and I'm 73yo. Have been a member of this gym for about 3 years. I moved here to this area about 3 years ago. I have been a competitive weightlifter when I was young and a trained fitness trainer for my fire dept. for 20yrs prior to retirement. I've been a member of a good number of clubs throughout my adult life, even having my own home gym. This gym is the best one yet, with excellent equipment that is maintained very well. The personnel including Mgt. are great and keep the club running like a Swiss watch, The best equipment I've ever been exposed to from heavy free weights to the best, most modern equipment available. If you can't find the equipment to do an exercise in this gym, you don't need to do it!

Fantastic gym, I used this place for my showers when I was living in my car after Hurricane Ian took my Home and belongings away from me. They are a 24/7 gym with everything you need to get fit. Their showers and locker room are immaculate and the water is hot. Great Professional trainers on site and there are some Pro Bodybuilders here that work out too.,Everybody is friendly here and they have a good playlist of music to help keep you in the mood, check them out if you live in the Daniels pkwy,gateway area,good place to socialize and get fit at same time!

I have been a member of this gym for almost a year and have been very happy until today. Arnold, the GM, left me a voicemail letting me know they were charging my card 80 dollars for not re racking my weights.

I have worked out in various gyms 5 days a week for 12 years and have never once had an issue with my gym etiquette. Arnold let me know I did not re-rack my weight on a machine this morning and therefore I violated their policy. I am not perfect and made a mistake by forgetting to re rack my weight this morning but getting charged 80 dollars for that is absurd and highly unprofessional. I was given no warning, no heads up, and no communication. I told Arnold if he charges me 80 dollars I will be terminating my membership and he replied "too late I already charged your card".

When I asked why I was not notified or warned, he told me it is because they could not identify who I was. Keep in mind, I scan my key fob at every gym visit and am also around gym employees during every workout - and yet still no one notified me.

I believe this type of business practice is highly unethical. I informed Arnold I would be filing a complaint with the "BBB" to which he replied, "I recommend not doing that because we will sue you if you do".

If your employees followed me for months cleaning up after me, why didn't a single one of them say anything to me? Because it didn't happen

Why didn't you send me the footage of me not racking my weights every workout after I asked 3 different times? Because it didn't happen

If each violation is $35, then how did you settle on $80? Can you not do math or were you upset that you had to return 8 plates the one time I forgot and $80 is the number that felt right to you?

Why did you call me offering to refund my money if I deleted my 1 star review?

It's not about the money, it's about the principle of treating your customers with decency and respect and not talking to them like children.

I've been coming here for awhile now I started off coming here when I was visiting down here and was very pleased with the gym, this location is very convenient for me since I'm out in labelle, they just opened a 24 hour side so help with this location because it's smaller than their other ones. The staff is friendly and helpful, the trainers know what they're doing and are helpful to regular gym goers.

Their Bonita location is one of a kind, very nice gym with all the equipment you could think of, a powerlifting side that is fully equipped for powerlifters.

I've been to numerous gyms in SWFL with my insurance and this gym is by far the best one I've been to overall. 10/10 recommend giving it a look and trying it out if you like it. The size can be overwhelming at first because it seems small, but it definitely doesn't get as packed as it use to before the 24 hour side.

They are constantly improving their gym and business. Now they have the 24 hour gym with lots of brand new equipment open right next to the other one. Lots of great trainers and supplements available too. Nothing like it in our area. Thanks!

Everything you need for a very serious workout as well as the beginner. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Trainers are available and they have good programs for any age.
I like this place. Has a good mix of people of all ages. New building has 24 hour access. Decent parking. Go have a tour.

Great gym. Top of the line equipment. Great atmosphere. They have supplements, smoothies, chef prepared meals, and towel service available. They opened a 24/7 day a week workout room across the parking lot. The owner, manager, staff and trainers are all AMAZING!!! There are bigger gyms out there but you won’t get the atmosphere and every up-to date equipment like this location. I can not recommend them enough.

Hi,

I’ve been a member here for about a year and have absolutely enjoyed it! Why? They have all the equipment you need for body building, powerlifting, aerobic work and more. In addition, they opened their new space close by that’s open 24/7 so I can go anytime and get a great workout in. Both gyms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Other pluses: they have a towel service, a smoothie bar, a large selection of nutritional supplements to help with your fitness goals or, just a quick caffeine pick me up that helps get you going at 5am 😉

In summary, I’m happy to have found a great gym that takes pride in their facility and members!

I've been in the gym industry for 20 years and I've never came across the gym that is so well put together. Excellent high quality equipment, extremely clean, great atmosphere, friendly staff and non intimidating. Would recommend this gym to anyone that's sick of the typical rat race gym you see nowadays.

Good gym with good quality equipment. Multiple power racks, benches, large dumbbell rack and a good amount of machines as well as deadlift platforms. However if from 5pm to about 9pm it's packed. Hard to get a rack or bench during those times. They were suppose to open an expanded area in the same complex on September 1st but that has yet to happen. So plan your visit accordingly.

Great gym. Various types of equipment are available, and the gym is clean and well-maintained. Due to the extensive health benefits, I hope there will be a new dry sauna in the expanded space. I would prefer not to have to join another gym for sauna use. Overall, an excellent place for a solid workout!

A pretty small gym with top of the line equipment, which makes up for the size. They have a lot of different supplements and drinks to buy, also a smoothie bar.
Definitely avoid coming here at night, it gets way too overcrowded. Another good thing would be that it's the only gym that doesn't charge a start up fee or annual fee. I would definitely give them a chance. I have made this my permanent gym location.

Love it! Switched to smash after 4 years at planet fitness and mad at myself for not switching sooner. The club itself is pretty small, but they have plenty of great quality equipment and some pretty cool features like a shop to buy supplements, shakes, food, clothes, etc and even a smoothie bar!
The bathrooms are immaculate and always smell clean. Lots of showers and ammenties to use and even a little sauna.
Most pleased with my experience with one of the managers, Mr Zafra, who heard my concerns about a broken peice of equipment and got it replaced immediately. Professional, fast and overall excellent experience! Thanks for the new bike Mr.Z!!

Just moved to Lehigh and this is the best gym in the area. It’s not “the biggest”, but it literally has everything, and I love the set up to maximizing every inch of the gym. Equipment is grade A, atmosphere awesome, staff is professional and the shakes the staff makes are good!

Joined Smash Fitness two weeks ago. Very clean and well maintained. Great staff. Patrons work and share the areas well. Like the "no contract" payments. Reminds me of the small "old school" Palestra Gym US 1 in Philadelphia, PA back in the 1990's. Less space than Smash.

I work near the Gateway location. I have used the Bonita Springs location after shopping at Coconut Point. I live near Lee Civic Center. Was awaiting for Anytime Fitness to expand to State Road 80 but nothing went through. I ended membership with them. Is this area of interest for Smash Fitness? Anyway I can at present use the Gateway location. Many thanks 😊

I was in town for work for 2 weeks and searched for nearby gyms, the hotel one was horrible. I purchased a 7 day pass, very easy to do, friendly staff. My workouts were mostly between 8am and 10am, plenty of room and a ton of equipment. I ended up getting a couple of day passes to round out my stay. Clean facility that I would highly recommend.

I just moved to Florida and stared working out in this Gym, and it has nothing to envy other gyms,i love the personal trainer classes,i have improve my body,and the equipment seems new and well mantain,everything clean,i csnt believe how good its this place. Since there is no zero stars I will have to give it 1. So they have a sign saying the gym is open today December 31st from 7 am to 3 pm but there is a trainer with a client in there. Doors are opened and the trainer comes to me and says. We are not opened until 7 am. Really? I am a paying member and he comes to me with that poor professional attitude. It is 6:30 am and he would not allow me to train in a completely empty gym I am paying my monthly fees and he sees me there every morning training. Poor customer service!! Terrible attitude. I guess it is time ro switch to another facility!

First of all, the most important thing of a gym is equipment, Smash Fitness have pretty much of the equipment you would need 10/10. Second of all, Sanitation everyone can get their bottle of cleaner to clean after them self after each workout 10/10. Third of all, is the people is very friendly I have people who I didn’t know help me in my pull up 10/10. last of all, Since it a privately own gym the space was not too big, but it was okay 8/10.

In short Very Recommended, Of you live in Fort Myers can have one day completely free trial. Only need ID or Guardian.

Small gym that is often crammed, It has a sauna that I was told takes over an hour to heat up. Tried to use the facility and was berated by a female member of staff who chased me down, told me I didn't have a valid membership, and rudely scoffed that this was a premium club and that no membership would exist as cheap as I had paid. (I originally was led to believe that I had access to both clubs, and that it was only extra for 24/7 access), which this gym doesn't have. I am extremely disappointed in how the employee handled the situation.

Good gym, they have lots of equipment some of which you wouldn’t even find in a larger gym. The equipment seems top of the line and well kept and the staff are chill. It sometimes gets packed in the evenings, like I’m talking night club vibes at its busiest. I wish it was a bit bigger, but at least they have no annual or signup fees. The biggest downside to this gym is that they are not open 24/7, I really wish they were!
